THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – July 10, 2023

The immersion of the human spirit into the materialities of the Subsequent Creation for the gaining of spiritual ripeness is always an exceedingly beautiful and also a grace-filled happening

In every respect it is at the same time a great expression of the Love of God towards the whole of the work of Creation, for in this immeasurably precious moment of life something new begins not only for the spiritual spark itself, which has thereby awakened to consciousness, but the whole of Creation is endowed in it as well, because through this it becomes once more somewhat the richer by the uniqueness of a further particle of conscious life

In Creation nothing arises for itself alone in a narrow self-sufficiency, as people often picture it

Nothing is here for its own sake alone, but every particle of life is here for many other inhabitants, whom it is to endow precisely with its own kind and with its uniqueness unfolded within that kind

It is therefore not so self-evident as people think in their wrong understanding of their free will, that it rests with them alone whether they unfold the life laid into them, or decide of their own accord to destroy it

An obligation towards the Creator is always there

People should be constantly aware of this

For their arising and their first development many beneficent forces were laid in by the Creator, through the great harmony of the work of Creation, so that they might become self-conscious

Therefore, in this knowledge, everyone is in a certain sense bound to complete his development in the victorious attainment of ripe perfection

It is a beautiful duty of the human spirit that he should ripen and become a permanently full-fledged inhabitant of the spiritual planes of the work of Creation, as was foreordained for him at his first awakening

He is thus to become, in his knowing, a blessed inhabitant of the work of Creation, so that through him something unique may be permanently present in it, something proceeding from the foundation of his personality and from the experiences he gained upon his path to ripeness

He received, and even now still receives at every moment, many helps for this, which he may use in whatever measure he will

From the very beginning the path of the human spirit is each time surrounded by the most varied kinds of precious gifts and helps

In this no one is in the least stinted compared with others

Even here on earth it is so, that around every person many helping hands are constantly present, which hold him and support him in walking in the right direction

It may be called the continuation of that fairy-tale happening which accompanies the spark of the human spirit from the very beginning of its path of development

Of what takes place in the ethereal gardens of the translucent Light people already know a little, or rather, at least they have some intuition of it

Some know and are acquainted with small fragments of the glorious pictures of the animistic, grace-filled nurses – the fates – who in their kind give a blessing and something for the support of the human spiritual spark in its development upon the path to ripeness

Of these happenings, then, at least a little is intuitively surmised among men

But that for every incarnation of his own upon earth the newborn man is likewise surrounded from the Light by animistic helpers for his present path of life on earth, that is, by those helpers who are permitted to accompany him and in a certain sense to be his carers, of that nothing is known among men today

And yet it is something so very important, and at the same time, if a man reflects rightly upon it, something so self-evident and natural, that it is astonishing that it is not sufficiently known among men

In fact nothing at all is known of it

Just as no greater knowledge of the Aglami has been preserved among people today, so likewise nothing is known of the nearness of the servants about the newborn earthman, whom they faithfully accompany, for this was allotted to them as the great task of their service

Since the great Law of God holds good in Creation, that all which is more conscious leads further life, there are thus always helps enough around man, which strengthen him upon his path

And precisely for this reason, in the case of earthly life too, every person has his own animistic helpers and companions allotted to him, who belong to the Aglami and to the Alphar

In their supremely knowing and receptive manner they accompany him through his whole life

Everything is arranged so delicately and so perfectly discreetly that he will never know of them, unless at some moment he wishes to know of them

He may know of them, and he need not

And that is mostly what comes to pass, that people do not know of them

In their closedness towards all that is finer people do not know that they are surrounded by helpers who continually tend the spiritual vibrations radiating out of their inner being

This vibration is the intuitive perception, or also the intuitive volition

The intuitive perception is that which in reality determines absolutely everything in a man's life

But this too is at present not something known to the majority of people

Nevertheless it is so, and it counts for nothing therein if people overlook it and direct their attention only to the outward forms

But if anyone reflects upon it even a little, he will find how revolutionary is the realisation that a man's whole ascent or fall issues from the use, or the non-use, of that vibrating, earthly invisible power of the intuitive perception, which is the radiation of his own inner being

To man earthly life today naturally appears as fully governed by himself solely through deeds, through thoughts, and thereby above all through the strongly working intellect

In reality, however, under all circumstances it is the stirrings of the inner being, the intuitive perceptions, that truly govern the development of human life, and this often even in defiance of a man's outward striving of thought and of the earthly plans derived from it

That is why there are so often contradictions in human life, for the outward intellectual plans of men strive after something other than that which blazes in the true volition of their inner being

A unification would at once bring to many a becoming luminous, a calming, and also far more fulfilling happiness for their further path through life

It is precisely the vibrations of the intuitive perceptions, in the form of radiation issuing from the essence of the spiritual spark in man, that are those important impulses which are caught up and worked upon by the hands of the helpers, without the outward intellectual mind of man often knowing anything of it

For this reason too the Work the Grail Message so often points to that which is most important – to the lastingly blazing, all-embracing volition towards a good and pure life

This lasting attunement of the inner being necessarily determines the ways of the further development

Herein lie many answers to the questions of men, why at certain moments they are led to places where they are to meet other people, or where they are to experience something important

All this is an expression of the inward weaving of the ways, which are more important than everything else and which are carried over by the mentioned animistic helpers from the stage of radiation into the gross material world itself, which is likewise only a continuing radiation at another degree of cooling

Here it is again needful to become aware of the essence of matter, which is nothing other than a degree of the cooled radiation of the Will of God, which permeates the work of Creation

This matter here is therefore likewise a kind of one original radiation

This needs to be seen in a living picture before the eyes of the man who wishes to occupy himself with it

Only a picture livingly seen and experienced can find a new anchorage in the cerebrum of thought, and thereby open for the one who thinks livingly about it the way to further knowledge

It is an important digging-through of ways not yet formed for the thought-world around the earth

All is radiation

Absolutely all, including this seemingly impenetrable gross matter

It is given to man to float ever forward in this radiation, for there is no halting and no way back

All this interweaves around him as living transformations of radiation, and in connection with this gross material place in the Subsequent Creation there is finally stamped out of it for him into the outer world that which is the formed shape of certain conditions which people call life here on earth

Readers of the Word of Truth contained in the Grail Message, and also readers of the pages of the Way of the Grail, need only occupy themselves with it with living interest, for out of it there flows for them an important knowledge which goes in a wholly new direction from the general understanding of the life of men here on earth today

This knowledge is the fact that it is not those mentioned outward forms, shaped out of radiation or literally stamped out, that are the essential thing, but that they are only the consequence of the preceding radiation of the inner being

The most important, the most precious, always in the first place and in the end also the victorious thing, is that inward intuitive experiencing

Out of it man's volition in thought is also to be formed, which, if it has forces enough within it, will always in the end prevail and, with the help of the animistic servants, be brought into the light of this world

This takes place quite automatically and could have a wholly decisive influence, if people did not, in ignorance and in distrust, throttle with their intellect their inward intuitive stirrings, which, if they are pure and also sufficiently strong in their radiation, will in the end always bring the right development to prevail on earth, however bad, or even desperate and threatening, the temporary state may appear

The power rests first of all in the intuitive perceiving and in the glowing-through of the ways leading from the spirit out of the inner being outwards

Everyone can learn to bring this manner to life within himself, if only he will, for he has within him the full equipment for it, given by his own spiritual origin

The condition for this, however, is the quickening of an inward trust in that victorious power resting in the inward spiritual will which strives all-embracingly towards a good, pure and noble goal

For this too man has permanently around him a host of helpers, who tend his radiation just as the animistic Elves tend plants and flowers

It is of course somewhat different, for the spiritual inner being enters into all happening with its free will

This gift of free will from God makes the human spiritual spark something exceptional for the whole Subsequent Creation, and thereby all the more for this earthly world

In all things the human spirit stands as the one who decides, through his inward intuitive will, whither and in what measure the radiation of his volition shall be directed

Out of this radiated volition the hands of the animistic helpers then automatically form all the basic forms of the development, also for the outward and more ponderous gross material world

Although man knows nothing of it, at every moment he has around him a host of helpers, who are at hand for him in the forming of all that radiates out of him and thus finally becomes a gross material form

It is sad that present-day mankind, which regards itself as especially advanced, knows nothing of something so fundamental

It does not know even a particle of the knowledge of it

Even those who read the Work In the Light of Truth grope in it, literally sliding only over the surface

They do not know how all this comes to pass, and how, precisely through the hands of the helpers granted them by the Creator for their aid, everything upon their path is fulfilled

Among men there is talk of the incomprehensible wisdom of the Creator, or of the all-embracing wisdom of the universe, by which it is meant that everything that happens must somehow be governed by unknown higher forces

This proves that in the knowledge of something so glorious as the living work of the animistic in Creation only mists of ignorance and straying constantly prevail in men

There is lacking the clarity of knowledge, which bears within itself the victory over all ignorance and thereby also the victory over the darkness, which can take hold in ignorance and linger long within it

Darkness can be only there where there is no living knowledge

That is a lawful happening

Where therefore the darkness remains and evil shows itself in its manifestations, there the true knowledge of the Creator and of His perfect work of Creation never was and is not

Man may take this as a standard for all his observing of people

The Light of true knowledge concerning all the happenings issuing from the work of the animistic servants is also that grave condition for the new world which people await as the coming of the Kingdom of God upon earth

It is nothing other than a great progress in the enlightened knowledge of the work of Creation and the carrying over of this knowledge into life on earth

Only in the acceptance of this knowledge lies the joyful soaring towards a new ascent of life in this materiality

Without this necessary step, which needs to be fulfilled on the part of earthmen, progress will never come, nor with it the so eagerly awaited way out of the present state

Knowledge of the animistic, down to the smallest shades of its working, is the condition for the right recognition of the real task of the human spirit

Only through this will accord with the other parts of the work of Creation come about

What do people know of them

It may be said that in the end really nothing

They are for the most part only misty concepts without clear and distinct content

And this even for all those who today endeavour also to help others spiritually

Without living knowledge these spiritually helping people necessarily appear in their striving as no more than folk preachers repeating maxims already mentioned many times over, without often rightly recognising them in their depth themselves

With all respect for the often earnest striving of individuals, it is only a mechanical repetition of sentences and wise maxims torn out of the wholeness of the all-embracing Truth, with the wish that it may perhaps bring something good to other people

Yet such striving lacks the true life, which is to bear witness precisely to the lastingly mobile development and progress above all of those very people who wish to help others spiritually

Where there is no development, there the will to movement is lacking

And where this will for a living spiritual development in the recognising of the work of Creation is lacking, there no sincere will to change in oneself is present

If there is no development in oneself in the recognising of the Light, then that precious strengthening cannot be mediated to other people on the way to the Light

Since the time when the Ray of Parzival was permitted to dwell directly in an earthly body, in order to bring the great gift of the Word of Truth and of the Light in His Work, nothing essential has changed in the development of the people gathering around this great Work of His

There is no progress here, but for the most part only a desperate holding fast to at least that little which was understood at the very beginning by those who were permitted to be in the direct nearness of Parzival during His sojourn on earth

It is perhaps a good foundation, but for further development it is pitifully little

Moreover, even in that initial understanding of the people of that time there is found that great mistiness and groping, already evident then, whenever the concept of the animistic or the concept of the animistic servants is mentioned

This only shows how little attention has hitherto been devoted on the part of earthmen to this so important body of creative servants faithfully serving the Will of God, who in the abundance of their representation accompany the spiritual species in all the places of its occurrence

In reality everything is far more perfect than it prevails in the conceptions of the people who occupy themselves with it and often also speak of it

So that everything may be fulfilled rightly and in complete Justice, the Will of God has set, through the Laws of Creation, tending servants and helpers in all places, who see to it that everything flows ever forward in the highest liveliness, obedient to the great Law of movement

The blindness of earthmen to the fact that the animistic servants, through their working, are thus those fulfillers and guardians of the Will of God is almost characteristic

Man sees himself as the centre of all happening, and therefore in his pride he rejects that around him too, in a permanent surrounding, there could be helpers granted to him who tend his volition

Above all he rejects that without these servants he himself could achieve nothing

But rejection helps nothing, for human conceptions or wishes change nothing in this happening determined from above

Of course people may still reject it today and deny it in their limited understanding

Nevertheless the mentioned helpers are still near to them and in a most wise manner help every person to the fulfilment of the meaning of why he himself came to earth

They do not intervene in the lives of men as someone might perhaps picture it

That is, in such a way as to govern his steps directly, or perhaps to work by their pressure against his own will

It is not so, for the task of these servants is solely to tend the full and sound development of all that the radiation issuing from the spiritual inner being demands

This of course includes the complete acceptance by these servants of all a man's decisions, however much with his wishes he wills something wrong as well

These animistic servants do not work directly against his wishes, but they always seek how to mediate something else besides, something strengthening and more fervent than, for instance, the baleful volition of the man entrusted to them at the given moment

They are supporters of life, not determiners of the path of the human spirit

They tend his earthly path by transforming the primary spiritual radiation, which contains within itself the spark's will to life, into that mysterious energy sought by men from time immemorial, which is the driving force for the life of the earthly body

In their hands there is thus the ancient elixir of youth, if man is able to receive it rightly, or on the contrary they bring his end nearer at a quickened pace, if something of this force is wrongly received by him

By the guidance of shining filaments they carry over that radiation which issues from the spiritual will of the spark and passes through the coverings as far as the very boundary of the earthly world, which is known as the astral plane

Here this astral radiation is transformed into warmth and into the strong animistic will of the body to live, which shows itself most markedly in the beating of the heart and in the circulation of the blood

Like the picture of a garden, these helpers tend the flower of the human body, grown out of the gross material substance of the earthly kind

Under their hands, out of the predetermined threads of fate, all that is bodily needful for a man's earthly life is spun

What is to be manifested in the body, whether as an extraordinary equipment and abilities, or also as a necessary manifestation of a deficiency by reason of a past existence, all this is woven into the fine threads of radiation, out of which is born the prototype of the human body itself coming to birth into the earthly world

But their task does not end at the moment when the spirit in the child reaches the soil of this world, so that its path of life here may begin to unfold

They remain constantly with the man and through their helping, protecting work lead him through the life which they form for him as a quickened three-dimensional happening, in which for man everything is always perfectly prepared in the moment of the present

Chance does not exist in it, just as there exists no ground for blaming someone else for one's own experiencing of life

What is often designated as an involuntarily accepted fate created by other people or by a higher guidance of destiny is in truth always only and solely the forming of the inward intuitive vibration, which as radiation is stamped out into a visible material manifestation

The radiation out of the spiritual spark is therefore always led further in all directions and helps to shape the space in which it is given to man to live on earth

This holds good in the small as well as on a greater scale

It is therefore not only personal and family relationships, but in the same way some place on earth, a continent, or even the whole planet is influenced by it, if the radiation manifests itself over a longer time

In this the Law of Homogeneity necessarily shapes the forms which are the conditions of life on earth

The power of the inward vibrating radiation – of the intuitive perception – influences the outer world

Yes, this power and its accord with the great harmony of the work of Creation is what influences the development of life on this earth, and not the number of people forming a temporary majority

Whoever therefore complains today of the unacceptable conditions of his life, whoever grows indignant over the state of society or over a desperate politics, should first grow indignant over himself, for he too has some share in it through the radiation of his own inner being

And it is not only the measure of the purity or impurity of the volition that influences the development, but in no lesser measure the insufficiency of one's own power of conviction, resting in the right understanding of how everything is to develop towards better prospects for this world, also has its part in all of it

It is something so clear and translucent that there is not for a moment any reason that should hinder one from beginning at once with oneself, in this very moment, with a right intuitive working

The knowledge of how all this works and operates people already possess, together with the knowledge of the Work the Grail Message

It only needs to be brought to a greater self-evidence, and thereby to the prevailing direction of thought, also for those who at this moment perhaps still know nothing at all of it

The ignorance of the present majority of mankind plays no serious part in this, provided the power of conviction of those who have a living knowledge of the Truth is always the prevailing one

At present the development on earth is going, to the surprise of many, in the right direction, however contradictory it may outwardly appear

The present ferment is a necessary manifestation of the liberating work in the animistic weaving

Through their inward conviction of the victory of the Light on earth others, indeed all people, may join in

But to have the power of conviction within oneself does not mean to walk through life groping in mists, but to have with one a clear understanding of all the happenings which sound in full accord with the clear and pure striving of the spiritual inner being

Only then can the omnipresent animistic companions help man with a heightened supporting activity, as has hitherto not been possible for them, for a dim intuition alone does not suffice for victory

Human life is the image of a blossom which is to come to full unfolding and to fruits

The unfolding and the fruits, however, can be attained only if the condition of a living use of all knowledge concerning the work of Creation is fulfilled

The time when a mere intuition holding man in faith sufficed as a lifeline is past

For the present time a wholly different striving of a spiritual kind is demanded, if the present world is to be shaped towards the prospect of the coming of the Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God will arise on this earth only through the co-operation of the human spirit who strives in his living intuitive perceiving towards the Light

That is the new thing which people on earth need to grasp and to accept as a strengthening towards movement forward

By another way it will not come

And yet there is the danger that the blossom tended by so many helpers will, for all their care, wither and dry up

A man's own inner being, however, never wishes anything of the kind

In spite of many thoughts perhaps temporarily misguided, the inward longing for eternal life in the Light still blazes in the spiritual spark, if this is alive within itself

It is a strong longing which drives billions of people forward, without their consciously recognising it

But now the time is here to attain a new prospect of the work of Creation and to unfold the most glorious manifestations of human life

This time is here and is to become a part of a new approach to life for each of us

All the helps for it stand ready here

From all sides the blossom of the human spiritual development in the individual man is upheld and strengthened

Let us lay hold of these helps in a full striving to enter upon the way of a spiritual experiencing of life in the first place

Only this will now change the development of this earthly world towards new prospects, which will bring to earth the longed-for Kingdom of God, that so greatly awaited time of peace and repose for all mankind

But it is needful to begin with it courageously and with all spiritual liveliness
