The Circles of the Peaceful – the Touch of the Light

Forces invisible to the earthly eyes of man circle about the Earth, borne upon the wings of the animistic Orkanos

An outwardly invisible happening works about man and also within man, and thus prepares the ground for the penetration of the Light, which grows ever stronger

For the one man it serves his uplifting, his joy and liberation, for the other the hastening of the paths that lead to the end

The Power working in this happening is the power of a radiation which now bears within itself a tremendous acceleration through the striking force of Hareiars, which this mighty servant of Valhalla himself draws from the Ray of Parzival

Thus much comes to life that until now has slept, and this quickened, awakened life draws to man the invisible currents which at once approach him

It rolls in among men, to work as an unexpected whirlwind which tears man out of his hitherto existing roots, if upon the garment of his soul he carries enough places for it to take hold

All at once man may be struck down by an invisible force which his earthly eyes could not perceive beforehand

It was the Light itself, streaming forth from the Ray of Parzival in its strengthening pressure, which passed beside him in order to touch the threads that are connected with the innermost volition of his spirit, and thereby reached him also

The course of events may thereafter be light and easy to bear, but it may also bring hardships of an unprecedented kind

Everything depends solely upon man, in what measure and with what swiftness the forces of the animistic servants may break in upon him along the radiant Ray of the Light, forces able to build up and to heal, or to crush and grind all things, able even to destroy his body

All the working of the high animistic servants is now helpful to this radiation of the Ray, so that at once there unfolds a happening which but a few days ago could still have seemed as something impossible

The Light flies down from the heights to man, in order to touch him in his most important places, exactly there where weaknesses and vices dwell, or, on the contrary, where virtues and purity live within him

It is the spirit of man which now, through its state, through its attunement, furnishes the first cause for the further development that follows

The greatest part of mankind, alas, bears within itself only lukewarmness and a drowsiness of the inner being

Their spiritual spark sleeps

This sleep, together with the impure threads which may be bound to man out of his former or his present volition and attunement, then determines the manner and the vehemence with which the Light, driven by the pressure of Hareiars, will suddenly break into his life

The Light will touch the inner being of every man in direct connection

It must touch him, for the balancing of all things is part of the further direction of his paths

The violent tautening of all the threads connected with man may suddenly wrench him about and cast him wholly out of his hitherto existing direction

Yet no one stands in this without help and protection

Thus it is precisely the Circles of the Peaceful who, through the vitality of their intuitive volition and through the purity of their inner being, are to be best prepared for the mentioned touch of the Light, which will surely come to them also

This time, without a gentle knocking beforehand, it will all come swiftly and violently, like a strong tension which pours over into the earthly body as well

Those who wish to belong to the Circles of the Peaceful are able, in the purest and most earnest striving towards the Light, to bear this violent tension with a certain ease and an inner trembling, which after a while is at last transformed into jubilant joy and happiness, for which there will be for them no outwardly visible reasons

Only inner joy and happiness will be within them and around them

Refreshment and the rebirth of forces are indeed to be the true manifestation of the Touch of the Light upon the inner being of man

In reality this should be a certain experience for well-nigh every one of men, if only they remained in the living intuitive striving of the inner being towards the Light

Then the effect of the touch of the Light, whose influx is now intensified by the vehemence of Hareiars, could, in the pure opening of the inner being, be for all men only a strengthening and a cause for joyful becoming luminous, for the Light bears within itself all that is helpful for the human spirit striving upwards to the spiritual heights of Creation

The impact and the violent shaking, or the wrenching, will occur only there where the spiritual spark in man has grown faint and has lost the ability to endure the nearness of the Light

This, alas, has in the distant planes of the materialities become the lot of a great multitude of men

Therefore we can now, and still more shall we be able in the future, to behold how the touch of the Light manifests itself in many men through unexpected effects

Their unaccustomedness to the connection with the Light will show itself as a violent jolt in the otherwise tranquil line of their life

To many a one it will bring hardships which lead him into a struggle for bare survival, or he will even be led away from this world, because the set of his thinking is so strongly rigid within him that it does not permit him to resolve upon a change

And yet change is demanded of all men, if they wish to pass through the coming happening into the new age

The condition of entry into the new age is this, that man needs to be wholly reborn in his thinking

Thus for the one it is his excessive comfortableness that hinders him from thinking anything through of himself and from seeking answers, the second lacks the strength to free himself from the accustomed way of life with its “little faults of tactlessness”, the third carries within himself an inclination to unjust criticism of others, the fourth cannot forgive his fellow men, the fifth man again wholly succumbs to a merely material perception of the world, another has fallen prey to a fanatical, dogmatically narrow-minded clinging to his faith, yet another despises the preciousness of his body and destroys it with childish bad habits

Many more of the faults and weaknesses of men could be brought forth, and the spiritual harmfulness pointed out which is bound up with them and which in the end brings it about that either such a man, awakening at the last moment, changes himself voluntarily through one single strong decision and casts off his unlovely habits for ever, or else he will be led in affliction to an experience which gives him the choice – either change for the better in painful experiences – or a closed gate to the coming time upon Earth

Yet how many are there upon Earth who bear within themselves the courage to change themselves voluntarily for the better once and for all, before the Light touches them

It is therefore rather to be expected that there will come to man experiences which ungently force from him the decision of either or

And such a one need not always be evil, but has only yielded too far to a certain comfortableness, or to a flaw in his inner attitude

That, however, in spite of the better inner being of the man himself, is not sufficient for the coming time of the turning point, and thus for him too the gate into the new age here upon Earth will remain closed in this life

The condition for entry into the new age upon Earth is given through the complete transformation of man, so that he no longer bears upon himself any distortions in his thinking, for the new age demands an entirely new, reborn man

This demand casts aside every sluggard, every inwardly lifeless man riddled with rigid opinions

That is the pressure which in the Touch of the Light will come to men upon this Earth

Therefore also the Son of God Jesus spoke to His hearers of it, that sooner will a camel pass through the eye of a needle than the greatest part of mankind will one day enter into the Kingdom of God upon Earth

Thus many a one will lay aside his earthly shell in this time, for it will be so ordained for them through the pressure of the working of Hareiars in the service of the Ray of Parzival

And this so that he may perhaps one day be permitted to return to this Earth in the new age, when the initial conditions for his new life will already be cleansed of the present ballast, which is the consequence of the tempting principle of Lucifer and of the indolence of men who have absorbed this principle all too strongly into their way of life

The conditions of the life of men upon Earth will change and will bring a time of great liberation from much that today still, created by the intellect and by impurity, stifles the life of men

Then, however, that new incarnation into the new age upon Earth will be for such a man the highest spur to move swiftly forward in his maturity

It will be the highest spur because the spirit of man is not here in the Subsequent Creation in order to wander here for ever, but in order to attain the radiant maturity of his inner being, which grants him entry into the spiritual home

If he misses the time of ascent, then his spiritual spark will have to decompose in the materialities, even as it happens to a seed in the soil which has not strength enough to germinate into life

The Touch of the Ray of Light brings the sifting for the new age upon Earth

And it is precisely that Touch of the Light upon every single human being which lies before us

It will come and will demand the surrender of all that is ingrained and acquired within man

There, where weaknesses and bad habits prevail and where in man there is not courage enough to lay them aside, there the Touch of the Light will be a violent happening

But there, where the Light finds ground for rebirth, there it will be able to mediate many strengthenings to such a man

Blessed are those men who are able to pass rightly through that transformation which draws near to every one, excepting none

In this the Circles of the Peaceful are, of their own free will, to walk ahead already now, towards this Touch of the Light, for every step taken forward is accompanied by helps which the spiritual and the animistic helpers at once mediate to the man who strives thus courageously

In the end all things may be brought to victory

This victory each one holds solely and only in his own hands

The words given here are not to be received as a far distant theory, but it is a matter of very near experiences, which for many men are already almost the present

Therefore let every one cease to look upon others, and strain all his forces in the struggle for his own spiritual victory
