The Coming Great Transformation

Above all the happenings on earth there hovers, in the most recent renewal of the blessed Power of the Holy Dove, the promise of a great spiritual enlightenment

The streaming of the Spirit of God stands but closely above men

Seen from above it is well-nigh incomprehensible how greatly men must exert themselves in flight so as to remain far from the spiritual streams which now surround the whole earth round about

In the twistings of the intellect they seek to avoid every moment in which they might in some way be overtaken and struck by the mentioned spiritual streams

Men seek to slip away from all that is connected with a stirring of their intuitive perceiving, which would lead their spirit to awakening

They take refuge in an ever greater superficiality, in the belief that thereby they will escape the questions about the true meaning of their life

They will let nothing of it come near them, sensing that the bitter reality would then show itself to them, that hitherto they have lived a manner of life which lacked a high aim of a noble spiritual kind

Any deeper thought leading to a vibration of the intuitive perception, through which the recognition of the emptiness in which he inwardly finds himself might come upon a man, is therefore driven off by the men of today far in advance

Whatever leads to reflections upon what follows after the earthly life is thrust aside by an intensified chase after material things

The concentration upon the matter of gross materiality is thus subconsciously undertaken with the wish that thereby the dread of what will come afterwards, when the earthly life reaches the very end of the path, may be drowned out

Men appear as fools in their supposition that in this way it can be kept up permanently until the last moment before the end arrives

And because for the human spirit this is something wholly unnatural, it demands an ever greater exertion of intellectual activity for them to take refuge from the awakening in their loops of thought

The awakening, however, will come soon in any case, in order to shake their whole life

Upon many it presses already today

With all their strength, in clinging to things of a material kind, men must stifle the voice of the Spirit of God, which with every day presses more loudly upon their inward conscience

The covering of eyes and ears does not help, however, for the pressure of the happening from the Light is so mightily strengthened by the influx of the Power streaming at the Festival of the Holy Dove that in the end no man escapes its influence

Ever more loudly the inward voice makes itself heard, speaking of the emptiness of life if the knowledge of all that is spiritual in man is not a part of it

It is as though from all sides there now sounded the urging towards the awakening of the spirit under the influx of the Light, which grows ever stronger

The demand for spiritual enlightenment is to be found everywhere and in everything around earthmen

Spiritual enlightenment will therefore also soon become the most important expression for the majority of men

Alas, many will indeed hear of it, without however making use of its living strengthening for their ascent

They will rather join that multitude which in the future will no longer have upon this earth the opportunity to make use of further grace-filled helps from the Light

They will rather give up the promise of a lasting existence in the spiritual worlds than become new in their inward purification and ennoblement

To these multitudes will belong all men who, like overflowing pitchers, are taken up only with their own opinions about how rightly to provide for themselves for the time of their sojourn here on earth

In their conviction that they know everything best they have clear notions of how, in their view, social life and the whole world happening ought to look

They live with the thoughts that the earthly life is but one single opportunity for existence, and that whatever is not gained in this life will never be again, because with the end of their earthly consciousness absolutely everything ends

The intellect, overfilled with self-assurance and strengthened in this hitherto prevailing attitude by every means of science, assures itself and others again and again that this is right

Materially attuned men live in the conviction that they know everything best

Daily they confirm themselves in it by reading and taking in the thoughts of other materially attuned men, with whom they have gradually become homogeneous

They move in a circle which was craftily impressed upon them from without by Lucifer's minions into a scheme of thought through the centuries-long repetition of the words that the only right view of life and of the world rests upon the understanding that the material world is the most important thing for every inhabitant of the earth

The majority opinion of the material world as the only kind of life has become a mighty rampart of thought, over which today only few men succeed in passing

Only few are able to surmount the mighty wall of proofs created by the intellect, which separates them from all the further life in the Work of Creation

Only a small part of the men on earth occupy themselves with anything higher than the inert repetition of the daily round here

For this, however, they often need the experiencing of events of the heaviest kind, which tear them out of their half-sleep, so that all this may bring them to a genuine search for answers to the serious questions

The majority, however, are content with the lifelessness of their spiritual receptivity

These will remain hanging for some time yet in the world of politics and will further endeavour to hold the world in the old grooves

To the point of exhaustion they will be ready to hold forth about social conditions, about the ideal of a class order, about the money questions connected with it, and also about how time will be used by men for amusement and travel, that is, for general enjoyment, once human labour is replaced by hitherto unknown methods of production founded upon the new findings of scientific progress

They will not even become aware that their time on earth has run out, for the grooves they see, proceeding from the hitherto prevailing direction of mankind, are in reality no longer a part of the further development of life on earth

It can only be called a persisting delusion of the many who, however much they sense in their inner being the wholly fundamental necessity of changes, nevertheless suppose that things will go on solely according to their dreamed-of notions

Everything, however, will now be otherwise than mankind expects

The material conception of the world as the hitherto strongest current of thought is overcome through the influence of the strengthened Light streaming towards this part of the universe

It is possible to speak of a coming great transformation which will reach into all spheres of human life

Mankind will discover how deeply it has sunk into forgetfulness of the spiritual dimension of its existence

It will therefore be a great surprise for it that the first thing now demanded of man by the All-Wisdom of God is precisely his inward awakening for the coming time

That hour is here in which we are even now entering the time of the great spiritual enlightenment

And this spiritual enlightenment will bring a great transformation of all life on earth

It comes at a time when it is least expected by mankind

With the influx of the new Power of God into Creation, however, the advance of the pressure of the Light bringing the spiritual enlightenment here on earth is already not to be halted

Mankind in its hitherto intellectual revolt will succumb to the incomparably higher Will residing in the Spirit of God, which will bring the binding of the human will through the acceleration of the reciprocal effect of the threads of fate

For many there will be contained in this the complete collapse of all their hitherto notions about human life

Only few will recognise in it from the very beginning the promise of the genuine building up of a new human existence on earth

In defence of the hitherto notions of the intellect, individuals as well as whole nations will seek to resist the new

This will bring about an increase of the most senseless deeds

The social world will thus for some time toss about as in a fever

Chaos will become a part of life, penetrating into everything

What today still counts as certain and as the right direction will already tomorrow no longer be acknowledged, but on the contrary will be held to be evil and will become a ground for persecution

Immediately thereafter, however, a new change will come, so that the original returns again and what was temporarily celebrated is persecuted

It will follow one upon the other again and again

There comes the collapse of the hitherto certainties built up by the intellect upon wavering foundations, which rested only upon that which is of a material kind

They were always wrong foundations, which rested only upon that which was of material origin, upon what was tangible and visible

Thus it will drag mankind about until such time as at least a certain part of men open themselves inwardly and comprehend that this world, under the heightened influx of the Light, is becoming a new and more spiritual place in the universe

Only with this recognition will calm and peace set in

It will be liberating for all those who comprehend that the new world of mankind needs to proceed from the reawakened intuitive perceiving as the lasting determinant of all outward deeds

The conflagration of unrest fed until then by the confused conduct of mankind will swiftly be mastered by the deep inner peace of purely vibrating souls

The Circles of the Peaceful will, at the determination of the Will of God, govern the world and will bring inspirations for the founding of a lasting peace among all men

Then there will come a building up such as has never yet been here, for all the difference in the maturity of men will be tempered by a mutual conscious helping of one another in the ascent to the Light

The discords born of the hitherto irreconcilable judging of men by one another will become a thing of the past, for the determinant of everything will be trust in the good striving of one's neighbour

The fundamental driving force of the new building up will be an obliging readiness to help one another, balanced at the same time by the pressure of the Light in the unyielding, matter-of-fact demand for the fulfilment of the foundations of purely human conduct

But it is precisely upon the fulfilment of the foundations of purely human conduct that, at the beginning of the coming great transformation of the conditions of life on earth, many will strike who suppose themselves to stand high above others

Under the pressure of the Light it will be revealed in an accelerated manner what the actual inner being of the individual man is

At first this will be visible only in small things, which only the most alert men will observe

It will show itself, for example, in the ever greater use of coarse and indecent words there where those around would never have expected them

It will show itself also through the endeavour to undermine trust in one's fellow men by caustic remarks that shake the worth of their personality

It will show itself further in the uncontrollability of all the desires hitherto concealed in man, such as the endeavour to dominate one's fellow men even at the price of visible deception and of tampering with the truthfulness of things

Falsehood will become a part of every second sentence of such men

All this will become the ever more visible forms of conduct of all the unhealthily oversensitive souls saturated with vanity

Gradually it will grow stronger, until for such men the outward mask which hitherto could conceal the true state of their inner being becomes no longer tenable

In the end these despairing ones, uprooted from a healthy manner of life, will manifest themselves through their unbridled irritability and through supremely ugly attacks

It will be the visible fall of men with a polished intellect who hitherto could appear as very clever, having ready answers to all questions

It will burst out of them outwardly against those fellow men who appear to them as threatening their influence and their power in this or that matter, where they themselves had their carefully considered plans and intentions

It will be entirely the same whether it is a matter of the family, of friendship, of a community, of employment, of the state or even of influence upon the whole world

Naturally it will be most visible in the public sphere of society, that is, in politics and in commerce

We can observe it in many places already today

Under the pressure of the purifying influx of the Light, however, it will strike absolutely everywhere where men are not able to become childlike simple in the pure attunement of their inner being

The foundations of human conduct will be shaken everywhere where there is not sufficient genuineness and also maturity in the spiritual nature of man

To the comfort of the many who fear these happenings, however, it will in the end pass over quickly

The animistic servants have prepared for this happening the threads of development along which the coming events will be compelled to move in obedience to the Will of God

Under the pressure of the new influx of the Power of God into Creation it will proceed along accelerated paths

Also because in part we have already for some time been wading through these unlovely happenings, which are nevertheless necessary from the standpoint of the purification

It is taking place, and it will grow stronger still

But it will spend itself only within the space of a few years, so as at last to make room for the true life of those men who deeply and fervently long for a peaceful ascent formed upon the new foundation of spiritual recognition

The great transformation is rolling through the whole of mankind, without the majority sensing even the least of it

The result will be a new comprehension of life on the part of a great number of those men who today would not for a single moment admit such a thing

So strong will be that transformation of which nothing is yet known today

It is, however, already working now, tearing down and breaking all the hitherto ramparts of thought formed by the heavily materialistic conception of the world

Much will yet be torn down by the irresistible advance of the Light

But it will always contribute anew and the more to the ascent of individuals and of the whole

The awakening in the spirit has for long not been so accessible on this earth as it will be in the near future

Whoever does not make full use of it for his own transformation will then have no further claim to any words in his defence

Never on earth has the whole knowledge of the spiritual foundation of man been more accessible than it is today

It is to be found around men in written form and also in forms of thought which with every day grow stronger and gain in their beneficial influence upon man and upon society

The dawn of the new age of mankind is no longer to be held back
