Beneath the radiation of the service of Herferide, in union together with Haetheine, the gentle servant Hestia works for the support and the protection of the home

Unlike Haetheine, who works protectingly with a certain vehemence and fearlessness towards all that draws near with the will to disturb the harmony of the home, Hestia swings in complete stillness and weaves the currents for domestic peace and for a refreshing pure joy, out of which mutual love and understanding for all those near may blossom forth

Hestia is the mediator, in image and also in reality, of the flame of the domestic hearth of blessing

She stands behind all the helps which are woven for the shaping of every shelter for the earthly living together of creatures, whether it be the living together of men, of animals, or also of the small animistic beings serving in the earthly world

In her gentle currents there arises the inspiring beauty and harmony for the forming of a shelter for life

Thus the homely dwelling of men is born out of the vibrations of pure inspiration, and it is the servant Hestia who helps men to attain to them

She mediates the currents out of which are born the beauty and the fulfilling harmony of the place where men live together

With the animals it is likewise, for they too weave out of her inspirations and form their places of abiding, whether these be wondrously built nests, dens and hiding-places, or whether they be regions of the most varied kind where the plants of the landscape form a protection for the great creatures

Unlike the animals, men, through their spiritual origin, are able to form truly artistic fashionings of homes and dwelling-places, whereby in inner visions inspiration may come to them from ever higher places in Creation

In these inspirations there is always to swing a part of the radiation from Hestia

Where this part of the radiation is lacking, there it may be expected that, for all the utmost beauty and artistry, such a place will in the end, for all the craftsman's striving, have a cold and unhomely effect

Where the radiation bound up with the blessing of the servant Hestia is lacking, there sooner or later tension, unrest, and at last the disintegration of the bonds between those who dwell in these places will also settle in

Where therefore no room is made for at least a certain peacefulness and a quiet fellowship, which fulfils itself in the accord of ever-renewing forces towards an upward surge, there, together with the radiation of Hestia, the protecting helps of Haetheine also withdraw, and the consequence thereof is the inevitable overthrow of harmony and the fall

In this principle there swings the small as well as the great

It is needful only to follow rightly the line of the working of the animistic Hestia

Blessing and ascent, or on the contrary disintegration and fall, will always come, whether it be the smallest chamber, a home which serves as a dwelling for two people, or whether such a place be a great residence, a castle, a city, a region, or a whole state which affords a shelter to millions of men

In the end even the whole planet is for men their home in a certain earthly sense

Always the principle of blessing or of cursing unfolds itself in the attunement of those who are able to weave the quiet threads of blessing and homeliness, or who are not able to take hold of them

And she who bears within herself, in her spiritual constitution, the strongest capacity for this is precisely the earthly woman

In her hands it therefore rests whether, through the purity and the delicacy of her inner being, the radiant currents of blessing which the exalted servant of Valhalla Hestia mediates will incline towards the places where men dwell

Hestia is the guardian of the domestic hearth, and the uniting with her radiation is that foundation towards which young girls and women should be led already

It is not a duty, but it is only the recognition of the blessing which lies therein, if a woman in her attunement of purity enters joyfully, for her own part, into this pure weaving which Hestia radiates in her animistic working out of the heights of Valhalla

She also sends a part of her radiation to the servants who are in the nearness of the earth, among whom belong Celeine and Astarte, animistic beings therefore whose seats are to be found in connection with the Moon and with Venus, bodies within this solar system

Many secrets lie hidden in the radiation of the quietly shining night sky

Helping exalted threads descend towards the earth to strengthen the earthly woman here in her task, out of which only beauty and the consciousness of the shelter of a home are to blossom, a home whither all may flee that longs for a peace-filled stillness in which to draw new strength

Exalted is the earthly woman in this task

In a task from which the greatest part of the womanhood of today upon the earth is wholly far removed

The spinning of these threads, wherein purity is wedded to inspiration for a graceful creating, this spinning of threads lies forgotten as something which has become burdensome for the intellect, which in the woman of today has utterly overshadowed her greatest treasure – the inner intuitive perceiving

Yet it is still possible to return to this most glorious gift which woman received from the Creator

A quiet, fervent prayer in the seeking of the prototypes of a pure working can bring about the connection with those radiant bands which the grace-filled Hestia and her helpers let float down towards the earth

Astarte and Celeine, who are now shining with unwonted brightness, whisper in the night-time of the glory of woman, which is to be transformed into the brightness of grace through every one of her movements, through every one of her glances, every gesture of her hand, every smile

At last the glory of balance, of wisdom, and at the same time of the pure ringing clarity of her inner life is to come forth outwardly, so that she may become a direct mediator of the high currents of the Light

The sacred fragrances of the blossoms from the finer worlds, which are lastingly to surround woman, can then become perceptible for her whole surroundings

If she achieves this, then Hestia and also the other high animistic servants, Herferide, Herfeline and Efredite, will help to join to their radiation the currents from the heights of the Light in the primordially created planes, towards which from time to time Maria and Irmingard incline from the halls of the Castle of the Grail

Then this glorious radiation of the primordially created islands lying high in the Light, of the pure service of the femininely spiritual kind, will be able from time to time to descend to woman here upon the earth through the mediation of Astarte

Hand in hand with this radiation there will go for all women a blessedness and a fulfilment such as in the permanence of this state they have not hitherto known

To raise the world to something better is possible precisely through that invisible weaving of the luminous radiation within the inner being of woman

In reality it is not men who can save the world in the first step, but solely and alone women, through an attunement uniting them with the high currents of the Light

Hestia, in her animistic kind of service, sends these currents to all women as a help, for the refinding of their task

And it is Hestia herself who, in her comeliness wherein she is a radiant prototype for every earthly woman, inclines in this time to awaken and to strengthen all that is bound up with the home, with the place of the life of men, with the homeland

Therefore there is so much present tension, so much calling for a return from the great to the smaller, a return from grandiose plans back to that foundation which lies in the pure connection with the place where man, living his earthly life, has towards this place a fervent bond as towards his home

Only out of the right understanding of all the help contained in the exalted words e a r t h l y h o m e is there then to unfold that co-operation which oversteps the borders of this home

A co-operation bearing within itself respect for what is different, and at the same time setting itself apart from that which lies beyond the borders of the home and which by its otherness does not fit into the distinctive character of the given region

The distinctive character, the folklore or the culture of the people living in a given region is also not to remain in rigidity, drawing only from the past

It is to rise to a new upward surge wherein each of the inhabitants will find room for his own uniqueness, yet at the same time he himself will be in harmony with the whole, which comprises the host of men living in the place that together they call their earthly homeland

Everything needs to be living, unceasingly developing, for the earthly is to be strengthened again and again by the spiritual

Every culture can thus develop without end, for the inspirations will never be exhausted

And the beginning of this upward surge is borne above all by woman, who has within her the capacity to draw from those currents which the glorious animistic servant Hestia unceasingly offers her

Like blossoms which at last show themselves outwardly in the whole space, yet which have their roots within, in the quietly shining home, so is there now to unfold a new kind of working which rests upon the awakening of the intuitively perceiving inner being of woman

Therein lies the beginning of the change which can bring to all men peace and blessing

Hestia speaks to the family hearth of the home

Her song and the beauty of her whole appearance are a lasting example for all womanhood upon the earth

She lets float down towards the earth threads of radiation which hold the opportunity for a living together of men of all races and nations such as has never yet been upon the earth

Not, however, by the way of a common intermingling, but for the furthering of the uniqueness of the several nations, as these will be reborn within themselves, so that together they may all be permitted to create upon the earth a concord of colours and of tones which in joy and in happiness will extol the Creator with one united voice

The key to this lies in the domestic hearth which Hestia guards and furthers

Let the inspirations from this exalted animistic servant be sought, and much will then heal and set itself in order of itself, as a happening which will not be far from a miracle
