Like a shining torch, the radiant Ray of Parzival plunges into the gloomy dusk of the worlds of thought that roll heavily about the earth

As when into leaden storm clouds there descends of a sudden the all-illumining hammer of Thonorun, so now appears the Light of the Ray of Parzival in these regions of the materialities of the universe

In the planes of thought the Ray of Parzival brings new power into all the holy concepts which swing in union with the Word

The Holy Word comes to life under the effect of the radiant Ray

After a certain time, which was given for the new ordering of the ways of the Light here on earth, the Ray brings in the Word a call which is to shake the inner being of man mightily, that it may at last awaken

Under the sounding of this Ray there will begin to loosen with haste the deposits of thought upon the Word, which men have layered upon it in the time of its earthly existence, in their varied imaginings of its meaning

The loosening of the deposits of thought forms will come about in order that they may no longer hinder the victorious working of the Word among those men on earth who are still seekers of the Light and of the Truth

Much of the purely human volition which drew near to the Word and became a part of how men perceive it outwardly today will thus in the growing movement be compelled to show itself as standing aside, having nothing in common with the all-embracing, liberating and helping Will of God, which alone is imprinted in the Word

In the end all will crumble and fall to dust that drew near to the Holy Word in order to feed upon Its life-giving power, even as when someone takes to himself another's garment and seeks through the renown of this garment to work upon others

The Ray of Parzival bears within itself the liberating power for every rebirth of pure life

This kind of attunement alone – the fervent volition for a pure life – can join itself with it on the part of men

To nothing else have men a right, nor yet the power out of the nature of their spiritual origin

The Ray bears within itself a radiation of the Divine kind, and this radiance strengthens all that is in the same kind of swinging with the Will of God, or that still bears within itself a healthy and pure spiritual foundation which is able to receive at least a partial radiation of the Ray

The first with which the Ray now joins itself are thus all the places where there is found among men the Word of God's Truth, be it from the Son of Man, or be it the Word brought to men by the Son of God Jesus

The Ray will draw near to all the forms and concepts surrounding the homogeneous of the Divine radiation in the Word, that all may be strengthened and prove itself in its nature

No one is yet aware of it, but precisely this drawing near of the Ray in Its quickening, strengthening effect upon all the thoughts surrounding the Word brought by Jesus and thereafter by the Son of Man will bring upheavals in much that happens

There, where someone avows himself to God and to the Light only outwardly, in the superficiality of a habitual approach which here on earth has become the property of many multitudes, there the Ray will suddenly bring strong shocks for the awakening of the spiritual inner being

In this working of Its own the Ray will go in describing circles from place to place, in order to fulfil the announced beginning of new life on earth

To him who awakens and yet steps forth with renewed strength to a new life the Ray will then shine as a victorious, liberating helper upon the new path

The Ray comes in order to fulfil the promise that it is precisely He Who is the promised Liberator for all inwardly pure men, who, confused by outward circumstances, are already losing the perseverance of their will to the good, and who despair over the continuing disruption of the human world

The touch of the Ray will strongly illumine the gleam of God's Truth in the Holy Word, that this Word may shine in rescue for all who seek in earnest

The Ray is here for them, that they may thereafter take hold fully of Its Light and, in the refreshment of Its radiance, step forth with the Word in their hands upon the path forward

Men who are of pure heart and whose spirit calls for the Light are now to free themselves from all that constricts and weakens them in the endless conflicts of opinion of a human society already visibly shaking, wherein it may be expected that many events will only yet in full force well up to the surface of the daylight

The oppressive inner rending is to be laid aside by them, and only the pure looking up to the Light is to be the determining thing for the joining of men

Everywhere where into human society, into all the relations between men, there have crept baseness, calculation, the craving to stand out, intrigue, fawning and dull partisanship, everywhere there individual men are now to awaken in the acceptance of their own personal responsibility for their path, and in this liberating awakening they are to leave far behind them their mere existing hitherto

Each is to awaken within himself his own inner strength, if he still bears within himself at least a small spark of the promise of rebirth

To such men the radiant Ray brings liberation and strengthening

Where, however, courage is lacking, where waiting dwells, where the eyes are covered in the refusal of the visible manifestations of discord with the Laws of God in those who maintain that they know today what is to be done, or who persuade others that they serve God, and in reality it is not so from the view of the Light, there the Ray cannot bring help

The Ray is a Liberator and a giver of strength only there where there is no turning aside before the awakening, where there is no fleeing before the necessity of one's own movement

Neither will It bring help there where harmony with other men is not sought in the highest striving

Where discord rules, where there is no will to respect and reverence towards others, where guile, slander, irony and the insulting of others can still live on, there the Ray of Light will now bring in Its strength only a shock and a blow for the crushing of these unlovely qualities, which are in their kind only enemies of the Light

But again it is needful to warn against a wrong grasping of it, if someone pictures to himself that the Ray of Light brings to this attunement hostile to the Light a revenge in the fulfilling of satisfaction

Again there pushes itself into such a perceiving, with many a man, that well-known human reasoning which looks only at the single details in the destinies of other men

In the blows and the shocks of the Ray there is, however, ever only a helping kind of working, because everywhere where under these blows the inner being of man awakens and sincerely regrets its doings, seeking ways to change and to atonement, there the Ray of Light changes at once from a judge bringing the stroke into a liberator, and at once smooths the ways to the possibility of making good the harm in a stepping forward, in the awakening of such a man

The Primordial Eternal God in His greatness never needs to punish and to destroy, for He stands in His nature above all that takes place in His work

That which takes place in the destinies of men is ever solely and only the outcome of how they themselves are or are not in accord with the great harmonious flowing of the Laws of Creation, the Laws which bear within themselves blessing for all that swings in unison with them, and which at the same time also here, in the Subsequent work of Creation, mediate a lasting strengthening for the development and the ripening of all that is still in part far from full accord with them but honestly strives to recognise and to comprehend them

If the picture of the effects of the Ray is to be rightly described, then Its oncoming strong working in human destinies lies in the sudden acceleration of the release of the Law of Reciprocal Action, which the Ray brings within itself, and which is therefore now, under the effect of the nearness of Parzival, stronger and mightier than men here on earth have known hitherto in the last decades

For him who is able to reason rightly about things, everything is contained in this accelerated release of the Law of Reciprocal Action

For the recognising of what is now happening and of what will yet happen he needs to know nothing more

The blow, or the blessing, which is contained in the manifestation of the radiation of this Ray lies in Its strengthening swiftness, with which everything in the threads of men is now released, and at the same time Its manifesting is a clear testimony of the state of the inner being of this or that man

Men who therefore suppose that the Holy God and the releaser of all happening in Creation entrusted by Him, the King of the Grail, Parzival, now intervene in wrath and revenge, in satisfaction towards all that has ever in its sloth or crookedness set itself against the Light, are far from the comprehension of the true Wisdom of God and of His Greatness

All that which is called the battle of the Light with the darkness, or also the intervening of the working of the Light into the darkness, is in reality only a healing happening, which may be called a happening working purely in the principle of harmony full of Love, wherein there is ever at the same time already contained beforehand the victorious preponderance over all that opposes this harmony and sets itself against it

God's peaceful harmony will now conquer the disharmony that dwells here for a time

It is wholly the same as when we say that the Light will now conquer the darkness which even today for a great part surrounds the earth

Thus never is there contained in the Ray of the radiation of Parzival, in Its releasing of the destinies of all that lives, a volition of revenge, but there is here only a "Mighty influx of Power bringing harmonious swinging", against which man strikes only through his so frequent wrong volition

It is a wholly self-acting happening in the Laws of Creation

Therefore it may also come to pass that at the same time, in the comprehension of his faulty direction, which perhaps brought about the first blow against the said strengthened radiation of harmonious swinging, that same man may swiftly in his change, if the turn has already come about within him and pure volition has awakened in him, find in this same Ray strengthening and help

These changes may come about swiftly, and no one of men is excluded from them beforehand

Already in far-off times it was said that in the fulfilment of the working of the Laws of God those who are now the last may in the end be the first, and those who are now the first may in the end still become the last

Everything is left wholly to the free deciding of each individual man

The Ray comes in order to work all-embracingly, impersonally, in the highest degree justly towards each one

Thus we may ever call this Ray the liberating one, for in reality up to the last moment, despite the inexorable release of the reciprocal effect of all that is wrong, it bears within itself the outstretched hand of help, which works at once if in fervent experiencing a change to better volition comes about in man

All the stubborn wrestling of men with this Ray will lie only in this, that either they do not know their way among their own motives and are not able, in their present spiritual weakness of intuitive perception, to distinguish in how many places they err, or that there is with them the attunement of a conscious volition of evil

Those who do not know their way within themselves, who have hitherto given no heed in their intuitive perception to their acting and thereby strike against their fellow men, have the opportunity in earnest intuitive perceiving to find the causes of their faults and to change

Those, however, who know of their faults and heed them not, or even strengthen them in order knowingly to harm other men, cannot expect that in the hour when the force of the effect of the reciprocal stroke overcomes them a hand will at once be reached out to them merely because they will suddenly call beseechingly for help and forgiveness

Such will first have to prove to the Light that their turning to the Light proceeds truly from the fervent volition of their inner being

The All-Wisdom of God will look through their inner being into the book of Life and will decide upon the destiny of the spark of the spirit

The force of the reciprocal blow will, however, quite surely overtake them, in order at a certain moment to halt them at one stroke in their further forming of evil, ungood volition

There is here on earth no power which could withstand the oncoming Ray of Parzival's radiation

All will be overtaken and exposed to the pressure of the reciprocal stroke of the Justice of God, which here on earth has never hitherto been at work in so lasting, so all-embracing, so all-penetrating an impact upon the ways of human spirits

Thus in the end all men will be able to have the opportunity to experience the brief moment of the hand of the Liberator reached out in help

Either they will take this hand, or they will refuse it

The Liberator Who comes offers His hand to every creature

The Liberator is in reality Parzival Himself, by the commission of His Father, Who sent Him for the completion of the setting straight of all that is crooked among men in the Subsequent work of Creation

Parzival is thus directly bound with the radiant Ray, He Is in this Ray, and thereby He is present through this Ray directly to all the sifting and judging happening among men

In this respect it is therefore possible ever and solely to call the coming of the Ray of Parzival the coming of Parzival Himself – the Liberator of all life and thus also of the human spirits upon this earth

Therewith is fulfilled the mystery which has not until now been rightly comprehended by men since the time of the earthly departure of the Son of Man

The happening which now comes is the realisation of the pictures wherein Parzival, dwelling in the luminous planes above the earth, in the strengthening of the Ray of God's radiation which streams from Him to the earth, works at the same time in all the places where the Word is to be found, and through this Word judges all that lives, even as it was already made clear by Him Himself

Through the Word the power then gushes forth into the whole world of thought and into the earthly world, that with the support of the high animistic servants all the promises may by degrees be fulfilled

The Ray thus works through the Holy Word on earth in strengthened measure, and that as Liberator and as Judge at once

It rests with men how they will be able to come to terms with this happening, yet from of old they were warned of it by many prophets and also by the Revelation of John itself, that in the end all God's working will fulfil itself in a manner of whose coming men have not the least inkling

The acceptance or the refusal of the Ray of the Liberator will become for them the decisive moment for their further existence

Many men have no inkling in how grave a time they stand

In themselves, in each one singly, lies the key to help, because they will first need to recognise all that they did through their volition to the harm of others and of the whole of Creation, they will have to experience it all to the very last part, and thereafter they will have to show a strong will that they mean their change in earnest, and only then will help from the Light come to meet them step by step

The earth will be set free and raised up in her renewed beauty

With each one of men remains the decision whether he longs to be on the side of the liberated, or on the side of those to whom further abiding in this part of the materialities will be denied

The Ray of the Liberator grows stronger and brings the outlook of the longed-for new path for each individual man and for the whole earth

For those who are of pure inner being the Ray brings freedom and a joyful awakening

Thus at last there will also come here on earth the recognition of what the real freedom of the human spirit is

The true freedom of the human spirit is filled with pure humility, with which man ever asks first whether his volition to attain the fulfilment of this or that goal is in accord with the great Harmony working lastingly in the Laws of Creation

Men will at last come to know freedom and will know that with this freedom is bound the Ray of Parzival, as protector and guardian of all human doing on earth
