The Preciousness of the Gift of Life in the Present Time On Earth

There is nothing with which the spirit of man could repay the graciousness of the rare gift from God that precisely in the present time he is permitted to live on this Earth

In the time to come this will be held an extraordinary value, offered out of the Light to all those who were permitted to use this gift for their accelerated spiritual ascent, and who were therefore enabled to incarnate on this Earth precisely in the time of the great transformations

We speak here of those who in their ripening have become more inwardly advanced and thereby more conscious, not of those who are drawn to the Earth out of her near surroundings through the ever-working Law of Homogeneity

Great hosts of such more advanced souls entreated for the possibility of incarnation on Earth at this time already centuries ago, for at that time, with their inner vision, they better recognised the great grace contained therein for them

In earlier experiencings they had become more conscious through the strong experiences of that time, and thereby their cleaving to the Light was more strengthened

Their longing formed itself into a great entreaty to God that they might be permitted to incarnate and, in the accelerated happening, to complete their inner development by the spirit holding in full wakefulness to the knowledge of the Truth and carrying this knowledge fully over into his life as a living fulfilment of prayer to the Creator

Thereby the grace also comes to the spirit, in such striving, to lay aside swiftly and also completely, in symbolic experiencing, all that still bound him out of the past to the gross material places of the Subsequent Creation

This grace became fulfilment for a not large number of souls inwardly best prepared for it

The number of these souls runs into millions

In proportion to the total number of souls bound to the world-part Ephesus it is however only a small number, because such a thing is not possible for every spiritual stage of development, for the preparation of the paths for the incarnation of a soul on Earth usually has many given conditions, and the Alphar, as the weavers of the threads, are always guided therein most consistently by the Justice of God

The more previous incarnations a spirit has already experienced on his paths, the more carefully must the threads be prepared for his path which lead him to the possibility of atoning for his earlier failings, so that he may ascend freely towards the Light

For that reason it is not so easy a happening for a more luminous soul to return to the Earth for a further birth

It often takes a long time before everything can again be made ready in the highest wisdom for the incarnation of such a more luminous and thereby more sensitive soul

At the same time, however, there holds the possibility that the spirit may for himself voluntarily accept the conditions which as a rule accompany his path through life in the form of earthly difficulties, which however at the time of his entreaty he accepts entirely consciously as part of the gracious possibility of ascent

Thereby the conditions for the incarnation can then be other than the Justice of God would appoint in its consistency, and not seldom this brings precisely a certain hardening of the earthly paths, for in the preparation of the starting conditions not everything is taken into account which would otherwise be taken into account if the spirit were to go along ideal paths in the earthly world too

In the accelerated weaving of the threads for the incarnation the Alphar seek a path that makes the coming of the soul possible

The incarnation can then be brought about more directly, for many otherwise important conditions are excluded

Conditions which would take into account, for instance, more ideal bodily, family or educational starting conditions become secondary for a path to incarnation thus entreated by the soul

All this, however, comes about only from a certain degree of the spirit's maturity, because it requires a subsequent understanding also during the earthly life itself, for it is known that just before the incarnation a bandage of forgetting is always laid upon the spirit's sight

The new-born spirit, already wholly united with the gross material body, needs then all the more strongly to let himself be led by the inner longing for the Light and for the Truth, which alone can bring him to the knowledge and the understanding of the true meaning of his earthly life

The more strongly that inner longing to find the answers burns within him, the more swiftly can the helpers lead him here on Earth to the finding of the Truth

This happening is the manifestation of a glorious helping guidance out of the Light for every spirit who incarnates on Earth with the conscious entreaty to advance in his ascent towards the Light

We may call it a true grace of the Love of God, for gracious it also is in every respect for the ascent of the spirit

Helps that come to meet him out of the Light also work around every such spirit from the beginning to the end of his earthly path

There are so very many helps out of the Light around every person that he cannot even imagine how these work in admirable happenings for him, so that in his ascent towards the Light he may attain all for the sake of which he came to Earth

But for the understanding of these happenings it is needful to hold firmly within oneself the knowledge of the Love of God, which accompanies the development of the human spirit in a manner whose greatness exceeds the possibility of comprehension that lies in the species of the human spirit

The human spirit needs to receive all this in a trustful surrendering of himself to the guidance of the Love of God

This requires, however, that such a state be fully experienced inwardly and preserved within oneself as an experience for all further paths through the Subsequent Creation

The bandage of forgetting, laid upon the spirit's knowing before the incarnation, can be removed precisely through the quickening of an inner trust in the Love of God, which surrounds the human spirit with helps lastingly in all the moments of his life

Not all souls, however, carry these conditions of knowledge within themselves strongly enough to be able to penetrate the bandage of forgetting to the remembrance of what was before the incarnation

Nor is it even needful, because for the human spirit the standard in life is to be, first of all, the will to pure and good intuitive perceiving, thinking and acting under all circumstances

Therein is contained everything needed for the opportunities to be brought to man in which he can atone for his earlier karmic knots, whether directly in full experiencing or in a symbolic laying aside

All this, however, requires a certain maturity and knowing for the full mastering of such an earthly path

And therefore only for a certain part of the entreating souls could their entreaties be fulfilled as a path which was then prepared for their incarnation at a certain time on Earth

The precondition for a blessed use of this grace lies in a living attitude of the spirit in the earthly body

He needs to carry within himself a never-sleeping will to know all the connections that exist for him and for the other creatures in the work of Creation

Only thus can he come to the knowledge of the Truth, which is thereafter to let full trust in the Love of God come alive within him

The knowledge of the Truth of the most complete kind that can come into the hands of developing human spirits is now upon the Earth, and for its finding it requires only one thing – a fervent, wakeful will to seek the answers to the grave questions

All else has already been arranged by the Light, for the guidance of every earnestly seeking spirit lies in the care of the kindliest helpers of the Light, so that man may be brought into the nearness of the Truth

Never before was the Truth so clearly and so comprehensively anchored on Earth within reach of so many human spirits at one and the same time

To be permitted to incarnate is an incomprehensibly great opportunity for ascent, which needs to be used

And so those souls which were being prepared to recognise the Truth through their wakefulness during the time of their earthly life were permitted, in the time now unfolding, to incarnate on Earth in certain waves

The soul coverings united with the most suitable place of earthly existence, and the whole guidance of the spiritual helpers was made ready for all the moments from the beginning to the end of the earthly path

Blessed are all these spirits who, surrounded by the gracious Love of God, can thus at this time make a great advance for the development of their inner being in the comprehending of the greatness and the glory of the work of Creation, of the diversity of its inhabitants, and above all in the recognition and the acceptance of the most Justly working living Laws which fulfil themselves through the work of the animistic servants as the fulfillers of the Will of God

By the blessed Love of God are surrounded the spirits for whom it was made possible that the threads of fate be woven for their birth upon this Earth at this time

To them came the precious gift of being permitted to be on Earth and to live in this blessed time

If they have become, or will yet become, those who have passed through this time as bestowed by the Light with the palm branch of spiritual victory, and if it was or will be made possible for them shortly thereafter to be raised into Paradise, then their radiant example will shine as the flame of a great resurrection for all the other spirits to whom in the time of their development this grace was not granted

To be permitted to be incarnated at this time on Earth and to stand victoriously in the vibrations of the fulfilling intensification of the judging Ray of Parzival, that will become, for the coming time of the new kingdom on Earth and for long into the centuries ahead, a great example for all those others to whom at just this time it is not granted to come to Earth, because they were perhaps found too unripe, too fragile and too vulnerable for the strength that is needed for their spirit to stand firm in the judgment here in gross materiality

As was mentioned, there are still great hosts which yet move through the planes of the ethereal worlds and entreat fervently that a thread be woven for them by the Light for the possibility of incarnation on Earth in this so significant time of the great transformations

Out of the ethereal worlds the present time on Earth is perceived very attentively as an opportunity for a great turn on the path of the spirit, and also for the hitherto impossible possibility of completing the ascent right up to the entering into the spiritual home in the course of a single life

The Holy Judgment of God, which in the ethereal planes has already come, still leads many souls to the need of swiftly laying aside the threads bound up with the gross material spheres of the Subsequent Creation

Many a soul, indeed almost every soul, needs to repay something of its debts in order to advance upwards to the home in the Light

There is still much to be repaid in the fate of the souls who realise how their past wandering in gross material incarnations has fettered them through the deeds they wrought upon their fellow men

In a quieter flowing of time many debts would have sufficed for many lives

But in the present time of great changes, in the influx of the Power of God, it is possible to advance more swiftly and, thanks to the highest striving of pure volition, to lay all aside in symbolic experiencing within one single gross material life

It is truly a gift equalled by nothing, to be permitted to be on this Earth now

The gift lies in the incarnation itself in this time of great ferment and ripening among the other men on Earth

But so that a soul incarnated for this purpose may not in the end become still more entangled during its earthly existence, it needs to find swiftly a support for its path, lying in the knowledge of the Truth, and then it needs also to work this knowledge fully into the everyday life of its existence

If the soul came to Earth for the sake of that and does not make it the chief foundation of its life, then it cannot be called a fully worthy and, above all, a rightly used receiving of the gift of God which lies in the possibility of incarnating on this Earth today

Upon the Earth there shines the Truth brought by Parzival Himself out of the Divine, and together with it a perfectly complete knowledge of all the planes of the work of Creation, such as was never here before

Nor were there ever so many helps out of the Light as now surround the earthly world, so that to all who prove inner liveliness within themselves it may be made possible to begin with the ascent of the spirit

Let us recall again, however, that the mentioned complete ascent into the Light can be accomplished only if the spirit lays out all his forces with earnestness and sincerity for his purification and for his liberation from the threads which hitherto bound him to places in the Subsequent Creation and thereby made it impossible for him to rise higher towards the Light

If the allotted time on this Earth is fully used by him for the whitening of his raiment, and if he strives fervently to become reborn from the ground up in the experiencing of life, then all this striving is supported by the helpers of the Light in the most glorious and also the most effective manner it is possible to grant a spirit on his path towards the Light

The condition for the human spirit to be raised from this Earth into the Light after the laying aside of the earthly body is that he stand as one lastingly in harmony with the great harmony of the work of Creation

To stand firm and to keep the flame of the spirit within oneself in sure and full harmony with the Laws of God working in the work of Creation requires the realising of the great blessing which this time on Earth affords to man

Never was so much given to the human spirit out of the wellspring of knowledge at one single time in one single place in the part Ephesus as now in this significant time of the working of the Word of Truth on Earth, when, in the fulfilling of all the promises of the Light, forces and streams of a high kind of radiation descend at the same time into the universe out of the heights of Creation, and out of Valhalla too there flows strengthening for all the animistic for the bringing about of the upheaving changes

The Earth now finds herself at the centre of mighty forces which converge at God's bidding upon a single point for the strengthening of all that bears within itself a pure striving towards the Light

This point is precisely the Earth with all that she offers, as the best prepared ground for ascent

Only one thing is needful – to use wholly this bestowed time of earthly incarnation for the highest work of the spirit

For the human spirit there lies in this above all the necessary beginning of the path – the time of awakening

To awaken inwardly in the perceiving through intuition and to seek the answers to the grave questions

All else has been made ready for him in an admirable manner so that the victory of the spirit may become something self-evident

If there is living perseverance in the spirit, then it cannot be otherwise than that every day he advances a stretch further on his path towards the Light

Every day will thus be able to be experienced as a precious gift of time which has again and again raised the spirit higher

Yet in the comprehending of the connections set out above, the strangest thing is that many souls thus gifted and favoured with grace see in this time of their earthly incarnation on Earth not a rare opportunity but on the contrary only a reason for complaints and for grievances about all the surrounding hostilities, which close in around them and deliberately lay ever increasing demands upon their inner peacefulness and peace

It is part of the true ascent, which for the human spirit lies in the fulfilment of the highest gentleness and kindliness springing from a pure spiritual love for Creation and for the whole work of Creation

That is the crown which needs to be joined with knowing and to make of it a degree of true enlightenment

On the contrary, however, many a one is greatly agitated by it, because he wrongly expected that his path would be levelled and smoothed for him by the present ferment of the judgment like a calm, gentle current that is to carry the ship of his life

This present time, however, is not appointed for a calm flowing onwards, but is precisely a period of accelerated current, much as when the quiet current of a river passes all at once through a narrowed bed between mighty rocks

The rocks have closed upon it and forced it to quicken

They have also driven the flow, hitherto long quietly moving, into rapids

Such is the happening on this Earth now, and every single person needs to pass through it victoriously if he wishes to stand firm for his further path of development towards the Light

This state is what is desired and is also the only thing that can open the way into the heights of the Light

But many of the incarnated struggle with difficulties which they themselves have called down upon themselves through their unwakefulness and also through their long-past deeds in lives which they no longer remember

That it is therefore possible for a person to be oppressed and troubled comes about only because he himself has called many of these hostilities to himself through his homogeneity or through a temporary unwakefulness

But hardly any of these men, agitated by their earthly existence, will admit that to themselves

All this is only a sign that these men have not ripened to the degree of a complete understanding of the Beatitudes bestowed by Jesus, and that they remain stuck in the sad captivity of the thought-attitude of today's discontented world of men

Although this was for them beforehand a strong reason to incarnate and, in enlightenment, to come to terms with it all, to turn round the light of their perceiving of the world and thus make it possible that the crown of victory be bestowed upon them in the end, in their present attitude it becomes bitterly hard for them, indeed for most of them almost impossible, in their walking forward through everyday life

The great bestowal of knowing remains unused with most of the spirits thus favoured with grace

Often it even becomes a reason for a zealous endeavour to see in the surrounding world nothing but cause for discontent

And also for anger towards other people and towards the whole earthly world, in a certain haughty looking down upon it in the possession of their knowledge of the Truth

It is however only a mark of pettiness and of the evident unripeness of a spirit who still has not grasped the content of the concept of the Love of God in that furthering effect which is to be exercised by the human spiritual species

It is still a walking on false paths, even though the Word of Truth was permitted to come into man's hands

Whoever still carries within himself a reason for anger at the present world has not yet grasped why he is on this Earth

Thereby he could also of necessity neither grasp nor recognise the greatness of Jesus' words, which lead the human spirit to the glowing through of his flame to the highest degree of the pure joy of thanks out of the knowledge of the whole of the work of Creation

Men who know are to glorify the Creator and His work, and not to run to Him with grievances and complaints about their fellow men

Knowing without the glowing through of the flame of the spirit by an inner readiness that issues out of the peacefulness and the peace of the inner being then becomes, in its use, a caricature of the true working of the human spirit

To the helpers out of the Light it appears only as a sign of the lasting unripeness of a spirit for the desired high degree of a pure and mature, strong connection with the Light

This needs now to be changed, for it is a great hindrance on the way to the accepting of all the threads which are to be lived out and thereby laid aside

The great reminder of the preciousness of the gift of life holds for all those who were permitted to be born on Earth and were also brought to the knowledge of the Truth

Let every moment of the present be experienced wholly in conscious thanks for the grace of the fulfilment of the entreaties to be permitted to be on Earth at this time
