The Raising of the Spiritual Flame Into the Luminous Heights

To maintain a constant connection with the Light the spirit needs to have a permanently open way, which for him is at all times clear and freely passable

The way upward to the Light is formed by the liveliness of the spirit

The radiant spiritual flame, leaping high upward, is then that link which with certainty keeps the consciousness of the spirit dwelling here on Earth in connection with the luminous heights

The strongly radiant flame of the unshakable pure volition of a mature human spirit always forces a glorious way upward into the heights of the Light

Only such a way can lead the consciousness of man to the places of the all-helping Light in the translucent heights whenever he then needs it in the hours of his earthly life

And likewise only along this same way can strengthening stream back to the spirit from all the blissful places out of which the rays of the Light pour forth for the whole work of Creation

That most precious strengthening from the Grail can descend only to that spirit who keeps within himself a permanently open connection into the spiritual planes filled with purity in the work of Creation

This way, which is an important link resembling a lifeline, the spirit needs not only to weave and to form through living inner movement, but above all thereafter to renew it continually through his intuitive perception as a sacred passage raising the consciousness of the spirit above this earthly material and thought-world

Where the way is not continually maintained in renewal, there the density of the thought-forms quickly closes in above man, so as to shut his consciousness in below again and not to allow him to breathe in fully the refreshing influx of forces from the Light

Therefore there is talk of the penetrating power needed by the spiritual flame, which is to raise itself with its consciousness above these thought-lowlands that in the long run always narrow and restrict everything spiritually pure in man

The breaking through of the layer of the thought-kind and the keeping of this broken-through link permanently open for oneself is now the condition for the real spiritual ascent of man in today's world on Earth

It is vitally important for a sure and right spiritual walking through the present time on Earth

Whoever is not fully aware of this and does not heed it is continually exposed to the danger of the gradual encircling and shutting in of his inner being by the density of the thought-world of the present time

Therefore the spirit needs, with the utmost liveliness and in full pure longing, to force his way ever higher upward towards the Light

Only some way higher above the ground-level world of the thought-plane does the starting ground for the ascent of the spirit begin

That it is so, only very few of men are aware, for the encircling by the density of thoughts here is so strong that even that greatest part of men who truly strive spiritually are able only from time to time to summon the strength to swing up above the boundary of the medium and the fine gross materiality here

This state is proved by that lasting spiritual misery dwelling even among men who at the same time do not hesitate to speak very familiarly of lofty concepts

Yet to speak of concepts merely outwardly, or to experience them livingly in an inward glowing through in the intuitive perception, between these there reigns a great difference

Although among men on Earth today there is talk of Holy God, of Jesus, of the Son of Man, of the Grail, of the planes of Primordial Creation, of the exalted radiant knights, of the virtuous handmaidens in the blissful planes, of the mighty animistic servants in Valhalla and of many other immeasurably precious concepts besides, these have for earthly man no possibility of mediating strength enough for the great and so greatly needed ascent if these concepts are the object of his interest mainly only in thoughts and the experiencing in the intuitive perception is lacking

This is because the forces flowing from it are drawn only from a reflected gleam which is faintly mirrored in the already formed concepts of the thought-world

There is lacking the real, pure connection with the lofty concepts in their original glory and translucency, which meanwhile still surrounds them and fills them with power from the spring of Divine Holiness

In the world of men on Earth, however, they have become lifeless, for they are only a thought-reflection which has the capacity to satisfy the intellect, but not the spirit

Let us for once reflect earnestly upon this

What takes place in the inner being of man at the utterance of the concept God, the Holy Spirit, the Grail, Parzival, that everyone can clearly observe in himself

Either he finds within himself lofty stirrings of an inward blissful uplift in connection with the primordially eternal living happenings which take place in conjunction with these concepts whenever it is given to them to resound in the work of Creation, or the concepts pass merely through his thinking brain and nothing vibrates in his inner being

If it is so that those lofty concepts are for the earthly ear of man a mere sound without a strong vibration in the inner being, then that true spiritual connection is surely lacking which would lead at once to a deep accord of the spirit, who through the connection thus formed may at once let enter into himself the Power of the Light inseparably bound up with those concepts

The inward trembling is closely bound up with the happening in the region of the cardiac plexus, that is, in the region of the middle of the chest

Here above all the vibrations need to take place, and also a certain form of uplift which leads the spiritual inner being ever further upward towards the Light

For the imprint into the radiation of the blood, the state of uplift towards the glorifying of God and of His work first needs to come alive in the inner being of the spirit

Only thus is the pressure formed which is transferred, like the imprint of a picture, into the radiation of the blood

The inward trembling leading to a living circulation of the blood in the body sets in only if the connection of the spirit with the higher planes of the work of Creation is made possible

But that is possible only if a lofty concept sounding for man is not merely a sound, but is truly the mediator of the connection of the spirit with the Light

Rather therefore form no joinings of consonants and vowels into words if in these words there is not at the same time contained for the spirit a fervent connection with the concept which is to form the imprint into material sound

The forms of lofty concepts are to be left wholly aside if the most living participation of the spirit does not at the same time pulsate in them

That is better than that the most precious concepts should become a commonplace sound for the earthly consciousness of man

It is always to be an inwardly living, indeed the most living work, when man occupies himself with all that is for him so vitally earnest and important as are the concepts touching the essence of all Life in Creation

To the true approach to these concepts the spirit of every man must find his way independently, in earnest and honest striving through the inward vibration of the intuitive perception

That comes about only in the hours of a genuine attunement to the Light and to Life, which lie at the very source of all the planes of the work of Creation

This striving needs to be given forth out of the spirit, who opens himself first to the influxes of uplifting trust and joy, those attendant manifestations of the Light which is inseparable from all the currents descending through the planes of the work of Creation from the heights of the Grail

Joyful inward uplift is the foundation for the spiritual flame, which in complete surrender to the streaming of the Light needs to blaze up into the highest degree of the vibrations of bliss that a human spirit can bear

That is the work which goes hand in hand with the deep stirrings of the intuitive perception and which at its highest tension borders on the lofty warming pulses in the breast of man that threaten almost wholly to overcome him

In the region of the cardiac plexus there takes place that exalted accord with the living vibrations of the lofty concepts in Creation

And only thereby is the way formed for a genuine accord such as is rightly to pulsate through man, so that his spirit may rightly glorify the Creator and His work

The attunement to this leads through the purest childlikeness, which resides only in the capacity of the human spirit, not in the activity of the brain

The flame of the mature spirit mentioned is marked precisely by a pure, trustful childlikeness in its approach to the perceiving of all the lofty happenings in the work of Creation

And this state, so important for a right walking through all the happening in this time on Earth, is precisely very distant from a great part of mankind

It is therefore nothing strange if there is talk of a sickness, of a state of great spiritual paralysis of the men of today on Earth

But it is high time to be cured of this state of paralysis and to step out, with a free and joyful prospect, upon the way upward to the planes of the Light

In this many are still to be helped who long to make their intuitive perception their own to the full degree of experiencing

Without that, life in reality remains a mere eking out of existence instead of a mighty drawing of all the living forces streaming through the work of Creation

The Gospel of the Grail is here to help all who earnestly long for the liberating awakening in their inner being

Only the Grail and the Power descending from it can today still help mankind to its rescue

There is no other way of making good all the harm done by men under the pressure of the tempters of Lucifer than that the world and the Earth be filled again with the purest Light descending from the heights of the work of Creation

But men are to help towards this by their striving for the purest and most humble soil in their inner being

Where the true humble opening for this resides, there an influx of living Power may now come to everyone who earnestly entreats for it

It is only necessary to attune oneself inwardly and wholly to the picture of the vessel of the Grail, pulsating in the flood of radiant rays of the streaming Light from the Divinely inexhaustible source of Life

The Power in the Grail works strengtheningly for every creature

It is healing for all life

It cures every pain, whether of a bodily or of an inward, spiritual or soul kind

The Power descends ready to enter into the inner being of man

Contained within it are the incomprehensible Love of God, God's Just All-Wisdom, and the liberating Purity of God

In it Christ and the Holy Spirit work together

Through the radiation of the Light the giver of Life within it is God the Father Himself

Only let this Power from the Grail enter into you, that it may set your inner being trembling and fill the body with new refreshment for all the hours of your further life

This Power may change space and time, it breaks the force of the curse of all the threads of fate, so as to heal and to liberate those who have changed and improved in their becoming luminous and in their purification

Be born again in the spirit, and the Power will join with your inner being, to accompany you anew through life

The Power of the Grail sustains body and spirit, it strengthens and brings hope, so that everyone may be that which in his purest volition he longs to be

Rebirth is within reach of every spirit if his inner soil is prepared for it

Prepare your spirit for the feast of this Power, so that the grace of God, which will set you free, may come to you

Let the spirit but live through the happening described above, contained in the words

Let him live through it in the highest inward liveliness, so that he may be joined with the Power contained in the words

Learn with your spirit to draw Power from the Grail, and you will be happy for all ages

Join with others for the realising of circles in which the chief and the only thing will be the joyful glorifying of God and the receiving of His Power through the Grail

Meeting together in circles for the joining with the Light and with the Power from the Grail, that is the way in which the outcome for a new world lies

That new thing, so greatly awaited by the hosts of billions of men, will not come through an outward change of society, but solely from within outward in every single man

And precisely for the support of this inward awakening the Gospel of the Grail is here as the Way of the Grail, which changes the attunement in man so that he may become inwardly living and intuitive, because only thus may he join with the Light that mediates his rescue to him

Out of the calling of the Grail the transformation of a new world here on Earth may be shaped by way of individual inwardly pure spirits

But this is nothing for great social happenings, rather it goes, like every spring at its beginning, quietly and gently only from man to man, and thereby it leaps across like a spark of new hope

And so it is also to be, that it may foster the independence and the inner freedom of man

Only in free circles is the mutual support for the joining with the Light and with the Grail to take place

With the participation of the highest will for inner work, liveliness in the comprehending of all the lofty concepts is to unfold, so that these may live in the spirit as something inseparable from his experiencing of the present moment, and that under all the conditions of outward circumstances

Thanks for divine help, the glorifying of the Loving-Kindness of God, the ability to take refuge in the protection of the Grail, all this is to become anew something self-evident for the human spirit in his life on this Earth

The spirit also needs to learn to use this well, so that he may keep the right attunement in the striving of his spiritual flame

That is the work which awaits all who were permitted with their inner being to know, through the Truth, enlightenment by the Light of God in this life of theirs

In their inner being lies the foundation which enables them to raise the spiritual flame high into the Light, so as to draw strengthening from there for this world

The whole material world waits for the coming of the luminous rescue which alone, together with the setting straight and the forgiving of all pains and wrongs, has the ability to found the kingdom of peace, happiness and hope, that kingdom which is promised by God to all those who are pure in heart

So may the flame of the spirit, joined with the pure heart of man, shoot up into the heights and find there the spring of Power for himself and for all his fellow men in this world

The historical development of this Earth calls for the awakening of everything purely spiritual in man

The near events call for this earnest step from the individual and from the whole of society

May the approaching Festival of the Outpouring of the Power of the Holy Spirit from the Grail find all spiritually open men prepared
