The time draws near when the only value which will grant comfort and hope to millions of people upon the earth will be the Holy Light of God radiating from the heights

The experiencing of the nearness of the Light is to become, for the seeking people who will still be willing to tear themselves away from their present directions in life, that which for millennia has been described as the comfort and the awakening of the spirit out of the Grace of God

In the experiencing of wholly overwhelming changes the souls of many will become in every respect a loosened soil prepared for the receiving of the radiant seed of the Light

Thus the Light and the Truth will be able gradually to penetrate into the souls of men

This is also to come about through the help of those knowing people who already today strive for harmony with Creation in its vibrating in the Will of God

It is therefore to be the knowing people who, in the ennobling of their own human expression, will become an inseparable part of the great helping happening of the Light upon the earth, who will become the mediators of the hope which lies in the radiation of the Light that will dwell with them and within them

The knowing ones are to be so permeable to the radiation of the luminous rays that in the naturalness of their being they will be reborn into bearers of the Light for other men

That this may come about, each of those who long to be a bearer of the luminous helping rays needs to press nearer to the radiant Ray of Parzival

For the fulfilling of all this they need to absorb into themselves, together with a complete peacefulness and a knowing gaze upward, also the knowledge of human souls in their various steps of maturity

He who longs to become a helper of the Light for the mediating of the strengthening, liberating radiation to the seeking ones needs now to receive into his inner being the faculty of surveying the widest possible gradation of the maturities of men

Through this recognition of maturity the spirit can then mediate help for the anchoring of the radiation of the Light in the seeking people, without stumbling upon the outward manifestations which in the diverse maturity of the multitudes have many forms

Not to let oneself be confused by the outward appearance of another person, that is now a great task for all who one day wish to help the Light here upon the earth

To recognise the spiritual inner being of one's neighbour is important, so that the helper may discern what this inner being is like and how strongly it longs for the Light

That alone is decisive for the right helping of others

He who lets himself be confused by outwardness, or by intellectual knowledge, will in the end not succeed, and his time given to men will prove to have been squandered and lost in the importance of the present time

Therefore it is to be rightly recognised where the inner being is open to the receiving of what is given

Only those who truly seek are to be helped and can be helped

Only then can the giving of the blessed Light be held to be wise, when it is given there where the soil is prepared for the receiving of the spiritual recognition of the Truth

Carefully is one to proceed in the giving, so that the radiation of the Light may unite with an inner being which is prepared for its entry

For this wise discerning of the soil in the seeking ones the mediator of the Light needs to train himself in his perceiving, he needs to set his intuitive perception flowing into the highest movement in the knowledge of men

Here a loving-kindness born of the longing to help does not suffice, but the intuitive perception of him who mediates the strengthening of the Light needs to be refined to the faculty of rightly discerning the fervour in the seeking of the Truth in other people

This refining is not merely a working in an ideal opening of oneself in an all-embracing loving-kindness towards men, but for it there is needed maturity and wisdom within oneself in the perceiving of the surrounding world

Maturity and wisdom are not attained otherwise than by work upon oneself, in a living pressing forward in all perceiving of the connections in union with the high spiritual goal of the human spirit

To know the path of the human spiritual spark from its beginning up to that mature perfection which alone makes possible the entry into the radiant spiritual home is thereto an important equipment

In the perceiving of other people it is always a living happening which very often changes from one day to the next

It is not possible to build upon a few questions, or upon the seeming knowledge of concepts of the person who is asking

It is needful to penetrate to the inner being of the questioner and to seek rightly therein the fervour and the genuineness

For this the spirit of the helper must be in full liveliness and in the highest receptivity towards the differing maturity of others

Here it is not possible to build upon a few experiences, but it is needful unceasingly to unfold one's perceiving of the neighbours around one

Nor is it anything rigid, and it cannot be set into the form of a mechanical approach to people

It is precisely only the living faculty of fellow-feeling, joined with wisdom, which prepares the way of real help

Only he who has an inner being prepared for fellow-feeling with the pain and the privation of others in their inner being, only he is able to catch in a living way the thinking and the manner of reflection of such people which unfolds out of the pain experienced, and thereby also how far they are open to the grace of the Light

Only in this capacity can the knowing person help in such a way that the drops of the Light may penetrate into the inner being of the man seeking a way out in life, so that with a helping effect they may touch the soil prepared within him

Then the Light that is offered will be able to unite with the spirit, without the intellect setting itself in the way, or the opinions created out of the work of the intellect, the schemes of thought which very often work as a brake acting destructively upon the quickening help of the Light, even in those people who otherwise pass through painful experiences in life

Many people who long inwardly for the Light are not yet prepared to receive the Light and the Truth in their attitude of thought, because this thinking of theirs has long been too strongly marked by an intellectually material attitude

The as yet only awakening inner being of such people is not able to overcome the intellect, which in its excessive cultivation has set itself in them as an obstacle to the receiving of the exalted recognition of the Truth

The outward material thinking struggles in such a person with the intuitively perceiving inner being for the decision as to his further life

Although the inner being appears to be open, the intellect attacks and seeks to shake the trust of man in the Light

In many people this inward struggle for the victory of the spiritual inner being over intellectuality will now take place ever more in their experiences

Yet it can hardly be brought home to men at the very beginning that it is precisely their intellect which, through the views of life they have made their own, makes them broken and unhappy and causes them the greatest obstacles to the enlightenment of their inner being

They would not accept it, and on the contrary the intellect in them would attack everything that brings the awakening of the inner being of men

In their unhappiness, although their inner being cries out for liberation, they are through the intellect often themselves the attackers against the Light, which withal is the only thing that can help them

Without their being aware of it themselves, it is a struggle which must be fought out between their inner being, which ever more strongly seeks the higher meaning of life, and the ingrained opinions hitherto, which they carry within them like deep ruts

Gradually, in the victory of the spiritual inner being, there may become bright in them the recognition that it is precisely the thinking taken over from without, laid in by upbringing and by the opinions of others, which collides with the need for a complete transformation of the manner of life, which automatically brings man the nearness of the Light

It may be said that many people carry within themselves today an inward struggle which is just such as was the struggle of the transformation of the apostle Paul, before the Light of his spirit conquered in him the strongly trained intellect

This condition, in which a great part of earthly mankind finds itself, is a real sickness of the spirit

The spirit seeking a way out has not the power for victory over the heavily armoured adversary which lies in the intellect and in its seemingly unshakeable arguments

He who now longs to help the Light and his neighbours needs to make himself aware of this condition in men upon the earth

The only remedy for this sickness of the intellect is patience, which on the part of the giver anticipates nothing, and that even when, in the moments of the vibrating awakening of the inner being of the seeking man, it might perhaps seem good to leap swiftly forward with knowledge, in the supposition that thereby the anchoring of the Light in his life is already secured for ever

First the victory in the awakening of the inner being needs to be attained to such a strength that man himself may maintain within him the enduring anchoring of the Light in the spirit, which has become stronger than the arguments of the intellect

It is a happening in which the first flash of faith in something higher needs today to become a conviction

That conviction which is stronger, even in the forms of thought, than the hitherto walking upon false footpaths

Here nothing can be hastened, here it is always needful to give room to the power and the will of the seeker, who himself needs to come to terms with the transformation which the awakening of the spirit by the Light brings

Those who wish to help must heed the free will of others

And that even when they should see that a man already partly awakened returns again to his former ways in his life

Again it is fitting to recall that spiritual maturity is spread among men over an immeasurably wide spectrum of steps

People seemingly good outwardly may thus be deeply asleep within

However much the burning longing to mediate the awakening to others is the right initial intuitive perception that drives one forward, this intuitive perception cannot throw itself towards men in the naive trust that all are mature for the receiving of the recognition of the Truth

True love is patience and a peaceful radiating

Nothing is to be hastened, even if a hundred times it should appear fitting

Patient restraint is the manifestation of a spirit of noble character, who in his inner being longs truly and effectively to help his neighbours seeking a way out in life

When the giving bearer of the Light supposes that in someone the soil is prepared for the receiving of the Truth, he is yet once more to turn in fervent prayer for an inward confirmation from the helpers of the Light, whether it is truly time here for direct speaking of the Truth, of the Will of God and of the whole happening which now unfolds in the working of the Light in the Subsequent Creation and also upon the earth

The Circles of the Peaceful are to be known by the peace-filled restraint in which they work outwardly

Through this restraint alone can the Light dwelling within them shine forth ahead

The radiation of the bearers of the Light needs to precede any outward working, if today there is to be talk of real help to other people

Only those also are to help who have truly ripened within themselves to the inner joy in which their radiating towards other people is to vibrate

Where there still appears the longing to rebuke people seeking the Light by means of the Word of the Grail Message, where in a person there stirs the longing for a forcible convincing about the Light, or where there slumbers the volition to judge others, however this may be hidden behind quotations of the Word of Truth, everywhere there one cannot yet speak of the maturity of a spirit prepared for helping

He who has not ripened inwardly in his heart for the working for the Light should not force himself to it merely because he supposes that he thereby fulfils his service to the Creator

To the helping of others man is to grow up in his maturity, in the noble longing which the Light dwelling within him calls forth in him

Only thus can he also call himself a bearer and a mediator of the Light

The Circles of the Peaceful are now to occupy themselves with this, so that they may ripen in time for this glorious service to the Grail in Creation

What joyfulness and bliss is contained therein for the spirit will be recognised by him who has truly ripened thereto and may enduringly vibrate in the radiant streaming of the Light

As also with the earthly unfolding of bodily faculties, so likewise in the spiritual the spirit needs to unfold and to move upon the steps of maturity

Without movement and exertion in the intuitive perceiving and in the delicate weighing of all the moments experienced in life, there will not reach man the needful radiation which opens the way to maturity and thereby to the Light itself

The Circles of the Peaceful need therein, as the knowing ones, to walk with an enduring striving for the unfolding of intuitive perception ahead of the happening which is yet to come

It is something great to help other people in union with the Light

Always in the history of mankind it brought to all who thus laid themselves, in the longing of their spirit, into a living, loving helping of their neighbours towards their recognition of the Truth, much widening of their own knowledge of life

Always it brought to those very ones an immeasurable blessing upon their personal path to the spiritual home

The disciples and apostles of Jesus advanced by worlds beyond all seeing upward towards the planes of the Light, in that they gave themselves wholly, in the fervour of their spirit, to the helping of their neighbours in the proclaiming of the Word of their Lord

And precisely those who wish to belong to the Circles of the Peaceful may make clear within their inner being why they came to this earth and what meaning their working here has in the flow of earthly days

The answer rests with every single knowing person

The radiant Light mediates the helping, grace-filled powers for the working of all who are awakened within, and whose spirit is, through the faculties brought with them, prepared to unfold their intuitive perception and their loving-kindness for a wise working, which one day, after many years, will appear in retrospect as the radiance of a luminous beacon in the mists of the night that reigns over the earth just before the proclaimed, oncoming dawn
