The Great Change On Earth

For everything that is to be found on earth a change is coming

The change is so great that it will touch even those things in whose case men today are still quite unable to imagine that they should become different

It may therefore be expected that in some direction absolutely everything will be new

Exactly thus does it descend to the earth in the demand of the Ray of Parzival, in which the Will of God the Father is anchored

From the great worldwide events down to the smallest happenings, seemingly trifling to the human eye, which lie hidden deep from the outer world, everywhere the tension of the approaching demand for change is rising

This demand for change may also be likened to a growing wave which will soon sweep towards the whole of mankind

The wave is of the animistic kind and brings within it the fulfilment of the demand of the Will of God

It is not, however, only the sudden happenings in nature and in the universe, which of course must also necessarily show themselves in subsequent events, but it is above all the threads of fate of each individual person, in which an unprecedented increase of tension will occur

With the length of time in which the approach takes place there grows the magnitude and the penetrating power of the Laws of Creation, which demand the renewed insertion of all individual things into the uniform kind of swinging of the all-embracing Harmony

To these changes belongs also the earthly body of man and the care for it, which comes from the side of the human spirit itself

From the point of view of the development which was originally predetermined thousands of years ago, men on earth should today have a bodily organism disposed entirely differently and luminously irradiated by the Light

They should have developed entirely different abilities from those which they have developed until today, whereby they caused a deviation which in the end became the greatest hindrance to the right development of absolutely everything else

There can be no greater proof of the false path of the development of mankind than precisely the state of the present human abilities and also the general state of human health, which in many individual cases is undermined already from childhood

Today men should be working on earth in a complete interconnection of spirit and body

The receptivity for everything higher that is of supra-earthly origin is in men of today almost completely paralysed

If the development on earth had gone in the original right direction, there would now be here far more people gifted with sensory perception for the animistic activity and also widely open to the inspirations and the helping guidance from the side of the spiritual helpers

This would show itself, among other things, in a fundamentally different state of all the bodily organs, which would be adapted to radiation of a higher kind

In the first place the nervous system of the body would be on an entirely different level of receptivity

Through the nervous system many abilities of the spirit were meant to flow to the body, which through the circulation of the blood were meant to reach absolutely all the organs, so as to glow them through up to the highest degree of the becoming luminous of matter

The way of the spirit to matter cannot go by any other path than through the circulation of the blood and the nervous system, which through the delicacy of its receptivity is closely connected with the radiation of the finer coverings of the soul and of the spark of the spirit itself in man

Through the working of the spiritual inner being everything unconsciously animistic contained in the cells and in all the bacteria dwelling in the body was to be strengthened over a long period, and thereby also entirely raised to a degree of higher consciousness

As has already been mentioned, this would have brought an entirely different direction of development from the one we know today in the case of human health, of age and also in the abilities of the brain

The human body would be here now like the most magnificently polished instrument which serves the spirit as its ideal covering, intended for experiencing in the plane of gross materiality

The earthly body would be a true jewel not only as regards beauty and symmetry, but above all from the standpoint of the abilities of the brain, where the right arrangement of the nerve fibres between the basic part and the thinking part would serve the spirit in every respect as a direct connection of all its coverings in one point

The earthly instrument of the body would not be a brake to the spirit, but on the contrary would be the best mediator for the application of the spiritual volition in gross materiality

That is precisely it, that seemingly small and therefore today overlooked disposition of conditions which would, however, in the result bring to man an entirely different degree of full worth in the experiencing of earthly existence

A free spirit incarnated in a fully healthy bodily covering filled with power

Today almost no one is able to imagine what a difference truly lies therein

The conception of complete lightness and gracefulness in all movements and of lasting freshness under prolonged exertion without a single cause for pain or limitation is only the most elementary difference for at least a first understanding of all the changes that lie between today's earthly life and the original predetermination of what should have been here

Meanwhile the true difference lies in the abilities of receptivity for all the finer divisions of the material worlds while retaining full daily consciousness

What today is called clairsentience, clairaudience or clairvoyance in specially graced individuals would in the whole of mankind have moved much closer to the degree of natural receptivity

This is because in the case of the abilities mentioned it is a matter of the development of the spiritual senses described in earlier texts

The connection with the planes of the supra-earthly kind would through naturally developed sensitivity be made more accessible, and that precisely through a pure disposition in the receiving of the individual nerve plexuses, of which the human body has more than is known at all today

The solar plexus, the cardiac plexus, the pineal gland and the limbic region, altogether the most nerve-sensitive part of the brain, these are all only the best-known parts of the nervous system which make possible, in various degrees, connection with the supra-earthly planes of the work of Creation

If they are rightly tended and developed, these and still further parts of the nervous system can be an immense help to the spirit for a close interconnection between gross matter and the other worlds

Today almost nothing is generally known of these possibilities

But this is precisely the object of the great changes which will come in order to move mankind an enormous distance forward in the development of life on earth in those places where until now much has been neglected through the wrong striving of men

The nervous system as such is also very receptive to the streaming of the Aether

In the abilities of the body there is therefore contained a natural linkage with all the forces which from the higher-lying spheres can penetrate downwards even into the conscious reception by earthman

By opening himself more to supra-earthly perceiving and adapting his life to it through his pure attunement, man can have ever more refreshing streams of the Aether coming into his vicinity

These streams then refresh for him his immediate ethereal and also astral surroundings and enable the weavers of the threads of fate to accelerate the laying aside of all past happenings, which otherwise would remain in close binding with man for a much longer time

There comes an untying of the threads from past paths of spiritual development, which bore within them the need of understanding through living out

The Aether which comes into the vicinity of such an open man creates conditions which make it possible to attain changes for the better in all directions of existence in an accelerated manner

But there is much more than only the mentioned happenings of the finer kind

All changes in the finer parts of the materialities necessarily also pour over into the ever more visible world, until it finally passes into visible form in the earthly world

It permeates into the cells of the body in order to strengthen it in its abilities, which for the greater part are still entirely unknown to men

In the first place, together with the radiance of the blood, the nervous system is strengthened, which is the most sensitive of all the organs of the body

In this strengthening the refreshing streaming penetrates into the brain itself, in which it can begin to work at its disposition towards the original basic kind of activity

Of this too, just as of all the further consequent changes which arise from it, nothing is known to men of today

There is also almost no awareness that all the fine substances too which are released in the brain into the circulation of the blood in order to influence the attunement and the liveliness of the organs are in a certain sense connected with the streaming of the forces of the Aether

The presence of these substances, which through the bloodstream reach even to the most distant ends of the body, brings strengthening for the cells that are there, and by the fact that through their attunement these open themselves more to the Aether itself, which can then enter into them in greater measure, it brings them support for life and, in the case of illness, also healing

Meanwhile, however, it is still necessary to remember that in the development everything that is on the finer level always needs first to be freed from the threads of the burdening kind

Without this liberation from the clinging threads that hang upon a finer level of the coverings than the earthly body, any advance forward leads only to a temporary change for the better, but there can be no talk of a real progress

Fundamental changes can come only where the forces of the Aether pass freely through all the coverings, from the innermost animistic ones, enwrapping and closely surrounding the spark of the spirit itself, up to the earthly body formed out of the substance of gross matter

That is a procedure which, in the sense of spiritual development, we may call a lawful procedure

Without this direction from within outwards it is never a matter of the spiritual progress of man, but it is predominantly only intellectual striving which creates the false impression of spiritual striving, yet it is not the genuine thing

If such striving brings any advance at all, then it is almost always a matter only of abilities of a shallow kind

Such abilities mostly do not stand up to the first test of firmness and of anchoring which are to be proved in some experiencing

As for all the finer kinds of abilities, such as clairvoyance, the foretelling of future development, but also the healing of others, if their own power does not well up for them out of the natural inner foundation of man, then, when they are to prove themselves in some important connection, these abilities as a rule fail

This is not because something of the kind would never be possible in man, but it is because these abilities are not developed naturally, from within outwards, but were attained artificially or even forcibly through the pressure of intellectual volition

The coming spiritual enlightenment which approaches the earth brings, however, a great number of opportunities for the true awakening of many abilities in man

It is best when these abilities unfold inconspicuously of themselves, instead of being forcibly developed

And for this natural development of the abilities of the spirit there leads a path which proceeds from an earnest interest in everything supra-earthly that meanwhile rests wholly upon the Laws of Creation

Thus it is a matter of a spiritual awakening in man which unfolds only through a pure and natural kind of thinking and acting

Meanwhile, to the host of the natural abilities of a bodily covering irradiated by light there belong happenings which today are only with difficulty imaginable to man

Rather we may say that they are matters concerning which men are not at all capable of admitting that anything of the kind could be possible

This only proves how far behind everything is, and thereby so far diverted from the original path that abilities which still belonged to the inhabitants of ancient Atlantis are considered unreal, and if they are spoken of they are held to be fantastic visions

Here belongs the ability of complete interconnection with the plane of activity of the animistic servants

That means penetrating into the interior of gross matter in such a way that it is possible temporarily to be rid of its density and binding limitation

Man is able to a certain degree to penetrate space and time otherwise than the earthly consciousness of the gross material brain perceives it

This has as its consequence the ability to perceive the movement of the individual particles of matter to such a degree that for a certain moment man can attune himself to their total rhythm, and thereby free himself from the density and the anchoring in time as he knows it through his material consciousness

In that moment man can then swing with other degrees of matter and to a certain extent step out of the conditions of the lawfulnesses relating to the gross material manifestations of the visible world

Precisely for all this the ability to connect with the streaming of the Aether can help him, which in its essence does not know space and time merely as we perceive it in the general attachment of the brain to the material world

It is clear, however, that these descriptions are directed already too far ahead to be rightly regarded and received today

It is even more than enough for the comprehension of the brain of men today

Therefore for the time being no more will be said in this direction, although it would be possible to develop it ever further, up to the degrees where one could speak of a new handling of gross matter, to which would belong the vistas of building or the discovery of new compounds and substances which today cannot be known, because they remained withheld from men at the moment when the co-operation with the animistic servants was abandoned

It will therefore suffice if today it is said that all this is a part of those great changes on earth that have been mentioned

In this there is contained so very much that it will be a part of the development of further thousands of years, in which men will learn to swing along with an entirely different rhythm of happening than has been the case up to the present time

It is fitting to add to this that today mankind stands at a few per cent of the knowledge of all the magnificent possibilities which this world offers to them

It is enough to lead to despair how far behind everything is compared with what could already have been attained

It would penetrate into absolutely everything, and human striving on earth would have quite different results than is the case today

Upon everything that a pure human volition swinging in accord with the higher order of the Harmony of Creation took hold of there would rest blessing and the omnipresent help of the animistic servants

In everything one would also proceed automatically from the knowledge of the effects of the Aether as the mediator of an effective power which surpasses all human knowledge of matter hitherto, for it stands above space and time here

In this direction the knowledge of today's mankind concerning the universe and matter remains at a level which may be called very dim

In reality, however, it is a backwardness caused by the lukewarmness of the spiritual inner being, for in man there are all the abilities needed for him to stand at a far higher level of knowledge

It is therefore joy-bringing to know that a change in this is drawing near

The shaking of all the rigid opinions held hitherto will call forth a storm in the world of thought

Revolutionary discoveries will follow one after another together with the changing of the mental disposition of an ever greater number of people

The abandoning of the empty and painfully narrow material comprehension will bring a breakthrough in many spheres of human life

It may be said that after millennia of freezing winter privation the world will at last be flooded by a wave of spring breath bringing the power to awaken

The world will blossom under the effect of the renewed forces

And it will rest with each individual man alone whether he too will wish to be present at this unprecedented ascent of the human race on earth

He alone will determine, through his attunement and his inner awakening, whether it will be made possible for him to enter into these new streams or not

Change is a condition for every creature just as for every individual division of the materialities in the world-part of Ephesus

We find ourselves in the first more serious influx of the changes which belong to the fulfilment of the ancient promises

It should be a reason for joy and courage for all who have waited for the visible signs announcing the coming of the time of the spiritual enlightenment of life on earth
