One of the strongest servants of the animistic sacred Valhalla, who bears within himself the pure principle of battle, is Hareiars
It is a peculiar kind of radiation which inclines towards Hareiars from Mercury, and at the same time there is contained within it also a part of the radiation of the primordially created Lion, which in union with the radiation of Mercury forms in this rugged servant a heroic aggressiveness
Thus in Hareiars there arose out of this union a special kind of servant, who in the effect of his principle rends and tears all that is diseased, all that has deviated from its origin, so that this may at last be driven out of the planes of the Subsequent Creation and the time for healing may dawn
Hareiars dwells in the heights, in the circle around Valhalla, and at the same time he is present everywhere where it is needful to press forward in the penetrating power of forces, for the shaping of changes from the old to the new
By some of the more delicate Aesir he is perceived as one who goes against their working, yet with his crushing power he labours, in the wisdom of the will of O-dio-nar, always as a stimulating element contributing to further development
Hareiars is the one who works in the happenings which demand an immense influx of forces for transformation
He always takes part in catastrophes such as earthquakes, eruptions of volcanoes, collisions of stars, explosions of suns and much else that bears within it fundamental transformation and destruction
He is the one who calls forth these changes in the elements, for through his presence he gives to the servants working in these elements a strengthening which they cannot resist, and thus they are roused to outward manifestation
He is the intensifier of all that needs change, and in this principle he works without mercy
“The Intensifier”, that is the true name of Hareiars
Hareiars and his servants are those who work in the time of fundamental transformations of the universe, or even at the transformations of whole parts of the materialities
Wherever anything has served its time, or has reached the point at which renewal in the essence of its kind is no longer possible, there at once rush towards such a place the pressure, the blow and the force of a disintegrating kind, whose originator is the principle in which the proud and rugged Hareiars serves together with his companions
In ruthlessness towards pain and towards loss in the collapse of what has been until now, the blow of Hareiars works as one directed to a single goal, to healing and to the renewal of forces
His power crushes, severs and compels collapse, for before his eyes there blazes the result of a faithful mission, and that is the forming of the foundation for a new, fresh awakening, which can arise only upon the soil that he creates through his ruthless tearing down of the old
In his effect there vibrates the arousing of fever and in part also the self-destroying urge of all organisms
Hareiars drives the fundamental principle of battle in nature, which at the given stage of development works as the necessary pressure for the maintaining of a healthy vibration
Beside Hareiars there came to consciousness the sublime Haerthemis, who leads and guides the animals in the world of nature towards the healing removal of all that is weaker
Hardly can man grasp the sublimity and the necessity of this principle, which hovers above the materialities, supported by the unyielding aggressiveness of the working of Hareiars, a principle in which lies the protection against sloth and decline
Like the wafting of a rugged, blessed stream of forces the principle of Hareiars vibrates through the circles of the animistic servants which circle around sacred Valhalla
From there it descends ever further downwards, so that this wafting may find anchorage in the kinds of each single gradation of matter, further and further, down to the gross material universe
Upon the plane of earthliness this principle then sinks into the working of living creatures, visible and invisible, who find in it the impulse for their own development in struggle
Endurance, and also higher consciousness, the holding of one's own, lie in the effect of the pressure of Hareiars, which as a living law guards the whole world of nature, and in part also the world of men, from falling into decay
For in the animistic realm this principle brings not only the will to survive, but also, in union with the principle of Haetheine, ingenuity and intelligence, which in right use give the impulses to growth and to strengthening, and therein lie development and progress
In man this kind of principle streaming from the radiation of Hareiars is the foundation upon which a higher spiritual awakening is to be joined, which in the right recognition of love and of goodness transforms this basic kind of battle into enthusiastically blazing co-operation and mutual, zealous help towards ascent
Vibrating through this higher spiritual degree of human working, the presence of the principle of Hareiars nevertheless preserves a certain severe pressure of inflexibility, in that at last the way forward, for the individual and for the whole of society, leads only through healthy full value
Even though with understanding and with loving sensitivity, in the end all that is inferior must always give way to that which, in union with the Light, with the Laws of Creation, shows itself to be the healthy and the right way
Thus we also, all of us, in our daily working, need in a certain manner to hold within ourselves a pure accord with the principle of Hareiars, for in it lie the advance, the development and the ascent
He who has recognised this principle esteems it and is guided by it, for it bears within itself the call “Boldly forward is pleasing to God!”
The condition therein is the purity of the volition, which shapes the advance in an honourable and just manner
Fulfilling this principle, the sublime Hareiars permeates all things and determines in an invisible manner the certainty of the recognition of what is healthy and of what, as unhealthy, can no longer be held in the worlds which he drives forward with his kind of radiation
Hareiars, the sublime warrior, wears an armour of luminously red scales
This armour closely encloses his mighty breast, and passing over to the arms and to the legs it changes into the silvery sheen of a finer kind of scales, which cover even his fingers
The mighty figure is enfolded in a cloak of golden red appearance, which streams into the far distances like the shining radiance of a fiery evening glow
His broad countenance with the dark eyes is surrounded by light red hair, looking like a mighty lion's mane
When he prepares himself for work, for battle, there appears upon his head a broad, silvery shining helmet, which for thousands of years hosts of warriors have imitated
His helmet too bears the distinct symbol of wings, yet he also carries within himself one bestowal of Mercury
In case of need his arms can themselves change into immense eagle's wings, which in an instant bear him across the worlds to the places where he is to intervene
When his wings change back again into hands, then in the one hand he holds a spear of the most solid origin
The impact of the point of this spear crushes rocks and lifts up whole parts of universes, that these may be hurled aside as needless in their over-ripeness
In his other hand there appears either a heavy sword or a double-bladed axe, as the form of a striking power working to sever all that is unhealthy
With these implements everything is severed, cut through with a single blow of his implement
An awe-inspiring impression radiates from his figure
The peoples of earlier times, in apprehension and in fear of him and of his unyielding working, at the sly counsel of demons began to bring him sacrifices of the animal and also of the human kind, in the supposition that they might perhaps thereby satisfy his hunger for battle and for the pain which it brings
With revulsion the sublime Hareiars turned his gaze away from such doings, in which he beholds only baseness and that which is worthy of condemnation
Most gladly would he have struck those who called forth such doings, yet the course of the threads of the human kind is not directly his work
He therefore remains aside and does not intervene by design against human folly and baseness, unless he receives for it a direct command from O-dio-nar
In the same way he regards with unconcealed displeasure the reversal of the principle of his working, which the fallen archangel wove into human thinking and doing
In the beginning he himself was a well-wisher of his working, for the radiance of the divinely animistic light dwelling within him drew Hareiars, as it drew the other Aesir and the Alphar, yet after the experiencing of the fall of Lucifer in his turning aside to vileness and to the principle of temptation towards the Subsequent Creation, he rushed forth with vehemence, in the volition himself to strike him down
The fallen one gave way before a direct encounter with him, yet out of the depths to which he had withdrawn there resounded his laughter “You will serve me all the same, foolish one, you will all serve me, for I shall use your service for my goal!”
Hareiars, not comprehending these words, wished to hurl himself in a single instant after the threateningly laughing voice down into the depths, heedless of whether he would be victorious or not
He was halted, for from the heights there rang out to him “Stay, faithful servant! That is my task, that is my work! My power is destined to bind the malevolent one!”
Hareiars halted and listened to the glorious voice, for it was not the voice of O-dio-nar, but of one who was incomparably more radiant, more blissful
It was the voice of Parzival that rang from the heights of the Grail to the faithful servant
Keeping watch thus upon the high ramparts, the faithful Hareiars stood in expectation, patiently on guard, until there descended from the heights the Ray of Parzival, clothed in the vessel of a radiant hero
And Parzival came, to fulfil all the promises
Hareiars followed the liberating advance of Parzival into the depths, in order with his double-bladed axe and with a host of faithful helpers to illumine a part of the dark underworld from the darkness which dwelt therein, bearing within itself an origin of the animistic kind
His task in this direction, however, is not yet wholly completed, and he awaits a new call of Parzival, that with the army which he has gathered from the ranks of the courageous Aesir and from heroic vessels of the animistic kind he may then complete the work which he regards as his own
Around him stand hosts of animistic servants, who often long ago dwelt upon the Earth and who as Vikings, Teutons, Slavs, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Samurai, warriors of the Indian and of the African tribes and of all the other peoples of the continents proved their courage and their heroism in battle, so that their part of the animistic kind was borne by the Valkyries into the halls of Valhalla, whence now, at the call of Hareiars, they will press forward to the cleansing of the uttermost parts of the materialities from darkness
The accord of the earthly world of men with the kind of radiation of Hareiars is, however, always a very grave thing and demands great maturity and wisdom
In the hands of immaturity it leads to the calling forth of destructive forces, and what remains of such a union is always only ruins and heavy karmic threads demanding the necessary redemption
The working of Hareiars was at certain times also an inspiration to some peoples who bear within themselves a conquering and an aggressive nature
Thus in history we find places where the kind of radiation of Hareiars, in union with immature, impure human striving, called forth happenings in which whole armies hurled themselves against other armies, driven by the will to gain superiority and dominion and to destroy the enemy, to sweep him from the face of the earth
And precisely thereby Hareiars did indeed to a certain degree serve the fallen archangel, for the latter adroitly made use of the nearness of Hareiars to Parzival, whom he accompanied to the earthly world, where he was to help him in the transmitting of his power for the tearing down of all that is old and false
Lucifer made use of the nearness of Hareiars to the Earth in order, with the aid of human vanity, to draw the forces led by this servant into a perversion which was to become fateful for a called people
In the knowledge of the Laws, as he well perceives them, he moved the lever and turned the course of things, which instead of to ascent had to lead to destruction
With an expert stroke Lucifer joined several men of this people whom he ruled with the power of Hareiars, raised them to visible places within the nation and incited them, so that all the power bestowed by Hareiars upon the happenings on Earth should be directed, instead of towards the ascent of this people, towards its aggressive volition to subjugate all that was weaker, to subjugate the whole world
Through the quickening of the thoughts of the right of the stronger to rule over the others
The rawness and the harshness of ancient empires emerged together with symbols which were to furnish support for the blazing up of forces towards the most dreadful deeds against fellow-men
The result which came about in human working had to bring ruin of terrible extent
The great forces drawn upon for the conquering assault of this people had nothing in common with the essence of Hareiars in faithful service to the Light
In the immature or impure approach of men there goes hand in hand with the vibration of power and of inner certainty of superiority over others at the same time the wrenching of this kind of working out of the Laws, and thereby all is at last tipped over into manifestations of injustice, into the craving to enslave others, into the endeavour to wipe from the face of the Earth those who seem to stand in the way
Thereby, however, there are formed at the same time forces in which, on the other side, the sublime Haetheine takes her stand as a counterweight, and human working under her guidance, at the cost of great bloodshed, always turns the preponderance of the radiation of Hareiars back at last into balance
This happening thus bears witness that the radiation of Hareiars never belongs in the hands of those men who do not bear within themselves purity, love and wisdom
Dreadful therefore was the result of the wrong use of the working of the servant Hareiars by this people, to the immense pain of Hareiars himself, who had to turn away from the deeds to which in the beginning he had furnished power in the fulfilling of his service
As in a fever this people tossed to and fro, though it had the best conditions for sublime service to the Light, yet instead of that it succumbed to vain arrogance, to fanatical delusion and to the sense of superiority which the fallen archangel slipped to it as an alluring bait
Hareiars, aware that this power was turning against the earthly path of Parzival, his beloved Lord whom he accompanied, threw all his strength to the help of Haetheine, who had meanwhile gone forth together with the assailed peoples in order to halt the advancing evil of arrogance which the fallen archangel had called forth in that people through false leaders
Thereafter he withdrew in pain behind the ramparts of Valhalla, and in the silent space of the oak groves he besought his beloved King for forgiveness
And the Lord sent to him a power bearing within itself the granting of pardon, which rang as a blissful strengthening for the new work of the servant
For a certain time he was withdrawn from the earthly world, and thereby granted it several earthly decades for the seeking of peace and of ascent
This time, however, is exhausted, and Hareiars, freed from the past, is now returning
Now his power will again manifest itself, but in a wholly different manner than men expect
No one among men has any longer the possibility of uniting himself directly with the principle of Hareiars
Only the rulers of the elements can do so, and they will also do it
Men need now to change with all speed, otherwise they will succumb entirely to his power, for Hareiars and the host of his helpers are drawing near to the Earth for the completion of their work
The working of Hareiars is now like the high tension in an electric current
It can therefore bring an unprecedented ascent in the use of the power of Hareiars through co-operation with the other high animistic servants, yet at the same time it threatens with an immense destruction of all things
The command from the heights for the faithful servant runs: now the purification must come
Only in a time to come will mankind on Earth again be able to unite itself closely with the effects of the principle of Hareiars
Spiritualised must every joining of men with the kind of working of Hareiars be, only thus is it then possible to make use of the blessing that lies within it
As has been said, hand in hand with the aggressiveness of Hareiars there goes to the Earth also the protective radiation of Haetheine, which leads to the hastened finding of defence, to which Haetheine inspires those who are touched from the side of the influx of forces of Hareiars
Thereby, in the right use by mature spirits, progress can be shaped in all directions of human working
If the principle of the effect of Hareiars were used in the sense of a struggle with difficulties, for example for the overcoming of diseases, of poverty, of backwardness and also of human spiritual indolence, then his aggressiveness towards these weaknesses would also lead to the finding of ways to progress, of how to deal wisely and rightly with these deficiencies
Wisely and rightly for the very reason that the inspirations for the solving of it would come from Haetheine as the defensive answer to that inward declaration of battle
The struggle for a better existence, waged in pure, spiritualised striving, would lead swiftly and effectively to ascent in individuals and in the whole of society
The condition for this, however, is a high degree of wisdom in those who take part, and as the complete foundation for it a pure, undeviating connection with the Light, with the Grail
Thus much may be moved forward towards a better life on Earth
The foundation for this is man's own inner work upon himself
Much can we men still come to recognise, when in the right manner we attune ourselves to the streams of the great servants of Valhalla, who again and again weave the kinds of their working into the materialities in such a way that man can literally lay hold of them
It rests with us alone whether through our inward maturity we shall again attain the pure connection with the heights of radiant Valhalla
Might we but accomplish it
Then these very forces streaming through the universe would raise mankind to an unprecedented flowering, to the golden age of mankind here on Earth
