With a great question many a man often stands in his life amid events which suddenly and unexpectedly entered his path and in a single moment completely changed his hitherto aims and plans

He stands either silently, in brooding, or in wrath, or also in reproaches against his unfavourable fate, yet almost always with the tormenting question why it should be he of all men, and why it came to him in just such a manner

He does not know, however, that the happening which is now unfolding for him is the result of threads hidden from earthly eyes, which were woven by the animistic servants, the Vaenen, who worked under the pressure of his own earlier volition

He does not know that the Alphar, who work faithfully precisely in the Laws of God and who took over the woven threads from the Vaenen, brought into his path, through the Laws of Creation, the exactly formed result which is to befall him

He does not know that in the animistic and ethereal part of Creation every one of his earlier volitions was woven for him into threads and then, at an exactly appointed time, passed on further into the weaving of his onward path, so that according to the law of sowing and harvest it might thereafter appear back again, formed into the shape of an experiencing which is to return to him exactly

How all this happens, and how therein, under all circumstances, amid a thousandfold of possible changes and influences, and above all with the preservation of the free will of the human-spiritual kind, that Justice of God and that Love of God can be maintained, all this has for millennia led to endless heated debates not only among simple people who believe in God, but above all among scholars, philosophers and the clergy of the churches

Until now there has been lacking in this, for the greater part of mankind, a clearly comprehensible view which would be acceptable to all

We find only a great ignorance arising out of superficiality in reflecting upon the existence of the Justice and Love promised by the Creator

A strong ignorance of the happenings in Creation leads even today whole hosts of men to the rejection of any higher recognition of the Creation of God, and under the pressure of the material intellect it drives unhappy men into a complete refusal of spiritual seeking

The insufficient struggle of the inner being of man for recognition makes of men dulled materialists with a densified view of the world, at the end of which there is always a false conception of the meaning of life, either in the shape of an ideal communism or in the veneration of a ruthless cunning with which men then supposedly strive to live at the expense of their fellow men

That through these ways of life ever new baneful threads are only being layered, which must necessarily overtake the human spirit upon its path through Creation, whether here or in the finer planes of earthly gravity, almost none of the men mentioned wishes in his spiritual dullness to admit to himself

None of the men who wonder indignantly at their fate is aware that from the very beginning, in these considerations, he builds his deduction of the happenings upon a wrong foundation

This wrong foundation lies in the fact that these men expect the fulfilment of the beginning and of the end of all human conduct always only in the gross material manifestation here on earth, and that within the compass of one earthly life

For these men there is no other solution, and therefore for them God does not exist, because here on earth there is all around only injustice

That here there holds good exactly the despairing confirmation that what the eyes do not see does not hold good for the intellect, we can recognise in the greatest part of materially limited men

What lies beyond the boundary of this world of gross matter, that the intellect has no will to trust, because it is above its capacity for recognition

The intellect stands as an obstacle to trust in the efficacy of the wise Justice of God

Such is the rule by which the reasoning of the human society of today is governed, which believes in nothing outside the earthly world

But as if that were not enough, we must mention here that the greatest part of believing people also regard as the most important thing for their life that which is connected with this visible earthly grade of life

The faith in God has become for most believers, instead of a clear recognition of the Laws of Creation and thereby also of a striving towards the luminous heights of the work of Creation, only a kind of misty construction in which they convulsively believe, while hoping that all that happens in their life will perhaps in the end turn out well through their faith

In pondering upon the Will of God, of which it is said that without it not a hair falls from the head, man then either regards himself as one who slavishly fulfils a path predetermined in advance, or the religious scholars must reach for the favourite instrument of a mysterious higher providence of God, which places man in the role of a being moved about at random in an incalculable tangle of chaos, in which everything is to tend towards the most important point – towards a belief in the redeeming sacrifice of the Saviour for mankind, while all else in human life remains inexplicable and plays a subordinate part

Alas, such is the state of mankind on earth today

Men miss all that lies beyond the boundary of the outer world of matter, for in their comprehension of the world it does not exist for many of them

Thereby there is blasphemously neglected the necessary condition for the comprehension of the whole course of the great, yet at the same time supremely simple happenings which are connected with the fate of each single man

In the considerations of the researchers mentioned there is lacking the possibility of finding a clear starting point, which however is important, for in this starting point there lies for man the recognition of the unchanging effects of the Laws of Creation and thereby also the recognition of the Will of God in Creation

The starting point is the great recognition that men in the Subsequent Creation always and under all circumstances find themselves in the midst of the working of the animistic servants labouring under the power of the Laws of God, who weave all, and thus also the most delicate, threads of the volition and of the impulses of man

Nothing of these threads is forgotten, everything is spun into the fate which then surely presents itself to man upon his onward path

The threads of fate are not led to man only at the time when they return to him, but are woven a long time in advance, exactly according to the kind of radiation contained in them

Radiation is that which we may call the great mystery in the fate of man

It is precisely with radiation that the animistic servants mentioned work

The Vaenen spin the radiation issuing from man into rays resembling threads, and these threads are led to the places of homogeneity in the ethereal spheres

Anchored here they await their time, when they are called by the vibrations of the advancing happening, and on the basis of the development of a soul which may perhaps just then be permitted to return into the earthly world they are converted again by the hands of the Alphar into radiation, out of which they then form themselves in the gross material world into the forms and happenings which await man at the right time

Taken from the point of view of the great multitude of happenings, these take place in space and time always for several men at once

The flawlessness of the animistic weavers always prepares far in advance the woven fabric of life, in which liveliness pulsates down to the smallest sequences in time and space

The immensity of thousands of happenings in a single moment always fits together with the highest consistency, which at the same time, in the principle of the Love of God, brings for everyone concerned the possibility of progress, of liberation and of ascent with a right comprehension of the happenings experienced

Although in reality it is all very simple, men are nevertheless not able to comprehend how the happening is governed by a simple principle which is bound up with the spiritual, animistic and ethereal radiation of man into the space of the work of Creation

There is still lacking here a general knowing of this smoothly streaming radiation woven by animistic hands, which, like a continually penetrating jetting forth of delicate rays, presses from man into the far distances of the universe and returns back again, so that thereby the eternal law of compensation may be fulfilled

In the case of the human spirit nothing is lost, everything is preserved for a certain time in the far distances of the worlds in homogeneous gathering places, until it is again to return to its originator, that is, to the spirit itself

It is a great and withal childlike simple recognition of the happenings which are continually fulfilled around each of men and which are a lawful happening working continually

Knowing men should know all this supremely well, and above all they should be able to co-operate with this principle

But alas, even the man to whom the recognition of the Laws of Creation has come not seldom gropes in many moments and cannot picture to himself how it all works together in that perfect concurrence of happenings in which he is to find always and under all circumstances the presence of the Justice of God

This holds good especially when harm, oppression or what he takes for injustice happens to him himself

Also when the manifestations of the returning threads have forms which man has not yet known and which are for him an unexpected happening, such as for example the unexpected coming of an illness, or other upheavals in human life

Alas, therefore, even knowing men here in the earthly world prove that in their comprehension they build, in nine cases out of ten, in their thoughts about the Laws of Creation upon a ponderous material reflection, and that they actually grope in like manner as was already mentioned above in the case of other believers

They too not seldom look upon the world around with an excessive demand for a necessary compensation such as their intellect pictures to itself with its limited comprehension of real Justice

Earthly perceiving can comprehend only the smallest part of those happenings which take place beyond the dividing line of the capacity of the day-consciousness of earthman

The day-consciousness, and therefore also the intellect, beholds only the smallest spur of the great paths of the threads and of the radiations

It is apt when it is said that over many events the intellect literally stands still

And although the intellect is not able to comprehend it in its whole extent, it nevertheless takes place in the strictest fulfilment of the Laws of Creation, which lead and direct towards man the filaments out of the great wreath of radiation which, like a living cycle of threads of all powers and colours, fills the whole Subsequent Creation

Precisely the radiation mentioned is that handle through which the Alphar work right down into gross matter

Let us once more let the living picture come forth of the radiation and of the weaving of the threads woven out of this radiation, which is the fundamental starting point for everything that finally happens also upon the gross material plane of the earthly world

The course of all the mutually interpenetrating streams, threads and filaments of the faintest kind is in the hands of the Alphar the equipment with which they finally weave also all the happening which is sunk into the actual grade of gross materiality

It may be said that gross matter and the happenings taking place in it are always led by radiation, which governs the denser matter and directs it towards the attaining of a result set beforehand

The leading of the streams of radiation towards the attaining of the exact form and intensity of the experiencing of men in the earthly world belongs precisely to the Alphar

The all-embracing nature of the course of this whole gearing of radiation, which never halts and which at the same time never errs, surpasses the capacity of comprehension of human perceiving and is a confirmation of the great Wisdom of God, which from the heights of the Grail leads and governs everything through the nature of Parzival, who as the administrator of the Grail is the holder of the keys of the existence and of the endurance of all the inhabitants of the work of Creation

That man may at least in part grasp it, we can picture to ourselves that the happening around a single human spirit in a single moment of his path through the Subsequent Creation would require for its working all the data of the computers to be found today on earth, which in hundreds of years would process only a little of those great and small threads which surround man in one single moment and connect him with all the lawful happenings in Creation

This picture, which tells of the comprehensive Wisdom and Justice of God, gives only partially, in intimation, an inkling of that abyss which opens between man as a spiritual creature and the Holy God, who is his Creator

Therefore let us now let the course of the happening come alive before our sight as it is in reality, for in Creation nothing stands still, nothing is without life, but it is driven by the ever newly inflowing, all-quickening mighty power

Silently must man stand before the great, perfect work of Creation, which is the home granted to him and in which he can move rightly and surely forward if through his inner being there streams a pure will for good and for a childlike simple creativeness

In the fulfilling of all the threads mentioned the spirit does not need to be able to read, to write or to reckon, but everything for a right advance through the radiation of the Laws is contained in the power of the purity of its spiritual intuitive perception

Everything else, figuratively speaking, the Alphar will arrange, as the helpers granted to man by God in his spiritual development, for the pure will of man is for them the most important determining expression of the human spirit

So simple is it in reality, and there is nothing further in it

The complexity in comprehension and the unintelligibility were impressed upon it by earthman together with the world which he himself made confused by permitting a cleavage between the intuitive perception and the world of thought, in which the intellect appointed its own aims, which gradually became the ground for an outward cleverness

Through the way the intellect separated itself from the influence of the spiritual intuitive perception, the originally straight and clear happenings which bore concord between the inner and the outer conduct of men became entangled

Today the intuitive perceiving lags far behind the thinking

Like pain it burns in the inner being of many when they often become aware afterwards that in this or that matter they did not act honourably, but only and solely for the fulfilment of some aim of their own

But then it is usually already too late, for the radiated kind of the original intellectual impulses is woven, and the ensuing inward pain is led in its own ray, which however has not the power to change the fabric of the formed happenings which unfold from the original volition

It may perhaps mitigate them, give them a symbolic form, but nevertheless such a living out is then for the spirit only a necessary compensation which delays it upon its path

It is not the progress which lies hidden in the direct participation of the spiritual intuitive perception in the present

The vigilant participation of the intuitive perception in the experiencing calls forth happenings which are always a progress for the spirit, however much this often leads to a difficult advance forward with other men

Today it has come to this, that a man who acts according to his intuitive perceiving at once collides with other men through his straightforwardness

If he maintains sincerity and the endeavour for honourable conduct, he becomes for most men too dangerous, for something goes with him which the intellect cannot master, where it remains outside its own field of working, unless the spiritual inner being is lastingly its ruler

But all this is only a tiny part of the real happening in time and space, wherein the power of a sincere intuitive perception expressed in the moment of the present has a manifold effect upon the anchoring of the threads ever higher in the planes of Light

The Alphar then weave all these radiated impulses of intuitive perception taking place in the inner being of men and give them a movement which leads them to the homogeneous places in the planes of the ethereal spheres of the Subsequent Creation

From there the threads remain connected with the single men and await the opportunity of compensation in returning to the man if he is on earth, or on the contrary they draw the soul to themselves if it has already left the protective covering of the earthly body

The threads draw the soul to the places where the living out, and thereby the laying aside of the previous impulses, best offers itself

If man is then again in an earthly incarnation, then out of these threads there is clearly woven, in the liveliest and most mobile vibration, the path of the important points of experiencing in the given life

The threads in their liveliness draw and lead man, with the maintaining of a homogeneous attunement, to the places and to the men where, in the fulfilment of strict Justice, the compensation of previous good or also of not good volition may best take place

In earthly existence, then, according to homogeneity, it is naturally for the most part what is not good that can be laid aside, because the earth, with the spiritual state of men, rather makes this possible

The good then returns to man more easily in the places of the brighter planes of Creation

In this lies the answer for all those who call for the Graciousness of God, which is to surround them with a help and a kindness as lasting as possible, because after a long time of straying they are at last striving to be good

This expectation calls forth in many men the impression of injustice, for they then easily succumb to the impression that it is precisely to them that wrong is being done, and that in their striving for good they are deprived of the temporary happiness of other men

They are not aware that that happiness of others will as a rule be dearly paid for in their fate, and that these men will then one day have to compensate all the ways by which they came to a temporary earthly happiness by a manifold bitter way, if the impulses of their deeds were not honourable, pure and above all in harmony with their fellow men and with the other inhabitants of the work of Creation

Thus it is simple and evident for everyone who only wishes to occupy himself with it more earnestly

This is because, since all the threads are led by the masterly spinning of forms and happenings by the animistic servants, the Alphar, there is never in it even a particle of injustice

If man then sometimes meets with earthly injustice, this is because the free will of men endures and they can even today still, for a certain time, out of the will of their volition do things that are not good to their fellow men

The free will of men in their deciding cannot be prevented, and this even though at the given moment they act wrongly and harm others

The Alphar, however, are now shortening all the threads of human impulses under the pressure of the Ray of Parzival, for it is willed by God the Father that, for the awakening of many in the fulfilment of a Justice made visible, the threads should return ever more immediately

Thus we stand in time and space, where the thousands of moments of one day bring to every man the opportunity in humility and patience to receive the harvest of his sowing and at the same time, through the honest endeavour of his spirit for a pure existence, to sow the seeds of blessing which will surely spring up, whether here or upon the onward path in a better time and in the conditions of the more Light-irradiated places of the Subsequent Creation, or in the spiritual home itself – in Paradise

We are in that happening announced by the ancient proclamations, wherein the forms which now emerge before men and which in their suddenness appear as new bring ever higher demands upon the mature spiritual attitude of man

These forms, by the speed of their changes, remind us that not far before us lies the time when earthman will have none of the hitherto securities to which he is accustomed and will have to prove his character, that is, whether he is good and pure or not

And precisely this approaching time is the best period for the laying aside of all the threads of the past, for the intensification of liveliness in the transformations of forms and happenings gives the possibility for the full awakening of the inner abilities of the spirit in every man

Only man must not be inwardly asleep, but needs to be ready within himself through his purification, through a freeing of himself from all low aims and wishes which would hold him in a homogeneity that will bring blows of the heaviest kind of experiencing

The forms woven by the Alphar circle around mankind, and there hovers in them much that would surely today startle a mankind still surviving in comfort and prosperity

Soon, however, this may be the past, and into the life of a great part of mankind there will burst a change, in order to awaken, in order to bring the return of past volitions in the widest palette of the skills of the faithful servants, the Alphar

And together with these forms there rolls in an acceleration of time which will bring for many men, in their relations with one another, an almost complete transformation of what holds good today

Only there where men are held together by pure and fervent bonds nourished by noble intuitive perceptions, only there will the Light be able to work through healing forms and happenings which will bring yet more fervour and genuineness

But woe to all those men who keep others by them only out of cleverness and gain, where there is found the calculation with which they approach other men

They will end in loneliness, like the most rejected stones, or under the pressure of the Light they will be drawn in intensified measure to men of their own like, so that thereafter the burden of their threads of fate may be fulfilled upon them together in accelerated measure

Although the words about the coming happening in the forms of the Alphar may sound grave to some and may thus call forth fears of the approaching happening, they are words bestowed today as a help towards the approaching Christmas festival

It is the bestowal of a kindly strengthening towards the highest spiritual work of man, that with his inner being he may become vigilant in a pure vibrating and ruling over the instrument of the intellect

For the very same Laws working in Creation which, in the fulfilment of the wise Justice of God, bring blows, pain and suffering to many men, those very same Laws surely serve man as his most faithful helpers in the moment of his pure volition upon his ascent towards the Light

Whoever rightly recognises the Laws of Creation in their effects can co-operate with them, because he brings into every noble deed a power of an unprecedented kind

It is only and solely that men have not learned to use this power rightly and to conquer with it, although it is lastingly at their hand

The power of an inner pure conviction of an impersonal kind directs, through the woven threads, the stream of the power mentioned to the places where the power can then, with a manifold effect, bring liberation and victory in every matter

It is needful, however, always to stand in it without personal aims, only for the meaning and the essence of the given matter, which perhaps stands wrongly in regard to the destiny appointed by God in Creation

Also for the support of those deeds of men who act rightly in some matter it is possible to lead the power streaming through the Laws of Creation consciously, in a pure supplication, towards an intensification

The darkness can always be overcome, for the threads of volition, in the acceleration of the happenings, will then change the forms exactly as will be made possible to the Alphar by the way of Justice

The condition for this co-operation with the animistic servants who form the threads of the happening towards their fulfilment is the knowledge of the Will of God in the given matter

Where there is not a sufficient knowledge of the Will of God, that is, a knowledge of the ways which are to be fulfilled in the great course of the threads, there the helping power also cannot in the end present itself, although the volition of one man or even of several men be great and fervent

The Alphar can change the world for the better even now, under these baneful conditions which prevail on earth

The condition for this is a sufficiency of pure, but also of spiritually mature men

The greater the host and its unity in a fervent wish, the stronger and swifter the effect of the changes that can come

It may thus be, for example, a supplication experienced at the time of the Christmas day, when the minds of men are best opened in a peaceful festive attunement

Let the content of the prayer or of the supplication now be the most important thing

The spiritual awakening of the greatest possible number of men on this earth

An awakening to the willing of good and to conduct towards that end at all moments

For the fulfilment of this inner prayer much strengthening will be added in concord by the spiritual helpers from the heights of Creation

Parzival himself will then make it possible for the Alphar to be permitted in the near future to bring shocks which will however bear within them liberation and strengthening for all life on this earth

Much can be changed if in man there is a genuine will for it and a readiness to overcome all that returns to him

If he bears within himself that living recognition of the Laws of Creation, then in everything that comes to him he will seek the higher wisdom which works for him with the Love of God the Father only so that he may one day be permitted to enter the blessed city of the Golden Streets in the spiritual home
