Trust in the All-wisdom of God

For trust in the All-Wisdom of God to awaken in men, the majority of them today lack absolutely everything

There is lacking the simple purity conditioned by childlikeness in man, and further there is lacking the living mobility, filled with alertness, in the inward intuitive perceiving

Above all there is also lacking an understanding of what it means when the concept of the All-Wisdom of God is uttered

Men lack the kind of experiencing which would lead them to occupy themselves at all with such a thing as God and the All-Wisdom of God proceeding from His Primordial Eternal Will

Hitherto there was no willingness for it, and thereby no room was formed for it in human thinking either

But all this will quickly change in the coming time

It will change so unexpectedly that it will even become a surprise for those very people who today would still wave such a thing aside with a mocking smile

A great happening is drawing near to the Earth, which in a short time will shake in the world of men everything that can be imagined

Therefore it is already today high time to speak to those who still wish to listen of how urgently necessary it is to learn to trust the All-Wisdom of God

In this All-Wisdom there is contained for man everything he needs in order that he may feel himself, in his inner being, under a protection which does not fail and which is always near him

The All-Wisdom of God has set paths for all life which vibrates in the Harmony of the work of Creation

These paths always lead upwards, for through the All-Wisdom the ideal of the ascent of the spirit is woven into them, no matter in which place in the Subsequent Creation he may find himself

Into the threads of which this path is formed there is woven a just severity and also mercy for the atoning and the laying aside of all the earlier faults and transgressions of the human spirit wandering between earthly incarnations and the planes of the ethereal worlds

If therefore a man flows with his volition into accord with the Harmony of the work of Creation, he can be led onward continually and safely along the paths of the All-Wisdom of God

Such a thing may be called a high degree of true spiritual life on Earth

But precisely today this degree of spiritual life is entirely remote from mankind, indeed it may be said that men have withdrawn far from it and, alas, with every new day still withdraw from it ever further

This then shows itself in an inner unrest, in an unfulfilment which grows and strengthens to the degree of an inner disruption of the man

Outwardly such a person then lives by his daily duties and cares, by which he is surrounded and held fast by the visible world

Inwardly, however, he is uprooted and constantly suffers in the lack of true peace and quiet, which are always the sign of the vibration of the spiritual inner being in the Light

Thus the majority of men live the greatest part of their earthly existence

Often this state even fills their whole life from childhood to the earthly end, that is, until death

They appear earthly mobile, but all this happens without an inward spiritual development, which requires that one stand alertly conscious also in purely earthly experiences

If the awareness of spiritual existence is not fulfilled, then the spirit is not the leader but is separated from any real participation in life

Many people regard as spiritual work the so-called educating of oneself in the most varied fields of human activity

There is no greater delusion than this supposition

Education is a part of the earthly world, and its greatest part will also remain together with the body in matter

Thereby men fit themselves into a cycle which stands in complete opposition to spiritual mobility

Inwardly hounded, they press forward after the phantoms of a supposed fulfilment which can never come about if the spirit is not at the same time connected with the paths of the All-Wisdom of God

The All-Wisdom of God would lead them along quite other paths, which would gradually lead ever more towards an inner contentment and also towards a peacefulness which can spring only from trust in the higher guidance of man that comes through intuitive perceiving

True contentment can never come from without

It will never come about if this contentment does not spring from the experiencing of a man's inner being

And this cannot happen otherwise than by the spiritual inner being opening itself entirely to the guidance of the All-Wisdom of God

The inward peaceful calm of a spiritual person must also in no case be confused with a spiritual faintness which manifests itself outwardly in a lukewarm indifference on all planes of life

Outwardly, or perhaps also in his soul, such a person, who has a motionless spirit within himself, may then appear calm, approaching life conciliatingly, or perhaps even with an understanding patience towards the world around him

This, however, is only an outward appearance which can mislead to such an extent that it leads to the supposition that in the case of a calm and conciliating bearing one has to do with a good-natured and thereby socially valuable person

In reality it may on the contrary be a sign of a spiritual decline tending towards immobility, in which the spiritual spark radiates so weakly that it has no strength for the seeking of high spiritual knowledge about life

Just as little has it the strength within itself to do anything evil

Anything that would require the exertion of one's own judgment and decision means for such a lukewarm spiritual spark too much movement, which wearies such people in advance in their independent intuitive perceiving, and therefore they always prefer conciliatingly to adapt themselves to outward conditions, only so as not to have more trouble themselves and not to have to exert themselves to stand on the side of the noble goals of the Light

These people are always in some way influenced from without, often they are even dragged along by the surrounding social events and by the regimes that arise, without at least inwardly resisting it

In the longing to have peace they adapt themselves to outward conditions in order to survive, and many of them suppose that this is the best way to live on Earth

Never has the thought arisen in them of what they themselves can do so that the world may become such a place in which a livingly manifesting alert intuitive perception and conscience will have greater preponderance, from which alone a lasting good and peace can arise

Of such people it can be said unequivocally that they are not led by the All-Wisdom of God

A seeming outward good nature in a man therefore does not yet automatically mean an inner peace, which is the sign of a spirit livingly perceiving through intuition

Often, on the contrary, the outward conciliating calmness of many people is in reality only a sign of the lazy lukewarmness of their spirit

Between the inner peace of a living spirit and the good-natured calm of lazy lukewarmness there prevails an immensely great difference

A living spirit must sharply reject much of what happens on this Earth today, whereas the so-called “good-natured person” excuses his conciliating attitude with the conscious delusion that those who lead other men, that is, who direct politics and trade, surely know better, and therefore do what they do

An inwardly living spirit examines everything in natural alertness and occupies himself with what his intuition tells him, whereas an inwardly lukewarm person seeks excuses even for the entirely evident working of men against the Laws of Creation

This testifies to the fact that lukewarm people, despite their seeming social good-heartedness, have a share in much harmful development only so that they themselves may have peace for their life

They are co-creators of many horrors which finally, out of the lukewarmness of the majority, come also into the visible forms of this gross material world

This, however, these inwardly lukewarm people never admit to themselves

They have no strength within themselves for the seeking of anything higher and more luminous than the materialistic perceiving of the world, to which for the sake of peace they adapt themselves

Of such people there are whole hosts here on Earth and in the beyond

Because they have a motionless spiritual spark within their inner being, they are now dragged through the Subsequent Creation, and the Alphar weave for them the threads of fate as far as those places where nothing awaits them but the hearing of the sharp word “Too late!” for all further existence

They are of necessity drawn by the homogeneity in which superficiality and indifference to everything higher lies

They are exactly those people who will always choose the easier way through life, for even though they do not agree with something, they will always remain adherents of the majority direction of the moment

If the crowd shouts “Hosanna!”, they will shout “Hosanna!”, and if a day later it is better for them to cry “Crucify!”, then they will shout “Crucify!”

Such, however, are never made fit to be led by the All-Wisdom of God, for it always demands of the human spirit the highest movement and alertness

It is exactly the opposite of what these people consider ideal for themselves, whose aim is as far as possible to avoid any responsibility of their own conscience in deciding

Yet solely through mobility in the inner being can the homogeneous link be formed for the guidance from the Light which helps the human spirit upon his path to ascent

This, however, sharply excludes the outward world if this flows only for its own comfort, where the paths for everything have already been set by someone else

We may look around us and we shall quickly discover how many such people there are on Earth

They are all those who are adherents of the most varied movements, thereby becoming only perpetually nodding followers of this or that mental leadership from others, without the courageous longing for an independent knowledge of God's work of Creation being at last born in them

Independence is painfully lacking in men upon this Earth

It is lacking even where people are convinced of themselves that this is not at all so and that they surely always act only for themselves

This state of conviction can, however, hold good only because of today's very low degree of human understanding of the concepts of independence and responsibility

Whoever is convinced of his own independence, and as a rule all are such, can easily make a small test here for himself

In order to be able to carry out the test, however, he first needs to lay aside all that daily surrounds him and influences him in his mental view of things

That is, to lay aside the influence of all the opinions of other people

For this test he also needs, if only for a short time, to set aside all books and texts, all reports and instructions from which he has hitherto drawn support for his attitudes and his conduct

This alone is for the majority not at all something simple

But if it succeeds, then those who wish to undergo the test have at once the possibility of approaching everything that comes into their path entirely independently, for themselves alone, and not according to what someone has told them about it or what they have read somewhere

Attitudes and decisions are at that moment to be guided exclusively by the intuitive perception of the man

Only through inner perceiving and the independent deciding formed out of it according to the voice of conscience is a man then really such as he truly is in himself

Many a one will thus very quickly discover how much exertion lies in it if his attitudes are to be decided purely by intuition alone, and not by his arranging himself, as he has learned, according to how this or that is generally done in the matter concerned

To act according to what the inner being says at the given moment, and not according to written precepts or heard advice, is the test of the true worth of a man

To be guided by outward opinions tells little about a man, about what he really is, for by that it is for the most part only the intellect which guides itself, with its self-seeking cunning, in order to arrange itself according to the surrounding world

Few realise that they decide predominantly only according to adopted experiences and also according to their outward surroundings, in order to be “on good terms” with them, whatever this outward world may be, and not because this is a manifestation of harmony, but so that they themselves may have less exertion in maintaining their way of life

Yet already in the ethereal world of the soul all this falls away from him and he remains only himself, with his inward impulses such as really live in him and move his inner being

It will quickly show itself whether he has within him a sufficient inner will towards the Light with all that belongs to it

That is, a will in which there blazes a living enthusiasm for the full-valued experiencing of every moment of existence, in which the human spirit experiences in childlike purity the recognition of the Will of the Creator, rejoicing in the glory of the work of Creation

This experiencing is the only right one, and it was also always meant to be a part of men's earthly life

Only in this kind of inner attunement lies the full use of the time of earthly life for the spiritual development of man

Everything else is a squandering of the so precious time which is granted to man here on Earth by the Grace of God

Deep in their inner being many people also feel subconsciously that their life loses its meaning if they live in the manner which is today so strongly ingrained, namely that they live only in order to provide for themselves as well as possible in the outward world according to social circumstances

The All-Wisdom of God leads man to an entirely different manner of life

It grants him at every moment a full connection with all the parts of the work of Creation

This is possible only through movement in the intuitive perceiving, through the voice of conscience

The Son of God Jesus expressed it precisely when He pointed out that men do not live in order to live easily, but in order to learn to experience everything fully with their inner being

The striving to experience with the inner being brings man ever more strongly closer to the knowledge of the All-Wisdom of God

Although the human spirit is thus incarnated on Earth, he may experience a connection with further parts of the great work of God

In reality men were never meant to lose this mentioned connection with the other parts of the work of Creation

A maintained connection could have preserved in them a lasting trust in the All-Wisdom of God as something which would have been to them a most natural state

Much could already today be evident to men which they will now have to discover with difficulty, for precisely this mentioned trust in the fulfilling of the Will of God is lacking in them

All the experiencing which lies before us will thus, in many people, on the contrary call forth mistrust, which will lead to accusations against God for permitting such a thing

This, however, is only a confirmation of the complete closedness of men towards the understanding of anything spiritual in their life

It is an indictment of the human spirit, who has entirely voluntarily surrendered his liveliness and mobility, which is however most necessary for him if he longs consciously to maintain himself in the work of Creation

From maintaining himself in the work of Creation he is separated by his lukewarmness, into which he let himself be drawn in the depths of the materialities

And because this attitude has become on Earth something which is passed on from generation to generation, the state of mankind is such as we find everywhere around us, namely only a manifestation of the highest closedness towards the All-Wisdom of God

Although it is solely in the All-Wisdom of God that the way out to a new beginning lies, both for the individual human spirit and for the whole earthly world, it remains something entirely outside the interest of present-day men

But as was already mentioned above, the hour of the great change is drawing near

For the majority this change will first bring a great shock, when men become aware how long a time they lived entirely in opposition to the original development on Earth prepared by the Light

For the more receptive people it will be a cause of a painful realisation reaching to the boundary of the plane of their bodily experiencing

The initial shock and the sensing of pressure in the nervous system of the body will, however, gradually pass into a calming, in that together with a revived childlikeness there will awaken in them that so needful trust in God and in the helping Love radiating from Him towards all creatures who genuinely strive to find again their place in the work of Creation

It will be a time of the great transformation of many people who today still surmise nothing of the kind in themselves

A great part of mankind, however, will remain closed in the lukewarmness of the inner being and also under the pressure of the ingrained cramp of the intellect

For them it will be only very hard to find a way out, whether it be here on Earth or in the planes of the ethereal part of the Subsequent Creation

They are threatened with losing themselves upon the path of development in the straying of their hitherto erroneous direction, and their lukewarmness will drive them to the complete loss of spiritual consciousness

And yet there is nothing simpler for the human spirit than that there should come alive in him the fervent longing to know who he really is and what task is appointed for him by the All-Wisdom of God in the glorious work of Creation

This inward longing has within itself an immense power to change everything to something new

That is the true rebirth of which the Son of God Jesus spoke

Every person can attain it, if only he wills
