The Radiant Gearwork of the Animistic Working in Human Life

Without man being aware of it, he is penetrated by the animistic working as pervasively as when the rays of a certain wave radiation pass through his earthly body

All that man has upon himself, around himself and within himself in the materialities belongs to the animistic, which arose to life out of the Will of God at the beginning of the Subsequent Creation

The only thing which is man's true possession, and which is at the same time the most precious for him, is the spiritual spark which he is to transform into a brightly shining flame of the mature kind, which alone may step into the spiritual world, into paradise, which lies in the Primordial, purely spiritual Creation

Apart from this spark, which is likewise a gift of God, nothing in the Subsequent Creation belongs to man, for all else is of animistic origin, formed by the animistic creating, and this animistic helps the spirit of man only as a support for his development

Whatever man may take into his hands, whether he looks upon his body, upon his soul, whether he may behold his own work in gross materiality and in the ethereal, none of it belongs to him, but through the animistic working it is only lent to him for his use

In the end he will one day have to lay all this aside, to leave it, whether as a fully self-conscious spirit entering the blissful spiritual home, or as a once more unconscious germ of the spiritual kind which lost upon its path the direction to the Light and had to be drawn into the vortex of destruction, in which it forfeited the possibility of its own I

In every respect all that is given to man in the Grace of God for his use upon the path through the Subsequent Creation, all this belongs to the administration of the animistic weaving, and it will also rest with the animistic servants whether it will later be destroyed or will in some way be further used for the further development of the Subsequent Creation

Man is only a guest in this Subsequent Creation, for he has not the least merit in its arising, but entered the spheres of these planes and worlds only after these had already been formed and prepared for his coming

If only he wished, he could find everywhere around him a thousandfold proofs of the Loving-Kindness of God, which by its call awakened the animistic forces into service, so that they might prepare the glory of these planes, in which man may delight in their refreshing beauty and freshness

Wherever, then, we look, there we find only an admirable part of the creative work which prepared, from the smallest particles up to the greatest divisions of Creation, the gradual stairs for the human spirit, who may hold to all this in reverence and use it as gifts granted to him upon his path

We stand in the midst of all the forming of the animistic and observe nothing of it, for we take it as a matter of course, as a complete certainty, that all this is here solely and only that we may use it in the manner which we hold to be the only right one, according to our superficial conceptions and judgments

Very often man does not even reflect upon these things, but takes from it for himself, with a never satisfied craving, all that he can, without a single thought that the table was already spread when he entered here, and that like every well-bred guest he should ask the host why it is spread, for what purpose it was made ready

In all enjoyments, in all that falls to earthman, he longs solely and only to seek his own exceptional standing, and in his self-centredness he wishes to have the greatest possible room for his experiencing, which is limited to an experiencing of the coarsely material kind, which is held to be the most important, and is held by many to be the only thing that truly exists

In this self-centredness of his, earthman esteems himself the most important part of Creation, holds himself to be the direct image of the Creator, because his limitation does not permit him to see even a small particle further than the mirror of himself

Like delirious babbling does the human exalting of oneself above all else in nature appear to all the animistic working, where man does not hesitate to call himself the lord of creation

What manner of lord, however, is he, when even the outermost cloak of the spirit, his earthly body, could never be born without the co-operation of the animistic servants, who first had to weave all the threads which finally made it possible for the human spirit to incarnate into the body which was prepared for him

What would man do alone in the Subsequent Creation without the animistic helpers

Bared in his immature frailty, he would tremble without the possibility of further movement towards development, if the soil of the single planes were not granted him, in which alone he can surround his spiritual spark with protecting envelopes, so that it may thereafter set out upon the path through the Subsequent Creation

Without the thousandfold kindly and helping hands of the animistic servants the human spirit would have no support for the forming of his coverings, and would tremble helplessly with cold in the heterogeneous surroundings of the materialities, which would slide off his feeble glow without the possibility of clinging to it and forming a protecting cloak

His will and his volition would remain alone, for they would not suffice to create the needful bridgings whereby he might anchor himself in the variously material spheres upon the path which he needs to accomplish, for this path to maturity in the far distances of the materialities alone gives him the opportunity for development and thereby for maturity

In reality it would be wholly out of the question for him even to set out upon this path of his, for out of himself he would not have power enough for it, nor the help which must first come to meet him through the readiness of the radiant animistic soil which arose as a preliminary step for the development of the human spiritual species

It may be said that the human spirit is from his beginning dependent upon every single help of the animistic servants, and his thoughts should be directed to the Holy God in enduring thanks that He sent out to his aid these faithful and devoted helpers of His, so that his spiritual spark might gradually become ever more self-conscious and mature

He is like a little flame descending downward, caught in tender hands which through their care created a protection for it, so that the little flame might grow strong into a bright flame, without being meanwhile extinguished by the strong gusts of the material streams wafting around it

Upon all the planes of the Subsequent Creation, not excepting gross materiality, the human spirit is cared for in wisdom and in foresight, so that he may always have at hand exactly that which at his own time he needs to have

Yes, it is rightly described – he is cared for, he is always helped, and this care wholly surpasses all the hitherto conceptions of men, for without this care on the part of the animistic his protecting coverings would swiftly wither and dry up, and the bared spirit would in his immaturity have to be swiftly driven out of this part of Creation, as unable to maintain his existence without the support in the animistic

Where, then, is that pride of the creature who boasts so greatly of his faculties and his skills, when everything needful for these skills of his he in reality draws out of that which has already been created by the animistic working

The only thing which man can and should truly influence is the brightness and the purity of the glow of his spirit, who then, making use of all the help from the animistic, may manifest himself as a joyful and harmoniously radiating inhabitant of Creation

If he does so sufficiently and in a strong glowing of the spirit, then all else will always be added unto him, so that he may never suffer want, may not suffer need, and may have all that is needful in sufficiency for a successful advance upon his path of development towards the spiritual home

The condition, however, is that he should remain brightly radiant in all that comes to him, and also that he should conduct himself as a guest acting with nobility of character in these planes

A noble, well-bred guest listens to what the host offers him and values his hospitality, for which he can only and solely give thanks, for he himself brought nothing into the Subsequent Creation apart from his kind of spiritual radiation

Man, in his kind of the human spiritual, is a child of Creation, and he may, indeed he has the direct duty, to unfold this pure childlikeness of his into the exaltedness and greatness of an independently working spiritual personality, which works joyfully in harmony with the whole of Creation

The preciousness of his spiritual origin man can turn to account by bringing this spiritual kind to bright radiance already here in the materialities, and thereby he bestows upon them a kind which the animistic welcomes, if this kind of radiation bears within it harmony and co-operation

If, however, man in his pride and in his supposed exceptional standing is disturbing, then the animistic must prepare for him, according to the Laws of God, an experiencing which will lead him to the restoring of the humility and the modesty which befit a child of Creation

Then man must recognise his powerlessness in sicknesses and in the happenings of nature, and also in the earthly invisible radiation which is appointed for his soul and which must then, after his departure from this earth, crush it in the recognition of its weakness and of its dependence upon all the laws of the Will of God, in which it ever finds itself

Man moves always within the frame of the Laws of God, and these hold good for everyone, for him who acknowledges them just as for him who in his foolishness mocks them and perhaps even wishes to deny them

Even such a fool, resisting God, is without exception exposed to their effects, which must fall upon him through the threads woven by the hands of the animistic beings, be it here or there

He will be crushed in the dragging and the grinding of their effects until he acknowledges them and receives them as a natural part of his existence

There is therein something great and at the same time supraterrestrially wise and just, which works in these threads surrounding and pervading man

It is a guidance directed forward for the support of the spiritual spark in man, so that this may unfold amid many teachings and may recognise the great Work of the Divine Creation such as it truly is

The hands of the animistic beings are the fulfillers of the promise which leads the human spirit to progress, without regard to whether it pleases him in his immaturity or not

It is the fulfilling of the first wish of the spiritual spark, which at its beginning longed to ripen into an exalted co-working in Creation

That earthman no longer remembers anything of this is only the work of the intellectual estrangement from the inner intuitive perception, which nevertheless still bears within it the imprint of this first longing wish

Somewhere deep in the inner being of man there is the consciousness of that glorious beginning of the path

It is the imprint of the blissful ringing in the gardens of the animistic working, into which the spark of the spirit plunged quietly and with delicacy for the beginning of its path

Every human being can call to mind this first longing vibration of the inner being and bring it again to life

Somewhere deep within every human being there is that childlikeness which develops either rightly towards joy and blessing, or else, silted up in the density of the ill, has grown deaf and in forgetting rushes towards its undoing

It rests only with each human being whether he will again cause to ring out within himself that greatness and glory which is bound up with it like a quiet call

The animistic stands ready in its radiant gearwork to bring again new strengthenings for the ascent of the spirit to the Light

There is no reason to wait longer, for every waiting and wavering only lengthens the way upward and also makes it heavier and more arduous, for by tarrying and by putting off his awakening man only removes himself more and more from his spiritual goal

Surrounded by helps which draw their wisdom from the Will of God, man stands surrounded and pervaded by the web of radiant threads of the animistic, and at every moment he may draw from them for himself in a pure and humble attunement of his spirit

Out of these threads a path is woven for him which always in the first place directs his inner being forward, so that it may ripen and thus move upon the steps upward to the Light

Often a heavy experiencing too must be formed out of these threads, which, however, is only the consequence of something past and bears within it only an experience for spiritual recognition and comprehension

In this time everything is driven forward under the heightened pressure of the radiation of the Ray of Parzival towards the ripening and the completion of the path of the spirit

Therefore there are so very many experiences which now begin to draw near to man, demanding to be lived through and thereby to be laid aside as a liberating burden which then no longer hinders the spirit upon his way upward

Much that is heavy which draws near to man is therefore something which men should not reject, but should receive in a pure entreaty for the help of the Light

If the knowing ones are able to receive the heavy hours of their existence in acceptance and in forgiveness towards those who are the seeming originators, then they truly liberate themselves, so that they may ascend upward with their inner being

In that moment there is already brought to them the radiation of threads which bring help and strengthening, so that the spirit may experience the touch of the Love of God, if beforehand he proved by his attitude that he truly deserves it

In every experiencing there is contained an end which will surely come, in order to lift him who has passed through the happening purely, humbly and courageously, with trust in the Justice of God, higher, into the higher translucency of ethereal surroundings which will enfold his soul and, like a delicate balm, bring him radiation for the healing of all wounds

The animistic weaving of the exalted Alphar may then bear the soul of man higher, into the gardens of ethereal refreshment, so that the soul may there be refreshed and, strengthened by the Light, may return again to the further continuing of its path in the earthly body

Through the endless hosts of the servants of animistic help there is fulfilled for man that glorious promise “When the need is greatest, the help of God is nearest”

If men were but once permitted to see this, they would look back with justified shame upon their former paths through earthly life as upon a time of complete unknowing dullness, when in the blindness of rigid opinions they defiantly refused to perceive this world as a part of the great Creation

When they thought that nothing exists but the matter of materiality, although daily there were around them thousands of proofs bearing witness to the greatness of God and to His faithful servants who work around us

He who now but a little opens his sight will be permitted at every moment of his life to behold the countless threads of the helping kind which surround him solely and only for his direction towards the true home in the spiritual planes of the Light

With manifold courage he will then walk through life, prepared to receive all that draws near to him

He will look upon it all as a new opportunity for further progress in the wisdom and the maturity of his spirit

And over all things there will arch for him his prayer of thanks, directed to the glorifying of Him Who lets all this arise to life in the effects of His perfect Laws, and through His servants and helpers brings it into the path of man for his strengthening and his ascent
