The Earthly Body – a Wonderful Gift of the Animistic Servants to the Human Spirit

Readers of the work the Grail Message have the knowledge that the earthly body of man is the outermost and also the densest covering which the humanly spiritual spark receives on its path through the Subsequent work of Creation as a gift for use for the possibility of its development

Just like all the preceding coverings of a finer kind, this covering of a gross material kind too is the result of the faithful work of the animistic servants

Without the wise and careful preparing of the conditions by these servants, man would never have been able to develop in his spiritual abilities

He would not have been able to do so simply because he would have had no supports for his radiated volition

Only in the forming of a space, with all the wondrous forms to be found in it, may the spiritual volition of man find a support for its application in Creation

Just as it is in all the finer planes of the animistic and of the ethereal kind, so finally the conditions for the densest space of the universe here were formed by the animistic servants

This space for use on the plane of gross materiality, that is, on the planet earth, which men call the earthly world

Whenever man may receive the opportunity to come to this earth, which is a needful part of his ripening and development, he receives as a gift from the animistic servants the earthly bodily covering, which forms for him the support for his experiencing of life here

The spiritual in man may thus connect itself with this space through the instrument of the earthly body

It is not in reality an incarnation as it offers itself in the conceptions, that is, perhaps a complete merging formed by the sinking of the spirit into the body, but it is a happening of the mastering of the body by means of the radiation of the spirit, which finds in the earthly body a support for its experiencing

The spirit masters through radiation the body granted to it

The connection of the spirit with the earthly body takes place through the fine tissue of the connecting radiation, whereby in the end the awakening to consciousness in the body on earth appears as a reality about which a great part of men no longer even reflect

For a great part of men it is something so strongly ingrained and self-evident that many in their conclusions are convinced that there is nothing other than the earthly body

The earthly body forms for them the support for the spiritual spark so perfectly that it is hard for them in their sensory and intellectual consciousness to accept the reality that in their foundation they are of another kind than what the bodily covering offers them outwardly

Even otherwise good people in the end often doubt, or even entirely reject, their own spiritual origin

They suppose that all that which they are proceeds only and solely from a material origin

They thus become narrowly materially minded in all the experiencing of the happenings which enter into their life

And yet in reality their spiritual substance remains of another kind as against matter and is connected only through the magnetic radiation which masters the body

The spiritual will penetrates through radiation into the blood and into the nerves and forms during the time of life so strong and living a close connection with the organism of the body that many earthly men then no longer occupy themselves with the truth of the kind that their essence is a spiritual spark which by its origin has nothing in common with the earthly world

Although this is alas not known today to most people, the spiritual origin is nevertheless that original essence of the possibility of their existence in the work of Creation, and thereby of course also of their living on this earth

The possibility of an intimation of the spiritual origin of man is here at all times

We may say that this reminding is ever-present

It appears in many small things and through these it is reflected into the life of every man

The spiritual origin of man is recalled from the beginning of life on earth almost at every step, lastingly and strikingly

It suffices only once to become aware of it with seriousness, and then suddenly man will see it in everything that happens with his body, the difference between the outward material experiencing and the inner spiritual impulses, which perhaps everyone necessarily acknowledges as the most personal awareness of himself

It is that so well-known inner consciousness which is often in many respects remote from the outward earthly world in which the gross material bodily covering moves

The earthly body is a life of its own, which is formed of the unconsciously animistic kind, is connected through radiation with the gross material cells of the organism and has nothing in common with the human spirit apart from the connection in radiation

The body of man is therefore in its foundation of a materially animistic kind

Only to this structural foundation, which is formed under the hands of the animistic Alphar, is there joined, at a certain moment of the ripening of the fruit in the womb of the mother, the spiritual radiation which forms the bridge for the spiritual substance of man

This joining of the spiritual radiation is called by more knowing people incarnation

But it is in reality not an incarnation as such in the sense in which it offers itself to the understanding, that is, that there would perhaps come about a merging or otherwise a soaking of the spirit into the earthly covering of the body

The spirit remains for itself and is joined to the body through the connecting radiation

It is therefore not so that it would be of itself connected with every cell and with every particle of the body, as is hitherto held by spiritually striving people

This connection takes place through the mastering living radiation, which mediates the perfect transmission of all the experiencing of the spirit towards the body and also back in the direction from the body to the spirit

The spirit is connected through the bridge of the soul radiation with the at first astral prototype of the body, and this already denser astral radiation works again further and, through the circulation of the blood and the vibration of the nerves, enlivens the body

Already in this people should recognise all that is connected with it

Folk wisdom has also observed it in many sayings

For instance it is said that a man is at various moments of life absent in his spirit

That means that he is more directed towards inner impressions than towards the earthly happenings which run their course around him

However much this may appear, from the standpoint of the demand of the present world, which lays emphasis upon outward wakefulness, as something wrong, for certain moments of the growing up of young people it is something natural and also in a certain direction important for the connecting with purer planes in which the inspiration of the ideal is to be found

In the case of growing girls there is spoken here and there of dreaming, which however in reality is connected with the transforming of the inflowing radiation from the spiritual inner being, which belongs to the ripening of the maidenly delicacy of the body, and thereby also of the radiation of the blood

It should be valued as a certain treasure of pure dreaminess, instead of people mocking it or even rebuking this dreaminess as unsuited to the raw world of matter here

Also some people appear through their detachment from the experiencing of the full present in such a way that they are spoken of as a body without spirit

When sickness shows itself, people say that they are not in their own skin, which again is connected with the radiation of the circulation of the blood, which in sickness is different than in the time of full health

The spiritual radiation is then more loosened, and in high fevers it can go so far as the distancing of the soul and delirium

At the same time, however, it is also said that a man may intuitively perceive something to the very tips of his fingers

That means that the connection of the spirit with the body is indeed through radiation, which on the one hand makes it possible for the spirit to be in part loosened and detached, but at the same time this connection can be so far perceived that the body may fully experience with and sound together with everything which takes place in the spiritual inwardness of man

Also the spirit may feel everything which happens to the body, and this through the net of the nerves which connects it with the material shell

That testifies to a wonderfully prepared instrument which is bestowed upon the spirit for use during the duration of the connecting radiation, which is called earthly life

Although this radiation connects the spirit with the body, the body is never the possession of the spirit, as people alas think hitherto

It is always only graciously lent to it for use

That is something so new in its content that people first need to feel it through very well in order to come to the very essence of these new connections

That of which people hitherto thought that if perhaps to nothing else here on earth, then to the earthly body they surely have an indisputable exclusive right, is now placed entirely into a new picture for the understanding

The body is primarily in the administration of the animistic, for it was from the beginning, through the building up and the forming of the astral prototype and also the very development of the material shell in the womb of the mother, always and only under the effects of the weaving of the Alphar

Only when everything fundamental in this body is formed, that is, when the form is ideally ripe for the receiving of the connecting radiation, is it made possible through the circulation of the blood for the spirit to connect itself with the body so as to learn gradually to master and to use it ever more

There is in it something admirable which will only in the coming time, in the true understanding of a more enlightened mankind, ripen to the degree of a thanks-filled extolling of the Wisdom of God, which gave the animistic servants the task of preparing all this for the human spirit through the development of the forms of life here on earth

All that swings therein, if men may experience the happiness in which their earthly body may perhaps enjoy complete health and strength, receptivity and sensitivity to all the touches of their fellow men, the warmth of the rays of Apollo, the coolness of water and the wafting of the breeze, all this will one day be for men, in full experiencing, the reason for a tremendous step forward in the knowing of the Creator of the work of Creation

Today, in the presumption of the tenacious laying claim to everything which men consider to be their property here on earth, they are not yet ripe to accept it, so as to be able to feel through in it the splendour which lies in the fact that through the earthly body there was bestowed upon them a valuable time, for whose duration they may fully participate in everything which happens on this earthly step of gross material life

This is made possible for them by the earthly body corresponding exactly in density, which through radiation the spirit may to a certain degree administer by the radiating of its will to master the body

It rightly holds good that this happens only to a certain degree

It is so because out of a part of the spiritual radiation there is woven the thread which, as the silver cord known in part to men, brings the radiation which is the nourishing and driving power for the unconsciously animistic, which forms out of the single particles working independently a living whole

This phenomenon of the inflow of power through the silver cord shows itself primarily in the so-called vegetative nerves, which drive the body to life independently of the conscious will of the spirit

We may say that the power flowing through the silver cord enlivens the body independently of the further radiation of the will of the spirit

All the basic, so-called vital processes in the body therefore take place independently of the will of the spirit, that is, independently of the conscious volition of man

Be it the beating of the heart, the breathing, the happenings in the digestive tract, the activity of the glands and yet much else besides, all this takes place similarly as when a house which is given to a tenant for use has electricity, water, the drainage of waste, also heating and yet further functions belonging to the running of the house already installed, all this working independently of the tenant who has moved in

They are vital processes which medical science has already recognised as necessary for the maintaining of the vegetative state of existence

If this power flows to the body sufficiently, the body can live independently of the direct manifesting of the spirit

It is, however, a state of surviving, not such that we could call it a fully valuable life

Here science ought to work together with people fitted for clairvoyant perceiving, whose abilities are truly proved by long years of experience

If therefore some patient is in the state of vegetative existence, then a man fitted for this clairvoyantly should observe in calm what the reason is why this state came about and what the further prospects are for improvement

As a rule there are two ways

The first lies in the condition of the healing of the material part, when from the direction of the spirit there still comes radiation making possible the return to a fully valuable life

The second then needs to have the confirmation that the spiritual has not moved away so far that the return is already very difficult, if not entirely impossible

These two basic kinds of cause of a certain separation of the radiation which flows through the golden band of radiation always have at the same time yet many gradations, which it is not needful to analyse here

It is important that the band of radiation, which brings the volition of the spirit through radiation to the gross material body, should be sufficiently strong and clear

If, however, there flows to the body only the silver cord enlivening the vegetative activity of the organs, and the golden band is weakened, then full worth in the manifesting of the spirit through the earthly body will never come about

Even if it were possible to induce the nerves of the brain to activity, the body will never be fully capable of transmitting keenly the manifestations of the spirit

There will then remain here only a vegetatively living body, in which the endeavours of the spirit to express its will will penetrate stumblingly and dimly

The same holds good if the brain, as the chief transmitter of the will of the spirit, is somehow damaged, or does not develop sufficiently in its growth

Then the striving of the spirit for a brisk manifesting in the body will be for ever curtailed and made impossible

In anything of the kind, however, there always plays a part the past of one of the people concerned living on earth in the nearness of such an afflicted man, and often it is also the result of the weaving of threads from the past of the spirit itself which is afflicted by something of the kind

Then the care and considerateness towards a spirit which cannot manifest itself fully in the body helps and is often the fulfilling of some laying aside of threads drawn from the past

Now, however, let us recall once more that there are two basic connections of the spirit with the body

The first is through the solar plexus, in which lies the power for the actual forming of the body and its enlivening in the nerves

The second is the plexus of the heart, through which flows, led in a delicate golden radiation, the living will of the spirit to the already existing, fully unfolding earthly body

With the activity of this plexus there is connected in a fundamental way the organ of the thymus, whose task in the development and strengthening of the golden band of spiritual radiation is exceedingly important, and it will therefore in the future be sufficiently clarified

The present more detailed knowledge about the earthly human body and its connection with the radiation of the spirit is an unfolding of the basic description of the connection of the spiritual kind of radiation, as it is with all consistency described beforehand in the Grail Message

Everyone who longs to know everything still more is to occupy himself with it down to the finest little steps of investigation, and this also on the basis of entirely new findings

In the measure in which he penetrates ever more into the depth, everything described above will only be confirmed to him, and thanks to that there will also emerge for him a picture which will bear within it the glorification of the Wisdom of God, which showed therein to the animistic formers of the earthly body the way, so that the resulting human earthly body might in the best manner serve the human spirit as a support for its application in this part of the gross material world

If the investigating and the knowing is conducted objectively and consistently with regard to the right interconnection between the spiritual radiation and the earthly body, then everything described above will always only be confirmed and will therefore always hold good without need of changes, even though the knowledge itself can be unfolded many times more, up to the degree of the most detailed knowing of all the connections

The result for the objective investigator will thus always be only further knowledge about the admirable fitting together of all the parts of which the whole consists

This picture will also always bear, down to the smallest little steps, accord in the confirming of the true spiritual significance of human life

The man who expends his strength upon this will discover for himself much that is important, which will then help him to grasp this earthly world in its possibilities and also in the limitations which it undoubtedly has as against the finer planes

The objective investigator will therefore expect nothing unnatural from the world here, but at the same time he will find how many important connections mankind still does not know to this day, because the right foundation for it is lacking to him, which from this standpoint is to be found precisely in the immeasurably valuable work the Grail Message

The Grail Message was granted to men so that they might work with it briskly

It was never to be something which looks like a marble statue wreathed with flowers, around which people walk on tiptoe with a devout expression and at the same time a warningly raised finger pointing to its sacred untouchability, but on the contrary it is to be taken up lastingly again and again for the purpose of new work and of the knowledge coming out of this work about the work of Creation and about the Creator

The Grail Message belongs far more in the working hand of that man who does not fear its desecration when he ponders over the words and sentences in the Grail Message, weighs them and sometimes even doubts, and this especially when at the beginning in his seeking he comes upon only seemingly marginal clarifications, which of course can happen if his spirit needs all this in the most living exertion for its living working through of the knowledge

Only thus does the knowledge of the Grail Message, in the sense of the radiation of the Truth, become the possession of the human spirit

Only then, when he exerts himself and his spirit works briskly

The Grail Message as a whole surely always holds good even under the greatest onslaught of questions from the side of honestly investigating people

For that, however, these questions would first have to come

But the immobility in the thinking and intuitive perceiving of many people, which is outwardly displayed as an exalted reverence for the Holy Word, is in reality only a sign of a certain ease in the work of the human spirit

Let us take as an example the understanding of the concept of the small and the great brain

Already this is in an unbelievable manner set upon a cumbersome foundation which appears as a block of stone hindering further progress

Many readers content themselves with the explanation of the concept of the back brain, or small brain, that it is a matter of the so-called cerebellum

There can perhaps be no greater error in it, if a man is finished with this explanation, considering himself according to the letter of the Grail Message as one who knows

In reality by the back brain, or also the small brain, there is meant something entirely different from the organ of the cerebellum, which serves other matters than the transmission of spiritual vibration

From this it follows that by the concept „back brain“ the author of the Grail Message means a different part than the readers of this work generally explain it to themselves

And so it is also with many further parts of the knowledge lying in the Grail Message

The Grail Message needs to be in the hands of men a livingly vibrating jewel which every day bestows gifts upon those who deal with it as with a key for the knowing of the whole of the work of Creation

Through inactivity this work containing the Holy Truth of God has remained wholly unused by men, instead of being the draught of spiritual life, as it should rightly already have been turned to account by men

Much looks otherwise than it is handed down on earth among the readers of this work of the Truth

If we let the Ray of Light penetrate for only a moment into all the reflections and conceptions hitherto formed by men on the basis of the reading of the Grail Message, then much will at once be set in motion and will light up like a shem which sets into activity the great movements of life in the whole work of Creation

There is a great difference between the reading of words and sentences and the living receiving of the Truth in pictures which are creative, sounding together with the whole of the work of Creation and swinging together with the creative activity of the animistic servants

But where is the fulfilling of the call of the author that the readers of the Word of Truth should be visible from afar in the work of Creation of the Holy God as living spiritual flames

So then, only upwards, forward in living striving, in creative reflection, in objective consideration, and above all in living intuitive perceiving for everything which is to be an inseparable part of the conscious path of the human spirit

Dogmas on the way upwards only hinder and form impenetrable ramparts against the free and unhindered flowing of the Light to the livingly moving human spirit

From the Light there is now called in urgency to all human spirits for their liveliness and mobility

Only in such an inward attunement to the vibration of an inner being joyfully advancing forward is it possible now to expect help and strengthening from the Light

The Ray of Parzival flashes above mankind and … demands the spiritual movement of a pure striving upwards towards the Light

This movement is now the foundation for everything else which belongs to the maintaining of the connecting radiation between the spirit and the earthly body here on earth

And precisely this connecting radiation will in the future be permitted to be brought to the earth by the animistic servants only from those spirits which prove themselves as living

Heightened movement is supremely important

Let everyone therefore be truly brisk in his spirit and also in his body

Let no one grow rigid to such a degree that the earthly body must in the end remain empty, without the vitally important radiation of the spirit
