The Sowing of the Worlds With the Seeds of Promise and Hope

If earthman knows the effects of the Laws of Creation, then in looking upon the happenings in today's world he need not experience nearly so much bitterness and sense of injustice as is customary with most men

There is no need for him to let himself be shaken again and again in his attunement as he observes the state of the world which surrounds him at the given moment

His gaze is to be directed upwards in trust in the Justice of God, which penetrates everything and brings everything exactly where it belongs, and at that time which is appointed by the All-Wisdom of God

This inner attitude, illumined by knowledge, wholly changes man's experiencing throughout his whole life

Assuredly he is to stand in the present with firm certainty and rightness, with his feet upon the ground, so as always to defend his earthly existence honourably

At the same time, however, he is to bear within him a fully unfolded attunement to the volition of all-embracing good, as a promising starting point for the future time that is to come

If he vibrates in a lastingly pure volition, then he becomes one of those who through their attunement already now help to shape the better world that is to come

The knowledge of the working of God's Laws in their incorruptible manifestation in the greatest and in the smallest happening gives him the strength of conviction to maintain within himself the attunement of all-embracing good

By the simple manner of an inner attunement such a man becomes a co-creator, blessed by the Light, of the future world

Of that world which after some time will attain its earthly visibility

This holds, however, not only for this earth as such, but also for all the parts of Subsequent Creation which the creative effects of the radiation of the human spiritual species reach

Any vibration of the volition for good in man which is able to join itself with the complete Harmony of the work of Creation in the effects of God's Laws immediately takes on forms that attach themselves to places already homogeneous with them, or that form entirely new parts, widening the diversity of the whole

In human hands there lies constantly a gift which men have nevertheless not yet learned to use rightly

They use it neither rightly nor sufficiently for it to be made an instrument of the great building up of a harmonious space blessed by the Creator

This is because they do not know the actual power of their spiritual inner being

The radiation of the human spirit, which penetrates into the worlds of the whole of Subsequent Creation, helps to shape entire sections of the individual planes

What radiates out of the human inner being shares in the shaping of the forms of the ethereal planes of the world parts and of the gross material universes contained within them

Apart from a small number who are truly spiritually enlightened, men so far know almost nothing of how great a creative capacity lies in the radiation of their purely attuned inner being

In a certain sense we help to shape the development in Subsequent Creation

All the finer parts of the materialities, such as ethereal matter, the planes of thought, the astral prototype of gross matter, all this is in part laid into the hands of the free will of the human spirit

The kind and the strength of the volition radiating out of man's inner being enable the Alphar, the animistic weavers, to work the said radiation into the building of the worlds which in a future time will come to visibility in many small and great forms of developing life

The man who is able to grasp all that lies in his kind of spiritual radiation, which shares in the development of Subsequent Creation, can become aware in this of his immense responsibility for everything that issues from his inner being

The strength lies in the art of maintaining the conviction of God's Laws lastingly and without wavering

If man is able to bear the said conviction within him so strongly and so clearly that it withstands the influences of the outer world, then the radiation is multiplied into a creative stream long unrecognised by men on earth, out of which a new and more just world may be formed

He may be a co-creator sharing in the development of a happening which in a certain sense goes beyond his own reach of direct personal influence

However much here on earth many men have in the outward world of society only a seemingly imperceptible influence upon the development of earthly events, which is experienced as a cause for sorrow, since in it men sense injustice, and this above all when the events of society develop otherwise than they wish, they can nevertheless, through the pure radiation of the spirit, work far more significantly than they have hitherto thought

Yet of such a thing the majority know nothing at all, and therefore it is not accorded that necessary earnestness which belongs to it

Men simply know nothing of these happenings that unfold outside the visible gross material world

They do not know it, for none of those close to them spoke to them of it so clearly that it could take on a sufficiently strengthening effect in them

Yet many folk sayings are known which mention that there is here a working of the great Laws of Creation, which brings the reciprocal effect of everything man does

There is after all the mention that whatever a man sows he also reaps, there is the well-known saying which tells that as one calls into the forest, so it echoes back out of the forest, and it would be possible to name yet more such sayings, all of which would always describe the same thing again

Always it is a confirmation that what is brought into life by the volition of man is not lost, but in the Laws of Creation is worked upon so unerringly that with certainty it will one day appear again

Men basically sense this in their inner being, but because until this day it was not recognised how all this works and operates in the threads of the weavers, it was for the most part linked only with the gross material happening itself

The gross material happening in the fulfilment of Justice, however, shows itself in most cases otherwise than it is expected, and therefore it has hitherto awakened in most men predominantly only mistrust that anything such as the Law of Reciprocal Action really holds within it a perfect Justice

This has led many hitherto to disquiet, and finally to a complete mistrust in anything such as the presence of the Will of God in Creation

In the end it awakens the urge that man must after all do something himself, so that the justice he perceives may be fulfilled, and therefore he begins to execute this justice on his own account

Thereby, however, mistakes are very often made which, sadly in many cases, in the effects of God's Laws can again bring only the necessity of further atonement, and this precisely where men instead expect for their conduct a reward as confirmation of the rightness of their acting

But since it is only very seldom that men succeed in bringing their intentions and deeds into unison with the true Justice of God, it comes about only very seldom that in human conduct a confirmation of rightness is shown by the Will of God itself

For anything of the kind most men today lack the maturity, they lack the high degree of spiritual wisdom and, together with it, the capacity of receptivity for the fine weaving of the threads in the right assessment of other men

Therefore blunders occur, even in the very best endeavours of good men

Often even otherwise very receptive men make mistakes if they themselves wish to take justice into their own hands, for they lack the higher knowledge of the development of the ways of human spirits within the whole work of Creation

There is lacking the wider span which would allow them to follow human existence further than merely within one earth life

Thereby there arise many blunders and wholly false conclusions in the conduct of men whenever they are to assess rightly the inner motives of someone else

We meet with an excessive narrowing and superficiality in the understanding of life, which, in connection with the effects of the Laws of Creation, may be called the still enduring, menacing curse of the human race

The curse lies in the insufficient unfolding of a higher knowledge through intuitive perceiving

Intuitive perception, a healthy perceiving in the recognition of oneself and also a fellow-feeling with one's neighbours, is the only way in which men can attain liberation from the consequences of their deeds

To this weakness the Son of God, Jesus, pointed more than once during His work among men on earth

It is after all a well-known happening, when in the course of His wandering men made ready before the gates of a city in their zeal to stone a woman condemned by them for transgressions which they themselves harboured in abundant measure in their own inner beings and thoughts

So it is also in nine cases out of ten, when some men assess the deeds of another

Sadly, here on earth the necessary inner purity is lacking for anyone to be able to judge truly rightly about another man

Therefore the best that can be laid by men into the threads of future development, together with their complete trust in the All-Wisdom of God, is first and foremost always the wish for a pure and good development in everything that happens

And this even when perhaps a man's hands clench into fists in the longing for retribution for something that one of his fellow men has done

The only right way out is the wish that a clarified, enlightened knowledge may come to all those concerned

This wish makes possible the sowing of seeds which bear within them an all-embracing way towards the forming of the conditions for a just attainment of harmony through a heightened tension of the threads of fate of the men concerned

The pure call for the attainment of ascent and of enlightenment here on earth through the recognising of the Will of God is the most precious kind of attunement

What takes place in man's inner being in a pure and ardent wish of such a kind has a far higher value in the effects of the Laws than anything else

If the longing for retribution is overcome and the inner strength of the spirit remains filled with a peaceful trust in the work of the animistic servants, who will bring everything again into balance and harmony, then the ways open for a heightened assertion of the Will of God in individual matters and in the whole communal life of men

Thereby the new world so long awaited is literally being built, vibrating in the creative harmony of all the men who share in it

To the man himself, too, in the inflow of a growing calm, there will then come the right inspiration for how to lead his fellow men, who have perhaps caused pain and harm, to a wise atonement of the disturbance of harmony that has arisen

The inspiration will bring human deeds into accord with the Will of God, and thereby nothing will arise in the threads bearing within them the promise of the future that would compel further and further atonement

Thereby manifold more is achieved than when deeds are carried out whose foundation is anger and malice towards other men

Only thereby is it also made possible that an end be made once and for all to the ever-repeated necessities of atonement which link on out of the radiation of anger

The attaining of such an end in some matter will bring a great vibration of inner and outer liberation, in which every man taking part in it can experience within himself an immense inflow of refreshing power out of the Light

The actual happening of freeing oneself from something that previously held one or even several men in its grip is, however, made possible only in accord with the Will of God

The Law of Reciprocal Action is in this an unshakable certainty working in all the planes of the work of Creation

It is a fundamental building stone laid by the Will of God into the building of the whole work of Creation

This Law is in reality not merely the Law of Reciprocal Action, as is generally held, but is first and foremost the Law of Upbuilding

Many will ask how such a thing is possible, that the great Law of Reciprocal Action known hitherto should suddenly be called the Law of Upbuilding, when to the human spirit it predominantly brings the returning experiencing of all his earlier errors

The answer, however, is simpler than it might seem

Let us only consider for a moment

The great Law has from the beginning worked into the work of Creation from above downwards

It was therefore here also at the time when Primordial Creation itself arose, the creation of the pure spirits who do not err

And since everything laid into the effects of this Law always shares in the further development of the happening of the whole work of Creation, in Primordial Creation it could only have been a pure radiation bearing within it the glorification of the Creator

Any radiation from a volition of the spiritual kind this Law mightily drives on to further development, whereby everything laid into it is at the same time multiplied by the Love of God, so that in the running out of the threads it may come to expression as an unheard-of blessing of advancing creative growth

Out of one seed there arises a plant bearing a multiple of new seeds

Thus, like a promising fructification, works that omnipresent joining of the Divine Power which streams unceasingly through the whole work of Creation

Where an untroubled radiation is laid in, coming solely from an entirely pure spiritual volition, there arises always blessing alone

This is precisely what takes place in the planes of Primordial Creation, which we know as the spiritual region of the eternal Light

In the spiritual planes, where erring on the part of their inhabitants does not come into question, this Law is therefore regarded as the grace-filled effect of a building up blessed by God

What is laid in through the volition of the mature and pure spiritual inhabitants of Creation in the planes of the Light is led by the effect of this Law only to further joyful creating and upbuilding

God's Law in this is, and always will be, a lasting helper towards the abundant increase of joy and of happiness

It is only in Subsequent Creation that this is not always perceived clearly enough, since men in their immaturity often err and make decisions which stand in opposition to the development of the great Harmony willed by God, which must bring a wholly different harvest than the great joyful creating

In the case of the said deviations from Harmony the same effect must show itself not as further supporting the upbuilding, but must then necessarily bring a multiplied tasting of the many unpleasantnesses that arose out of the false volition of wrongly striving men

Therefore it holds that the Law which in its origin was woven by the Creator into His work as a bearer of blessing had, where something false was sown in Subsequent Creation, to become the bearer of an experiencing which men in their ignorance then wrongly call punishment

Yet in this we are to see here too only the self-acting manifestation of the original Law, which in the luminous planes of spiritual Creation is joyfully perceived as the beneficent effect of the Love of God, bringing a blessed strengthening of the creative power of their inhabitants

Here in the materialities also this Law was originally to have had exactly the same effect, that is, through its intensifying to bring the blessed upbuilding of all life in gross materiality

Out of the radiation of the pure and joy-filled volition of men there could have developed, in its effects, the way of the whole of Subsequent Creation as bringing only strengthening through the admirable increase of all the gifts of the Love of God

The developing human spirit-sparks were to learn from this to use their share in the creative effect of this Law

They were to recognise that by laying in the seeds of a volition of pure radiation that wishes good, they gradually enable whole planes and universes to flourish

Thereby there would have been fulfilled the right and healthy development, originally expected from the Light, of all those who were permitted to plunge into the depths of the materialities in order to gain experience in their unfolding, which is to lead as far as complete spiritual perfection

In this perfection there is contained also the wise use of the effects of the Law of Upbuilding

Instead of the originally blessed upbuilding, however, this Law of the Creator here brings, in the returning effect, to wavering and erring human souls predominantly such experiencing as may be called the harvest of bitter fruits sprung from a wrong sowing

Nevertheless it may still be called supremely perfect and bringing blessing, for here in Subsequent Creation it works educatively, and thereby in its effects here too we are to find only the blessing of the All-Wisdom of God

Its effects were to have been swiftly recognised by men in their experiencing, so that in the materialities also it might serve them as the bearer of multiplied success and happiness in every human undertaking

It also holds true that this Law of Upbuilding is always of help to man, if only he grasps its principle rightly and makes use of the bearing streams of upbuilding which lie within it

Man's trust in the effect of this Law, in that he will lay into its course out of himself only ardently pure radiations of the spirit that will the good, will show itself before long, as soon as the fructification by the loving Power of God sets in and the return into the returning threads of man's fate takes place

This happening fulfils itself unceasingly

That its blessed power which brings upbuilding is not recognised by men lies in the fact that men waver too much in their wishes

This Law, too, often works across several earth lives

That then brings confusion into the understanding of men, for this Law appears seemingly unjust when, through its supremely perfect effects, some men are born into kindlier conditions of earthly life than others

The answer lies in the moment of the return of men's earlier wishes and deeds, which come from past times in gross material lives, or also from a time when the soul dwelt in planes of the ethereal kind and perhaps there took part in something beneficial and helpful

Men may think what they will about it, yet it holds true that in the effects of the Laws of Creation there always works a consistently fulfilling Justice of God, which cannot be bribed and which contains not even the smallest particle of arbitrariness

There is never any error in it, for under a perfectly wise guidance only those threads are ever woven which must somewhere in the existence of the human spirit have had their beginning through his radiation

And it is precisely this radiation that the human spirit can and shall take under his own dominion, and through free will direct his volition strongly and convincingly in none but pure vibrations in the work of Creation

In connection with the great harmony which permeates the planes and the worlds, there will come back to him all the blessing which will manifold surpass his conceptions of the goodness of God

He who sows the worlds with his volition with pure seeds of promise and of hope will in the end, by the wise ways of fate, with certainty receive at the time of the ripening of the fruits a fulfilling blessedness

This is because his inner volition of all-embracing good, resting upon the knowledge of God's Laws in Creation, always shares in supporting the luminous upbuilding of whole sections of the work of Creation

Out of this sharing there flows to the human spirit a great abundance of strengthening and refreshing reinforcement

It is so at any time when he himself is a direct participant in the creative upbuilding of the pure planes of Subsequent Creation

At the same time, through the channels thus formed, there may descend from these planes back to the earth a radiation which the hands of the Alphar can turn to account for the weaving of a new world here in gross materiality

Man need not know how and where exactly his volition for good is of help, and by whom the radiation of the pure volition out of his spirit may be used for a new development

In the knowledge of the effects of the Laws of Creation he may after all rejoice at every particle of good development which awakens on earth as an awakened seed of promise and of hope for all

He should therefore be open to rejoicing at every smallest advance of life on earth in its ascent upwards to the more luminous and more joyful spheres of the blessed gardens

It should also pour new strength into him that he may see how the effects of God's Laws on earth work unceasingly towards the liberation of life from the threads woven out of the earlier false volition of whole generations, to which perhaps he himself belonged in his past lives, when in many forms he was born here or there into the earthly bodily covering

The great knowledge of the power of the working of a pure volition now brings men on earth the might to release themselves wholly from all that is past

It thus depends only upon each individual man how he for his part lays hold of this knowledge

The more human spirits there are who do so, the more swiftly and the more clearly will the world change, in spite of the wishes of those who still go astray

The power of pure volition will be victorious

It will bring the fulfilment of the fruits from the seeds of promise and of hope here also, into gross materiality itself, so that the life here may gradually draw near to all the forms of glory and of harmony that are found in the more luminous planes of the work of Creation
