The Proofs Testifying to the Awakening of the Spirit

The awakened human spirit manifests itself in a becoming luminous of the capacity of intuitive perceiving in all that he thinks and does

It is precisely the intuitive perception, the intuitive perceiving, and also the outward manifestation towards one's surroundings glowed through by intuition, which is the first sign of the awakening of the spiritual inner being in man

Real intuitive perceiving always approaches in a healthy manner everything that happens around a person

It is the entering upon the path on which the spirit of man follows Christ by living the Word which He mediated to all people who strive to come into the nearness of God in the spiritual planes of the work of Creation

It is the full living of all the Words of Jesus, in which men are in the very first place to lay hold of the strong help contained in the beatitudes enumerated by Him

Step by step all this is to come alive in the spirit to the full unfolding of fervour already here on Earth

There is no moment in which intuitive perceiving could not be present in a man

In every meaningful action, in every creative work, the blessing of the Light may be found through the presence of a helping human kindness

Likewise in rest and in recreation everything is to be filled by man with a warmly joyful cordiality

At the same time a kindly intuitive experiencing never excludes a sharp rejection of everything that bears within itself temptation and evil

Against that which in its principle stands opposed to the Light, which works against everything purely vibrating in the Laws of Creation, a strict demarcation is always to be in readiness in the intuitively perceiving man

It is precisely healthy intuitive perceiving which makes it possible to recognise well where good is and where anything of evil volition is germinating

Sufficient strength is always to be exerted for a vigilant examining through intuition, so that man may support only what is pure and good, and conversely so that he may sharply and in good time reject that which bears decomposition within itself already in the very germ

At the same time he is to strive for the ennobling of everything that offers itself to him for his use

All this demands from each of men the highest exertion of spiritual liveliness in recognising the conditions prevailing in the present time on Earth

He who does not occupy himself with recognising what is healthy in its core and what is not cannot expect that the Light will have helps for him, that he himself may be protected and graciously strengthened upon the path upwards

If the human spirit does not himself strive with all his strength, he will never receive a true knowledge of the Will of God in Creation

In the knowledge of the Will of God every single person on Earth is today behindhand

There is no one here who has wholly recognised and understood what the concept of the Will of God means

But thereby it also becomes plain that no one among men grasps the content of the Words of Jesus, for it is precisely in them that the path to the knowledge of the Will of God the Father lies

It still passes earthmen by, however many there are on Earth who again and again throw themselves into the struggle for the knowledge of the right path leading to God

Yet a further measure of the strength of the spirit must come into it, so that the change testifying to the complete awakening of the spirit may be realised and fulfilled

The fully awakened spirit takes care, in all that he does, to strengthen his surroundings in a harmonious way towards a raising higher to nobility of character and to becoming luminous

The real change, which follows naturally from the awakening of the spiritual inner being, lies in the ability of such a person to change everything for the better, and that not only the great things but precisely also the smallest

In little things the ascent of the human spirit slumbers

It shows itself also in the constancy of holding a joyful attunement and in the perseverance of the striving to be a good and purely minded person under all circumstances

All these are proofs confirming that the person concerned genuinely strives for the unfolding of his intuitive perceiving

In many a person the awakening of the spirit is, in the image, a transformation from a turbid, sluggishly flowing ditch into a clear, sparkling and refreshing mountain stream

A sluggishly moving current always threatens to come to a standstill and to spoil completely all that still remained healthier

And today's social world is one great marshy ditch

Precisely for this reason it is now urgently necessary that the inner being of men be roused to the highest awakening

It is not only a call to man from without, but it is to be the voice of the inward instinct of self-preservation, to gain for himself the promise of the continuance of his spiritual existence in the work of Creation

For this all the effort in man is to be exerted

The spiritual spark in the inner being of a great part of earthmen cries desperately for help, that it may be permitted to remain conscious in God's work of Creation

To this cry it is driven by the presentiment of the pressure from the Light, which in this part of the universe too increases with every day, in order to bring purification from all the evil which has clung to everything that came under the influence of the Luciferian principle of temptation

It requires a really strong tearing away from the adhesive stickiness of what is regarded as the social events of mankind

Only in a complete awakening of the spirit lies the ability to separate oneself inwardly from all this and to set out upon the path of inner and outer harmony

The awakening needs to be complete and must strongly penetrate all the planes of the sheaths which serve the spiritual spark as mantles of the individual substances woven from parts of the Subsequent Creation

The animistic covering of the spark, the soul body and the astral body, need to be made whole and healed of their long-standing wounds, which were formed by the wrong use of the free will of the spirit

Therefore the becoming luminous of the intuitive perceiving is spoken of as the strongest proof of the awakening of the inner being, for the intuitive perceiving penetrates all the degrees of the coverings of the spirit

The becoming luminous of the intuitive perceiving is the only way which makes this possible

That person who carries the change only in repeated and unfulfilled thoughts is still far too weak to free himself

His intuition does not glow through the sheaths of the spirit sufficiently for an enthusiastic assent to a life filled with harmony, which is independent of what takes place in the outward happening, to penetrate these too

In reality there remains in him a motionless faintness of the soul, and thereby he remains unfree

As one unfree he can then see nothing of what lies close about him and bears constant witness to the working of the Power of God in Creation

Where, for example, there still dwells in a man an incapacity for the joyful perceiving of the creative work of the animistic, there it is only a matter of a weak stirring, which is not a sufficient awakening going strongly from the inner being outwards

With its life-giving power the world of the animistic rouses, bearing within itself a call to man:

“Awaken within yourself, human spirit, and each day anew undertake here in the materialities the striving to attain the highest movement upon your path to the Light, for only thus will you find strength within yourself and will then be able to attract the homogeneous strengthening current flowing from the Power of God!”

Where a soul is drowning in its past faults in the notion that someone will come from without and change everything for it, there the ray of the Light has not penetrated with sufficient power for the spiritual spark to blaze up strongly and through intuitive perceiving to change everything for the better

Only there, where men honestly exert themselves for the improvement of their life, can help from the Light come to meet them

Therefore away with all dreaming and imagining that life will change for the better without man's own doing

To read, and perhaps from time to time to speak about spiritual things, does not suffice, for the term granted for it has run out

Every hesitation in this is regarded from the Light as a failing, if the volition of the spirit does not genuinely penetrate all the planes of man's consciousness

Now there is the time which demands proofs from everyone who longs to become, truly inwardly and outwardly, a new human being of the spiritual kind

They are the proofs of the liveliness of the spirit

The proofs need to be laid before Imanuel as the Judge sent by God the Father, ever anew, every day in all the experiencing into which the human spirit is led by the threads of the weavers of fate

That alone is the right attestation for all distinguishing of the living spirit from those who do not wish to adapt themselves to it in their free will and thereby count as inwardly grown faint

In everything there is to be found the highest movement, leading to the untiring search for right action in the decisions of the human spirit

This means going into the greatest depth of one's intuitive perception, so that it may be able to find answers to all the questions which are set before him through the choice of the direction he is to take in the moment of all the decisions of fate before which he is placed and will yet further be placed

Spiritual awakening is very far removed from all today's superficiality in the conduct of men

It leads man to recognise and to accept an entirely different kind of thinking from that with which the majority of mankind occupies itself

The centre of everything is not the material world with its numerous attendant manifestations of a social kind which chiefly move the majority of mankind, but it is precisely the Divine Spirit of Christ and the Holy Spirit Imanuel, Who now require that men occupy themselves with Them in the strongest manner of their intuitive perceiving

At the turning point of history, when for a great number of human spirits there comes a change from their former wrong wandering to a new and right direction, which may be called the great spiritual enlightenment, proofs of his inward preparedness for this so important time on Earth are now demanded of every single human spirit

And for the confirmation of this preparedness proofs are therefore to be furnished by every person individually, that he recognises it and is prepared, so that the helping hands from the Light which every one of men urgently needs may also be extended to him, that he may ascend upwards to the gates of the spiritual home

Although he is still incarnated upon this Earth and his earthly covering wanders here among other people in the experiencing of everyday life, his inner being made luminous is to demonstrate its fitness, that in its maturity it is ready to pass through the gates into the spiritual home, into Paradise

The time in which we now find ourselves demands proofs of the inner movement of the spiritual spark

Such a thing cannot be done without its manifesting itself visibly outwards as a form of mature humanity in the thinking and acting of a man

And because men still hesitate in this, there will now come from the Light, in an influx of new power, an emphasis upon this movement of the spirit through the working of the animistic servants

The Festival of the Outpouring of the Power of the Holy Spirit will now, this year and thereafter in every further year, bring this Power of a heightened kind

In consequence it will also flow into the happening of nature, which will show itself in accelerated events that will take an unprecedented form

Perhaps it will yet shake many a person in his inner being

No one, however, should wait for the moment when it reaches its gross material manifestation, for at that moment it will no longer be possible for men to awaken to a maturity sufficient to be applied in their consciousness at every moment through a strong intuitive perception

For any change there will then already be too little time, for everything will have a swift succession of events

No one should therefore look towards the coming events with the expectation that only the visible happenings will be a reason for him to change

It is best to begin furnishing the Vaenen, as the weavers of the threads of fate, with proofs of one's striving to ascend to the Light from this moment on

Every thread woven in this kind of inward striving of a man now has, for the preservation of the human spirit, a value of the most precious kind

Therefore all attention should be concentrated upon the awakening of the inward spark

This, however, happens through the living receptivity of the intuitive vibration in a man

Whoever today is still not able to do this should turn wholly to a new manner of life in which the first place belongs to the co-creating of the purest degree of harmony that can be attained upon this Earth

No one will be able to take another's place in this

Even at the price of hard experiencing, every person is now to learn to bring this into life solely and only for himself

Only then will a hand of help from the Light be able to be extended to him in his spiritual awakening

To whom this will be granted cannot yet be determined now, for first it is necessary to furnish proofs that a man's spiritual awakening is genuine and persevering

And as was already pointed out at the beginning, the proofs of the awakening of the spirit lie only in such a manner of life in which one strives for the fulfilment of the beatitudes given by Jesus

Their understanding is made possible to every human spirit

Therefore no one can say that he does not know how he is to live

Everyone can recognise it with ease, if only he gives room within himself for his intuitive perception to assert itself
