Fine threads issuing from the inward volition of the spiritual spark bear within them the power to change absolutely everything for the better
They are the most precious thing that can be radiated by the spirit as his living contribution to the work of Creation
These threads are the most precious because, at the same time as their radiance is used for the support of life in Creation, this contribution of the radiation of the human spirit is at once used by the animistic weavers for the cleansing and the becoming luminous of his own fate
Oh, how much men still do not know of all that accompanies them through life in the simplest naturalness, and also of how very important those spiritual radiant threads are for them
Radiant threads issuing from the joyful vibration of the spiritual inner being of man
In them lies the liberation of the individual as well as the remedy for all the sicknesses and defects of human society
Alas, the excessive delicacy of these happenings makes them imperceptible for the man of today
This then necessarily brings it about that to the majority of men, in their present attitude of thought-bound understanding, it seems that if something such as spiritual radiation, and still less fine spiritual threads, is not tangible, there is therefore no sense in occupying oneself with such a thing at all
The capricious thoughts of men do not allow many to grasp this precious inward forming of threads, which is nevertheless, from the standpoint of the Creator, the first and also the decisive thing with which the human spirit is to make himself significantly, indeed magnificently, of use in Creation
This use of the spirit is the radiation, described many times on the Way of the Grail, of the all-embracing volition for good springing forth from the inner spark of man
Only this radiation enables the spirit to be of full value, for as a spiritual creature he is therein an important bearer of the radiation needed for the arising of pure and joyfully strengthening threads for the rest of life in Creation
That is the great task of the human spirit in Creation
All the more does it then hold good for the quickening of this part of the Subsequent Creation, where he is to be, commissioned by the Creator, the purely spiritual strengthener of everything that is to be found here
That is the primary work which makes every human spirit into what he is meant to be
This radiation is the foundation for the whole of his existence
From it there flows out from man in all directions blessing, and out of it there also forms itself back for him his own ascent to the Light
The more direct the ascent to the Light is to be, the more does this radiation in man need to be a lasting manifestation of his inner being full of peace
It is to be with him at every moment of the day
Alas, however, there are many influences which here on earth disturb this radiation in men to their harm
One of these influences which bring harm is precisely the excessive rankness of thought-activity
The thought-activity of the intellect is withal a mere outward working of the brain and never has the value of the real radiation of the spiritual inner being, out of which alone the said fine spiritual threads can be woven
The disturbance by thoughts formed through the intellectual activity of the brain is indeed directly a grave endangering of these fine radiant threads
Predominantly material thoughts cause a densification, they create unrest and can often prevent earthman from perceiving the very liveliness of his own spiritual spark, in which the whole essence of his being is contained
The stilling of thoughts and the strengthening of the liveliness of the spiritual spark is therefore something immeasurably important for man as a spiritual inhabitant of the work of Creation
The spiritual spark and its vibrancy is in every respect the starting foundation for everything further in the existence of the human spirit
Out of this foundation there is to well up and spring forth the radiation of the pure all-embracing volition for good, which is to manifest from the spiritual spark into the surrounding space
Out of the radiation of the spiritual spark the Vaenen weave those fine radiant threads which are of the most precious value for determining the further path of the spirit through the work of Creation
The threads may therefore be likened to the most important signposts, for they are first and foremost that which determines the path that raises the human spirit in his ascent
It is these very threads that bear him ever higher, until he attains the blissful goal of his development, which lies in the possibility of returning to the luminous gardens of the spiritual home
Here on earth men generally overlook this vitally important value of the spiritual radiations and of the threads woven out of that radiation
They do so, among other reasons, because on the plane of their thought-bound reasoning they suppose that their path leads rightly when the most visible, that is, above all the outward gross material manifestations in life, are fulfilled
In this, too, many men even today wish to recognise their change for the better
Therefore so many of them are as a rule concerned with how they might change the outward direction of their life for the better in these densest matters, for anything finer they do not perceive
The real spiritual radiation slips away from them between the clumsy fingers of intellectual thinking and of a still clumsier outward conduct
Therefore they strive above all to make only outward changes in their visible behaviour, and all their power they concentrate in this direction
With their orientation they take account only of the most superficial expressions of their outward conduct, which is moreover often taken over from others and thereby something alien to the spirit
They do not suspect that in this they are again working predominantly only with their intellect
The intellect withal draws to itself in this all the needed attention, and thereby the power of the spirit as well
However much this may here and there indeed lead to the laying aside of some baneful outward habits in a man's life, the true essence of the spiritual transformation, that is, of the rebirth of the human spirit, lies in the innermost living radiation of the spiritual spark in man, and it is thus a transformation that always proceeds in the direction from within outwards
The true spiritual rebirth goes in a wholly opposite direction from that which men as a rule suppose, when they strive first and foremost to remake themselves in their outward conduct
Multitudes of men, in the belief that they are walking the path of progress, concentrate too much upon outward things, which in their effect work in such a way that through effort in outward conduct they seek to create a pressure upon their own personality, in the endeavour that this pressure will at last, as the imprint of an outward change, assert itself within them also
If, however, the inner being is not at that moment rightly attuned, that is, radiant in the most living volition for good and for light, this imprint is insufficient, because it lacks the connection with the very essence of the attunement in man
The right attunement lies in an inward pure vibrancy made ardent by an all-embracing and childlike simple trust in God
The most important thing lies in the ardent vibrancy of the inner being of the human spirit, who longs for God and for His Light that fills the work of Creation
Therefore the Son of God Jesus so often pointed out that men should become children within themselves through their trustful approach to God
Vibrancy we may in other words describe as the living inward kindliness of a man who in his understanding of life rests wholly upon trust in the divine wise guidance of all that is
Only this inward attitude can rightly unite the spirit with the Will of God, for the Will of God is contained in the omnipresently working Harmony in the whole of the work of Creation
And alas, that is precisely what is wont to be regarded by earthmen as a secondary matter
The inward connection of the spiritual spark with the Light and with God is lacking in all thinking and in all acting
Many men bind their progress to whether there is outwardly fulfilled by them what is held to be right on the thought-plane of mankind
The inward ardent essence of an action is held to be secondary, provided that outwardly there is fulfilled what has been generally designated as the socially established good
The great pitfall lies precisely in this generally acknowledged good
As is already known from many baneful experiences of history, this outward social good is on earth subject to transformations according to whatever majority opinion happens to be prevailing
In their turning away from the divine Laws of the work of Creation, the opinions about good established by men have throughout the whole history of mankind borne as their result the fruits of horrors and of destruction, both for individuals and for whole lands and nations
The social establishing of what is good, if it is not truly in full accord with the Harmony of the work of Creation, then brings no good, but in its kind always bears the germ of a self-destroying end
And yet this so very dangerous path of social opinion about the good is still being forged by the great majority of men
A living and vibrant inner being would today very often have to be at variance with the social opinion of the good, because that pure vibrancy, through its connection with the Will of God, for the most part perceives rightly what is genuine good and what is not
But the outward pressure of thought does not permit them this intuitive perceiving
The living vibrancy of the spiritual inner being always bears within it a certain measure of the capacity to perceive intuitively a wisdom of a higher kind
But precisely when the concentration of men is directed only upon the outward, then they cannot have their day-consciousness in right harmony with the spiritual spark
The spark grows weak, falls asleep and loses its capacity for a bright and living radiation
The inner being is literally choked by the ballast of superficial thoughts far removed from the refreshing streams of the Harmony in the work of Creation
That joyful vibrancy of the inner being is also not regarded today with sufficient attention, because it is generally held to be too personal, indeed it is often held to be a heightened sensitivity of the individual, which leads either to contempt for such a man, to mockery, or at the least such a man is held to be unfit for this earthly world
Sensitive men who perceive things otherwise than the general opinion does are held from the social standpoint to be of secondary account, and the position of naive visionaries is foisted upon them, or they are even held to be dangerous agitators, that is, if they pass their perception on to other men
In every respect they are unwelcome from the standpoint of the majority of society here on earth
Against intuitive perception, which inseparably contains also the conscience known to men, that is, a heightened personal responsibility for all thinking and all deeds, intellectual men proceed implacably step by step, so that in the end every healthy intuitive perceiving may be wholly suppressed
The opinion of the majority, however visibly it is built upon faulty foundations, is held to be more important than the voice of the inner being in man
The outward world strives to shatter and to splinter this immeasurable value that lies within man, and thereby to discredit it
Such a man at last does not trust himself at all
He becomes a puppet to be manipulated by the outward social opinions generally pressed upon him
Alas, in this approach many children too are already being brought up to complete confusion within themselves
The outward thought-opinion of society is to be more authoritative for them also than the value of the pure radiance of the inner being of their still childlike simple receptivity, which is more closely bound up with the animistic than is the case with adults
Out of children there are formed, by means of the pressure of outward thoughts, little adults, who are compelled to stand on the side of social interests
In reality, however, this leads only to a deadening of the conscience within, and thereby wholly to a weakening of the important vibrations of intuitive perception, out of which are woven the threads of fate that are immeasurably precious and important for the human spirit
Men do not realise that this is a deliberate crippling of the essence of the humanly spiritual spark in man, which is solely and only the culminating ripening of Lucifer's principle of temptation of the humanly spiritual species here in the materialities
Mankind is now wholly severed from the whole of the work of Creation, and the fruit of this we are reaping precisely in the abundant harvest of all the insane and unnatural conduct of individuals and of society
Lucifer, however much he is bound, is still present through the reverberations of his baneful work upon mankind
But at the same time this direction is now changing, for a boundary has already been set by the Envoy of God, Parzival, beyond which nothing shall pass
Thus, beside the summit of the folly of thought-bound intellectual men, there is here an ever strengthening longing in men to find the right direction, which leads to a blessed existence
That which ought first and foremost to be unfolded here too in this gross material plane of being is, precisely because it is of a purely spiritual kind, the opposite of the present striving of the majority of men
The intellect now, under the pressure of the Light, is hastening towards a complete entanglement in the consequences of its own work, and therein at last the present community of intellectual men will go mad and crash to the ground like a throne standing upon feet of clay
Let no one, therefore, entangle himself through his indignation in that which had now to come as the fruit of the work of the intellect
It would only drag him himself still further downward
The way out lies solely in the ascent to the Light
And the way upward to the Light lies precisely in man's turning inward, in his connection with his own essence within
Through the stilling of thoughts the real value of the inward joyful vibration can rise more into recognition, a vibration which is at the same time the purest spiritual prayer of man to God
Stilling and becoming luminous, in the turning inward of oneself and in the finding of one's connection with the Light, is now needed more than ever before
It ought to be the foundation of every right striving of the greatest possible number of men
Only out of a right inward striving, which lies in the complete turning of one's inner being towards the Light and in the all-embracing volition for good flowing from it, does everything else proceed that then has worth and value before the divine eye
This striving lies in a fully spiritual awakening and in reality precedes absolutely everything else in the life of man
In this inward work is contained the most important thing that the human spirit needs to do
It is therefore not an outward thought-volition that is perhaps what changes the path of the human spirit, but it is precisely that weaving of threads, at first often invisible outwardly, which bears within it the shining forth of the inward kindliness of man
That is something important which must precede everything further that only afterwards begins to form itself out of it for this visible world of gross matter as well
There is nothing that could replace this inward happening of the flaring up of the flame of the spirit
It is because, in accordance with the Law, out of the said happening in the inward essence of the spiritual spark the Vaenen weave threads which are of immeasurable value for the spirit
Without these threads there is nothing which, from the standpoint of the Laws of Creation, would have an equal value in the existence of man
It holds good, then, that without the real inward radiance of the spirit everything else has only a dull appearance, for it carries the aftertaste of an inward emptiness
And here many a one asks wherein, then, lies that extraordinariness of the fine threads woven out of the radiance of the living spiritual spark
It is after all that essence of the spiritual kind of these threads, which have an immeasurable value because in connection with the Light they bear within them a portion of eternity
They bear the promise of eternity for the spirit who has attained in himself such a degree of advancement that he vibrates lastingly, and without interruption by outward influences, in the attunement of pure vibrancy which unites him with all that serves God
It is, after all, that state so longed for by many, in which the bliss naturally and inseparably bound up with it gives back to the spiritual spark the possibility of sharing in the joyful vibrating of the whole work of Creation
But that is something which cannot be transmitted otherwise than solely in the personal experiencing of a man who opens himself to it within
Only then will he experience and perceive intuitively, to the last particle of himself, the beneficence of that state which is bound up with the radiation of the exalted joy of the human spirit united with the Harmony of the whole work of Creation
Thereby the spirit is in his own kind connected with God, for there flow to him ever more streams bearing within them the recognition of the Will of God, which only at that moment is the spirit permitted rightly to recognise and to savour
He is united with the Harmony of the Creator, and at every moment the streaming of the Will of God, which he recognises as the All-Wisdom of Life filled with the Love of that highest expression of care for every creature that was permitted to arise into its being, bears him forward
Whoever grasps this has with him everything important for the further development of his spirit
The way out lies within
Many men, however, still live in the belief that if they settle their thought-attitudes towards some outward question of life, therein lies that significant spiritual progress which is expected and willed in men by God
Such, however, is not the case
The condition for all changes in the life of man, if these are to bear in them a pure genuineness, is the awakening of the spiritual inner being, is its bright radiation of pure all-embracing kindliness into all parts of the work of Creation
And therefore every earthman who longs for a change for the better should direct all his powers towards it
He should set aside time for it, so that in an ardent attunement he may be able to unite within himself with the streams of the Light which flow down unceasingly from the heights, from the divine throne above Creation
Such time is immeasurably precious
It is prayer and the work of the spirit at one and the same time
The inward vibrancy of the spiritual spark, which in the hours of turning inward is freed from all secondary disturbing thoughts, is to be the beginning of the rebirth of the simple spirituality of man upon this earth
In this state there lies hidden the beginning of the true path for every human spirit who longs for the ascent to the Light
In it also there lies hidden the power for a real change in the general social ordering of life upon this earth
In the present time this means uniting with the Ray of Parzival and mediating its effects into the coarser stages of materiality through the coverings which the human spirit incarnated on earth bears upon himself
That is a supremely important work for every awakened man
For this work a definite time of the day is therefore to be set aside in earnest
The threads which are woven out of this vibrancy of the spiritual spark in man work in every direction as an immeasurably beneficial power raising everything nearer to the Light
These are those effects which the fine threads bear within them, for from them their radiance is used further for all the stages of the animistic weaving here on earth
The Alphar can then make use of their living vibrant power for the building up of a new world upon earth
Thereby, among other things, that so much sought co-operation between the humanly spiritual species and the animistic servants is also fulfilled
And it is something immeasurably great that lies in this co-operation
Men will grasp all this only after a certain time, when they become more open to a clearer perception of the work of all the animistic here on earth
Yet all can work upon it already today, for the power contained in it is at work, even though men are today still not able with their perception to follow it directly
The Power works and through the threads it creates a new world
Thus already today there can be created a new world of men, which will be here for all those who with ardour in their hearts seek the way to God
May there be over the whole earth as great a host as possible of such men
