The Circles of the Peaceful – Trust in the Coming Times

To keep peacefulness within the inner being in the times that are coming will be possible only for those who bear within themselves trust in the help and in the leading of their spirit from the Light

For those who wish to belong to the Circles of the Peaceful it is needful to prepare themselves for a span longer than that for which men today are willing to prepare themselves in their thoughts

Before earthly mankind there lies more than a decade of fundamental transformations of life upon the earth

More than ten years, out of which there will at last arise a planet cleansed and set free from all that is oppressive, which has clung to it through thousands of years out of the complacent conduct of men turned away from the Light

For this time, which it is needful to perceive as yet only in broad outline, without clear bounds, those must prepare themselves who wish to stand firm, so that they may one day be permitted to walk upon an earth reborn in virgin purity

In this time of years following one upon another the greatest part of all that we know today will be changed

That which today weighs upon many a one, and out of which he seeks to conjecture the course of things, will after some time become wholly without object, for it will be blown away into the past and not even the smallest trace of it will remain

At the same time, however, there will emerge wholly new happenings, and together with these happenings also helps of which men today have not the least inkling, and if these were spoken of today even by the merest hint it would lead many to shake their heads in disbelief, or to doubting smiles, and this even among those who are acquainted with the Word of Truth

Unwonted helps stand made ready for everyone who in trust opens himself to the working of the Light which, in steady strengthening, draws near to this part of the universe

In its vibrations there is contained so much help, and yet men are not able to grasp in their thoughts even the smallest part of it

This is in part because in our reflections we today proceed from what now exists, or still rather from the past, from that which has already at some time become an earthly experience of mankind

Therein, however, lies the reef, for the happening proclaimed through long ages, that with the coming of Parzival the new would dawn, always at the same time called to remembrance that together with the coming of the new all that is old would also pass away

Therefore it is only with difficulty that the greatness of the transformations can be grasped, and the thoroughness with which these changes will penetrate into the nearness of every single man

Even into the deepest vibrations of the inner being of each one of men there will enter the pressure of the Luminous Ray, calling inexorably for the redemption of the past, so that together with the answer to the question “What manner of man art thou?” such a man might then go onward in his further striving towards the dividing point of the turning, and thereafter, in the granting of grace, if it may come to him, step forth into the new

Today the measure of the changes is still gauged from the standpoint of the old, in which many seek to find a support for their conceptions, without anyone being able to grasp that it is again and again the same endeavour, in the willing of a better world, to seek ways of improving the old

Such attempts and conceptions will also gradually lose their significance

The new, which descends step by step through the spheres towards this small earth, is of a wholly different kind

It is of so strongly a different kind from what we are today able to picture that it passes wholly by all the present reflections of men

And this new is new precisely because it brings with it the setting in place of a higher will above man, a will that fulfils itself with all consistency

In this direction it is the forces of the animistic servants which will gradually hold a far stronger part in the life of men

They have already in part received dominion over the human world, and they will receive it in still far greater measure out of the blessing of the radiation of Parzival, which will be added to them for the final curbing of that human self-exaltation to which men have grown accustomed through thousands of years, in the time of the gracious respite of God's patience, which through long centuries and millennia still permitted them to range themselves of their own free will within the Laws of God

Now we stand at the beginning of the changes which will bring this submission of man to the ruling forces, wherein the high animistic servants of Valhalla will have a great part

These servants are they who work unceasingly in the nearness of earthly man, and who at the same time swing unswervingly and faithfully in the fulfilment of the Laws of God

In this their faithful swinging they will now be still further strengthened and quickened by a part of the primordially spiritual ray of radiation, which will dwell here through the long time of the promised Kingdom of God, of the luminous working upon the earth

For this earthly world it will therefore be they, the high animistic servants, who in the first rank will bring into the movement and the striving of men, in the new strengthened radiation, those changes which will be strongly imprinted upon the new conditions of the life that will at last unfold anew upon the earth

The exalted majesty of Parzival of the Power of God has no need to set here a lasting garrison of luminous knightly legions of the spiritual kind, nor is there any need to leave here hosts of mighty angels or archangels who from the vault of heaven would newly watch over the life of men, but it will be precisely the servants of Valhalla, in the first rank, who in the strengthening of the principles wherein they severally work will bring into the earthly world harmony and therewith also order, wherewith they will newly compel, in an unwonted effect of power, an obedience bringing a lasting heightened pressure upon the conduct of earthly men

In the simple happening a strengthening of this kind will be the new which now, in the time of transformations and of the discharging of the reciprocal effects of human conduct, will intervene unexpectedly in the life of each single man

Therefore also is so much room given to these exalted servants of Valhalla upon the pages of The Way of the Grail

It was not that men should merely delight in the pictures which bring these servants nearer to human understanding, and still less that upon these pictures the endeavour of many should be displayed to measure their own surmises about these animistic beings against the descriptions of the real and exalted principles in which these servants work

The descriptions and the pictures which bring nearer the mighty forces and faculties that plunge into the material worlds the radiant currents streaming forth from the halls of Valhalla are now given to knowledge so that at least some readers may find in them a support for that new which is coming

The heightened power of the working principles in which the said servants labour is that power which, in union with the high radiation of the Grail, will now firmly grasp the human spirit, in order to lead it to an experiencing wherein it will first learn to know its place, and wherein it will thereby also be able to make its own those manners of action which sound in accord with the great harmony of the work of Creation

In this power there will also be contained, ever more intensely, the swift expelling of all that is not able to swing purely in unison with this harmony

All that is inharmonious, distorted and far from the pure spiritual radiation will be swiftly uncovered and cast away as harmful and therewith as not belonging to the new age

Thus in the descriptions given of the exalted servants there lies a great help, for in the right understanding there is indicated to man his new path here upon the earth

A path which will demand of him a transformation such as he has never yet wrought upon himself, and therefore he cannot even know how that new looks, since in truth he knows not even the very least of the working of God in Creation

Earthly man knows nothing save himself and his wishes, and also his presumptuous conception wherein he holds himself to be the most important in the whole unimaginably vast work of Creation

With this hitherto existing attitude of thinking of a great part of men the high animistic servants stand ready to make an end

Yet as has also already been said, in the working of the high animistic servants there is contained not only that heightening of power which, in union with the Ray of Parzival, will curb the free will of man, but in this new ordering there are also countless helps and glorious prospects which still await their discovery by men

To these prospects, however, man needs to fight his way through by his own striving, in the pure seeking of a wholly new life

It does not therefore hold good that he will merely proceed cheaply from what has existed hitherto and seek within it, in the accustomed human manner, only improved and mended forms

All these forms in which we still dwell are marked as unfit for the new age

Into the age which will dawn after a longer time of the necessary transformations that are beginning to unfold, the forms of the old ways will not be able to enter even in the smallest part

The old forms will, in the time when the purified new existence of mankind upon the earth sets in, also have long since become a thing of the past

This, however, will take some time, for men are now, under the pressure from the Light, to free themselves and to loose themselves from all that is old

Nothing therefore will be transformed from one day to the next, but gradually, in the single degrees of the strengthening of the radiation, together with the falling away of the old, the morning of a new existence will emerge before men

And with every new ray of the emerging new there will also pour into those men who are able, in purification, to set their spiritual inner being in the leading place of their volition and of their action, in exchange for the hitherto existing self-seeking and calculation of the intellect, a new kind of power and of joy

Together with this there will also be strengthened in their consciousness the trust in these helps, and thereby they will learn to sound in unison with these helps and to deal with them in a purely and lastingly maintained humility

We stand now at the very beginning of all the happening, which will have its appointed length, needful for the complete and irrevocable transformation of the present life

It will yet take some time, and it will not be easy to pass through it

Yet even now those who bear within themselves reverence and pure humility towards the Laws of God in the work of Creation may look forward in trust, towards that which is coming

Pure trust will beforehand bring into their inner being a peacefulness and a peace like the balm of an inward happiness, which will be lacking precisely to the countless hosts that cling convulsively to the old

Whoever learns to lay his spirit into the arms of the Mercy of God will have, together with an inward stilling, also the needful connection within himself for the knowing of that new which is emerging

Such a one will be surrounded by the strengthening currents of the high animistic servants of Valhalla, and thus many a grave and threatening happening will be able to pass him by

He will pass with a blessing visibly akin to a miracle through all the times which still lie before us and which bear within them great upheavals for the present world

Laying our own will unceasingly into the great and wise Will of the working of God, let us at the same time seek the connection with the animistic servants, who are they that will for the greatest part carry out the work of the Judgment of Parzival over the universe of the world part of Ephesus

Let us look forward in trust, so that not one single ray of the dawning new age may escape our sight

All that is important now lies before us, and the guide for passing rightly through it all is our trust in the servants of God working out of the halls of Valhalla, thus fulfilling the changes of life upon the earth that were promised by the Light
