The Necessity of Readiness
THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – October 17, 2022

There is no higher requirement in all the planes of Subsequent Creation than that which is bound up with the inner spiritual vigilance of man
It is so because in this spiritual vigilance there is contained for every human being all that he needs so that he may then pass through life always rightly and in accord with that great harmony which out of the unsubstantiate divine eternity emerges into the whole work of Creation as the expression of the all-wisdom of the Will of God
Whoever therefore takes care to unfold spiritual vigilance within himself holds in himself that most precious equipment for all the events which now in intensified measure draw near to this Earth also
Thereby the ways stand open to him for every connection with the happening that is bound up with him, however much it is in part not visible to earthly sight
To this belongs also the whole present working of the High animistic servants of Valhalla
In the nearness of the Earth there is at this very time a multitude of High animistic servants from the halls of Valhalla who under other circumstances have in their mission no cause to come so entirely close to gross materiality
Their nearness, however, is given by the extraordinary nature of the happenings which are a part of the fulfilment of the individual portions of the Judgment of God upon mankind on this Earth
At this time, therefore, this small planet is surrounded by a radiation and by a working such as has never before been here in such measure
What is contained therein and how it manifests itself can be observed by everyone, if only he wishes to observe it
There are manifestations enough which make it known that the working which bears within it the upheaving events of the culminating transition into the new age on Earth is here at this very moment
The pressure and the tension in all happening grows unceasingly, and thereby all that has hitherto remained invisible is driven to the necessary outward manifestation
So it is with all animistic working, and just so with human beings also
It has been written more than once on the Way of the Grail that we stand in a time in which, under the pressure, the further life on Earth will unfold quite otherwise than hitherto
And this rebirth will be accompanied by manifestations which for most people may be counted as hitherto barely conceivable
Better still, however, one may say wholly inconceivable
Inconceivable because that which comes is for the earthly world something entirely unknown in the ways and the manifestations through which it comes
The greatest part of all the animistic working which will now in a fundamental way affect life on Earth lies in the activity of the unconsciously animistic kind
This kind is still ungraspable in its work for most people, and this because people cannot picture to themselves where and how deeply into the human world
its activity penetrates
And it influences them far more than people have always supposed until now
The unconsciously animistic is an inseparable part of every human body, it affects that body's own harmony and thereby all that is needed for one to be able to speak of the health or, conversely, of the sickness of the earthly body
In its own way the unconsciously animistic shares in the governing of the human body for the maintaining of its liveliness and of a healthy mobility in every direction, so that this may ideally serve the human spirit as an outer gross material garment
That the unconsciously animistic stands in so close a union with the human earthly body is as yet almost wholly unknown
And it is precisely this kind of animistic working that now holds in its hands the greatest events which lie before mankind
It will come, however, in the time approaching, in various places and in manifold forms
However much it is still only drawing near to breaking through into the degree perceptible to earthly senses, we can already say now that the time is here in which everything will become manifest
But in this too there are again many false notions as to how this is to be fulfilled and how it is to work in the lives of men
Although it is an entirely simple happening, there remains in it for mankind much lack of understanding, and still more questions
To become manifest means, after all, to come to the surface, and thus to be fulfilled as an expression which in principle accords with that which lies beyond the border of the earthly visible
In this, however, lies also all that this manifestness, under the guidance of the weavers of the threads, the Alphar, has a great multitude of forms and happenings at its disposal
For this to be observable for earthly man it is needful that he strive to draw near to it through his own inner liveliness in intuitive perceiving
It means that the manifestness is already here in many expressions, yet the general dullness of mankind is for the most part not able to observe and to recognise from it how it is connected with that invisible happening
Nevertheless there is here a clear guide, and it lies in the principle
For the principle it is not decisive whether the expression is a great one or only a small one, or even only symbolically fulfilled
For the Light, and thus also for the effects of the Judgment of God upon men, there is no difference between a small lie and a great lie, between a small and a great hatred, between a small and a great selfishness, between a shadow of vanity and a vanity visible to the whole world, and much else besides which now shows itself so that it may at once be woven into the threads of the fate of men as the decisive piece for their further spiritual direction, whether on the ground of the visible expression this leads upwards or downwards
That something is manifest does not mean that it must become permanently legible for human perception
Often this manifest proving of the inner state is only a brief flash in the acting and the deciding of a man
Yet it is already manifest for the eye of a good observer, who through his inner receptivity can see in it the further course of the development which will follow
To this men can develop themselves through their inner vigilant receptivity, so as to become thereby easily discerning of what is taking place in this or that action and happening on Earth
The supposed confusion and obscurity in this recognising prevail only through the influence of intellectual comprehension, which in everything seeks the wrong, the intricate and such winding ways instead of straight ones
Thus it is that today the social lying among men is held to be diplomacy, to be a way of attaining something which from its very beginning unfolds out of a wrong foundation
This diplomacy and the so-called diplomatic dealing, although in more than half of all cases it is founded upon a lie, sounds lofty to the human ear and at the same time gives to an otherwise quite evident lying a form which is acknowledged by men as the mark of a certain mastery in speaking, in thinking and in dealing with one another
Although it is often from the very ground a lie visible to well-nigh everyone, mankind in a peculiar way assumes that benefit and ascent will arise out of it as the result
Such a thing, however, stands sharply against the Laws of Creation, upon whose effects every intentional lie, even the smallest, must strike heavily
Why is it that men will not see this
It is after all so clear and literally glaring, whenever it becomes visible and audible
And this indeed is that manifestness which stands therein and calls to men that they may grasp that this is a false way which can never lead to upbuilding and to peace among men
It is also enough, surely, to see how everything that still upholds the foundations of a pure and crystal-clear happening is called into question among men, how an endeavour is made to shake it, indeed to turn it into its opposite
All this is the manifest expression of the summit of the rule of the Antichrist, working in man through the intellect, which thus fulfils to the letter that announcement of the Revelation of John, that close before the conclusion of the Judgment of God he will raise his head to his highest working among men
That which strives to go against the natural course of the happenings in nature and in the human disposition is indeed the expression of a rebellion against the very essence of the Laws of Creation, and thus against the Will of God
Everywhere that ways are sought by the intellect to outwit the original principles in the manifestations of nature, there one may now look for the ground of the counterblow which will come from the animistic servants as the necessary expression of the pressure of their power, which in their activity they pour into the fulfilment of the Will of God
And of these places, where the intellectual working of today's man goes against the Laws of Creation and against the Will of God which brings harmony, there are more than of those places where this is not so
But it is visible and perceptible only to those who have become inwardly living in the holding of a healthy intuitive perceiving within themselves
For all the others there prevails in it only obscurity and confusion, for the multitude of happenings takes away the capacity to occupy oneself more earnestly with this or with that
Nor is it to be so that man occupies himself with absolutely everything which the world brings in today's accelerated course
None of this is needful, for the main centre of gravity of the liberating starting-point lies in the holding of the Truth through the living intuitive perceiving of one's inner being
Man does not need to examine every daily report down to its last particle in order to recognise that the world of men today is in general for the greater part permeated with lying and with opposition to the natural and pure ordering of the Harmony of the Laws of Creation, which expresses itself always truthfully and creatively in a lasting prospect, for it bears within it the foundation of all Creative blessing
It suffices him only to follow the principles working therein, and his spirit can quickly find its way in much
Not perhaps because he would know the details, but because in everything the Laws of Creation prevail as the fundamental rule
These can never be circumvented, nor is it possible to bend them in their consequence for the needs of human wishes
Towards everything therefore that reaches man it is always possible to take a stand on the ground of these principles of the Laws of Creation
If man occupies himself with this in the inner mobility of the spirit, then he easily finds his way in much that has hitherto remained opaque to him
Where man is not sure of himself, however, there he always has the possibility of saying that in the given matter he does not know
If he then holds all the more to those firm places of which he is convinced that they hold good with a lasting effect, because they are upheld by the Laws of Creation, then he will never be left without help and in ignorance
On the contrary, a knowledge of higher reach will be able to be given him which will lead him above this world, and the judgments derived from it will then hold good not only for this small earthly world but will be valid for all parts of the work of Creation
Everything will become more transparent and clear without the need to devote precious earthly time to occupying oneself with the thousands of words which men have heaped up around this or that matter
Where in spite of this man will not know how things stand, there he should ask for help from his spiritual guides, so that he may see precisely through that particular helper from a higher degree of knowledge, sent to him by the Light, who in the given matter can help him to sharpen the receptivity of his intuitive perception
And if even then he has no clarity as to where the effects of the Will of God lead through the Laws of Creation, there he should hold to that procedure which alone is right, and that is to refrain from intellectual conclusions and inwardly to accept that in the given matter he does not know how it all is
This is many times more precious than to create for oneself and for others the impression of knowledge in some matter and thereby to move only upon the ground of conjecture, which then, only a step further on, very easily becomes conscious lying, and this only so that a man may pass for one who is knowing in some matter
Where there are mere conjectures, there also are the germs of lies which, driven by human vanity, quickly run riot and seize a wide space of thought
In this a great warning is to hold good for every man at this time, for all of it is connected with that promise that everything will become manifest
It is so because the volition of intentional lying now becomes, through its radiation, the anchorage for the working of precisely that seemingly invisible operation of the unconsciously animistic kind
Where the ground is prepared for this, which is happening through the very opposition to harmony by means of the disintegrating evil of lies on Earth, there this ground in man will now be effectively struck by the work of the unconsciously animistic
The threads of the Alphar are so set that this shows itself ever more plainly
How this will come about it is not fitting to describe here, because it would give cause for many pictures drawn only out of that with which the intellect works
People would relate it to other people of whom they are convinced that it is they who lie and that therefore it should first become manifest in them
But so it is not to be, because it is a matter of a far wiser weaving than human thinking can encompass
One thing, however, may be said with certainty – it will come in every respect
It makes no difference whether the conscious lie is a great one, affecting the happenings of human society, or the very smallest, woven in silence between two people
In the threads of the weaving it will come, and it will be fulfilled
It is therefore nothing that should lead even now to the so-called interesting relishing of the intellect, which is a great champion in this, but it is an urgent call to the highest degree of inner vigilance, which is now to become a lasting part of the experiencing of the present for all those who wish to stand firm and to pass victoriously through all the happening
Long since should all superficiality and lukewarmness in the thinking about life have been laid aside, for now the hour has drawn near, even here into the surroundings of this tiny planet, in which over the life of every man there hangs the question of further spiritual being and non-being
All this is to be used by the awakened spirit in the highest earnestness for everyday life as something self-evident
In this precisely lies that inner vigilance which is wholly remote from all the straying of today's mankind, which, as it sadly appears, knows only the material plane of life
The lofty armour which lies in the gracious knowledge of the Truth gives to those men who hold inner vigilance within themselves all that is needful so that they do not drown in the trivialities which so greatly flood today's world of thought
There is after all only one direction which will lead to a victorious outcome
This direction is to stand on the side of the working of the Light, in which vibrates the starting-point for all life
Whoever therefore longs to walk rightly needs only to hold to this, that he for his own part always thinks and acts towards other people purely, freely, justly, and thus in accord with that great harmony of the Will of God
Nothing else does he need in order to stand firm towards his fellow men in the present pressure of the Light
Besides this there belongs to that inner vigilance also the knowledge of all the servants who likewise work for the said Will of God, that is, of the servants of the animistic kind and of the luminous servants working towards the Earth out of the spiritual heights
From all these servants there now sounds the earnest call that mankind already stands fully in the Judgment of God
The call contains for earthly mankind the tidings that every single vibration of the volition of a man can therefore bear within it that decisive power either to raise him high to the Light or to destroy him for good
Therefore all the calling out of the Light that descends to men on Earth exhorts them to maintain inner vigilance
The high time of the necessary readiness of the spirit is here
Everything is exposed to an immense pressure which unfolds in the fine degree of perceptibility
Thus although outwardly we can now observe that great fall of many values, while seemingly nothing at all is happening in the community of men, on the finer plane there takes place in it the great judging of many, without their having the slightest inkling of it
The human spirit is judged and condemned in a single expression, which is that proverbial last drop leading to the filling of the cup of his fate
So earnest is it
Therefore in the describing of it nothing can be altered, not even a little, nor perhaps embellished, so that it might sound more indulgent to the human ear for the sake of its longed-for temporary peacefulness on Earth
But for all its urgency it again slides off in many a man upon intellectual doubting, which at once armours itself and brings into the thoughts overriding considerations that it is surely not so earnest, because otherwise more would long since have had to be said of it in public by those who lead other men, that is, by the leaders and rulers of the individual states and nations
Long since, surely, someone with a university education, a scientist, a physician, a professor or a man otherwise known for his learning would have spoken of it in the newspapers or in some other official place for the broad public
This folly leads only to a new lulling to sleep in those who perhaps from time to time tremble inwardly in the perceiving of an unknown tension which leads them to reflect with greater awareness upon the happening now being fulfilled, as to whether this age is not really that very time which through the centuries was always recalled and emphasised on Earth by many tidings received out of the heights of Creation by men more open spiritually
And indeed, only a little inner movement, and man would at once rightly recognise how the events are unfolding in confirmation of the ancient promises of the time of the Judgment of God on Earth
He would also gradually perceive more how even over his own spirit there stream powers which have not hitherto been here in so mighty a working as is the case now
It is precisely this that all the paths of the spiritual helpers call to man, that the Ray of Parzival has brought to the Earth all the servants who are the appointed executors of the Will of God in its intensification for the fulfilment of all the promises
The tautening of the threads which are bound to the individual man thus leads to an inner state of disquiet, of unrest and not seldom of irritability, for where the Light cannot bring calm and peace by means of a homogeneous attunement in man it today arouses, on the contrary, unrest and irritation
It goes as far as an unheard-of malice and hatred everywhere that, through the tautening of the threads, a door in the inner being of a man is suddenly set ajar for it, and that place which is still an unhealed field of action of the darkness can be struck more heavily
Such a place can be recognised beforehand only through inner awareness in the vigilance of the spirit
And likewise only this inner vigilance of a spirit that longs for the good can through its radiation gradually burn out and heal all those weaknesses which take away the strength so needful for the present time
Everything calls for a fundamental advance to be made at last in the awakening of the human spirit to full vigilance, for only thus can man count himself as protected from destruction
For all that which now threatens men spiritually on Earth, there is here a way leading above the plane of this maddened world, and it leads through inner joyful thanks to the Creator
Pure and joyful thanksgiving to God leads to the awakening and the maintaining of that needful vigilance as the most precious equipment of the spirit for entering upon the right way
It seems, however, that precisely today this is most of all neglected, and that all endeavours to walk upon this way are always soon weakened by the doubt that surely this simple approach to life cannot be sufficient for man to be able to stand firm in the Judgment of God
If the spirit will but look about him, however, he sees that everything which weaves in faithful service to the Will of God alone bears within itself, for all its earnestness, always as its original foundation a thankful and joyful disposition of its being
The holding of this attunement is now the way which it is needful to learn to walk
In the prospect that approaches, millions of men will be called away from this Earth, and yet it is the condition for those who remain preserved here that through all of it they hold the joyful disposition of the spirit, for only thus will the prospect of a new creative life be able to dwell with them
Therefore the necessary preparation is now spoken of, while everyone can still in his own way gradually find for himself the path of knowledge to a pure and joyful thanks to the Creator
For this he still has about him much help from the side of the animistic weaving and forming
Everywhere the eye looks into the world of nature, there life is rooted, vibrating in pure rejoicing over life
For all its harshness and seeming ungraciousness, everything in the animistic weaving is a part of the great Harmony
And from this man can and should always draw inspiration for himself, for the nursing of fear and anxiety about what is to come is not fitting here
If the spirit stands prepared in the vigilance of its inner being, then nothing can stand between it and the blessing of divine guidance to the spiritual home
This it is needful for everyone to grasp and rightly to accept
No one knows the day nor the hour in the duration of his earthly life
This is because the animistic servants known as the Alphar now have the instruction, in their accelerated working in the release of the threads of fate of men, to act severely and harshly
The necessity of the readiness of the spirit lies also in the inward acceptance of that development which is now made ready for the human spirit
All that works therein reaches into the innermost places in man
It contains whole worlds
The need of readiness of which is spoken here holds good for all the degrees of being of the human soul and of the human spirit
The right preparation in this is a blazing, living trust in the gracious Will of God together with complete inner purity in thoughts, and inseparably with it a lasting joyful thanks for the possibility of being in this glorious work of Creation
The necessity of the readiness of the human spirit lies precisely in this foundation
In it is contained all that is needful for victory and also for the complete ascent to the Light
