Just as cold mists lay themselves upon the earth in the early dusk of autumn, so precisely upon the thoughts of many men will there press the misty glooms of hopelessness, called forth by those who gladly rule other men through fear
As a rule these are fanatics, the greedy for gain, spreaders of lies and gossip, sensation-seeking scribblers, tyrants and otherwise men distorted in their souls, who always prove that they have not within them even a particle of a real human conscience
And alas, they will now succeed in calling forth among whole multitudes the fear of the further weeks and months, perhaps even of whole years, which now lie before men on earth
Many will be undermined by them in their confidence in a way out of distress
At the same time many will also be goaded into angry, resisting conduct, which will manifest itself in a similar way as it is wont to be with an animal driven into a corner
Thus for a great part of men this autumn will really bring a touch of cold, misty darkness into their thoughts
But it will happen so only because the anchorage of the said greatest part of men is not in the Light, but with all its strength hangs upon earthly supports, which, however, often swiftly collapse in the shakings of outward events
The seeming durability and cohesion of the world as it has been will slide downward and will not have the power to return back
Thereby many men will remain in a space without the securities which the world of today still affords them, those securities which are created only by men, upon the ground of their narrowed conceptions of the rightness of earthly life, yet lacking the needful anchoring in the Primordial Laws of Creation
Many men do not rest with their inward confidence upon the recognition of the Wisdom of God, and therefore their world will gradually collapse, for all those who set for them the course of everyday life and whom they have hitherto trusted will now vanish and in the most important moments will leave them to the mercy of fate
So it always is when there is expected from human abilities that which the All-Wisdom of God alone can mediate
Only the All-Wisdom of God can mediate true help to the human spirit
But men have rejected everything coming from the Divine and have set the intellect upon the summit, in order then to give their inward confidence to those who in the use of it have swung themselves into the role of the learned and of leaders
The intellect, however, will fail in the most important point of the testing and will leave all its admirers without help
Its throne, built up on high through millennia, will crash down and will cease to exist
It will show itself as a false path, which ends precisely at that place where the most serious questions about the meaning of human life are to be answered
The intellect ends everywhere where help is to be sought which springs from places into which it is not possible to penetrate with earthly sight
This will bring the result that it will no longer be possible in the hitherto intellectual direction to expect the hope of a turn for the better
Very many men will feel this as a betrayal of their confidence and will fall into a mood which will bear within it, together with forsakenness, also the conviction that there no longer exists anything at all which could afford them confidence and consolation
And yet it would not have to be so at all, because for the human spirit it is the simplest thing, with its inner being in confidence to lay itself into the arms of the Grace of God, so that there may come to it out of these arms the strengthening whereby everything may be spiritually and also earthly mastered to a good result
For this state of the “laying of oneself into the Grace of God”, however, earthman needs to return to the foundation and to fight his way through with his inner being through the doubts of the intellect
He must win his path through the adversity which even today the intellect, issuing out of a limited, material view of the world, lays in his way in distrust of the All-Wisdom of God
At the first glance the observing of man today leads, in almost everything around him, to the impression that nothing is under the protection of a Divine kind, and that men who are good most often reap precisely pain, harm and suffering
That, however, is only a limited observing, distorted by the intellect for the creating of distrust, because the intellect, or better the darkness working through the intellect, fights in such a manner against the awakening of the spiritual inner being in man
The intellect brings disintegrating thought-forms which are to shake the spirit and lead it gradually to closedness and to the rejecting of anything higher, for in the proofs of the intellect this higher appears as non-existent, or at least as not helping there where it is needed
Perhaps everyone knows the many proclamations of men who seek to make the impression that they reflect upon things
We know that cry, “How can God permit this or that which is now happening on earth”
Yet none of the men who bring these and similar arguments, which are to shake the faith in the help of God, builds his foundation upon the conviction about God and His servants working in the Work of Creation, that is, upon the knowledge of deeper connections and upon the conviction growing out of these connections, which is the condition of the spirit for the laying of itself into confidence in the grace of God
None of these adversaries of God can say that he first really rightly recognised the Will of God, also directed himself by it, and that it nevertheless afterwards betrayed him, just as it is wont to be among men
Something of the kind cannot be said even by the greatest opponent of God, for truly and rightly to occupy oneself with the Creator and His Will in the Work of Creation means something wholly other than what these men imagine
As a rule there is lacking to them, already at the very beginning, the will to a matter-of-fact and consistent occupying of themselves with these things
Such men only prove that in reality they never wanted to recognise anything, but only superficially uttered their reflections, founded upon a limited pondering about the world
Men who undermine the confidence in God and in His help for themselves and for other men have in reality never striven for the understanding of the Truth about the Laws of Creation, and therefore they only fence with chance concepts which seem to be great
In reality they disclose the emptiness of their own thoughts, in which there is lacking the needful honesty for the understanding of the world in which they themselves nevertheless without doubt must live, and which arose solely out of the activity of the animistic servants who work faithfully in the Laws of the Will of God in Creation
He who has the will to recognising penetrates ever more deeply, and to his eyes there then opens the prospect of the true working around him
Only he who has found the complete recognition of the Truth about the effects of the Laws of Creation, only he who has applied the effort to an independent understanding of the interweaving of the happenings issuing out of the working of the High animistic servants in the Work of the Subsequent Creation, can now rightly recognise why this or that happens
The spirit which longs to bear within itself peace and harmony even in the most tempestuous happening needs to know the Laws of Creation, and also needs to have within itself lastingly that clarity which issues out of the living knowledge of that which is really important for the human spirit – the recognition of his spiritual path
Without the knowledge of the Work of Creation, without the knowledge of the Laws of Creation, and also without the knowledge of the path which is prepared for every human spirit from here, from these distant planes of the materialities, up to the spiritual home, there cannot now dwell in the inner being of man a real confidence, because this issues solely out of the conviction about the perfectly working Laws of the Will of God in Creation
Also a merely outwardly learned knowledge of it all, not livingly received, often does not suffice to bring the conviction about the help of God around man
If it has not become a really living experiencing of the spirit, which clearly beholds before its inner sight its path in the bright and distinct threads of its own volition, then man is still easily shaken from the side of the intellectual undermining of the confidence in the Light and in its help
Only for him who walks through life with a clear prospect upon his further path, for which he gives out of himself only the best, the purest volition, can his further existence be woven as unshakably surrounded by Light
The setting of this prospect can dwell in him, because his pure thoughts are already joined with a new outlook upon the world
He is already in a new perceiving, in which the world of matter becomes a part of the great path of the spirit, and in which the shakings on this material plane of being are for him an experiencing and an acquiring, yet do not lead him to the awakening of fear and anxiety beyond the measure bearable by his spirit
Thus all that will still uncover itself as the working of the darkness, which will seek to shake men and in the calling forth of fear to rule them even unto rash deeds, all this is to be used by knowing men as the best material of learning for their spirit
Precisely in all that will work among men and wherewith men will argue for the calling forth of ever greater uncertainty and fear, all this is to be used by knowing men for the hastened ripening of their spirit, that they may be permitted to resound in harmony with the great working of the Light which spreads itself over the earth
The more everything will be shaken under the cries of the deranged and of the visionary, who will seek to make uncertain the souls of individuals and of nations, the more is all this to be used precisely for the recognising of the true effects of the Laws of Creation, which only bring to manifestation that which was born out of the free will of men, and which also work disintegratingly always only because of their complete ignorance of these Laws
Every new recognition which in living grasp enters into the spirit will then be to it a still greater strengthening in the conviction that we find ourselves in the time of the culminating Judgment of God
All this, however, is to bring consolation instead of fear and anxiety, for the Judgment of God brings only the hastened Just adjustment of all that has arisen and arises out of the volition of men
If therefore the spirit stands rightly and in confidence in the Laws of God, if it works only purely and harmoniously, then this must bring to it the uplifting of its inner being, it must bring it only nearer to the luminous home in the spiritual planes
What will happen upon the path of this drawing near to the luminous home, and that especially here on earth, is only a partial component which with the departure from this earthly existence passes away
Therefore there is here no place for fear and anxiety, but only for fervently experienced confidence in the Grace of God, which can draw near to every man who lives a pure and just life in the knowing flaming of his luminous spirit
That is the foundation for the ever more evident conviction in confidence towards God and His faithful servants, the animistic servants in Valhalla, who bring the fulfilment of the Laws of Creation to all places in the Subsequent Work of Creation
These exalted servants lead all the threads to man in such a way that there comes into his life only that which he really deserves
Therefore it may be said that he who with all his strength works upon himself, upon his own purification, is protected by that same power which for others must bring the real collapse of their world as it has been
The Circles of the Peaceful are to bear within themselves the confidence in the help and protection of God, which can be over all who are pure in their manner of life
The Ray of Parzival will bring into their life movement and changes
But all this will be only for the support of the spirit, for the setting into flow of new inner forces of man, not in order that such a man should be painfully stricken, but that his spirit may blaze up to the highest luminosity in the joyful experiencing of the nearness of the Light
Let therefore the coming days bring only prospects of progress in the recognising of the gloriously working Laws in the happening here on earth
Every moment of it is to be used in the right attunement, filled with courage and with creative power which seeks ways how to help all those who become awakening ones, seeking answers to the many questions emerging in their inner being
Towards all that is coming one is to look with that confidence that the exalted animistic servants work unwaveringly in the fulfilment of the Laws of God and bring to every pure man much help to be used in his advance forward
The victory over all glooms and fears is brought by the clear prospect upon the Laws of God and upon their working, which fulfils itself unceasingly for the help of every spirit finding itself in this Subsequent Work of Creation
The Circles of the Peaceful are to prepare themselves for a victorious, bright shining in their inner being, so that the power of their conviction may radiate into the distance of the misty autumn days and nights
Through this radiance of theirs they can still awaken many a wearied man, overcome by fear and by hopelessness, and pour into him new confidence in a way out in all the things which are a part of human life
After the glooms the sun rises again
The victory of a small number, in their inward laying of themselves into the luminous weaving, can bring victory for whole multitudes
Where there is pure confidence in the Graciousness of God, where there dwells faith in the Just weaving of all happenings, there can the Light dwell even in the time of the deepest darkness
In his inner being the knowing man is to be able to lay himself with confidence in prayer into the arms of the Grace of God, which will not reject him, but will receive him, in order in its strengthening kindliness to strengthen and to uplift his spirit to a step which no claw of the darkness can reach
Then inner joy and deep inner peace will spread themselves in the spirit which drinks from the spring of the Light, so that, refreshed, it may be permitted to step forward, like a bright flame shining into the distances of the dusk
Everything around us lives and weaves, and the way out of it is pure enthusiasm, the harmonious striving of man for the helping of other men, in the full awakening of his spirit striving towards the Light, towards God
