The Way Out of the Ruins

A great clash of the forces of the Light and of the darkness is being fulfilled above mankind and also within mankind

It will bring many hardships and also ruins, which will come, for men thus far do not will it otherwise

Yet they will be above all ruins of a spiritual kind, which will be fulfilled upon many men

Such a result continually threatens, because men, in their clinging solely to material goals, have lost the path to the spiritual home and have thereby closed their receptivity to all that lies above this ponderous earthly plane

In all their doings the material kind of thinking has gained the upper hand, and this has hollowed out a chasm between this world of earthmen and the other more translucent parts of the work of Creation

Materialism has brought about that gravest painful weakness upon which a great part of men will now be shattered

This wound is the intellectualism of the frontbrain, which in its overstrained development has broken loose from its original bounds and has become a wild beast that has gradually forced its way beyond the limits of the sphere of activity appointed by the Light

Through the striking of the overstrained frontbrain there will arise just those ruins which must come, because thereby the most painful open wound which earthman bears will be touched by the animistic servants

The pressure of the Light will forcibly compel a movement of the core in man, so that the spirit may raise itself again above the intellect

It will not, however, be simple for mankind, for in great part it is weakened in its spiritual receptivity and has quite lost the knowledge of what spiritual striving is

In many cases it will no longer be possible to awaken the spiritual in man out of the deep sleep in which it finds itself

Spiritual striving bears within itself not only the sense for kindness and goodness, but also the capacity clearly to distinguish the pure from the impure, the healthy from the unhealthy, the wise from the unwise

The spiritual means the capacity clearly to recognise the vibrations of the higher, purely spiritual currents of Light descending to the earth out of the heights of Creation

And it is precisely this which in the world of men today is for the greater part almost lost

The spirit, which through its intuitive receptivity was always to stand above the intellect, has gradually been cast out of the ruling place and now no longer holds things in its hands so as to be able to master the rank intellectual activity of the frontbrain

The manner of the life of men upon earth has subjected itself to this and has swung one-sidedly towards material goals

Earthly life is other than it was to be, and men who are more alive within also begin to sense this within their inner being

They perceive that many things they themselves would wish to do otherwise, more ardently, more sincerely, more purely and more out of themselves

Alas, although they perceive that things happen otherwise than they should be and than they themselves will, they do not at the same time have within them sufficient power to set themselves with their inner being against the intellect, which by way of deeply worn ruts for the most part directs mankind today

The beast has broken loose from control, and as it is with every beast that recognises that it can be stronger than its master, this beast becomes rebellious and will at any time attack the hand which seeks to take hold of it again in a firmer grip

Helpless does man appear in this condition

That, however, holds only in the case that he is at all aware of this condition, for the intellect for the greater part no longer even permits him to become aware of the fact that human life is here upon earth to unfold quite otherwise than it does today

Men are not aware that with every day there ever more vanishes that true humanity which is closely bound up with the spiritual expression of man in all the moments of the day

By the majority of mankind it is not at all recognised how with increasing swiftness the purity of volition and a healthy insight recede from earthly life

Together with this purity there vanish the fresh resoluteness, the dignity and the nobility of character which here upon earth in earlier times still here and there found a place among men

It is plunging downward, and each new day only confirms how the intellect with its dominion upon earth is truly the fox that has been set to guard the henhouse

By way of the intellect the principle of the temptation of Lucifer has taken root in mankind more deeply than the spirit is able to withstand, and thus that down-dragging temptation flings itself upon all men with unbridled greed

Alas, for the majority of men it is in the end, in their spiritual sleep, a welcome happening, for it brings even for themselves further ways for the gratifying of the most secret wishes of baseness, shamelessness and filthiness which only the darkness can awaken in men to manifestation upon earth

We can indeed see how the intellect with its erudition is no guarantee whatever of anything purer and wiser, but that its dexterity often lies only in this, that with ingeniously devised cunning it pushes through ever greater contradictions working against trust among men, against healthy intuitive perceiving, against the beneficent shame and modesty belonging to pure humanity

Those who are aware of this shift and strive to do something against it now stand like solitary trees in a felled landscape, withstanding the raging gale of the greater part of society, which calls the spreading decay of morals and virtues progress

It is, however, a progress in the downward direction, which is in reality an ever accelerating fall of all hitherto human values

It even appears as though it were no longer at all possible to halt the complete fall which is unfolding directly before the eyes of men today

All the more receptive, who are still permitted to observe it, are appalled at the outcome, because without a higher intervention it must end in the most dreadful decay of all that is healthy which yet remains in men

Many a one it then leads to desperate endeavours and deeds which yet die away into the void

It seems that here is the time when the heaviest hour of mankind again begins to press upon the earth

But at the very moment when it will be least expected by men, because the intellect will suppose that in its designs it is triumphing over the Light along the whole line, when the beast of the intellect will be acting in the greatest unbridledness in its dominion over the spiritual intuitive perception, then all will suddenly end

Like a blow there will swiftly come the fulfilment of the promise of the Holy Word, that the pure will at the highest hour of need be set free from the morass of the capering fools of the darkness

All this will come precisely through the intensified working of the high animistic servants

These are already here near the earth and are preparing in their blow a raid against the beast and the consequences of its running wild

The beast is to be caught and bound, that it may submit, and where it will not submit, that it may be cast from this earth

What this means for man, almost no one yet rightly divines

It will mean, among other things, the complete unhinging of those men who are no longer able to awaken their spiritual inner being to a sufficient liveliness

By their incapacity to awaken in the spirit they will confirm that they have become in their existence wholly dependent upon the radiation of the intellect of the frontbrain

This radiation, however, will suddenly be struck by a higher kind of Light, and there will come about the burning out of many connections in the nerves of the brain

It will mean that many men will become childish, unable to keep to the matter in hand, furiously irritated and also wholly lost in their life

The sleeping spiritual inner being will not have in them power enough for awakening, and they will end the earthly part of their being in a state of bodily mechanical, spiritless surviving, like easily manipulated lifeless puppets

Where, however, the spirit awakens, there man will be led through experiencing to the gradual recognition of the real values which came and come to him through the grace of God on his path through the Subsequent Creation

To such men experiences will be brought into their path, that in them a consciousness of a higher and nobler kind may swiftly come alive

The still voice in their inner being will call urgently for the finding again of the lost past being which is laid up in every human spiritual spark

The remembering of the beginning of their being will be for these men like the sounding of the echo of an ancient great story resembling the greatness and beauty of a fairy tale

Blessed are they who fight their way through to this experiencing through the hardships which await them as a blessing sent down by God for their rescue

For those who are yet to awaken there is prepared, for the greatest part, much that is hard in experiencing, because only thus can the spark in the inner being blaze up and overcome the hitherto supremacy of the intellect

Graciousness surrounds those to whom this help comes out of the hands of the animistic servants, for without such help the inner being of men would not awaken to the degree that it might be permitted to overcome the wild working of the material intellectual miring in the earthly

For those whom these helping experiences will avoid and whom the happening will seemingly not concern, there grows, however, in the earthly invisible world of the animistic a blow which will in a single moment strike down their faculties into a state in which the intellect breaks loose wholly from their control and at the same time will not be able responsibly to sustain the state of continuance in the body upon this earth

Today this may still appear as something impossible, for intellectualism still manifests itself as firmly ruling the earthly world

But no one considers that the rankness of the intellect, by its ancient first deviation from the wisely appointed boundaries, has already anchored the ground for a reciprocal working which will one day come as the fulfilment of the harvest arisen out of the sowing

And this harvest is brought precisely and only by the animistic servants, who therein faithfully fulfil the promise of Parzival, who by his Word gave thereto into the hands of the animistic the key to its realisation

Thus it draws near, yet no one knows how swiftly, for it will come unexpectedly, as was promised

Mankind thus prepares for itself through its spiritual sleep a condition which in the continuation of spiritual being will in the end bring it ruins

Instead of progress forward and ascent higher towards the Light there will come for many a one, alas, a fall, which will however be only the consistently just fulfilment of the volition of the spirit

What man wills in his thoughts, that will happen to him

Yet not what he wills for himself, but what he wills out of the depth of his heart for the world, for other men, for the animistic in nature and in the universe, and also what he wills for God in his thoughts and wishes

It will come

It will arrive in the reciprocal happening as a just flood-tide according to what relation man has to the work of Creation, to its Creator and also to all the fellow inhabitants of the work of Creation

This will be fulfilled exactly and will then bring either liberation and the becoming luminous, or a darkening and a short circuit in the brain, according to what radiates most strongly in this brain as the firmest anchorage of the thoughts and of the impulses of the soul

And of this happening almost nothing is known today

Men have precisely through their intellectualism closed themselves to all finer perceiving

They have closed within themselves not only the path to the spiritual home, but have also wholly estranged themselves from the animistic world

Thereby, in the gradual estrangement, mankind here upon earth must in the end appear to all the inhabitants in Valhalla as an obstacle and as a hostile front, which the animistic will now, in the blessing of its weapons from Parzival, strike to its knees into the dust and the ruins

And it will be only and solely a happening just in the highest degree, which will come in order to cast human intellectual pride from its throne

No one may therein appeal to the Justice of God, as is already the custom among men whenever something comes to them which they do not expect

Men should also at last know that all which comes to them as the fulfilment of the Laws of Creation comes through the hands of the animistic servants, who work exactly as the executive part of the Will of God in Creation, subject through Parzival at the summit of Creation to Imanuel, who Himself is the living Will of God formed out of God the Father for Creation

The justice therein reaches to the very last particle, for every man always has the opportunity to awaken and in trust in God to call for protection, which will again come to him only through the animistic servants in Creation

That too is the new which will now come for mankind as a necessary recognition which it is to receive

To God man can flee in his call for help only in the purest childlike trust

Another attunement does not even come into question, for only childlike trust in God is the sign of the participation of the spiritual intuitive perception in man

And this intuitive perception in its openness and childlikeness also shows the way to the recognition of all that is animistic

That is a happening which may be called a self-acting happening, because the childlikeness of the human spirit may at once divine and also in part recognise the nearness of the animistic, which the humanly spiritual received from the Creator as a help for its wandering through the whole section of the Subsequent Creation, to which all the degrees of materiality belong

The animistic forms the dome for the radiation of God, which is the work of Creation, and the spiritual is an inhabitant therein, provided that it does not itself exclude itself from this bestowed grace of the Creator “to be permitted to be an inhabitant of the work of Creation”

Thus if the spiritual inner being in man awakens in a call for help to God, then without doubt there also opens in him a receptivity towards the animistic, for the animistic carries out the helps which are sent forth from the Light as an answer to the ardent prayer of man

The animistic is the hand of God, which is creating and helping if man walks the right ways, and at the same time strongly working and destroying if man sets himself against the Laws of Creation

The Laws of Creation, the laws of nature, the laws of physics

What are they at all

Why do men not reflect upon it more

When has man ever taken a more earnest interest in it more deeply, in order to experience and to grasp it

For all these are names for one and the same working, which lies in the work of the servants of God, that is, of the animistic servants, who are the emerging and manifesting forms of one single current which extends like a perfect mechanism fulfilling unstoppably on all the degrees the Will of God contained in the radiated Primordial Light, which gushed forth at the words “Let there be Light” beyond the boundary of the divine sphere

Creation is animistic, and within it the spiritual finds itself on all its degrees of maturity and development

The animistic at the same time bears within itself the connection with the Will of God, out of which it was born and in which it works enduringly

Men therefore necessarily need the animistic in order that they may walk the paths of their maturing surely and rightly

And because the greatest part of mankind upon earth does not know the animistic and has not the least knowledge of it, it also walks through life in many of its decisions in relation to the earthly world wrongly, and therefore harm must arise for it

The power of the reciprocal action will now, in the intensified streaming of the Light, bring men experiences which will lead them to an accelerated recognition of the animistic

But only those who will be willing to open themselves with their inner being

To those who in a pure attunement open themselves and will seek the connection with the working of the animistic servants, to them the walking upward towards the Light will be made easier

It will be so, among other things, because the connection with the animistic kind will bring man the possibility of recognising the happening further in advance, and also because the connection with the animistic servants will make possible the fulfilment of the prayers of men that the happenings of nature might not bring them heavy earthly harm

This will show itself in the future as something great, because therein there will shine visibly the protecting hand resting over such men

But today there is not among men the faintest inkling of it, for the earthly intellect has erased all the earlier connections with the animistic servants and has crowded them out of all the thought-forms among men

At most it has left them only as fairy tales, in which the animistic here and there appears, yet in distorted caricatures as against its real splendour and exaltedness, in which it works for the Will of God on all the degrees of its being

Thus men today are wholly lost in their ignorance of the space in which they find themselves

This ignorance of their being in the work of Creation, in which they deny all that is above the matter of this world, they even call, in the conceit of the intellectual brain, the summit of their earthly development

There is, however, no greater contradiction than the one which is mirrored precisely therein

The materially oriented intellect can do nothing other than be active in the grossest matter

That, however, is only the most distant particle of the sphere of activity of the human spirit in Creation

It may be said that it is the place of an important push-off for the ascent of the spirit

But the spirit, instead of rousing itself here in matter to a mighty upward flight, sinks here ever lower in its miring in materialism

Therefore there will now come great ruins in the whole hitherto edifice of the thought-construction of millions of men

This intellectual construction will collapse overnight, and the materialists will become here in matter, that is, upon their hitherto sovereign ground which they held to be their own property, strangers without a single place of refuge

The animistic servants will again and again compel these men to move further on, until they will have no escape and either submit or fall

This will cause them a short circuit and a seizure of cerebral collapse into complete hopelessness, for together with the fall of materialism there will come the uprooting of all who have become dogmatic believers in the sole existence of matter

Now they will stand face to face with a power which will shatter their hitherto thought-constructions about the world

Everywhere they set foot, the animistic will stand against them with the demand of subordination to the Will of God

This will bring a shock and the ruins of the plans of the whole hitherto conception of the materialists about the further development upon this earth

Many will collapse under the pressure of the new demand, which will in a certain harshness bring man a lasting reminder that he as a creature is, just as is all other life in the work of Creation, subordinate to the Will of God

Many a materialist will at first regard it as a challenge to battle, yet such suppositions of men will swiftly perish, for every endeavour at resistance will be struck down

In the end even those who suppose that they are firmly anchored in matter through their intellect and that they can outwit everything with their twists of cleverness will come into a blind alley, at the end of which they will break down, and either they will yield to a new approach to life or they will be led aside from this earth by the animistic forces, so that they may no longer disturb those who in their awakening will strive for a reborn view of their life

Thus mankind stands, in the fulfilment of the Holy Word through the work of the high animistic servants, before a decision, either a spiritual awakening in the intuitive perception towards a pure and healthy life, or ruins on all the degrees of human being

This demand now stands sternly and clearly above mankind and also within mankind, and brings the clash of the forces of the Light and of the darkness

In spite of all the mighty and inexorable happening, there is however always here an outstretched hand which at once brings the vista of the transformation of the ruins into a building up

Whoever awakens in his inner being and through the quickening of his intuitive perceiving will always strive to master his intellect, that this may serve only the good purposes of a pure volition, he can even at the last change his vista of the approaching ruins into a new direction which forms itself before everyone who steps forward with a renewed childlike trust in God

And also with the recognition that the surroundings of man are guided and fulfilled by the hands of the animistic servants, who are the realisers of the Will of God in Creation

Thus this earnest time upon earth brings at the same time a prospect for the opponents of the Light just as it brings a way out for all who in their quickened pure humanity voluntarily insert themselves into the Will of God

At any time man can still, in the rousing of all his powers, raise himself upward and, instead of the ruins which awaited him, attain the starting point of his ascent

Yet the forces draw unstoppably nearer to one another, and very soon the sorting will have to begin which will in the end determine with unchangeableness the direction of the threads which will lead the resisting materialists along just courses to the degree at which many will be overtaken by the derangement of the intellect out of the shattering of their hitherto conceptions of the world

It rests with man alone whether in the present development he will be heading towards the ruins of his being, or whether he will awaken inwardly and free the way for his spirit, that this may incline itself more and ever more distinctly in its intuitive perceiving towards the Light and towards good instead of towards the darkness and baseness

The prospect of the events is now evident for all knowing men

Now is that time when with all his power man needs to fight his way through to the becoming luminous within and also outwardly

Only therein lies the protection, that the brain may with the help of the spirit be retuned to the new vibrations which the approaching Light demands as the foundation of the new age upon earth

Whoever therein shows an earnest and sincere endeavour, for him much will also be made easier on the part of the animistic servants
