Why All That Is Turned Away From the Light Will Suddenly Vanish From the Earth

The mere promise of an answer to this question: “Why will everything turned away from the Light suddenly vanish from the earth?” already mediates a liberating calm for many people who long for a pure and peace-filled life

And that is very good, for it is a sign that on earth there are still enough people who are of a pure inner being, of good volition, and who with every new day look for the drawing near of changes for the better

Towards this the way is also being shaped precisely by their own attunement to good which these people bear within them

At the same time, however, in many people there certainly arises at once a quiet doubt springing from the reflection whether something of the kind is really possible, that everything turned away from the Light should suddenly vanish from the earth

This doubt also appears because whoever has ever concerned himself with all the foretellings and prophecies expects rather the heavy clash announced by the prophets, that is, a struggle and a battle between the Light and the darkness, which is to come in the time of the culminating great changes on earth

Thereby there arises the not entirely unjustified question: “How could everything turned away from the Light vanish from this earth, where precisely everything working against the Light is firmly rooted?”

The answer to it has hitherto not been clearly and distinctly given, and therefore there is here so much doubt and hesitation

According to the reflection of most people something of the kind cannot therefore be expected, for no one suspects how it could be fulfilled that in the end everything that works against the Light should simply vanish from the earth

The explanation, however, is very simple, and for it one needs to know only the essence of the working of the Light in Creation

It is also needful to see rightly what position everything opposing the Light has in Creation

The Light is the ruler in Creation, whereas the darkness in the planes of the Subsequent Creation is as yet only a tolerated, transient state

The Light is the bearer of all power for life

Everything that stands against the Light, however, has no independent source or origin which could endure without power out of the Light

The Light is the radiation of the Love of God, whereas the darkness always needs this Love of God for its still temporary disintegrating activity

The picture of the snake that bites the hand which feeds it corresponds exactly

Truly it is so, for the darkness standing against the Light cannot do otherwise than that it too, in its transience, lives from the Light

Therefore also, despite Lucifer's campaign through the materialities known to us, turned away from the Will of God, the Light of God is from the beginning of the arising of everything the sole victor

Of the victory of the Light there can therefore be no doubt whatever

The continuance of the influence of the darkness upon this world, so long experienced by people, was and is given as a state of transience, which is the time necessarily needed for the ordering of all the threads of fate of all creatures for the fulfilment of the Justice of God

Precisely because from the viewpoint of earthly people it has hitherto seemingly lasted so long, it has led many to distrust that anything of the kind will yet come

But in this there lies only the confirmation of the state of how the humanly earthly perceiving of the great cycle of happenings in Creation is severed from the working of the Divine Wisdom, which spreads out in a manifold breadth above the human conception of time and space

The inability to raise themselves higher has gradually issued, in many otherwise well-meaning people, in fears about how everything may finally turn out

This fear also plainly shows how shallowly the true knowledge of the Light and of its guidance of the ways of development is rooted in people on earth

It is precisely only out of the lack of true knowledge of the Light and of God's guidance of the worlds that there flows the distrust which corrodes the understanding of the further development of the happening

The Light, manifesting itself in all life, is guided by the Primordially Eternal Wisdom of God to the fulfilment of the most exactly Just settlements of all the shades of volition of every inhabitant of Creation

What in the heights of the Light is fulfilled at once in the fine transparency and directness of all radiations, that same thing in the materialities of the Subsequent Creation needs to set ways which never step beyond the bounds of the Loving-Kindness of God, which appears as incomprehensibly patient towards everything humanly spiritual in its development

The Justice of God always follows precisely all that belongs to the inward experiencing of individual human spirits

Therein lies that greatness of the Justice of God, which is other than all the reflections of people concerning this concept

The Justice of God works in great circles and at the same time contains also everything smallest that concerns the motives of the inner being of each of the creatures

In this there then lies the need for patience, which at the same time takes effect as a weaving, invisible to the earthly eye, of all the ways of the humanly spiritual development in the Subsequent Creation

So that the fulfilment of the manifestation of the Justice of God could come also here on earth, it was needful that first everything for it should be ordered

Thus everything had to come to a certain degree of maturity with every person who is on earth just now

That of course demanded a patience stretching across the centuries, for spiritual ripening always goes its own ways and cannot be arbitrarily hastened towards some narrowly seen goal

But this people know well after all, for example in the small with plants and their fruits

They can even observe it absolutely everywhere in nature

Maturity can never be forced, for it truly needs to ripen in the full content of this concept, which means that everything needful must be evenly fulfilled up to a certain degree which is designated by the guiding power as the attaining of maturity

The one true guiding power in Creation is the Will of God

Everywhere that people seek to circumvent the conditions of maturity set in nature by the animistic weaving, whereby they stand against the Will of God, there in the end there always appear sickliness, weakness and even harmfulness in all the fruits thus hastily ripened

The Light always exactly fulfils the Laws of God and goes along ways which never hasten anything, but everything is realised solely and only in the purest full value of the necessary intermediate steps for attaining a whole maturity

What holds good of nature holds good also of human development and ripening

Therefore all the threads woven by the Light also needed the fulfilment of the condition that the maturity of human spirits should be such that not a single one on earth is exposed unjustly to the great shift of the coming changes, that is, without the possibility of an inward understanding of these changes

That is, that with his spirit he is in his experiencing and recognising of the world happening so far advanced that he is no longer unknowing in it

This condition of a certain conscious maturity in the spirit is the work of the Love of God, which goes hand in hand with the Justice of God in all the weaving of the development of events

When people grasp this conditioned happening, then they will be led to a further, higher degree of knowledge which is still lacking to them today, because they lack for it the ability to reflect in the wider circles of happening in which all that comes out of the Divine unfolds

Many happenings thus still conceal for today's perceiving of the human kind on earth a necessary boundary beyond which it is not easy to come in the present intellectual manner of reflection

Therefore there is here so much lack of understanding, impatience, unrest, and above all distrust in the victory of the Light on this earth

Yet it holds good that even in the heaviest manifestation of all the effects of the Justice of God there will at the same time remain for people in all the threads also the Love of God

The outward manifestations, however, are always the accompanying conditions for the ripening of the humanly spiritual, which recognises the benefit accruing to it from them only later, at a distance, often only in further places in Creation lying high above these planes of materiality

In this lies precisely the great difference between the working of the Light and everything turned away from the Light

In the great circle of the happening of development the Light is from the beginning victorious over everything that is turned away from the Light

The victory over everything belongs solely to the Light, for it is the giver and bearer of all the powers for every single particle of life in Creation, and this victory fulfils itself at the same time supremely in the perfect Justice of the Creator

Whoever will but reflect a little upon this and has at the same time a rightly and clearly attuned intuitive perception may recognise in it the key to everything that is coming

The clarifying picture of the coming development is therefore simple

In the time of the present sorting of human spirits, who have attained the maturity needed for this happening through the length of their wandering and also through repeated incarnations, everything needful has already for a certain time been woven in advance into the threads of fate, which will now only at the right moment show itself in its visibility

While people on earth for the most part slept a deep spiritual sleep, although their spirit, through a gradual meeting with the high concepts in Creation, was ripening towards the judgment, the weavers of the threads of fate wove in obedience to the Will of God everything needful, so that when the moment of change comes, everything shall be exactly prepared to take effect among people

And likewise to take effect in all the happening which will in some way be touched by the coming changes

When the moment appointed by God the Father for the beginning of the visible changes arrives, then everything will be set in motion

The hands of the weavers of the threads will in the first place swiftly tear away all the threads which are marked by the Light as lukewarm and weak

There will remain only that which in its vibration around a person is strong and distinct

And that whether it be luminous or also dark

At this initial point it is the prevailing power and expression of a person's long-standing volition that decides

In this lies that separation of mankind already so often described

Immediately after, however, there will come for the fulfilment of the animistic servants the command out of the Light that everything which is further removed from the Light, or which perhaps stands directly in resistance against it, will in its nourished threads be further cut off from any further inflow of power in Creation

Thereby everything will begin swiftly to ail and to fall apart, as when lifeless matter succumbs to decomposition and rot

This picture, however, will have in the earthly world many forms, where people standing against the Light and their works will begin to shake and to collapse more swiftly than it will be within human power to hold anything of it in life

God's immeasurable patience will at that time cease to hold good in its universality, and the Love of God will incline only towards those who will have around them only threads filled with the all-embracing volition towards good

There will therefore be no need at all for the Light to stand against the darkness and to intervene directly in its ranks in the way that people imagine an earthly, gross material battle

The Will of God will merely refuse any further possibility of an inflow of the life-giving particles of Light for everything that is marked as heading towards destruction

In this will lie that fundamental change which here has not yet been fulfilled, for the Justice of God needed to be satisfied by exactly a certain degree of maturity of all the people who are on earth

Therefore hitherto the Light kept streaming in the continuance of the Creator's original Will for everything spiritual, when it was set as the giver of powers for all the developing human spirits on earth, without people being distinguished in their striving towards good or towards evil

In this there comes now that fundamental change, which will bring about many effects in manifestations in which it will fall upon individual people

Until now the Light in its life-giving power was here for all human spirits without distinction

This held good because the all-wise Justice of God appointed a time up to which it is given to human spirits to recognise the Light out of their own living will, so that they might freely decide to head towards it as towards their life-giving goal

But this time has drawn towards its end

The Light, at the command of God the Father, is from a certain moment on no longer to be woven into the threads of human fate all-embracingly as hitherto, but only for those who with their striving vibrate in consonance with the Harmony in Creation

All the others will suddenly be deprived of the inflow of the powers which they have hitherto regarded as self-evident

Those so precious particles of Light are no longer to soak into the threads and bodies of those people who by God's decision are no longer worthy of them

The evenness of the soaking of these particles into the spiritual spark, which has lasted from the beginning until now, will no longer hold good

The Light will cease any longer to bestow gifts upon that striving of people with which they set themselves against their giver

This will hold good both for the earthly conscious and for the unconscious understanding of everything that will flow from it for people as outward experiencing

Decisive will be the direction of the volition in the inner being of the spiritual essence of a person

Either there will be here an all-embracing heading towards good, or there will still persist for a short time a lukewarm wavering, which is however now marked as a lukewarm and weak volition of the spirit

The lukewarm and weak, however, is now placed beside evil volition, which consciously works against the Light

There is therefore in reality nothing in between, for the maturity of all people is at such a degree that of themselves they are able clearly to recognise what it means when there is talk of the all-embracing volition towards good

That will be the measure for all further happening, for where there is no all-embracing volition towards good, there ailing will now soon set in

Thereby everything turned away from the Light will be exposed to an accelerated ageing, withering and disintegration under multiplying difficulties, which are always bound up with the ceasing of the life-giving rays of the Light to fall upon some place

People can after all easily picture this if, for example, in place of the Light of God they choose the gross material Sun as the source

Wherever the sunlight from the star of Apollo ceased to stream, there everything would swiftly sicken, freeze, and finally in its disintegration be scattered, so as to vanish from the face of the earth as though it had never been here

This figurative likeness in the material example of the solar disc and its life-giving rays now needs only to be carried over into the currents of the descending particles of Light which enliven everything, including those people who have not the slightest inkling of anything of the kind, and who, if anyone were still today to try to bring something of it nearer to them, would call him a fantast and would reject everything he described

This only because in a gross material, earthly way they can grasp nothing of it, they cannot touch it so as to acknowledge it as materially existing

They deny it only because it is not graspable for them in their way of seeing the world

They deny it even though without these particles of Light in their descent through Creation they cannot continue further in their being

How great therefore will be the surprise when it begins to show itself everywhere among people in the fulfilment of all the sorting of the humanly spiritual kind ordained beforehand

The Light is the giver of all being, and only out of its Loving-Kindness in mediating the powers can everything, including human spirits, continue further in Creation

And this Light will now, at God's command, support only that which in the rightness of its established volition is worthy of a further inflow of the life-giving particles of Light in God's radiation

People keep pondering how the struggle between the Light and the darkness on this earth will be fulfilled

They expect a struggle, because they have never admitted that the darkness is not a magnitude possessing its own source of power

Thereby no comparison between the Light and the darkness is ever possible, for the darkness has until now needed the Light for its continuance

The darkness therefore, even in its turning away from the Light, still needs this Light for its continuance

It is therefore not possible to speak of a clash of two powers, but only of the ending of the patience of the Light with the darkness in the fulfilment of God's all-wise Justice over all

Until now the Light, that is, God Himself, tolerated in His incomprehensible all-wisdom the development of the happening in this world part of Ephesus, in which, under the influence of Lucifer and the turning away of many people from pure and good volition, temptation and the suffering and pain of many creatures derived from it multiplied

But this time is now at an end

God's patience is fulfilled, for under all circumstances all the threads bearing within them the conditions of the Justice of God towards every creature have been fulfilled

Through this fulfilment everything can thus shift in the near future, so that the change so long yearningly awaited may come in the liberation of the earth and of all the planes adjoining it on the finer degrees of materiality

The Light is the giver of the power of life for everything that has arisen in its being and in its forms

With this life-giving power there is henceforth to be watered only that which is truly worthy of this grace and bears witness to it by its radiation and its vibrating

Thereby there will fall precisely also everything inferior which is marked by the Light as lukewarm

And the Light will then, through all the inflows of power still streaming, sever any further tolerance of that which sets itself in its attunement in opposition to the Giver of the Light

Thus there will gradually cease to stream to these places of the hermetis that which is so needful and out of which life endures, so that these places may gradually vanish from the earth as condemned to destruction

It will be weakened again and again, until at last this relation of the powers takes on a visible manifestation also here on this earth

It will come about thus because only that which is pure in its foundation and strives towards good will henceforth be strengthened for further being

The one magnitude which is decisive for the being and non-being of man is the Light with its life-giving power for all creatures

That is the foundation which can be projected into all the consequences concerning all life in Creation

Now this holds good anew in all the planes of materiality of the Subsequent Creation, in which the humanly spiritual germs develop

It holds good also for the part bearing the name Ephesus, to which this hermetis with the tiny planet Earth belongs

And the Light descends in the form of a nourishing radiation which now joins itself only with that which bears within it in its foundation a sufficient part of the homogeneous, that is, a striving towards a pure and creative volition

Only that which bears within it the will towards the Light through its radiation of the volition to good, only that can be refreshed by a further inflow of the life-giving Light

Everything else is already now withering, losing its nourishing soil, and thus lives only with the prospect of the short duration of its own exhaustion

But of course people do not believe anything of the kind

They do not believe that there could be here such plainly clear magnitudes side by side, that is, the Light and the darkness

Because many a person has let himself be confused by his intellectually material view of the world, there has arisen among people the supposition that something such as the Light and the darkness does not in reality exist

Therefore there is so much confusion among people today, where it shows itself ever more in the strengthening pressure of the happening

It calls forth a ferment which will in the end make many a good person uncertain, so that he lets himself be torn out of his trust in the Light and in God

But nothing can be done about it on behalf of others, for everyone has his fate entirely in his own hands

Therefore it is fitting here to call for the highest degree of vigilance, for a slipping into lukewarmness in the volition to good means exposing oneself to the effects of threads which lead the spirit away from all helps, and above all to a severance from the inflow of the life-giving particles of Light which every person necessarily needs for himself for his continuance

In this respect this is truly the gravest time of all the ages on earth

It demands the highest tensing of the powers of the spirit

Every wavering in this must now show itself as causing a grave severance from the Light

There are also here on earth many spirits who will no longer have the possibility of returning to this earth, if they do not change and do not enter upon the way to the Light in the awakening of the all-embracing volition towards good in their being

Their present time therefore has a great significance in the use of the last grace out of the Light

So much streams around people every day as a grave call summoning them to change

And yet in people there is only little readiness to listen to it

Thus even today people rather occupy themselves with how the world and their fellow men are to change, but not they themselves

But when this world changes, which will come soon, then they will no longer have a place here

They will cease to be tolerated here by the Light, which in the outcome amounts to a complete disinheriting from Creation

To their surprise they will discover how very little readiness for pure humanity they had within them, which is always the sign of a living spiritual inner being

That will also be the last thing for which power out of the Light will be granted to them, for so God now wills it in His all-wise Will, which brings also to these places of the Subsequent Creation the complete dominion of the Light with all the consequences that flow from it for all creatures dwelling here

Yet everyone still has his last portion of time for a truly meant change towards good

Let therefore not a single moment be wasted which offers itself as the gracious gift of God's patience
