We have already spoken of the Light-irradiated gardens which are to be found in the highest part of the annexe of developed human spirits in Primordial Creation

They are places of blessed activity, in which the most strongly irradiated womanly spiritual beings work in faithful service in a lasting vibrating for the fulfilling of tasks from the Light

To these gardens belong the places of the working of Rosanea and Gwenevier as the gardens of loving-kind roses and the gardens of lilies

But there is here yet one more garden of which we have not spoken until now

In this third garden beneath Montsalvat, which lies nearest to the Golden City, there is the place of faithful service, over which there rules a sublime stewardess who unites within herself all the virtues of what is womanly spiritual and at the same time bears within herself more of the animistic kind

The sublime lady, of royal yet perpetually maidenly youthful appearance, walks through the radiant gardens, and through her being she uplifts everything towards joyful concord with the development prepared beforehand by God

In the highest connection with the streaming from the heights she then withdraws into the halls of the snow-white temple upon the very summit of these gardens, in order thus to go before her handmaidens as an example in the service of unconditional concord with the Will of God

This service makes her lastingly the mediatrix between the higher animistic which comes to this part of the spiritual realm from the planes of Primordial Creation

The animistic part strengthened within her, which developed in her under the influence of the higher working of the primordially created handmaidens from the Island of the Swans, opens her sight, that she may be permitted to behold the working of the Archangels who incline through the Grail towards Parzival in his working in the task of the Administrator of Creation given by God the Father

And because this handmaiden, like the greater part of the virtuous maidens subordinate to her, bears within herself an increased portion of the animistic, this place is filled lastingly with the rustling of angels' wings

The animistic which is to be found in the Primordial Work of Creation is always of the angelic kind, for other forms have no place here for the expression of faithful, purely animistic service to the Will of God

In the whole of Primordial Creation, from the halls of the Grail to the outermost planes of the spiritual Paradise, all animistic working bears the form of the angelic kind, however much these forms may differ one from another

If we find differences, then these are always within the kind, for which the strongest expression is always that the animistic ones have pinions

Snow-white pinions are borne here by everything animistic, whether it belongs to the builders, who are superior to the Alphar working in the Subsequent Creation, or to the Elves who care for the flowers and likewise for the other kinds of activity

In the Primordial Work of Creation we find Alphar of angelic aspect, who work upon everything that needs to be formed into shapes, no matter whether these be landscapes, buildings, the forms of the elements, or all else that is to be found in Primordial Creation

Because the substantiality of the Primordial Light, which serves as the original matter for all forms, is of a wholly different kind from the substantiality in the Subsequent Creation with all the parts of materiality, there are not needed in Primordial Creation so many kinds of the animistic as is the case with the animistic ones who arose to consciousness in Valhalla and in the gardens of Asgard

In the reality of the will in which the Alphar-angels vibrate, their concord with the Will of God suffices for them to be permitted, as mediators of power, to form ever new parts of the spiritual worlds

Their activity has no bounds, for the blessed Power of God flowing into Creation gives them again and again all that is needed for the weaving of new forms of the perfect beauty of everything that is needed for the joyful life of the inhabitants there

Besides the Alphar of the angelic kind there are here also Elves of the angelic kind, who devote themselves especially to the splendour of plants of the most manifold shapes and colours

Together with these angelic servants, whom from time to time even the inhabitants of the spiritual Paradise may behold to their joy, there are here yet other angels employed otherwise, who work above all as messengers of tidings between the spheres of Creation

And precisely these servants are connected most of all with the place of the gardens of faithful service which spread upon the heights beneath the spiritual castle of Light itself, Montsalvat

The bearers of tidings, or otherwise the mediators of grave as well as of joyful proclamations, draw near to these gardens in silent fulfilling, that they may be permitted to bring the wisdoms of God concerning the further development of the happening among the human spirits in Paradise, but also in the depths of the Subsequent Creation, where in the most varied degrees of development there are the human-spiritual ones who are to strive for a conscious return into the luminous planes of Primordial Creation, which for them is designated as Paradise

From here the tidings brought are at once sent onward by further messengers, right to the places of their destination

And precisely that higher animistic in the handmaidens, who are otherwise of the spiritual kind, enables them to vibrate wholly together with the angels who come, and thereby, in a spiritual protecting and helping manner, to be permitted in silent prayer to direct many helps towards those upon whom some new calling in their spiritual existence descends

The silent working of these blessed handmaidens is often accompanied by singing of the most magnificent kind, which is borne through all the places in the gardens and from time to time also echoes away down to the arbours of inward withdrawal, to which the pure perfected spirits dwelling in the city of the golden streets usually retire when in concentration they prepare themselves for some new mission of theirs to which they are called from the luminous heights

The singing is borne as lovely tones, in which, besides the melody, there is contained in a living manner the story of the service for this or that chosen servant

And each hears only those words which belong to his own story, however much the tones and the tune seem to all to be equally blissfully beautiful

In this singing of the maidens in the gardens of faithful service there is contained a certain wisdom of a higher kind

Precisely on account of this wisdom, which bears within it something of a higher mystery of God, the spirits in Paradise look up to these gardens with a peculiar stirring, and the sublime Wadana, who is the stewardess of these places, is designated as the bearer of royal wisdom

Whoever longs to learn something more of the happening in Creation naturally turns in thoughts to Wadana, who also never leaves him without an answer, for she is the mediatrix for all proclamation in the downward direction

Yet her answers always bear within them the demand for the purest humility, so that the tidings may first ripen in the spirit to complete comprehension

In this respect the temple of these gardens is regarded as the source of the high knowing of the royal recognition of Creation

The whole space of the temple vibrates in a peculiar attunement of the lasting openness of the knowing of things which for others still remain veiled, because for them the time has not ripened

It was also the sublime Wadana who wished to make Amfortas aware beforehand of the temptation of the fallen Archangel

Amfortas had no inkling that an attack would come from the side of the tempter

In the pure trust which he bore within him he did not expect that everything would unfold as it drew near to him

He bore within him a consciousness full of trust when in inward connection he attuned himself to the service of the knights who, after the reflection of Montsalvat, had formed by their will above the summit of the ethereal gardens a guardian castle, out of which Lucifer announced himself to him

Wadana wished to warn Amfortas not to succumb to the enchanting light which with its lustre of omniscience surrounded the tempter

Yet some power unrecognised by her did not permit her to warn the first knight Amfortas

In fervent supplication the pure handmaiden asked upwards whether that which had taken place before her sight lay in the Will of God the Father, or whether she herself was paralysed by the power of the fallen one, so that her voice was bound in silence

Then she beheld a picture of Amfortas

He stood purely and clearly in his service

Self-assuredly and faithfully he served in the highest place of the spiritual realm formed later

His strength, which he perceived within himself, gave him certainty for his fulfilling

He seemed to himself sure and firm, and in a certain self-assurance he did not admit to himself that he himself could waver

His certainty led him into the knowledge that he was serving rightly, rather than to ask upwards to the Creator in all questions

This held him in the consciousness that he could not be led astray by the tempter into a volition of his own and thereby deflected from the manner of the repeated faithful service of his grave office as steward of Montsalvat

In this, however, there lay in the end his grave wavering and his fall from the place where he had served until then, for the tempter recognised how his trust in him would lead him to a grave decision without his asking upwards to the Light as to its rightness

And thus, warned by no one, Amfortas let Lucifer enter into his nearness in the conviction of his own undaunted strength, when the latter appeared before him and enraptured the servant of Montsalvat with his still enduring radiance of the divine-animistic kind

Upon the counsel of this fallen one Amfortas let himself be enticed to thoughts which, however, led him in another direction than that entrusted to him by the Will of God in Creation

Thereby he stepped out of his service and endangered for a time the possibility of the influx of Light into the halls of Montsalvat, as had happened hitherto always from the beginning of the plane of developed human spirits

Wadana beheld all this beforehand, and in prayers she fervently besought help from the heights of Light for the luminous keeper of the vessel with the living Light in the spiritual castle of Montsalvat

And from the Grail a bright messenger was sent to her, who brought her consolation in the showing of the future development, wherein she beheld how into the halls of Montsalvat there entered a rescuer, the king of the Grail himself with his faithful knights, in order to lead back into harmony and peace-filled equilibrium everything that had been deflected for a time

Thereby there was already taken away in advance the pain which might otherwise have fallen into the inner beings of the pure spirits in Paradise in the experiencing of the wavering of the faithful keeper of the vessel of the Grail

The consolation of the most blessed balm of the holy promise of the endurance of the Light of God was to pour into the hosts of all the inhabitants of Paradise, so that their trust and devotion to the Creator might endure unharmed

From the heights there came a luminous host of mighty knighthood, at whose head there was the King of Creation Parzival himself

The pictures which the highest handmaiden of the gardens of faithful service was permitted to receive bore within them so much power that her spiritual consciousness fell into a peace-filled sleep, in which there was contained for her an easing of the experiencing of all that was to come

Wadana slept in the highest place of the temple, which serves her as the field of her faithfulness

She slept, yet at the same time she was permitted fully to experience everything, so that before her sight there unfolded pictures of all the happenings of the past, of the present and of the future

And thus even in her sleep there was contained faithful fulfilment, for the angels, her faithful helpers, were permitted to bear these pictures received by her in sleep onward into the lowlands, so that even in the outermost places there might flow from spirit to spirit, from creature to creature and from man to man the proclamation of the silent promise of the victory of the Light of God over the darkness

Surrounded by the purest of her handmaidens she remained in this peculiar state of sleep, and in it she spoke of the pictures in which there was mirrored all the Holy happening wrought for the rescue of all the places which had been struck by Lucifer's baneful working

Many promises which she mediated at this time were at once sent out by her faithful women helpers to those places for which they were destined

The promises were borne as streams of salvation and of hope for all who in pure comprehension opened themselves to them with their inner being

In the form of a quiet whisper and also of a joyful call the great promise was borne through all planes and worlds

The more it grew in strength, the more evident it was to all that the time of the fulfilment of the great promise of liberation was near

And then Wadana was brought to awakening by a voice, the dearest and the brightest that she had ever been permitted to hear

Resounding as the mightiest bell, yet withal kindly and gentle towards her spirit

Parzival spoke to her, standing not far off upon the summit of the spiritual plane, and her eyes, awakened anew to consciousness, had to accustom themselves to the flood of Light which streamed through the place of Montsalvat

“Behold, I am here”

“The wound is healed”, it rang through the space

“The Holy Lance is now in the hands of the one chosen by God”

Around, throughout the whole space, there hovered endless hosts of rustling wings, which accompanied the luminous Rescuer coming from the halls of the Grail into the distant places of Creation

And the Luminous One let parts of his Ray be immersed into the prepared vessels of all the grades of coverings, in order to fulfil the promise of Jesus, the Son of God, for he was to bring the knowing of the Truth into all parts of the Subsequent Creation

Together with this knowing there advanced the fulfilment of the Holy Judgment, which was to be accomplished in the following of the healing power of the Holy Lance

And Wadana, in joyful fulfilling together with all her handmaidens, let a new proclamation ring out into all spheres, in which there was borne the most fervent call to the souls that were to catch the echo of the voice which she herself had heard at her awakening

Through all space there are borne voices proclaiming that the Ray of Parzival has drawn near to all the places of the Subsequent Creation, so that the Judgment may be accomplished and together with it the liberation of all pure, living spirits

“It is finished”

Through the space it rings mightily, as to these spiritual streams there joins also the call of Valhalla

All life opened itself exultantly to the influx of powers which bore within them rebirth

Only men on earth have no inkling of how everything subordinates itself to the perfect and wise Will of God, for their limitation does not permit them to see more than the earthly, however much they strive to become seeing

They do not see the working of the Ray, which is the radiation of Parzival himself and which now finds itself in the nearness of Ephesus, in order to close one great chapter of this part also in those places where until now everything spiritual still moved only sluggishly in the dim shadow of its original liveliness

The Ray is the living fulfilment of the promise, whereby only in a certain time of distress will some behold in its radiance the fulfilment of the coming of the Judge of God, as it was proclaimed

Only then will the eyes of those graced open, and in the sky they will behold happenings which will strike them down into the dust, because in them they will recognise the sifting of mankind by God

These are those pictures which, through her fulfilling, the handmaiden from the gardens of Montsalvat, Wadana, who abides in the blessed state of the purest service, causes to be brought

That men may but be permitted to receive all this, they need to raise themselves more with their spirit

Their spirit asks for the connection with the Light, which may then grant it all that it needs for a greater connection with the planes in which real life is to be found, and not the apparent life here

Precisely at this time strong connections begin to vibrate with the possibility of letting the echo of the name Parzival, Imanuel, the Son of Man enter into one's spirit

Around the small earth it circles, and the rustling wings of the messengers give an inkling of the great fulfilment of all the ancient luminous tidings and promises

The Lord is near, and his Light quickens, judges, heals, liberates, rejects, and at the same time with its most magnificent sounding brings hope for all that has hitherto suffered

The resonance of this voice is absorbed in accelerated measure into matter, that it may become reality for the earthly perceiving of a dulled mankind

The animistic ones weave the threads in accelerated measure for the shortening of the happenings, as far as it is possible in the density of matter, so that everything may be shortened to the most necessary experiencing of the judgment

The speed brings upheavals into the threads of every human spirit which longs to awaken and in honourable struggle to be saved

In everything it is possible to find helps of an unprecedented kind, for every single decision issuing in a pure vibration of the intuitively perceiving inner being has the power to liberate from a great number of burdening threads of guilt

All this is a part of that sounding of the voice of the Judge, which contains within it an unyielding severity, but at the same time a blessed strengthening of hope for all that strives to rouse itself to concord with the great harmony of the work of Creation

High up in the distant gardens everything works for the weaving of helps in such a manner as men here on earth have still to learn rightly to recognise and also to receive

It is a help which descends in the most delicate sounding that it is given to the intuitively perceiving inner being to catch

And for this the delicate womanly perceiving is precisely the best fitted

The streams of helps of sublime inspirations may thus come to the delicacy of the womanly attunement

To that attunement which in purification has grown finer and may thus catch the singing and also the words descending as a message from the blessed gardens down here, where everything is still so very far from the true spirituality of earthly humanity

In connection with the Ray of Parzival, however, it is now possible to raise oneself in spirit high upwards, if man has ripened for it in his becoming luminous

Precisely now the connecting lines already formed for this are being drawn taut, for the departure of the Son of Man, Imanuel, from the earthly covering changed nothing in the point of fulfilment which was appointed from the beginning by God the Father and towards which everything hastens ever more swiftly

Precisely now it is possible to open oneself in an inkling of the greatness of all the happening, which is not bound to the earthliness of the small human world as men still suppose

Eight decades have been fulfilled since the moment of the great release of the Ray of Parzival from earthly bondage, so that the course of events might be appointed which would lead by new ways to the fulfilment of the consummation of the Holy Judgment of God in the gross materiality of the earth

This consummation has drawn near under the heightened effect of the Ray of Parzival, and the end of the hitherto direction of a mankind gone astray is in sight

Whoever has eyes may behold it, whoever has open hearing may hear the sounding of the words of the proclamation which reach this earth from the heights of the blessed gardens, whose stewardess is the snow-white radiant handmaiden Wadana

From her Light-radiant figure there stands forth a whiteness such as gleaming swans' pinions bear

Out of the picture there then stands forth most strongly a blue-radiant star which shines from the brow of this most magnificent spiritual handmaiden

The knowing of the gardens of faithful spiritual service, spreading out to the sides beneath the luminous spiritual castle Montsalvat, may draw near as a help and an assurance to all spirits who with their whole volition strive towards the Light

As the hitherto human knowledge, which has been designated as false, collapses, it at the same time already permits further particles of the abundance of the knowing of the work of Creation to come forth in advance

For all the ensuing time of the new age on earth there will gradually come that whole recognition of the luminous planes of the spiritual home, so that of the splendour of the places there men may be permitted to have an inkling of the essentials already here in the distant sections of material Creation

Already in the near future the most natural recognition of little children will be the knowing of the true spiritual home and also of the clear path which, through the effects of the Laws of Creation, may one day lead the human spirit to this home
