Truly great is the host of those people who today would like to know in advance how everything will develop further and what all is still to come
Many of them desperately seek answers to the questions of how things will change and take shape, and that if possible down to the smallest details
Some are driven to it by anxiety over accumulated property, another wishes to know how it will intervene in the habits he has acquired for the satisfying of his everyday needs, many other people then wish to know how their businesses will go on, or again an entirely different part of mankind would gladly know how it will affect the travelling about the world to which they have grown accustomed and which today they take as something quite self-evident, that one day they are at home and the next day they already find themselves at the entirely opposite end of the earth
And still other people again wish to know forecasts of a natural and cosmic kind for whole years ahead, in order to know how it will be with the harvests of their farms and whether it will make any sense at all to embark upon new plans here on earth
Among other things there lies in this the answer to why precisely now so many scientific investigations are emerging which occupy themselves with all manner of trivialities
Endlessly men dissect something which in fact they have never rightly recognised
In their insensitive manner they endeavour to intervene in nature in an effort to master it, without suspecting what forces they have thereby set in motion
All the matters mentioned prove together how very many people hang with their concentration only upon material interests
A part even reckons that if they themselves already knew today the further development of events, they could have some profit from it by turning this news into money or somehow using it as an advantage over other people
Such is the present state of men, and it is not at all otherwise
But beside the materialists there are here also people who look towards the coming days with anxiety from other motives
They are driven to it by thoughts which proceed from spiritual anxieties about themselves and about those close to them and their friends
Everyone wishes that circumstances would develop favourably for him and that anything not good, if it is to come upon the earth, would either not reach them at all, or would come at least in such a form as will be manageable for their human strength
Many people already distinctly sense that above the earth a vault is opening and that from the planes above it there stretch threads compelling each individual man to the redemption of the faults of the past
Subconsciously it resounds in the inner being of every man, if only he will devote his attunement to it
It resounds through space, and many events in the heavens bear witness to it ever more distinctly
It is not, however, a reason for fear, but is solely and only a strong summons to deeds
Everything is being set in motion
What is being enlivened most of all is that spiritual call in the inner beings of men
Until now it has for the majority remained largely buried, but now, in the unexpectedness of the events piling one upon another, this is changing
Therefore in the inner being of many there resounds a quiet call which reminds them that here is the highest time for movement forward, and that in all the changes which need to be carried out
But because a great part of mankind does not devote the right receptivity to the great preciousness that lies in the awakening of their inner being, all this remains unused
The inner being would show them the way to the wholeness of knowledge
But for many there remains in their inner being only an unconscious presentiment of serious changes which will bring to everything existing a shaking and a collapse
A dim presentiment is the hardest thing that could have come
It sounds deep in the soul, but it is not recognisable, it has neither face nor form
Therefore over everything in the majority there spreads a gloomy expectation of primarily unfavourable prospects
Something of the kind, however, is only a confirmation of the long-standing mental disposition of men
The majority is set upon the expectation of catastrophes instead of the coming time being received by them as a great opportunity for a fundamental advance of their inner being, which in reality the coming development also is
Only quite a small number are those who look towards everything that is coming with confidence, in the expectation of an improvement of everything that must still be set right in the human world
The events that are coming bear within them the possibilities of a complete awakening from the long paralysis of spiritual receptivity
The paralysis was caused by a long-standing manner of thinking set only upon matter
In what is coming there therefore lies the promise that this state can change for the better
Everything can move towards a clarification up to the degree of the purest creative enthusiasm permeated by a newly illumined noble intuitive perceiving
This should be made use of already now, in every moment of the present
Already the present lived today bears within it unprecedentedly precious opportunities to change everything for the better on the personal plane of the individual man
The pitfall, however, lies in the fact that man watches external events far too much and derives from them whether he himself too will fare well or not
Daily men devote their attention predominantly only to how and along which way the threads of the great destiny-events of the whole of mankind will be drawn further
External social events are watched without the awareness that precisely thereby man is losing a great part of so very precious a time
This time is to be turned to account for one's own spiritual awakening through the recognition of the great lawfulnesses, which are a lasting support for the ascent if they are rightly used by man for good and pure striving
Most of all man can change in his own life
Yet men devote a disproportionate part of their daily consciousness to external events
Precious spiritual power is literally squandered upon the endless judging of social events, although it does not lie within the possibilities of the individual to influence therein directly even the least thing
External events cannot be influenced by the individual towards a good development otherwise than through his own purity of the all-embracing volition for good
And this purity is precisely clouded through the discord which sets in at once when man begins to judge the external world in all its shortcomings and weaknesses
But men do not believe anything of the kind, for it is ingrained in them that only external happenings influence the earthly world
It is a manifestation of mistrust in everything that swings on a higher level of radiation above gross matter
That, however, is insinuated only by the intellect
Like a fish upon the hook which the tempter has set, men in a learned manner watch only the external happenings which they endeavour to encompass with their intellectual judging
Only to the external is the attention of man's consciousness devoted, and thereby all the precious power of the intuitively perceiving inner being is given to it as well
And because men devote to it a great, even morbidly disproportionate share of their inner forces, which are for the greater part directed only at external events, there then remains to them for their own threads of fate only a very small amount of time and of strength
This will prove to be a serious mistake, for precisely in the focusing upon one's own becoming luminous can the individual man find the way out for everything in his existence
Nothing can intervene in the path of man more than he himself permits
Not even out of the external world of intellectual men, today still seemingly abounding in great superiority of numbers
The radiation of the soul automatically calls to itself the threads appointed by the Justice of God for redemption
This happens for the greater part on the plane of daily unawareness
The threads form themselves exactly according to how the spirit and the soul radiate, and something of the kind, by its fineness of kind, stands entirely outside the receptivity of the brain
Every man necessarily radiates into Creation
This arises from his nature of the spiritual kind, which can never work otherwise than magnetically attracting, and that through its volition
It may also be said thus, that no one draws to himself anything that is not attracted by some kind of magnetism through his own radiation
According to the volition of man his small and his great threads of fate are formed
It suffices to look pictorially at how man stands in Creation as a mediator who radiates his volition into space with magnetic attraction
The enormous gearwork weaving the threads of life works immovably and exactly according to the Laws laid into Creation by the Creator
Everything happens with the unshakeable, peaceful matter-of-courseness in which only the Vaenen and the Alphar abound
Peaceful too can be every man who is aware of his own power, which lies in the lasting conscious radiating of good
If many happenings rush towards him, then these can move only through homogeneity in intuitive perceiving outwardly and also through thinking or acting, otherwise it is not possible
And all these automatic happenings in human fate now come under an unprecedentedly increased pressure
Therein lies the difference compared with earlier times
Towards the earth there streams with each day more Light out of the Ray of Parzival
More Light
However much this appears as a threat, it is nothing other than God's help inclining towards those on earth who long for the Light
Together with this Light there comes the opportunity of liberation from all past threads
That means the promise of changes for the better
By its essence the Light therefore brings only liberation and a way out
It brings the possibility of release from the hitherto snares of thousands of dogmas that have arisen out of the false conceptions of men
Whoever therefore fears the near and the distant events confirms in his own way that on the subconscious plane of the soul he too evidently hangs in some direction upon dogmas which call forth in him fear of the further development
There, where in man there dwells the real freedom of the pure spiritual kind, fear has no place to take hold
Confidence in the good development of all things and the walking only upon pure paths is the best defence against collapse
To man as an individual there is almost never given the ability to survey all the happenings which approach the earth through the universe
He may, however, bear confidence in his inner being if he himself lives in pure joy and temperately, without in any way consciously harming other people or the other creatures
Therein lies the anchoring of the confidence which affords the certainty of a right development in the life of man
Even if in a single moment unimaginable events were raging around him, in his anchoring lies the power of victory
The condition is that pure volition, thinking and acting
Purity, however, does not hold good according to the conceptions of man, but according to the Laws in which the Will of God works
Between the conception and the reality of Purity according to God's Laws there prevails among men a long-standing abysmal depth
Therein permanently dwells the faultiness of a great part of human conceptions
According to God's Laws it is precisely never valid that the end stands above the means in the actions of men
A good goal can never be fulfilled by dark ways which seemingly accelerate or simplify the attainment of its fulfilment
If the way to the attainment of the goal, however lofty this may be of its kind, deviates even for a moment from vibrations of the pure kind, then there can never again be talk of a resulting nobility of character of the goal
The goal becomes only the fulfilment of human conceptions, in which, however, the blessing of the Wisdom of God can no longer dwell
This measure everyone can set for himself as a basic pattern for any paths of his activity
Where there prevails a deviation through the use of impure ways during the striving towards the goal, there God's blessing cannot be expected
Under the pressure of God's Laws a collapse will finally come, even if this collapse were to be of longer duration and thus outwardly created a temporary illusion of blamelessness
It is then already only the fulfilment of the wishes of men, and not an accord with God's blessing
The All-Wisdom of God does not use the ways of injustice and of the oppression of others
If any part of the Ten Commandments of Moses or of the indications of Jesus in the Beatitudes is violated, there can come no building up, but downfall
This measure applies to all degrees of human activity
Here belong not only politics, international interests, frictions of opinion in the divergence of the perception of social conditions or even wars, but here belongs also commerce, with the manner in which men come by possessions and by monetary gains
In the first place there falls under the measure of the Ten Commandments of Moses the spiritual, that is, the intuitively filled activity of each individual man in the way he thinks and acts each day towards his fellow men
From the ways along which men proceed through life there unwind for them necessarily and without delay new threads of fate
Therefore we find so many ruins which would not need to be at all if men approached good intentions and noble goals only by the ways of pure and honourable action
In the end everything must collapse that does not stand firm under the sharply clear Ray of the Justice of God, which alone decides what will be further supported and what will not
If someone therefore asks what the further development of events on earth will be, it is possible to answer him with simple words: “What volition you have within you, how you think, how you act towards others, exactly so shall it be done unto you!”
Not, however, according to the judgment of man, but solely and only according to the effects of God's Laws
The greatest pitfall for the majority of people is the fact that in their actions they always demand that the Will of God should be on their side
That it should help them, because they are convinced that it must be so and in no other way
They do not comprehend that these are only limited human judgments which on their own account they wish to force upon the all-embracing quality of the Wisdom of God, which through the Laws of Creation guides the worlds from eternity to eternity and thereby works far above all the swarming of human opinions
The Truth working therein has not yet become the possession of men, although they have help enough to receive and to comprehend it rightly
But the intellect always wishes to dispute with this Truth, for it supposes that it knows everything better
Therefore men cannot yet comprehend the Truth in pure rightness, and even when it is afforded them in the written form of the work of the Grail Message, they make of it with their intellect again and again a foreshortened dogma which they sometimes carry as far as fanaticism
That, however, confirms only one thing – they have not comprehended the Truth in its whole greatness, in which it is given to the human spirit for recognition within the framework of its kind
Succumbing to the intellect and also to their inner deficiencies and immaturities, men tear out of the Truth parts which they consider to be whole
From this, however, there can never arise a building up in the true sense, as is expected and demanded by the Wisdom of God
If man uses the old manner in which the intellect plays the chief role, it will always reach only the degree at which the building up comes to a halt, in order then to begin to crumble and to collapse under the effect of God's Laws
And just as it is with the human building up around the work of the Grail Message, so it is in worldwide events
Never will peace and tranquillity be attained by men unless they long with their whole heart precisely for tranquillity and peace in accord with the whole work of Creation
The coming events, however, bring in this an unprecedented help for all, in that everything incorrect will collapse many times more quickly
We are directly participants in this and no one stands aside
Towards everyone there rush the threads of fate bearing within them exactly that which was woven into them by volition on all the earlier paths through Creation
The pressure of the Light demands of man that this be comprehended and laid aside by him and finally also rightly used, in accord with the Truth, that is, in accord with God's Laws, for a new building up
From this everyone can quite calmly and freely deduce what all is still to come and what will need rebirth in an entirely new understanding of the essence of human existence
Those who are open to this can therefore go joyfully to meet it all
Other people will then still have around them for a certain time opportunities to awaken and to step forward in the new spiritual enlightenment
In everything there ever prevails the Love of God, however much the many shakings of the old structures will be for those who hang upon them a painful happening
In the end, however, every man can learn from it all, if he for his part will so will it
Everything therefore lies entirely in the hands of the individual man
As he wills, so shall it be done unto him in an ever swifter reciprocal action
