Just as not long ago the Workshop Efemeridis presented “The Drink for the Root Goblins”, which only in the future will bring to men a revolutionary knowledge in the cooperation with the small animistic servants here on earth, so today it is possible to speak here of a new gift from the exalted Siphe, which is intended for the flower elves
This drink is intended for use everywhere where a sufficiency of buds can form, in which the little flower elves are born
The drink is therefore given for places where enough flowering plants are to be found and where the relation of men to these flowers is warm and kindly
Such places we shall not find everywhere in the nature of today, rather it may be said that in the nearness of men there are at the present time only very few of them
Flowers which can hold within them the germs of the little flower elves have a special kind of radiation which needs a heightened protection on the part of the motherly animistic servants who tend the developing elf children
Such a plant is then surrounded by that special radiation of a protecting kind, which among other things makes the plant strikingly beautiful
We may say that the little elves are born in the flower buds of those plants which from the standpoint of animistic radiation are flawless, that is, animistically perfect
This naturally shows itself also in the outward gross material appearance of the plant, which often works upon man too in a strangely moving way
The actual animistic radiation, however, is of a delicate kind, and therefore for the most part escapes the eye of the materially minded man of today
There are but few men who perceive something of it and who can rejoice in this degree of animistic beauty, which gives to nature yet another dimension
Happy are these men, who either see it or are at least able to sense it with their inner being
For them nature is filled with yet another kind of life than it is for the greater part of the society of today's earthmen
The fact that there are as yet few who are thus receptive makes it possible for the hitherto rough approach of men to nature to persist, who see in it chiefly a source of energy and of gifts for their own designs
This is then the reason why men do not behave rightly enough towards such flowers or towards places where there are blossoms with the little flower children of the elves, and why the delicate elves therefore most often avoid such regions altogether
They keep a great distance from such places, of which they know that the approach of the people there is harmful to them in its disturbing interference with the world of nature
Human interference with nature, or indeed even the merely commonplace, earthbound thoughts of men, are disturbing to that peace-filled joy which is the condition for the development of the little elf children within the buds
Alas we men see almost nothing of it
It is however possible to learn to recognise and to perceive this special delicate radiation which lies in the busy activity of the elves
It is indeed simpler and easier than those men of today who know a little about the flower elves suppose
A certain practice of the eye suffices for it, and man gradually begins to recognise the difference between blossoms which serve only for pollination by insects, for seed or for the nourishment of animals, and those special blossoms which are intended for the little elf children
The difference lies in a movingly joyful radiance which always hovers above the blossom and which also penetrates into the material appearance of the blossom, which is then always remarkable in its distinctiveness and at the same time in its perfect fresh beauty
That perfection and fresh beauty of the blossom is an important mark of recognition, for such a blossom, where a little elf dwells, is never attacked by pests nor by diseases, and throughout the whole of its time from bud until full bloom it is given up neither as food for the inhabitants of the insect or animal world nor to any other use
We may also observe that such a blossom “moves” more than the other blossoms, that is, it directs its movement strikingly after the rays of the sun, in order to draw in as much as possible of the life-giving light out of the radiation of Apollo
This therefore holds good not only of the blossom of the sunflower, but the greater part of the blossoms in which flower elves are to be born undergoes this distinct movement of turning after the solar disc of Apollo
At the same time man may cautiously prove that such blossoms are more fragrant, because they send forth from themselves into the space bright, even enchanting kinds of essential oils
If man will strive to recognise these marks, his eye will gradually open to the receptivity of further degrees and he will behold the said radiance which hovers above such blossoms bearing the germs of the elf children
He will also come to recognise that around such places there prevails from daybreak until late into the night an atmosphere of special care of a motherly and protective kind
All this is accompanied by a happy, animistically joyful activity which hovers in such places of elfin working
Gardens and places where this working is not present may then a hundred times over appear outwardly in the perfection of the human gardener's hand, yet the pulsating life of the animistic will never be sufficiently present in them, because it needs a certain kind of attunement
Gardens, orchards and fields for which the conditions for the nearness of the animistic servants have not been created then draw for their development only that radiation which hovers above the landscape as the basic principle of the working of the animistic
In this principle there is contained everything needful which joins the omnipresent animistic strengthening radiation with the core of life in the seed and sets it moving towards life through the archetype which lies whole and already beforehand within the seed
The plant then grows seemingly of itself, without the necessary nearness of animistic servants, yet its growth and development we can describe only as the fulfilment of the most elementary task of animistic activity here on earth
In spite of a certain beauty and usefulness which such plants draw from the message laid within the seed, which is quickened by the omnipresent principle of animistic weaving, these plants remain impoverished of a very important and needful kind of radiation, which can unite with a plant only when in its immediate nearness there is small animistic life working happily, that is, the goblins in the soil themselves, or precisely the flower elves here spoken of by us, or yet for example many further forms of the animistic elementals
Such plants, where the direct nearness of the care of some animistic being is lacking, have fewer juices, are more prone to sickness, and are wont to be marked out by the animistic ones in the landscape as suitable for insects, fungi, moulds and the like, for in them the actual animistic vibration of the life of the elves is not present
Such plants also have by far not so much healing power as those herbs which are directly tended by the small animistic ones
The strongest healing power is possessed by those blossoms, roots and other parts of plants in whose nearness the busy activity of the animistic prevailed, and above all where at least close by new little elves of the blossoms were permitted to develop and to be born
It is because in such a place older and wise elves work at the same time, and higher exalted animistic servants also often appear there in order to initiate the young elves into the most right tending of the blossoms there and of the whole plants
The wise herbalists of earlier times knew all this, and therefore they let themselves be led by their inner voice to the places where the herbs had the most power, through the presence of the youthful animistic servants
The same holds good also of the power of vegetables and fruit, which either proceeds only from the basic principle of animistic weaving and thereby holds within itself but little healing power, or else is directly bound up with the working of the busy joyful life of certain beings, and such fruits hold within themselves many times more life-giving and healing powers
All this was known to the men of old who maintained their connection with the wise forces of the animistic servants in nature
This ancient knowledge can be awakened again in man, if only he truly and purely longs for such an approach to the world of nature
And it is precisely “The Drink for the Flower Elves” and also “The Drink for the Root Goblins” that forms one of the many possible connections in the working of the small animistic servants in the nearness of men, for our radiation is to become the confirmation of man's readiness for cooperation with the animistic elves and the earth goblins
It is an opportunity for the forming of a connecting radiation between the world of human spirits and the animistic, with which today there still prevails a justified great mistrust towards the whole human world
Rather than of mistrust it is possible to speak of an abyss which is opened between these two worlds, in that men have wrought and still today wreak upon earth all manner of things in order to fetter the world of the animistic and to rob it of its freedom for their own selfish needs and aims
The fettering lies in the intellectual observing of the conditions for the cultivation of plants, and this knowledge is then gravely misused by man against the work of the animistic in that the observed principles are enforced by man upon the animistic so that it must follow the human wish in the demand for the result and the yield of the plants in nature
This manner called forth in the animistic world pain on the one side and defiance on the other
Wherever the animistic recognises in the radiation around it the “human taint” of human presence, there everything delicate and fragile flees away from such a place into seclusion
Therefore we may speak of an abyss which of all times is today the most widely opened between the intellectual striving of men in nature in relation to plants and the actual animistic tending of such plants
On the part of the animistic there is fulfilled under this pressure of the human will only the elementary, only the most necessary which it must fulfil with such plants
From the standpoint of the blessed radiation of the animistic servants such plants may be called inwardly lifeless
Where man forces his ways upon the animistic by seeking to subdue it, there the appearance of the plants and the basic kind of form indeed remains the same, because that is contained in the mission of the seed, but in reality these plants are without the inner animistic blessing which can enter into them only through the joy of the animistic servants
And everyone will easily grasp that the taking away of freedom, indeed a directly imposed will causing slavery, gives but very little cause for joy
In the end every man can picture it to himself in his own person, how he would work in the place of the animistic servants
For everywhere that man too works under compulsion without a single gleam of cordiality and kindliness, there he himself also begins after a time to render of his work only the most necessary, because his work must needs lack joy and the ardour of enthusiasm
Wherever tyranny works from the one side, there enthusiasm and the will for the common cause gradually vanish also from the other side
This men know from many personal experiences and also from various periods of human history
In those periods when men suffered under the pressure of the will of stronger strangers, it was precisely the works which the subjugated men created that bore witness through their radiation to the suffering which clung to them and which clings to them still today
Many an outwardly magnificent work of art of human history is in its delicate radiation woven about with the pain and the oppression which accompanied its arising
And conversely, works which arose in joy, in willingness, in thankfulness and in creative sweep bear a radiation of a brighter kind, which issues forth from such works of art and buildings
As it was with subjugated, enslaved men, so is it in exactly the same way also with the small animistic servants, who alas continually endure human tyranny in the mastering of nature through an intellectual, profit-seeking approach
Thus has it been in the last millennia, and alas it may be said that up to now this comes to pass ever more strongly
Therefore it is possible to speak of a gaping abyss between two worlds which in reality were meant to be one world, a world filled with cooperation and with the joyful complementing of animistic and spiritual weaving
The Drink for the Flower Elves is one of the many steps which are needed for the renewed drawing together of the said two worlds of men and of the animistic servants
Therefore also in the preparation of the drink for the flower elves, just as in the case of the drink for the root goblins, the most important thing is the attunement of the man who prepares the drink
It may be said that that attunement of man is the greatest condition of success for the acceptance of the drink on the part of the small animistic servants
For that reason there will also be spoken yet more in separate texts of the conditions of attunement which should prevail in the place of preparation, and this in such a way that such attunement needs first and foremost to be born in the inner being and in the thoughts of the man who prepares the drink
The drinks are no fertiliser nor any strengthener of the growth of plants, but they are the bearer of that radiation which is to hold within it the hand extended for cooperation between the humanly spiritual and the animistic world here on earth
Where a man should think that he can bypass his own attunement by procuring such a drink from someone else and merely introducing it mechanically into the soil or upon the plants, he remains still in that approach which may be called intellectual and which will also beyond doubt lower or wholly destroy the value of the drinks, however exactly these may otherwise have been made by another according to the instructions for their preparation
It is neither the making of a fertiliser for plants nor any alchemy, but only the simple fulfilment of the steps handed down by the animistic servants, in which there works the substance thus arisen, which is best able to receive and to pass on that attunement of man which must unconditionally be present therein, so that it may be handed on as a hand extended for cooperation
Therefore let this attunement be called to mind once more, which needs to hold within it on the part of man a true, in no way distorted knowledge of the animistic servants, and at the same time there is to be shown on the part of man loving-kindness, reverence and thanks for that admirable work which the animistic ones perform for the successful, fully valuable result of beauty and usefulness in the whole manifold world of plants, which for man is almost beyond all compass
Now a few words upon the actual recipe for the preparation of “The Drink for the Flower Elves”
It is a different procedure from that which is known as “The Drink for the Root Goblins”
“The Drink for the Flower Elves” is also not intended for the watering of the soil around the plants, as is the case with “The Drink for the Root Goblins”
Its use lies in the spraying of it at the hour of early evening in the places where we long to bestow this prepared drink upon the flower elves
The drink may also be poured into a glass bowl upon a stem, which at the time of a summer evening we set in a quiet place where flowers grow and shrubs are in bloom
The drink is diluted with water in a special proportion, so that it carries only a small quantity of its base, for to the flower elves the most important thing is the radiation of the drink which reaches them
At present the Workshop Efemeridis is preparing a detailed list of what is needed for the preparation, and work is also being done upon a detailed pictorial description of the individual steps of the actual procedure of making the drink
The procedure of preparing “The Drink for the Flower Elves” is somewhat more demanding than the preparation of “The Drink for the Root Goblins” requires, and therefore the Workshop Efemeridis devotes the highest care to the recipe in the description of the important procedures
When this recipe is ready to be passed on further, all who are interested will easily find it in a separate part of the Common Space
We trust that this will be able to be so before long
For the present we call upon all those who long to seek the connection with the world of the animistic servants to strive for the attunement of their inner being in joyful uniting with this glorious kind of small servants of the Father of all
Whoever opens himself rightly may in the near future experience the wonder of a true connection with the vibration of nature, in which it weaves continually and joyfully and works in the most sacred fulfilment of the tasks which make the world of nature a place of refreshing beauty
For the eyes of such an open man nature will become a place which he will be able to call home, in which there work friends whose skills are for us a lasting cause for reverent admiration
It is also very good that many men already do so and penetrate with their inner being to the vibrations which pervade the world of nature like thousands of shimmering little lights of precious stones
May there be as many such receptive men as possible
