It has already been spoken of more than once

The weavers of the threads of human existence guide from the finer planes the threads filled with quickening power, which under the all-guarding Justice of God now enter with increased force through the hands of the Alphar into man's own experiencing

The material happening is the outermost manifestation of all the finer happenings which always go before, ere anything comes to pass in this world

Only, people still do not grasp that what comes to them is in the end merely the result of the weaving of all their own radiated wishes

That mentioned radiation, drawing near in its finer vibration, can still, before its actual densification, always be changed by an earnest directing of all a man's volition towards the better

Something of this kind can be done in the threads so long as their radiation still stands only above gross matter itself

But if the happening descends as far as the material plane, then it can no longer be changed by the powers of man, for it is like a mighty force travelling along a rail, a force which draws near to him without delay, bearing within itself the result of a finished happening appointed for him

This finished manifestation in the dense earthly world must then be accepted by man as the just result of the joining of all the until then finer radiations, which draw ever nearer to him like the unstoppable advance of a weaver's loom

The kind and the nature of the experiencing at the moment of their manifestation in material effect can no longer be halted or reversed in any way

It must now manifest itself somehow and thereby discharge itself, regardless of what it brings with it for man

It is therefore then too late for any change, once the experiencing has reached the man and the happening unfolds as it was woven, without the possibility of further influence

For the Alphar it is in reality only the necessary running out of the radiations woven by them in the already completed work of the material happening

In the density of the happening they themselves are not tempted to observe what it brings, for at that moment their work is already finished

The imprint into matter is the manifestation of all that went before

For these wise weavers it is as when a man walking over a covering of snow makes tracks with his steps

The pressure of their activity brings into the human world the imprint of exactly appointed tracks which in the highest wisdom are to enter this world, so that thereby something of his earlier wandering through the work of Subsequent Creation may return to man

However much this is often so very important for earthly man in its force and in the drama with which it influences his further earthly path, it is perceived by these weavers of radiation only as the lingering manifestation of something which even before that was for them, on the plane of radiation, desired in its aliveness

They are the representatives of the most admirable, supreme meaning of the concept of “artist” in the work of Creation

It is possible to call them artists, for the concept of art in its true meaning is something which through the weaving of the threads in the work of Creation is led to a masterly fulfilling of the Will of God

This holds good of course for human creating too, for the summit of a human work is to be beauty, and true beauty is always a part of the overall harmony of the work of Creation, which in other words we may indeed also call the manifesting of the Will of God in Creation

The weavers of the threads of men's fate are therefore in this respect truly working with the highest mastery, and man may rely on their result in so far as nothing has come to him other than a perfectly just fulfilment

This holds good in the case of all happenings which concern the animistic kind

Here belongs everything that is co-formed by the animistic weaving, as for example what belongs to the happenings of nature, such as the manifestations of the elements, the manifestations of illnesses or, on the contrary, of healing, and also everything that is bound up with the creatures of nature, that is, with plants and animals and with many further creatures which people do not even rightly know as yet, for there belongs also all that is unconsciously animistic

These are therefore all the manifestations of that animistic kind which stands in close connection with the woven radiation that in some way concerns the fate of earthly man

It reaches into the world of men at every single moment, and yet this work of the Alphar active in all of it is so little known to people here on Earth

People do not see in it the wise work in which the Alphar act as servants of the Just Wisdom of God

Although in a deeper recognition of their work they should receive high esteem on the part of men, we nowhere see today that this so precious weaving of the threads of fate is rightly received by men and sufficiently prized

People should give very ardent thanks for all of it

For through all of it the human spirit, in right understanding, can at every moment only loosen himself from the threads of his past direction, can learn much from it for himself and use it for great progress upward towards the Light

Therefore people should learn to give quiet thanks to all the weavers, whether the Vaenen or the Alphar, as to helpers who make it possible for them to ripen and thereby to draw nearer with every day to the spiritual home

The weavers of the threads of fate are for the human spirit faithful helpers on his path through Subsequent Creation, who accompany him to the very highest boundary of this part of the work of Subsequent Creation

In their hands the radiations of the finest shades are intertwined, and they join them, weave them and lead them into human destinies exactly so that out of it there may one day become the earthly path of life not of one alone, but often of many people at once

Many a time, with the highest care, threads are spun which influence the inhabitants of the whole Earth, so that in the manifestation of one single happening they at the same time bring a happening of a purely personal kind to whole millions of people in the same moment

And yet even then there is always contained in it, for every single human being, exactly that justice which he is to experience in it

But people do not recognise it, although it works around them unceasingly in the very closest nearness

It shapes the happenings of whole continents, countries and nations, and at the same time it enters with complete exactness into the nearness of individual people just as they prepared it for themselves by their earlier volition

It weaves therefore the greatest and at the same time the smallest happenings which manifest themselves each day into this life, which by all of it is driven forward by the power of the Light towards its further development

Nor is there ever in it a halt, or even a slackening, which would allow anything other than the lasting and patient guiding of all the threads of fate for every creature

Let us only reflect rightly

Every day we are set within it, for example in the work of the elements which we have grown accustomed to call the weather

Although until recent times the people of that day called this working in the elements above our heads a manifestation of the Will of God, today in the intellectualism and the scientific spirit of men it is called by the lifeless conventional designation of atmospheric phenomena

Atmospheric phenomenon, or weather, are concepts without life

They are dead forms created by the thinking of intellectual people

It would be right if people called it the work of God's servants, or else, for example, otherwise: the creating of the life-beings

Although most people today see in it nothing more than physical manifestations, yet he who is alive in his spirit and who wishes to occupy himself more earnestly with all the connections can behold in it many phenomena which lead right down to individual people in their threads of fate

Precisely the weaving of the elements in the weather, or the shining of the Sun of Apollo, the strength of the radiation of the disc of the moon and the position of the stars in the sky, all this reaches through the threads into the events of men

Here we may observe how under all circumstances the destinies of people can outwardly be joined in a similar experiencing of some event, and yet in the outcome it brings something entirely different for every single human being

For one there is blessing contained in it, for another on the contrary ruin and perishing

The same outward happenings, holding good for all, bring pain to some and joy to others

Yet at the same time all should rightly recognise in it only an inner liberation and an uplifting of themselves, for if they recognise in it the Will of God and accept it with an inner pure equanimity, then in all of it they may ripen and advance further, unlike those who by their wrong attunement only entangle themselves the more in the further threads unfolding from it, threads arisen out of their ill volition

So it is also in the case of illnesses and of all the other happenings which in the most varied ways reach into the lives of men

People do not see it, although it is here

They therefore always need someone who would explain it to them and show it directly before their own eyes

But the time is not yet here for people to receive among them such a seer, who would show them with patience how precisely their own attitude shapes their further paths, which must then of necessity lead through all the experiencing that arises from it for them

The so greatly needed World Teacher is not here, who would show men again and again how wonderfully all this is interconnected and how it reaches beyond individual lives, including the places in the beyond from which people return again to Earth in order to lay aside here what cannot be lived out anywhere else than by the experiencing of this or that happening in a gross material body

It is the heaviest reciprocal effect that has now come upon mankind as a whole, for through whole millennia people received on their path from the Light precious helpers and envoys who made clear to them much of what they themselves did not see, so that it might become more understandable for the gradual human finding of the way to the Light

But because these helpers and envoys were never sufficiently listened to by men, precisely in this time of the greatest need of the human race there is here no Envoy of the Light who could easily make everything clear and also set forth the connections about life which slip through people's fingers

There are here only pupils of the World Teacher, but even of these the majority are asleep

Yet everything needful for the rescue of many is contained in its basic wholeness already in the Message of the Truth brought from the heights of the Grail

In this Message everything needful for the ascent of men is described in its basic outlook

Yet many people, even with this Message from the Grail in hand, do not wish to see things as they really are, although they could see it and, in the urgency of the time, ought already to see it

They should be more alive in their perceiving of the happenings which take place in the animistic creative workshop all around them

But this still does not come to pass

Therefore everything is so troublesome for everyone in many questions, although it could be far easier than it is today

But let us return to the mentioned happenings which a man's own threads of fate bring to him

The manifestation of the threads of fate in the material world on Earth is always only the necessary result of the great Law of Movement, which we may also call the driving force of the running out of the threads of fate under the effect of the other Laws of Creation

Although it does call forth inner pain and the compassion of the people around, it is all the necessary consequence of the previous sowing of the spiritual volition of a man who at some earlier time bore himself wrongly in his volition, and thereby threads were woven for him from it which cannot fall away from him otherwise than through his own reciprocal experiencing

Many a time it is truly hard to see how even the smallest thing, to which people today attach no significance among themselves, is caught by the Vaenen and at once woven into a connecting stream of radiation which becomes a part of the further path of the human spirit in the work of Subsequent Creation

It may be a word, a deed, or even only an indifferent attitude in thoughts towards something that takes place in a man's surroundings

It always necessarily shows a state of inward lukewarmness or of unwatchfulness in intuitive perceiving, if people are not able to manifest a mature, inwardly receptive approach to some outward happening in the place where, through the guidance of the threads of fate and also through their own volition and thereby their own doing, they find themselves

Standing in the place where they just are, they can at once begin their ascent higher, if only they truly will it

The ascent lies first of all in the attitude of a man's inner volition

If this attitude is ardent and alive, then much that is new will surely begin to happen in a man's life

Gradually there will come into their path a wealth of experiences, and if they rightly recognise these and use them as opportunities for the recognition of the great whole of the work of Creation, then at once their walking will be freer and more unencumbered, however much the outward conditions may not change at once as they would wish

But gradually it will surely come, it must come, if the spirit goes through life with open eyes and carries within himself the will to recognise how a genuine harmony, lived through a noble approach of man to other people, is to manifest itself

Out of all experiencing people can draw an inner attitude towards other people and towards all other creatures

For that indeed is why they are on this Earth, for nothing else, however much they suppose that they are here precisely for those side matters which they hold to be important for the time of their existence on Earth

By seeking their happiness chiefly in earthly pleasure-seeking and in outward things, people remove themselves from the real reason for which they came to Earth

They remove themselves from the understanding of their true path, which is to lead to the ennobling of their human spirit to such a degree that he will no longer need to return to Earth for the further laying aside of previous faults and transgressions arising from the unwatchfulness of the inner intuitive experiencing in life

Solely and only for this reason are there set into their path those further experiences which then by their weight and their pain call forth in them and in others a laceration brought about by the manifestations of happenings which come to them and which, in their narrowed understanding, seem to bear not a particle of God's grace in the manifestations fulfilled over men, when a heavy returning experience descends upon them

Although it then appears heavy, painful and dreadful, it is always only a fulfilment from the hands of the weavers of a man's threads of fate

They themselves, however, take not the slightest part in any satisfaction at it, although in many a case they could surely say that a man has this for such and such a thing which he formerly caused his fellow men

The exalted animistic weavers, both the Vaenen and the Alphar, always and under all circumstances stand above it, and weave only what is given them to weave in the interplay of the threads under the power of the Justice of the Will of God

Perhaps one day people will learn to observe rightly in all of it and also to find the Justice of God, which is inseparable from the Love of God

If people once begin to seek rightly in it, they will swiftly learn that the effects of the Laws of God can never be taken out of their course, which is very like the physical and chemical laws that people indeed know very well

Nowhere is there a difference in this great weaving of the Laws

Only, people strove to take their own will out of it and to name it according to their conceptions

They suppose that on the finer plane of their inner motives these Laws take no part, and consequently that these same Laws of Creation do not concern their human volition

Yet the reality is quite different and far more direct, and therefore hard to grasp in the human perceiving of today

Everything is subject to the Laws of Creation, which work on all the planes of the worlds

The human will is given over to these Laws exactly as is everything we see in the outward gross material physical and chemical manifestations of matter

Only, everything at its beginning is finer and more inward

And also more alive, if we speak of the possibility of change, whether in an upward or a downward direction

Through the deciding of their inward volition people intervene in it and work therein with a lastingly living influence which can change all that exists

In the outcome, however, it comes in the end woven into the threads of fate to man exactly as does everything we are permitted to observe around us in the world of matter

The connection with the threads of the radiation of his volition is a happening inseparable from man, a happening which fulfils itself unceasingly everywhere in Creation

Everything is woven on planes which the earthly intellect does not perceive, and that is also the reason why many people, to their own harm and often throughout their whole life, strive to deny it

This world is not separated, but is more than people suspect connected with the planes of the beyond

In them there are also formed out of the threads the places which wait to be lived out upon the arriving soul, either there, or so that in grace something of it may be woven for experiencing already here in the earthly existence of man

The radiation of the threads stretches through the spheres and in its aliveness continually makes it possible that, with the becoming luminous of a man's inner being, much of his past may be formed into a symbolic manifestation for living out

For a long time it circles, and throughout all that time it makes it possible for man to change much in it towards a better, more translucent glow, in that he himself becomes on his path more receptive to those things which he has hitherto mocked and called effeminate weaknesses unfit for this world

Yet these effeminacies and weaknesses seen in his eyes are in reality such precious manifestations of his intuitively perceiving inner being, which so often longs to show kindliness and compassion towards other people

He may reject it his whole life long and hold his attitude in mockery of all who occupy themselves with it in earnest, but then he must not wonder when it suddenly breaks loose above him, to speak to his inner being in a way that shakes all his hitherto superficiality and dullness

Then it will finally pass over into gross matter itself, formed for him as well, so that it may manifest as a happening which can no longer be rejected or perhaps denied, because it is a reality on the gross material plane in the life of man

Man can neither flee from it nor hide from it

The experiencing will come in every respect

That a happening of a finer kind always precedes it, this people do not admit

Nevertheless it takes place unceasingly and with an unbelievable consistency before which the human intellect must come to a halt, for it does not see all that is finer and is present first around man as the preparing of the threads for their manifestation in material happening

For the hands of the weavers it is therefore already the complete conclusion of all the interpenetrating radiations which wait for man in the material earthly world in the form of an experience approaching him

The time in which the spirit of man could still change something in it at the last moment is then already exhausted, and the radiation itself becomes material reality, in order in an unstoppable manifestation to discharge itself around man and within man

As soon as these manifestations of the woven radiation pour over into material manifestation, they can no longer easily be halted, or at least changed in their manifestation

The powers which would be able to influence the impact of the woven radiation upon man would have to come from the highest planes of the work of Creation as a command from the Grail, or from a still greater height, from the Divine, whose power of fulfilment stands above all

Only a direct connection with the Light coming from the heights of the Grail could perhaps still at the last moment bring protection against the effect of the return of all the earlier human errings

But the connection with the Grail is entirely lacking to the people of today's world

There is not enough of the pure, ardent connection which in its exceptional living radiation of the nearness of God would protect man from all his returning threads which must now come back to him

Much, very much has been let slip in this

Many moments which could have had the worth of that highest, rescuing connection of the spirit with the Light were cheaply exchanged by men for a receptivity only for superficial values contained and used up in worthless moments of earthly amusements which harm both spirit and body

But this is not to be taken as an admonition nor as a warning, for something of that kind has long since had no awakening effect upon human ears

It is to be only an objective description of the happenings which will now come, because in the effects of the Laws of Creation they must come to the greatest part of humanity on Earth

People know the saying: “It is too late to lock the stable door once the horse has been stolen!”

And this saying captures with exact aptness the great happening of the flowing manifestation of the threads woven at first only in the invisible section of Creation, in which there was first gathered for man, in the finer planes of the materialities, everything needful for his experiencing on his path through life

“Nothing comes of itself”

These too are the words of wise people of earlier times, who rightly observed in it that nothing of human working in Creation is lost, but that everything in the end returns to man in an exactly appointed kind of experiencing

Ignorance in this is only the unwatchfulness of the human spirit, who can easily perceive it all in intimation, provided of course that he wishes to perceive it

Ignorance, or the rejection of this kind of receptivity, may from the spiritual view of human existence be called an unwatchfulness of the inner being

Those well-known “mills of God” do indeed work above every human spirit

That we as men have become dulled in our receptivity for all that is finer costs us much, very much, for it necessarily brings the harvest of the fruit arising from groping in the unwatchfulness of the spirit

Yet people also know it and are aware that earthly unwatchfulness, that is, inattention in some matter, at once opens a course of events which then unfolds further independently of the will of man

It concerns indeed purely material happenings as well, such as attention and watchfulness in any material work, for example in driving a motor car or any other machine

A moment of inattention is often the reason for the beginning of the unfolding of necessary consequences, which flow at once within the iron courses of the Laws of Creation, or of the physical laws, as people in their own way still designate them today

Yet all this is the outcome of the weaving, first of all the fine threads which precede everything that surrounds man

Thus that moment of inattention too is a part of the woven threads

Only, people do not wish to see it, for they refuse to acknowledge their own share in their fate

Therefore questions are often raised as to how it is that someone was in this or that place at that very moment, or how it is possible that one comes off more lightly from an entirely identical event, while another is badly struck and thereby endangered in his health, or perhaps even in the further duration of his life here on Earth

But every happening is always preceded by much weaving of threads which never contain even a particle of chance, as people would like to view it

There is no evil and no good chance in human existence

There are only the returning consequences of past volitions

There is only one great weaving of all the threads which penetrate into human fate and, among other things, enter as an outcome into the unfolding of man's earthly life itself

Among other things, because beside the threads woven for the happening in the earthly world there are also here threads for man's further ethereal, animistic and above all spiritual development

In the work of Creation nothing is one-sided

However much earthly people view their existence in its success and in its misfortune as a rule only according to the events that happen to them on the gross material plane, there are at the same time also many threads and happenings concerning the finer planes which in reality are for the human spirit in his development on the path to the Light not seldom many times more important and significant than the earthly events themselves

It is also needful to grasp that everywhere where the threads of experiencing demand the participation of people instead of the animistic, there enters into the fulfilment one further important quantity – the free will of men

And that is often a great pitfall, for the fulfilment of the threads of the Alphar lies in bringing people together, but it can no longer influence how people will use this great opportunity of being permitted to meet here on Earth, whether for a longer time or only for a few moments

That always remains in the hands of their present attunement

They are brought together for the experiencing and also for the living out of many threads from the past, but often through their present attunement, which is not pure, noble and striving for higher values, they bring about only the tying on of new threads which will again one day have to be lived out

Unless at least one of those concerned, in his inner progress, were to forgive everything that came to pass in the experiencing and that was of necessity woven into the threads of fate of all concerned, in which case much of it could be released and the threads could fall away in great part or perhaps even entirely

Therefore forgiveness is so important a deed among people on Earth

Yet this forgiveness must be fully experienced in all its connections, so that not even a shadow of anger or of bitterness remains a part of the threads

In that alone then lies the liberation for human spirits who are brought together and in their shared time cause one another pains and wounds of the soul which mark them for a long time

The previous threads brought them together in just guidance, but it rests with them alone whether they will use this bringing together for blessing, or only for the tying on of new burdening threads of fate

So much there is among people to be balanced out, and yet many in ignorance or in comfortableness do not wish to change anything in it

But very soon all the threads bearing within themselves the whole destinies of men will be given over to a movement which will bring an acceleration demanding a strong decision for the Light

Otherwise the spirit continuing further in his sleep will be borne by the forces of Creation onward to places from which it is no longer possible to rouse oneself to the making good of all faults and thereby to the laying aside of all the threads binding the spirit to this work of Subsequent Creation

Such a spirit will no longer be able to receive for himself the powers which would enable him still to balance out and to repay everything, so that he might climb upward to the spiritual home, as should already have been the case had he walked upon the right steps of his development

The basic radiation which the hands of the Vaenen now follow and which the Alphar thereafter weave further is divided into two directions

These are the watchfulness of the spirit and the sloth of the spirit

The possibility of attaching the radiation of spiritual watchfulness now works quite differently for the weaving of all the threads returning to man, and adds a portion of liberating radiation

Spiritual sloth, on the contrary, attaches to everything an added weight of the heavy effect of all the other returning happenings

People need only reflect more upon it, and then they will at once grasp how the Judgment of God, so well known to them, will also work over the Earth and above all over the human spirit dwelling on this Earth

For the weaving of the weavers everything is now divided by the stroke of the judging sword

On the one side it weaves to the threads, as a helping glow, everything luminous for those people who are inwardly alive and watchful in spirit

And beside this there rolls down the radiation which is added to the experiencing everywhere where the Judge beholds a lasting spiritual sleep, that is, sloth towards all the inner intuitive perceiving of man

If you govern yourselves rightly by this, you will surely soon recognise how it begins to enter ever more strongly into the lives of all people on Earth

In order that a man may perceive it and recognise it rightly, he needs however to have already quickened within himself a certain degree of inner receptivity for these happenings

This again is connected with spiritual watchfulness

Inwardly sleeping and slothful people will therefore see nothing of it, even if it stood in their closest nearness

In this already lies that sorting of those people for whom in the end a new Life on this Earth will be prepared by God

The guide to it is that inner spiritual aliveness and watchfulness in intuitive perceiving

Everything else already runs along courses guided by forces many times higher than those which rest in human capacities

Become therefore inwardly alive and rightly observing in this present age

Automatically it will bring you peacefulness and peace where other people will be seized by uncertainty, by fear and by horror

In the outcome, however, for those who are beheld by God as alive and thus as guests dear to him in his work of Creation, only liberation and help draw near in all the coming happening

Such is the all-wise weaving in the threads which now touches every one of these people

If a man awakens within, in his spirit, then in that moment there are set for him paths which will lead him surely and safely upward towards the Light

But if he lets slip the time appointed for this in himself, then his spirit will surely suffer harm

Let therefore an earnest call fly out to all people

“Arise, all you who wish to be saved, awaken at last within your inner being!”
