Over every one of the men on Earth the threads of fate are at this time drawn taut with unprecedented force
To each one there flies at the present time, along these threads, the happening which is to be fulfilled for the closing of one chapter in the development of mankind
Yes, it is precisely those threads woven out of the impulses of the intuitive vibration, which are formed first into invisibly quivering wishes and longings, then condensed into thoughts and words, from there nourished and strengthened ever more and more, until at last in many cases they roll over into outward earthly action
Under the power of the Light there returns to the individual man all that was laid by himself into the gearwheels of the great Laws of Creation
Hitherto these threads made it possible, in divine loving-kindness, through the wisely ordered effects of the Laws, that their living-out returned only at the time when the spirit and also the very soul cloak of man, joined with the spirit upon his path to maturity in Subsequent Creation, could move further on in time and therefore meet again in experience with the fruits originating from an earlier past
Out of this there were then formed the conditions of the fates of life at birth, in which men were permitted gradually to experience, in a happening supremely just, the consequences of their own deeds by means of their slow fulfilment
Slow because everything was brought as a happening for which the inner being of man was always to have time enough to ripen and thereby to prepare itself for the return of the threads of fate out of its own past existence
Had the spirit advanced higher, as was foreseen out of the Light from the beginning of the development in Subsequent Creation, then many threads would have returned only as symbolic adjustments of past times of development, when the faults of the soul that arose in immaturity led to a transgressing of the Harmony of the work of Creation
But even had the spirit not advanced, he would have been made ready for it in some way by his spiritual helpers, for out of every return of the threads a new opportunity for ascent was to arise for him
This happening of loving-kind slowness has hitherto always been fulfilled patiently over every man as well as over all mankind, as the expression of the gentle Wisdom of God
Out of every earthly life the soul of man could thus carry away experiences which in every respect offered an advance in the laying aside of the threads of the past
And in the experiencing of the spirit there was always the opportunity to stand firm purely, truthfully and nobly in the way this past was accepted by man and worked through by his spiritual inner being
It happened so even at those times when men from their own view experienced many a happening unexpected for them and hardships in life, when they suffered pain and want, and when it seemed to them therein that the Creator and His angels had entirely forsaken them
Although men often, as they were ever accustomed to do, lamented through whole millennia and cursed their hard fate of life on Earth, yet even in this experiencing of hardships there was hitherto always woven into their threads of fate, together with the Love of God, also that wisdom of God and the patience which looks to their maturity, so that what was experienced could be accepted rightly
With the Love of God there was in it always a protection for the human spirit, that his path, however very hard it not seldom appeared to him himself, could straighten upwards again, so as gradually to lead the human soul to the spiritual home in the luminous heights
The path could lead the spirit upwards through experience only if he truly willed it
If the spirit truly longed for the Light and strove to draw near to God through his own bettering, then a protection of a higher kind was always at hand for him which made possible for him the laying aside of all the burden that lay in his threads of fate
It was, and even today there still endures, precisely that Love of God, ungraspable for the human spirit, which weaves into the threads of his path always exactly that which he needs for his ascent
That in the receptivity of earthly men there was no capacity to recognise this loving-kindness, which hitherto always had its part behind it all with a view to the spiritual goal of the human spirit, was caused solely and only by their closedness towards any reflection at all upon all of this
Otherwise they could see clearly how all the consequences of their immature steps taken in rashness are always carefully made ready by the Alphar for the time when the inner being of man is able to experience the consequences to his own benefit in being taught, if only he will look upon it in this way
However much the subsequent return of past happenings may have been accompanied by pain and suffering, in a right understanding and in the time sufficiently granted for it this could in the end always lead the experiencing man ever more to the knowledge of God and of the effects of His supremely Just Laws
Thereby his wisdom too would grow stronger in the right recognising and the right use of God's plan for his path, which always expresses itself through the wise and at the same time unalterably working Laws of Creation
The Laws of God announce themselves continually through these experiences in the life of man so that he may occupy himself with them and thus draw nearer to that needful fitting of himself into the vibrations of the great harmony of the work of Creation
All men would easily recognise in it that greatness and perfection of the Will of God, to which after all every spirit can draw near in this, that he learns to seek it in everything that comes to him
Men, however, have never earnestly wished, nor even today do they wish, to see that such a thing takes place as the weaving of the threads, which are carefully led to them in a constant and loving-kind streaming and which, precisely in the fulfilment of the Justice of God, return to man always at the exactly appointed time
Such a thing is as remote from acceptance by mankind as all other knowledge of nature and of the universe
In a certain likeness we may say here that in the matter of the most important knowledge, that is, the knowledge of one's own path to happiness in the fullness of being, men appear as those who for a long time refused the knowledge that the Earth is round and that it circles about the Sun
Just as that knowledge of the course of the planets through the space of the universe about the star of Apollo, the Sun, was unthinkable for whole generations of the still recent times of the Middle Ages, exactly so is it unimaginable today for the greatest part of men that the fate with which it is given them to live in this life really exists, and that this fate is the result of their own previous existence, in which through their attitudes and through the volition of their inner being they vibrated either in accord with the harmony of the Will of God or, through wrong dealing towards their surroundings, worked in opposition to this Will of God
The persisting superficiality and inner indolence in this does much harm, which will also soon show itself
The refusing cannot lead further as a continuation of the ruts of thought hitherto established, in which men move
And yet it is still here, and again this limitation shows itself as a great hindrance to the advance of mankind towards the better
Therefore there always was, and even today there still is, so much murmuring and so much opposition, so much angry cursing of fate and much else besides, which only again bears witness to complete ignorance and above all to an obstinate refusal to wish to grasp in it all anything more than what is customary among men as today's general approach to life
There is so much disconnectedness from that which should have been accepted by man in humility, in a right understanding, as the knowledge that he alone and none other is the one who at some earlier time gave the cause for that which comes to him
Otherwise he would surely not have been born upon this Earth into the conditions which await him with all that is contained in them down to the smallest degrees
But precisely this does not suit man in his life, for here on Earth he longs to have everything ideal, that is, as advantageous and as agreeable as possible from his limited view, in which above all there shows itself the notion that everyone has a claim to all the better things that others have
Almost no one wishes to behold the effects of the great Laws of the working Wisdom of God in the diversity of human lives, which shows itself in this, that each one is born into other circumstances and also that each one passes through the same events of society with an entirely different impact upon himself
Sadly the greater part of men do not wish to recognise in it the weaving of the threads of their own past existence, and they hold it either for a manifestation of chance or for an unjustly ordered fate, in which they do not grasp why it is such as it is
Praiseworthy are those exceptions who go through life otherwise, with a greater inner movement which leads them through knowledge to a greater humility and thereby also to the opportunity, conditioned upon it, really to change something in the mesh of their own threads of fate
In the fact that each of us stands in another position and in other conditions of experiencing than others, it is precisely possible to find that splendour and all-embracing greatness of the perfect divine work of Creation, which carefully and quite uniquely guides the paths of every creature in the ordering of fate through the effects of the incorruptible Justice of God
In understanding and in a knowing acceptance by man this should be perceived as earthly circumstances of life ordered through his volition by himself and by no one else
To such a thing as a starting foundation one can come by finding anew the inner powers for ascent through the complete attunement of the pure spiritual inner being of man, made luminous by grateful humility
In the present time it is especially needful, through the becoming luminous of the inner being towards pure volition, to find balance and peacefulness within oneself, and thus in a healthy living to be content with that which is laid upon man's path of life as the experiencing of the threads of fate
And because in this disposition of today's men there endures only an endless discontent with everything that is offered to them in the wisdom of God's ways of loving-kind guidance, under the pressure of the Light that hitherto enduring protection against the impact of all that is to return to man in his threads of fate has now been torn away
The dam between the spirit and the volition once brought forth by him is now, in the time of the culmination of the Judgment of God, taken away, and in the fulfilment of this Judgment it now hastens towards the Earth so as to reach men as a stormy flood wave
The gracious dividing interval between the returning threads is thus now shortened and narrowed into a sharp blow of events returning swiftly one upon another and demanding complete maturity, so that the spirit may master everything in the accepting and the working through of it in such a way that the approaching happening does not call forth in him anger and defiant refusal but only a livingly comprehending acceptance of all the happening that rolls towards him
But who is able to accept this and to experience it rightly without a voice rising up in him that complains of divine injustice and of the wrong done to him by the outer world
Who is inwardly prepared for it, so as to be able in his attunement to send forth a thankful prayer that all of this is sent to him for the expiation of his own threads of the past
One may say that no one is, for in the inner being of every man there slumbers an all too strong will, long nourished by the intellect, of his own notions about the path of life, into which for his own part he admits not even a particle of unexpected events which from his view may thwart his plans for the happy earthly life he expects
Let us but listen rightly
The earthly life is to be determined by man according to his notions and wishes, without regard to what he himself is in his inner being
Such a thing as the conditioning of the prospect of a happier future time upon one's own effort in striving towards a good and pure life, beginning with man himself, is even today for the mankind of this planet a cause for incredulous shaking of the head and for the calling of mocking challenges against fate or even against God Himself
“That is only for children and for naive devotees of the old times, long since surpassed by science and its knowledge, modern people surely do not believe in such a thing, nothing of the kind exists”, so and otherwise sound many an outcry
Yet as soon as even the smallest first hint of hindrances and hardships breaks into his life, many a one is at once offended and his will rebels against accepting it and bowing in the awareness that in everything he will seek a reason for learning the true wisdom of the knowledge of life
So much could thereby be granted him even at the last moment, when something out of past times must come to him so that it may be balanced out
So much could he draw from it in the understanding that precisely therein the unswerving Justice of God prevails, which thereby drew near to him in order to teach him and to lead him to a new fitting of himself into the vibrations of the great harmony of the work of Creation
So much grace could he recognise in it towards his own inner becoming luminous in the acceptance of the great knowledge that upon the path of his development he can be led, if only he lays aside all the all too strong wishes of a lower kind and in complete freedom lets the will to listen to a higher guidance in life come fully forth
Then a guidance of a truly higher kind would gradually come to him, in which above all he would ever more swiftly be released from the threads of all that is past, so that soul and spirit might be liberated and thereby ever more inwardly filled with the flood of the Light
Sadly, however, everything that is established today in human thinking is remote from this kind of connection with the guidance out of the Light, for into everything there reaches all too strongly the earthly, materially influenced kind of volition
This volition is rooted in the intellectual disposition, and therefore almost without exception every man on Earth is touched by it
The greatest part of men are so strongly influenced by it that they can no longer find within themselves that freedom so needful for the connection with the guidance out of the Light
And therefore the present pressure of the Light will also find the greatest part of men unprepared for the receiving of the bridegroom who therein comes in a picture, as was already mentioned in the Words of Jesus
The inflowing of the Light under the effect of the near Ray of Parzival will call forth in the threads of fate of many a man a strong tension which in the greatest part of mankind will lead only to inner rebellion and resistance instead of to understanding and to the awakening of humility and of a conscious acceptance of the necessary happening which must now discharge itself over this Earth, so that all the threads may live themselves out and thereby free the way for the further development in a new kind of maturity of mankind
How very far behind everyone still remains in this, for only the understanding that solely a pure and joyful inner attunement, made luminous by noble kindliness, forms in man that ground upon which even the heaviest returning threads of fate, which demand of him their discharge in experiences, may through the helping guidance of the Alphar be balanced out in the end by a symbolic kind of laying aside of the faults of the past
And yet no one here on Earth is without faults, for everyone walked for a longer or a shorter time upon wrong paths in his development towards maturity
There is therefore much work before everyone in the needful care devoted to his own garden of life
It can and should, however, be a work filled with joy in the conscious accepting of all that comes to man, and above all towards everything that now breaks into his existence as a flood of new happening
Shock upon shock flows towards this Earth under the pressure of the blinding radiance of the Ray of Parzival, because everything that lies in the threads of fate of men is now to come for its living-out
Despite the stars and all the interpretations of their influences given hitherto, it rolls towards men so as to demand loudly its balancing out and its laying aside through experience
Blessed are they who pass through it and keep their hitherto upward path in their own hands
They will be those who are able to expiate much out of their threads in the openness and purity of their spiritual inner being
To them it will be made possible to lay aside much in a short time through symbolic experiences
And only through much being laid aside upon the symbolic plane can man avoid many hard experiences which of themselves would often be enough for one whole earthly life
Whether in want or in sickness, or in the experiencing of meetings with the most varied fellow men who are to be the bearers of a symbolic laying aside of wrongs and of forgiveness, all of this would in peaceful times of the development of the human spirit have been cause for whole long separate lives lived out, as the condition for it, here on Earth in an earthly body
Now the unexpected tautening of the threads under the pressure of the Light demands of everyone that he pass through all of it in vigilant readiness, expiating and laying aside the past without hesitation in a far shorter time
And man may be liberated from it only when he emphatically proves the genuineness of his change towards a better, spiritually more awakened existence
Completely bleached must be that place upon the cloak of the spirit who longs for the thread out of the past to fall away from him as fulfilled and thereby lived out in the right way
But everything comes into great movement, and so if one of the threads has perhaps already been laid aside, two or three further threads already roll on with undiminished force so as to demand, led by the hands of the Alphar, their living-out
Whoever seeks to flee from it, hiding at home from the whole world, will be drawn out of his fortification and will have to stand suddenly bared and thereby unprotected against all the threads which come to him in a single blow
The striving to separate oneself from mankind and the endeavour not to create hard hours for oneself in the necessity of standing firm before the outer world, this striving will be overcome at one blow, and the man concerned will find himself all at once in the midst of all the unexpected experiencing
Therefore he has no cause to try to hide from it, but rather to step out courageously to meet it with open visor and with a free, pure heart, let come what may that still lies in the threads of fate
Only to a spirit filled with trust and inwardly open will helps and strengthening be able to be added, so that he may stand firm in the true life and not merely in the mere surviving of hitherto
The power of the spirit grows only through his work and through the becoming luminous of his will towards the knowledge of the true life and of the lasting need therein to balance out all that forms the harmony among men
That is the true art which is now demanded of the human spirit, that he may prove himself mature and truly prepared to pass through all of it as a helper for his fellow men
Also only out of such an attitude will a blessing be able to be woven which will make it possible for everything, even the heaviest experiences of fate, to be transformed into the possibility of symbolic expiation
All this is contained in the threads which now in unprecedented tension stretch above every man, awaiting the command to strike
And this blow draws near, for the tension can endure no longer
Now it already draws near to a complete discharge over mankind and also over every single man himself
Hence all those calls to readiness from the spiritual and also from the animistic helpers and leaders
The call sounds ever more urgently because the wind already rises before the storm which will bring all of it, as a season appearing all at once in which everything will demand a change for the better from every man and from every creature
The threads roll on and, in the living-out of the past, they demand the transformation of the earthly world towards the better, entirely with all that belongs to it
That is something which still remains incomprehensible, for how everything will be brought and arranged for the experiencing is given to no one to see
Every day it changes and unfolds according to how that which is pure, or dark, in the inner beings of men expresses itself either in vibrations of love, of goodness and of forgiveness, or in a still stronger taking of offence, in hatred and in the volition for the destruction of one's fellow men
Not even the Alphar themselves can behold in it the ends of all the threads, for within those now being lived out the Vaenen are at this very moment already weaving new threads which in a few moments more will draw near so as likewise to demand their living-out
What hitherto lasted hundreds or thousands of years is now made ready to be pressed into months and weeks, indeed towards the close into mere days, hours and minutes
In the hands of man, however, there remains in all of it permanently untouched that helm of free will which will steer his ship through the storm either to a final victory or to a fall
Free will can never be separated from the principle of the weaving of new threads, which under the pressure of the near Light are at once judged and driven back to an immediate experiencing
For such a thing mankind cannot prepare itself in its outward intellectual way
Even though it still now appears as though it were seemingly holding to the course of a certain inertia, the cracks already show themselves which will in the end bring it to an ever swifter fall
No one can be sure of his outward position, of the securities laboriously won which he seeks to strengthen for himself by outward material supports and by agreements with men
All this will be shaken and torn down as no longer effective to stand before the living wave of the Light
Readiness for the coming happening cannot therefore be found in the intellect and in its armouring in the endeavour to provide for oneself in matter against every possible event in the world, but solely and only in an inward pure humility and in the living receptivity of the spirit
In this alone lies that true readiness for all that now comes
It rolls on as a mighty power, it works as a sieve for the sorting, it quickens and awakens all that hitherto seemed to sleep, it strikes already in the finer planes above this earthly realm at everything that opposes the divine harmony, which will be carried through without regard to all human wishes and all protests against it
