The Bestowal of Translucency to the Body of Erda

Erda, the exalted, gentle servant of Valhalla, tending the gross material planet that circles far from the radiant places of the sacred halls of Valhalla, waits patiently until the time comes when she too may be set free from the burden which pressed upon her through the estrangement of earthly men from the ways of the Light

Her gentle patience will at last find its hearing

The ray of the radiation of Parzival will sift mankind, so that there shall remain here henceforth only those men who bear within themselves, together with childlike purity and humility, also complete trust in the Will of God working in the work of Creation

In this shifting of mankind there will then be contained something mighty, namely the blessing of the ascent of the solar system and of a whole great part of this universe here further upwards, towards the Light

Into these new places Erda, and not she alone but a whole part of this universe here, will be drawn by the Ray of Parzival, which will approach the earth most closely at a time that may even now be awaited

This will bring not only a transformation of the night sky, upon which after a long time there will again appear the clear signs of the zodiac, as the generations of the ancient peoples on earth knew them, but it will bring great changes also directly upon the animistic body of Erda

She will be refreshed by this Ray, and in the raising nearer to the Light there will awaken in her core a life which may be called, in a picture, a becoming translucent

With this becoming translucent of the core there are bound up many consequent happenings also upon the very plane of this earthly world here, which today can still only with difficulty be pictured

One of the manifestations will be the lessening of the gross material force of gravity, which now binds mankind and the whole earthly world in a constricting manner far more than was formerly the case

The consequence of this shifting will be that everything will be by a part greater than it is today

Men also will be greater by a certain, slight part, for the bodily organism will adapt itself swiftly to the new changes

It will be again as in the times of Atlantis, when human spirits were incarnated into more translucent bodies, which bore within themselves the capacity for a higher union with the finer degrees of life

The new generations will already experience this as a wholly natural state

A consequence of this will also be that the bodies of men and of animals and of plants will be more permeable to the fine streams of the Light than is the case today

Thereby the organism of man will be able to open itself to powers out of which he will be able to draw far more refreshment and strengthening of the ethereal and of the animistic kind

The outcome of this will be a state in which, for the full strength of life of such men, less nourishment of the earthly kind will suffice, and this will moreover naturally be composed above all of the plant kind

All that will take its course on earth will be in a certain kind lighter, easier

This foretelling lightness will pass through all things and will bring of itself far more health and strength than men today can know in their present earthly bodies woven about with heaviness

Through all things there will pass a higher, more translucent radiation, and this will at once bring successes in many directions

Above all, hand in hand with this there will go also a refining of the receptivity of the organs of the eyes and of the ears and of all the senses over which man rules through his body

Thereby it will draw nearer as a more evident reality that men will be more closely bound with the world of the animistic servants, for the refining of the sense organs will release the faculties of the inner soul coverings and animistic coverings, which will then naturally be more united with the other planes of the work of the Subsequent Creation

Hand in hand the earthly world of men will then be able to stride with the world of the animistic servants, and their co-operation will again bring the possibilities of building which were on earth long ago, hundreds of thousands of years since

The working of stones and the moving of them will again be like that happening which was here in a far-off time

To this Hermetes will also add his bestowing part, who will make it possible that for the needful time the otherwise dense and hard quarried stones become easily workable with light tools

After the working there will return again, under the working of the influence of Hermetes, to the stones already worked and set in their place, the density and firmness which lastingly belongs to them

Everything will succeed more easily in being brought to life, be it buildings, the growing of plants, the relation with animals, or the joining of inspirations out of the worlds of the finer existence of human souls

The bandage laid so tightly today upon the eyes of men will be loosened, and the passing between this world here and the beyond will become but a light divide, which will make it possible for men to meet their fellow men who go before them earlier in the departure to the beyond

Into the life of men there will enter wholly new perceptions, and there will become a natural part of it a measure of consciousness and of knowledge which today still appears as something extraordinary, singular

Through the shifting of Erda into the higher parts of the universe – the hermetis, which even now is being prepared – the world of men here on earth will be such as it was ever meant to be

Life here will become a conscious striding in the daily experiencing of a living union with the other planes of Creation

The gift of Erda is the most important which men will receive, if they earn the right to remain here when the time of the great transformations comes

All the other gifts of the High animistic servants need to be pictured precisely in connection with this fundamental shifting of Erda in the worlds of the universe

Therefore it is needful also to look upon the gifts of the other High animistic servants described earlier in the picture now described of the changes which will come about with Erda herself

When the time comes, it will go upwards

It will not, however, be felt as though man let himself be carried in a lift, for the shifting will come about by degrees in the course of single years, or perhaps even of tens of earthly years

The shifting will thus be earthly almost imperceptible, for all will go gradually, and Erda will rise together with all the other animistic servants who dwell upon the surrounding planets in the solar system

Thus the only thing that will seem singular to men at the beginning of these changes will be that a shifting of the distant constellations in the heavens will come about, whereby wholly new outlooks upon the night vault will open themselves

Glorious figures will emerge, and the sight of the stars and of the galaxies will awaken a peculiar sacred trembling in men whenever they look upwards

After the first confusions, which will arise when the night sky begins to change, a calming will come about, for those men who will remain on earth will by degrees be more open to trust in God's wise guidance of things, and thus they will receive these changes as a shifting into a new time of mankind on earth

The happenings of the Will of God will be a part of every day, and men will learn to experience them as something which awakens in them reverence and also a joyful looking forward to what is yet to come

The earth of today's toiling world will become a past blown away, and its heaviness and impermeability to the Light will become a stretch of far-off history joyfully forgotten by men

The great gift of Erda is, however, bound up with a weighty change in men, with a change which must now come, for everything will be driven towards it by the pressure of the strengthening Light

For many men the oncoming time will be a period of great inward struggle, wherein they alone will decide upon their further development, for all the acting, thinking and intuitive perceiving of man will by degrees be exposed to the strengthened working of the Law of Reciprocal Action, which will be the mightiest bearer of the manifestation of the Will of God on earth

Every resisting of man against this working of the Light, with regard to the oncoming changes bound up therewith, appears only as the sullen straining of an unknowing child which has no inkling of what lies hidden for it beyond the horizon, whither the way is shown to it

With obstinacy it wills to remain in the old, having no inkling of what glory awaits it but a little further on, if it would stir from its place

There is hardly anything to add thereto, only this, that men who truly know will not hesitate for a moment to do all things for the change within themselves and upon themselves which will bring them the possibility of a great shifting towards a life that is for them the fulfilment of prayers heard, wherein millions for thousands of years lifted up their hands and besought that the kingdom of God might come upon this earth

This kingdom is announced and is also already coming, step by step

It comes, however, otherwise than men await, for they wish to see in it only a partial bettering of the life that exists

The kingdom of God on earth is, however, far more comprehensive, in what it brings there is contained the promise that everything will be new, and therefore it can never fulfil human imaginings, because it is to bring far more blessing than men are even able to picture

The Will of God is other than men picture it today, other than they still wish it to be today

In its strict demanding of purity of human volition it offers at the same time blessing and ascent such as men are not able to picture today even in their boldest outlooks

Let men change themselves to the pure striving to do good to their fellow men and to forgive them their faults, and all else will come swiftly of itself

It must, however, be done in listening to the Laws of God, thus according to the wise Will of God, not according to one's own imaginings of the good

This demands movement and effort

Yet this effort is the most precious thing, which will bring about the changes that will at last show themselves upon men and around them

The exalted Erda has already stepped, in expectation of the changes, upon the first step of the new happening

Many a flash of lightning now flying through the universe bears the message of the nearness of the Ray of Parzival

In the great circling of the worlds it is now the eve of the changes of the rebirth of the earth and of the men dwelling upon her
