There, where a human being works in whom, in his maturity and in the rightly unfolded faculties of the spiritual spark, the fullness of his spiritual radiation comes together, there with certainty are to be found those conditions which in the course of time will be the most precious thing among men on Earth

This radiation works like a magnet upon everything that is around

By it both the spiritual and the animistic are attracted

This makes much on his path of ascent easier for him

It may be said that the fullness of a man's radiation in his spiritual accord with the great Harmony of the work of Creation is the most powerful kind of working that can be truly helpful in the present coming of the great spiritual enlightenment on Earth

The fullness of the radiation of the spirit through the coverings of soul and body determines the path and sets the measure of the precondition for a real connection of man with the Light

This holds good for all moments and for all the happenings that are coming

What greatness lies therein, and at the same time what pure naturalness is to be found in it, which always joins itself automatically to a mature human spirit incarnated on Earth, this the greater part of mankind today does not succeed in recognising even in part

Yet the fullness of spiritual radiation will soon be the most important thing that earthman can possess

It is the true possession of the spiritual inner being

It will not be possible to match it by any purely earthly abilities, or by mere talent for some thing, nor by property, nor by anything else that has hitherto counted as valuable among men

All the values esteemed by men until now, which however from the standpoint of the Light were in reality no values at all, will lose their lustre and become of secondary importance

A man without the full radiance of a genuine spiritual radiation will also no longer have the power to influence the happenings

He loses the right to it in that he shows himself insufficient for the administration of the noble mighty powers which for a long time were granted to him as a spiritual creature working in the Subsequent Creation

Among other things this is so because the future co-operation with the animistic helpers rests solely in the connection with the inflow of the power of the Aether

From this co-operation all those will be excluded who do not carry within them a sufficiently pure attunement

For the weavers of human destiny the full value of the radiation will be the condition

It will be the condition for their working for such a man in such a way that, besides the strengthened flowing of the Aether, they will also be able to attach to his path many threads and helps blessed by the Light

Everything else will swiftly lose in strength

This will gradually bring the possibility of freeing oneself from all that is past with unprecedented swiftness

While some will go swiftly forward in the unfolding of their inner faculties, which must necessarily show itself earthly as well, other men will struggle fruitlessly with their weaknesses and shortcomings

Their awakening will thus take place under far harder conditions

We are drawing near to a time which brings all this with it, for part of the great spiritual enlightenment on Earth is the condition, for individuals and for whole nations, that they draw as near as possible to the fullness of spiritual radiation

Something of this kind, however, is possible only in the case where the soul of man is also made whole, that is, healed in every direction

And in this lies the greatest difficulty, for it is precisely to the painful crying of the soul that men lend but very little ear

For the majority all this is pushed aside under the designation of the term “the subconscious”

And this indeed expresses the attitude of today's mankind towards its own finer nature

Men themselves thereby prove their lack of understanding for the impulses of their inner soul-being, in that they designate everything as the subconscious, although in reality it should always have been a natural part of the whole consciousness

But through the fact that everything more inward in man is denied by men in the endeavour to cast doubt upon anything spiritual, all the inner impulses have come under the disproportionate pressure of the intellect, which has thrust them deep beneath its own layer of thoughts

The inner being is shut in and, by the prevailing power of the intellect, locked in a prison deep beneath the layer of the day-consciousness

Thereby the genuineness of the inner being cannot step to the surface in order to take part in the experiencing, with a share in the day-consciousness of man

Men unknowingly suppress what is really valuable in them, for it is precisely the spiritual inner being and the riches of their soul that endure when the earthly body ends its journey on Earth

This, however, is just what materially disposed men have long been striving to force out of their comprehension, in order thereby to simplify for themselves the notion that they live only once, in the present life

For the sake of this they have distorted everything that lies outside the ponderousness of material thinking

They have named the soul the subconscious, and thereby they look upon it as something which for them is settled through the coining of this designation

Yet the soul, in spite of these efforts, lives unquestionably in every man, and together with it all the vibrations of the emotions are living and interwoven, which are known as uncontrollable forms of fear, mistrust and unrest, or as conduct inexplicable by anything and at the same time unmanageable by the intellect in certain moments of life, when a man acts outside his customary ways of behaviour

There is unimaginably much that lies in this and that in the end necessarily reaches into the outer world as well

It brings much misunderstanding in dealings with one's fellow-men

Often this misunderstanding concerns one's own self as well

There are many moments when a man acts impulsively in some instant of experiencing, without having in himself the strength to master himself

Not seldom it is then excused by saying that there are in man inexplicable shadows or fears, or other uncontrollable reactions whose origin is not recognised

There is talk of heredity, or of the taking over of influences from the outer consciousness of society as a whole

We often meet with stubbornly convulsive explanations which strive at any price to deny anything finer in man

Whatever breaks forth unexpectedly from the inner being to the outside, and cannot be controlled by intellectual influence, is hung about with lofty medical names, although it is always a matter of one and the same thing

It is a matter of something that is necessarily connected with the soul-nature in man

There make themselves heard the imprints of the past which, through the most varied events, became part of the garment of the soul, on which this left its traces

All this is in today's world summed up in one term – the subconscious

By this the intellect seeks to convey the explanation that it is a matter of something secondary which can be suppressed by the will, or with the help of medicines

Thereby it is to be confirmed that the faculties over which that day-consciousness of man rules are the most important

The intellectual brain, by occupying the whole brain, strives to perceive itself at the summit, for through its pressure during the greater part of the day it overtops that soul-subconscious, and thereby appears far more important

For most men the intellectual day-consciousness is that to which they devote all their life-force, however much their inner being calls in every moment for the claim of awareness and understanding

The setting of human attention has for a long time been, and today is all the more, directed only to the outer intellectual degree of comprehension of everything that happens

What takes place within is overlooked, indeed for the greatest part suppressed with all the power of the intellect

In reality everything is entirely the other way round

The greatest part of human impulses in everyday life proceeds from places of which man knows nothing, that is, from the places of the wounds and pains of the soul

These are happenings whose essence the ponderous intellect will never grasp

In the endeavour to label it all and to place it somewhere, the intellect arrived at the opinion that it is a matter of the subconscious, which is a random happening in which one can never fully find one's way

He therefore named it the subconscious and added a little label with the cautioning warning that it is a region in which no man is fully at home

That he thereby suppressed that part of the soul out of which, similarly as with the waves of the sea, ever new deposits are washed from the depths onto the shore, that is, into the conscious perceiving of the day, this was never rightly recognised

Onto the shore are washed ancient wreckage as well as the most precious treasures

Many a time the one is thereby mistaken for the other

The treasures of the soul all too often do not fit into today's world

And there is still far more that is continually washed up to the surface into the conscious daily life out of painful wounds, or on the contrary out of the abilities and experiences of the soul

Most often, however, we may speak of inscribed experiences imprinted into the covering of the soul body, which then in the form of emotions reaches the outer perceptible plane of the earthman

From this in the end there also arises the greater part of bodily illnesses, and even a great part of the defects and limitations brought along at birth into life

The overlooking of the soul has become the heavy lot of many, who are exposed to the incomprehension of the majority, which calls their difficulties a confusion of the subconscious

Yet the receptivity of the soul is an inseparable part of human experiencing

More than half of all the decisions of all men proceed from the experiences of their soul covering, which carries within it the imprints of past journeys in the gross material and in the ethereal worlds

It is easy to grasp that the time of the past century of earthly history alone, with all the hardships and pains which men inflicted upon one another, brought it about that almost every soul covering of the people who lived on Earth in those times carries many places showing injuries or even wholly open wounds

But it goes still much further

Often in much of a man's present conduct there is an imprint influenced by experiences from ancient times, which are laid down in parts of lives already forgotten

The soul continually drags its wounds and pains along with it and calls them up to the day-consciousness, so that this may be rightly accepted and in the ensuing experiencing at last healed

Only through healing can the spiritual radiation then become more whole and more mature, for only then does the soul cease to bleed from the open wounds on its garment

The fullness of the spiritual radiation which passes through the healed and luminous mantle of the soul is the most precious thing that earthman can experience within himself

His own spiritual fullness becomes a perceptible peace and a help for others

Men have not yet grasped the immeasurable value in the spiritual fullness that lies in the radiance of the free living of the spiritual spark, which is unoppressed by painful experiences of the soul from past times, or also by heavy experiences arising out of the present life

For the full-valued working of the spiritual magnetic attraction the condition is a continually lived, entirely free consciousness penetrating from the inner being right out to the outermost of human existence

In this is to be found everything needful for life

Liberation on the plane of the soul means liberation from many threads which have gripped the soul perhaps for whole centuries or even millennia

Above all it also means the complete release from the grip of dogmas of opinion, which men take over through the upbringing of the family, through schooling, through creeds and through all the other voluntarily adopted views which are acquired mostly in earthly childhood and adolescence

In this respect we may find here many examples from the time of the earthly life of the Son of God Jesus, who through His conduct, in which naturally only a fully free acting ever had part, astonished His disciples, who thereby showed the dependence of their comprehension upon all that had been implanted in them by the way of life of that time among the Jewish people

For the disciples and for the hearers Jesus very often spoke and acted incomprehensibly

It was only because the Son of God was not fettered by dogmas, as was the case with His followers, who in their spiritual kind had in the time of childhood absorbed into themselves the surrounding world, without being able to retain thereby the knowledge of their own independence and freedom from the opinions and rituals which accompanied them throughout the time of their upbringing

And it is therefore now a great challenge for everyone that he, for himself, should be able to free himself from the threads of the past gripping his inner soul-being, just as it is needful to attain the liberation of his thinking from the dogmas which are enforced with great power in human society as it has been hitherto

It brings the demand for the highest inner movement, so that the mentioned liberation may be attained on all planes of human perceiving and experiencing

There are, however, very many helps which are always around

The understanding of the principles of the unchanging laws, which work in absolutely everything, is a great help to everyone who with honest striving works at the liberation of his inner being and of his day-consciousness

To such a man there may draw near, through the living perceiving of great things and of the smallest, a spiritual guidance which leads him to an ever greater comprehension of the great connections, in which the radiance of Truth gradually appears

Truth in its all-embracing nature brings into the comprehension of the human inner being the needful refreshment and strengthening for a clearer insight into, and experiencing of, everything that draws near to man

Clarity in the consciousness is the preliminary step to the mentioned fullness of spiritual radiance

The fullness of spiritual radiation is then that which we may call the wholeness and the wisdom of the human spiritual inner being

It is just such a radiation that works with mighty effect upon the spiritual and upon the animistic, as has already been mentioned

Therefore everyone who longs to attain harmony within, in his thoughts and in his whole life, should strive with all his powers towards this degree of conscious experiencing

He will attain it through the fact that his own fullness of spiritual radiation will in a natural way connect him with the Light and with the Harmony of that highest kind which vibrates in the wholeness of the work of Creation

Such a man will be happy, however his outer conditions of earthly life may correspond to the possibilities of the helps which penetrate into his nearness out of the weaving of his own threads of fate

The Alphar will be able to weave for him the best that is made ready for his earthly path through the wise guidance of the Will of God

The greatest part of men have not the least inkling of all that is contained in the Wisdom of God

Neither do they know that the most ideal way to draw near to this Wisdom of God is the fullness of spiritual radiation in man

Men who long in the near future to help to influence, through the animistic weaving, the further development on Earth should today occupy themselves with the utmost seriousness with the fullness of spiritual radiation in their inner being and in their thoughts

Therein lies something great which has not yet been discovered by present-day mankind

In the end everything rests in it

That which men wish for in their most fervent imaginings may be fulfilled for them solely through the fullness of spiritual radiation

This is so because in it, together with the quickening of the spark of the spirit and with it the liberation of the soul from all oppressive threads, there is contained everything needful for the fulfilment of the new precondition for a pure and true building up of life on this Earth

When the needful part of earthmen grasps this, then a change will swiftly come about which will penetrate into all parts of human existence

The demand for this change stands before us and with every day draws nearer

Hence so much calling which resounds from within, that it may at last receive attention on the plane of the day-consciousness of man

The souls of many men now want to free themselves, for it was for this liberation that they incarnated on Earth

They were drawn by the radiation of Truth, which as the only help can through its nearness convey to them all the equipment for liberation

All too much, however, does the earthly intellect hamper everything within

Therefore the power of the intellect will be taken from many men for their simplification in all experiencing, which in the end will prove to be the greatest help

The simplification will come even before the actual spiritual enlightenment manifests on Earth

It will, however, require the co-operation of everyone, for from a great part of the threads of opinions and dogmas that bind the spirit man needs to free himself, for himself, independently and voluntarily

If, however, he shows for this a sufficiently intuitively felt volition, then the help of the Light will be able to be granted to him

In every respect, however, something such as the liberation of the inner being cannot be accomplished against the own will of man, but only together with him

Thereby the division is given in advance between those men who will receive helps and those who will not

The choice of the further path rests in the own will of every man

May there be as many as possible of those men who will soon attain the fullness of spiritual radiation

It will help them and many other men who find themselves in the midst of the approaching happenings on this Earth
