Upon the brows of many men a sign can be beheld which predestines them for the new age

The sign is brought from those places out of which many of these spirits incarnated upon this earth for the present time

This sign was added to them as an armour, as a gift full of grace for their earthly wandering and also as a reminder for their spiritual consciousness, which at the right moment upon the path of their earthly life is to make itself heard, in order to awaken them and to quicken in their inner being a sudden recollection of the ancient happenings in the planes of the Light

The sign upon their brows binds them to fulfilment in their mission towards the Light, for they came to earth to help at the time when the Light would bring about the happenings of great changes in the hitherto course of life

It is something glorious to be permitted to bear this sign, which unites its bearer with the luminous happening which is now to be fulfilled in a joyful co-operation for the spiritual awakening of life upon this earth

It is the cross of the Light and of the Truth which is to be found upon the brows of those who came from the luminous planes of Creation and who belong to the host of those granted grace, whose task it is to live for the joyful fulfilment of the Will of the Creator in their life upon earth

The sign marks its bearer, for all spiritual and animistic creatures and beings, as one granted grace in his predispositions, which in him can and also of necessity are to unfold for a helping earthly application

Therefore above him who bears this sign upon his brow there hovers the spiritual protection of the Light, and until a certain moment of his life he is guided and supported, so that in him everything may be permitted to ripen towards a high inner awakening at the right time

This period, when there comes to him the said time demanding an inward awakening and thereby also the first becoming aware of his real, that is to say spiritual, path upon this earth, may be called the most important time in the life of the bearer of the sign

He is to make full use of this awakening of his inner being for a significant progress forward in his now luminous intuitive perceiving of those hitherto only faint vibrations which bring the intuitive sensing that in his life there is much that is otherwise than it is with his fellow men

The becoming luminous of the inner perceiving is at that moment like an ungraspable pressure in the matter of the search for the meaning of life

The pressure in his inner being leads him ever more surely along the path of seeking towards the Truth, whereby upon this path his spiritual inner being rejects any cheap conceptions and expositions about God, because it intuitively senses the glory and the greatness which resounds in his inner being in connection with the concept of God

The spirit of such a bearer of the sign of God upon his brow seeks the Truth, and nothing else can satisfy him, for the receptivity of his intuitive perception does not permit it

Until he attains the Truth he is driven forward by the power of his inner being, which grants him no rest until he penetrates to the recognition of the very core of the Truth

He seeks the Truth, so that after a long time he may with his spirit again drink of it in full draughts

His spirit and his guidance out of the Light thus lead him with certainty to the Truth, with which he then also unites earthly in his thought consciousness

And when the spirit, through recognition in the earthly world, finds the Truth, then his path does not end, but on the contrary only then does it begin to lead to a new dimension of life

In the recognition of the Truth the sign upon his brow begins to shine still more strongly than it had hitherto, and the spirit is driven ever further forward, so that there may come the fulfilment of all the predispositions and promises which he bears within himself together with the sign

The gifts out of the Light in the form of great predispositions and abilities in his inner being, which he received in the luminous heights, long to press outwards and to manifest themselves in the pure and helping vibration of a spirit which is to become a wise mediator of hope and of the way out for other men here upon earth

The liveliness of his inner and also of his outer movement is thus continually to increase, for in that alone lies hidden the fulfilment of the inner joyful bliss which is bound up with the fulfilling of that for which such a spirit blessed by the Light came to this earth

Forward and ever more strongly, more and more in consonance with the Light

This is the inner call resounding out of the inner being, that the spirit may fulfil its mission

Joyfully the path is made ready which is to lead from one degree of fulfilment to the next

Hand in hand with it goes the maturity which becomes the possession of the spirit striving forward in liveliness

The slags of the old view of the world fall away one after another at a speed which only he can bear whose inner being is filled with a shining spirit and who carries the holy sign upon his brow

The old breaks apart and collapses in order to make space for a new wisdom welling up out of the living recognition of all the connections of the great paths of the spirit in the work of Creation

Those things and happenings which here in the earthly world formerly still had the power of attraction become more distant for the awakened spirit, and he perceives that these now belong only to the old world of the human preference for earthly goals

In the new spiritual awakening all this is at once shifted to the place where it rightly belongs, for everything is only to serve the spirit, to support it and to give it a foundation for its earthly path

Whether it be all that over which the spirit may have dominion, that is to say the earthly body with its endowments prepared beforehand by the animistic servants, the place of its birth, whither it was sent forth in its working for the Light, the knowledge of the intellect, the right acquiring of beneficial earthly habits, all this is from the time of the awakening to become the best equipment for the spirit and for its exalted aims of activity

The daily consciousness is to be filled with a wisdom which only lets the radiance of the luminous sign upon the brow grow stronger

The opening of the receptivity for the pure currents hovering around man is an important and at the same time glorious fulfilling of the path of the spirit

Pushed ever forward in the unfolding of the abilities he brought with him, the spirit then draws near to the moment when, through his sealing to the Light, his sign upon the brow gains that lustre which raises him still closer to the Light, to God and also to Parzival, who is appointed by Holy God to be the mediator for all life in this work of Creation

The vow of sealing is an important step leading to the fulfilment of the true service of pure humanity here upon earth

And for the attaining of this state of a conscious path filled with joyful enthusiasm there is at this time a multitude of spirits incarnated here upon earth

Being in the most varied places of the earth, they are joined by that important sign which shines through their brow as a strengthening to free themselves from the earthly grip

It is entirely immaterial in what conditions anyone was born, or by what ways his development proceeded, for out of the Light it is all exactly prepared beforehand as a part of the wise path of development leading to the moment of awakening of each of the spirits

This moment changes everything, and at once new ways are set which, through wholly unexpected conditions, can determine the hitherto unsuspected vistas of such a man guided by the Light

Exactly that which he needs is given to him, if he awakens in the spirit in the full power of volition towards the Light and towards the Truth

The power of volition for the fulfilling of the predispositions given him by the Light, that is the attunement which the spirit needs to bear within itself clearly and enduringly, so that it may rise upward towards the fulfilment of the task which it received for this life already before its birth

In the blessed spheres of the Light he was permitted to receive, together with the sign of the holy cross of God upon his brow, also a multitude of gifts and helps which here upon earth he is to lay into his life for the making visible of the recognition of the wise working of the Light to other men, who still remain closed to the Light because they do not bear within themselves such exceptional predispositions as he has

Walking by the simplest ways in the humble and pure awareness that of himself he is guided by the Light everywhere there where he prospers, he can advance forward together with the uniting of his spirit with the enlightenment of the Light, which will flow to him in proportion to the brightness and the radiance of the shining of the sign upon his brow

Through this radiant sign he is united with Parzival and through him also with all who are upon earth and likewise bear the bright sign upon their brows, through which they are united with the administrator and king of this work of God, chosen from the beginning of Creation

The radiance of the path of the bearer of the holy sign unites him distantly and yet closely with the others who are upon earth, or who work helpfully above this earth for the support of all the incarnated bearers of the cross of Light

Thus, however differently many still think of it, all are joined to one another by living threads of Light

It is so that their common working, both distant and near, may become that great promised help to mankind which will bring a vista through the connecting path leading upward towards the Light, towards the Grail

It is a happening prepared beforehand over thousands of years, which upon earth is finally to flow together into one united spiritual co-operation, which is to bring the forming of a soil of support and of help for those seeking the Light in all the distant lands where the bearers of the sign of God were born

Although many of the bearers of the sign of the cross will never meet earthly in this life, nevertheless there is to burn in them a pure unity which manifests itself in mutual reverence and in noble recognition, however many differences there may perhaps be among them, whether in maturity, in education or in social standing

It should always be a reason for enthusiasm and for joy united in fervent support, however great the differences between individuals may be

If then too great an earthly distance or a difference of language is no hindrance, then the mutual homogeneity which has its foundation in the planes of the Light should always be uniting for the support and the strengthening of one another

This happening is the natural fulfilment of the Law of Homogeneity

It is also so willed that men marked by the Light should know of one another and, whenever it is but possible, should help one another in the common work for the Light

In this joining there prevails one single condition

And that is the condition that the sign upon the brow never be extinguished or for some reason darkened through the turning aside or the downfall of one of its bearers

Something of the kind violates the homogeneity and thereby severs such bearers of an extinguished sign from the others

Therein the efficacy of the Light now manifests itself through the inexorable fulfilling of the Laws of God

Only a very small deviation suffices for such an incarnated bearer of the bright sign to sever himself from the Light and thereby also from the others, and to direct himself upon a path which is no longer service but his own wilfulness

And just as men otherwise knowing nothing will be permitted to behold the brightly gleaming cross upon those who stand in the streaming of the Light, so too will men of their own accord behold the darkened outlines of an originally bright sign upon those granted grace who through their weaknesses and faults gave their hand to the darkness

By a wholly spontaneous happening the eyes of the multitudes will be opened, so that in bliss they may recognise those who stand in the luminous streaming and also those who on the contrary had to be severed from this stream because they failed

The one will be here for the strengthening, the refreshment and the help of mankind, the others for a warning to all that it is possible through one's own faults to fail and to fall even from the gloriously guarded path of the Light

This sign will be beheld not only by grown men, who for a brief moment will become seeing, but also by small children, in whom their directness will speak as a fulfilment appointed by God

Likewise the animistic beings may behold this sign, and even the animals, in whom it calls forth a perception of heightened submissiveness and opens the will to the highest devotion

An extinguished cross of Light

A sign which out of the most glorious blessing became the testimony of a desperate fall of the spirit

There is no heavier accusation than to bear this failing of one's own, which manifests itself in the impurity of the inner impulses instead of in a pure direction in life

Soon now the sorting out among mankind will be fulfilled, and this will bring about unprecedented happenings which men will at first not be able rightly to understand

They will stand before it without comprehension, and only a few, through their perceiving, will recognise the sharp cut led by the Light, which therein will work with the highest exactitude

Only the third generation distant from the present time will, thanks to its awakened receptivity, be more able to see through in all this the great Wisdom of God, which works therein and which also always worked in the same way in the threads of human destinies, yet not with such swiftness as it will soon fulfil itself

The animals and the animistic servants, however, perceive all this clearly already now and are already beginning to arrange themselves accordingly

It is already drawing near and is already beginning to reach into the threads of mankind as a whole and above all into the threads of individual men

These happenings will only yet begin to fulfil themselves visibly upon earth, in order to bring a greater strengthening in the recognition of those who are now upon earth in order to help Parzival and thereby also the Light in its liberating happening

Only afterwards will they become visible also to the whole of mankind

This will bring the inexorable demand for purity of volition for each individual man

Therefore everyone should strive a thousandfold to cast all his power into standing, for his own part, enduringly in the stream of the Light which surrounds him in protection from the darkness and from impure inclinations

Whoever remains in pure consonance in this stream, he is also safely protected from all the influences of temptation and of weakness through which the darkness seeks to make the path harder for more than one of the incarnated bearers of the sign of God

In this everyone needs with sharpness to direct the strongest ray of Light upon himself, into his manner of dealing and still more into the thoughts and the motives for this dealing which proceed from the covering of his soul

His greatest helper can be the conscience of his spiritual inner being, provided that he is still able to catch this conscience

Ah, woe, woe – if anyone of the host of those granted grace but once gives his hand to these impure currents and unites with them, even if only for a few moments, in a close intuitive bond

Evil will seize the power of his spirit and suck it out for its own strengthening in the dark principle

The spirit which came to earth out of the Light thus, instead of helping the luminous happening, feeds with its evil volition only the darkness

And the Light will finally have to forsake him entirely, in order to protect itself from his failing

Thereby his protection will be completely weakened, and he will have to perceive intuitively how his radiant cross fades away, so that only an empty outline remains of it, and how the luminous connection which but shortly before held and strengthened him upon the path to fulfilment also swiftly withdraws from him

As soon as a spirit granted grace deviates from the path along which he had already once consciously walked upward, then his spirit grows weak and he becomes only a shadow of his original personality

He becomes an erring spirit who cannot serve the Light as he originally promised, and therefore it easily comes about that the darkness gradually devours him through his weaknesses

Those whose sign upon the brow grows weaker in their failing, indeed has already been lost, those are hard to help, for they were gifted with so much before they came to earth that there is here no greater power which could overcome all this

Love alone, in its pure fervour and in its unconditional acceptance of the path which is appointed by the Light for deliverance, can still bring rescue and help to those who have turned aside from their formerly glorious path of fulfilment

The gushing forth of a new fervent love in full power out of the spirit towards the Light and towards God opens helping currents which can fasten themselves, at first lightly and thinly, upon the soul of him who has fallen and succumbed to the darkness, although before that he stood fully in the covering of the Light

He can be rescued in that his darkened cross gradually vanishes from his brow

If, however, it vanishes, he can never again expect that the cross of the Truth will be given to him anew

Help will come to him if he shows the highest striving in a long enduring proving of pure humanity upon his path towards the bettering of himself

But never again will he be gifted with that which he received before, wherewith he was once already spiritually granted grace out of the loving-kindness of God

Great is the grace of God, and the human spirit does not grasp the ways in which it fulfils itself

He judges everything only by himself and thereby forces his own view of things into the Will of God

Thus on the one hand he not seldom expects from God the manifestation of His implacable severity towards all who in his own eyes have failed and succumbed to the darkness, yet at the same time he does not hesitate to ask for indulgence towards himself and towards his own faults, or to ask for loving-kindness for those of his fellow men whom he loves and cannot reconcile himself to the thought that they too should be judged in their weaknesses and faults by that same inexorable strictness of the Justice of God

Another man then does not grasp the greatness of all the guidance of the threads of fate, and therefore he also often supposes that he is already beforehand condemned, if he awakens and discovers in how hard a sleep of the spirit he has hitherto slept and all that he wrought in this sleep

Yet another, in contrast to the first, holds himself, in blind overlooking of the defects of his soul, to be exalted above the rest

No one, however, views the working of God in the Laws of Creation entirely rightly, for these Laws recognise only that pure luminosity which is to burn in the spirit in the moment of the present

At the same time there manifests itself in the judgment of God upon the threads of man the balanced constancy of the spirit in remaining connected with the Light under all circumstances

Even the least servant who fulfils this upon his degree of maturity is thus a welcome inhabitant of the worlds through his luminosity of pure vibration within the whole of the work of Creation

His path, which lies before him, can lead to the eternity of his being in bliss, if he himself holds vigilantly to the path upward towards the Light and does not by anything deviate from the great harmony of the wondrous work of God, in which it was made possible for him to arise to conscious life

Let no one, therefore, overestimate himself, and at the same time let him not underestimate himself either, for both harm the spirit and deflect it from the course of its path to the spiritual home

Luminously and in the clear knowingness of their recognition, however, are those to step before men who were already before their birth raised to that granting of grace which they experienced in the nearness of God in the planes of the luminous spheres of Creation

They received much recognition into their spirit, and now the time is here when this is to bear its fruit for a joyful and exalted help to millions of men

The knowledge of God and of his greatness is now to be spread through all the lands of this earthly world

For this many were incarnated who bear within their spirit the most precious gifts for it

Upon this earth there is a great multitude of spirits who still bear upon their brow the sign which predestines them for a glorious task for the Light

They are faultlessly and carefully guided out of the Light, so that they may become that which they once longed to be with the whole of their spiritual inner being – helpers of the Light in this earnest time of mankind upon earth

Their ways, however little or nothing of it they themselves see, are ways preparing them for that spiritual awakening of their inner being

Many are already awakened and may walk ahead, in order to find and to tread out the path to the Light for others

Others are just awakening and, under the unconscious urging of their inner being, seek answers as to why they are here upon this earthly plain and what they are to do here, for the world of the society around them appears to them distant and alien, and in much of it they do not understand it at all

And the greatest part of those who bear upon their brow the sign of the Light is soon to awaken, for their spiritual work is now awaited by the happening which comes to mankind for its awakening and liberation, as was foretold already thousands of years ago

It is therefore high time for a movement forward

Everyone in his own place, where he stands and works, is now to rouse himself fully with his spirit to the joyful fulfilment of that which he himself besought as a possibility of helping in the great happening of the Light at this time upon earth

Pure and free are to be the thoughts of those who are granted grace and who until now knew nothing of it

Their awakening is the beginning of the noble fulfilment of their task upon earth, wherein they are to restore the spiritual dominion over intellectualism and over ponderous materialism

With lightness and with warm-hearted friendliness they are to show the path which will lead the awakening men to the recognition of the true meaning of life upon this earth

Step by step the path is to be built to a life which vibrates in harmony with the whole of the work of Creation and thereby also with the Will of God, which is held in the hand by Parzival in his administration of this space of Life radiated out by God

Blessed are those who fulfil all this without wavering and without stumbling over their faults

In that those granted grace by the Light find the way to one another in a mutual union of thoughts and in joyful enthusiasm, thereby the greatest thing which this mankind needs will already have been done for it

For thus will be broken the curse of arrogance and of enmity which wells up among men out of an unhealthy self-exaltation above others

Self-exaltation withal has nothing in common with a healthy self-assurance, which on the contrary is able to accept that another is better in something

Self-exaltation is food for envy, out of which there gradually grows hatred and finally an uncontrollable consuming fury

This weakness is the hardest to remove, for under it the whole of mankind groans together with all its religions and philosophies, it passes through the buildings of the universities, it influences commerce and politics, and at the same time it is the weakness which drives the sting of hatred across the fence between two neighbours even in the poorest places upon earth

Upon this earth, however, a better state is to prevail

Where the Light is to be today, there must first prevail a pure striving to lay aside all one's weaknesses and unpolished manners in dealing with others

And of these ugly and disturbing lapses, which everyone commits, there are still far too many

Far too easily is the volition of man used in the attempt to hurt and to humiliate another

In such dealing there is then nothing of the joy nor of the creativeness which is precisely the very essence of the humanly spiritual spark

And therefore those who have from birth inscribed upon their brows the sign of God, they are to move higher in this and to show that there is here a hope of a new community of men upon earth and a path leading to liberation

They are to prove it among themselves and also to all other men

It is nothing hard, and yet at the same time it is the hardest thing which, despite all the snares of the darkness, needs to be overcome by the spirit in its striving towards the Light

Those who are sent to earth by the Light for this work bear within themselves the best armour for it, that they may be victorious

If they accomplish it, their sign will shine in the highest lustre of the blessing of God

They can prove that the victory of the Light streaming through their inner being, and like a pure brightness, will bring only refreshment and strengthening to all who seek pure humanity upon this earth
