The Ascent of Life On Earth

THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – August 26, 2024

Although today the outward manifestations of life on Earth appear predominantly as tending only towards decline, the real development, which is wholly subject to the influence of the Wisdom of God, bears within it a great promise of ascent for all creatures who will be permitted to remain on Earth

There is therefore no need to carry within oneself any disquiet about what is to come

Because everything coming from God moves from above downwards, it always dwells first for some time in planes invisible to earthly eyes

Only in the right maturity does it then suddenly and surprisingly pass over into the density of the earthly world as well

Thus it always happens on Earth when something significant comes from the Light

And just now there is gathering a power appointed to call forth on Earth an important advance in development, which is destined for all life

Men open to the Light may thereby go to meet this approaching progress through their own endeavour to make luminous and to ennoble all their qualities, glowing through their living confidence in the presence of the All-Wisdom of God, which is the fundamental source of the spiritual upsurge that is to come

In the finer environment of the Earth there now circle, held in readiness, great inspirations bearing within them the promise of many forms of flowering, and that of an almost miraculous extent

If men saw even a little of all this, they would exert all their spiritual powers so as not to stand in the way of the coming of the refreshing power contained therein by their delay for even one single day

But before all that the Light has graciously made ready comes to this Earth, the animistic servants will first step forward with a heightened working, they who are the outermost termination of the manifestations of the Will of God for this Earth

And precisely so that men striving for the good may not begin to waver anew, during this coming working of the animistic servants, in their often so hard-won confidence in the Holy God, there is now given a prospect which will be comprehensible to all those who with sincerity in their inner being have entered upon the transformation for the better in the time between two Festivals of the Grail

For the rest, however, it will all be far harder to accept, for in several places they will lack the needed knowledge

Nevertheless it is now to be spoken of, for there draw near events which bear within them grave changes for all life on this Earth

Like a tempest there rushes through the universe a stream of the radiation of the Principle of life itself, the Principle of the Holy God

It follows the Ray of Parzival, because this inflowing of the unsubstantiate Power of God streaming through the Grail is appointed precisely to it, to penetrate to the Earth at the time of the coming Festival of Purity

The inflowing of the Holy Power of God into the universe above this Earth brings an all-embracing advance in the development of the whole happening

For the human spirit it is not fully possible rightly to picture in what all it will finally manifest and in what forms it will come to light in the visible world of gross matter

It is therefore better for the human spirit to prepare himself within for the fact that it will manifest in absolutely everything

It will penetrate into all the degrees and lesser degrees of the busy work of the animistic servants in their all-embracing working in the materialities

It will therefore enter into everything, so as to call forth happenings hitherto unexpected

It may be called a great advance which comes to bring about progress in the enlightenment of mankind, and at the same time to separate still more visibly the pure volition from the impure, so that it may become by yet another degree more recognisable to a greater number of men where and how the higher just power of the All-Wisdom of God works

According to the attunement of individual men it will work in their own threads of fate also

It will work so as to accelerate many happenings which are not yet known, although for almost five earthly years now it has been possible to speak of an unprecedented happening in the world of nature, and above all in the happening among men themselves

And now it will pour itself still more into everything astir with vitality, so as to strengthen this vitality, no matter of what kind it may be

The vitality called forth by men may be contained in that which strives towards the good, but also in everything that may be called evil

Through the ardour of human volition both may bear within them a certain degree of spiritual will to life, because it contains an inward stirring

Everything bearing within it a certain kind of vibrations will be strengthened exactly in its own kind, so that it may prove itself still more either as worthy of the blessing of God, or as that which through its strengthening reveals the necessity of its exclusion from the dawning age of Harmony on Earth

With men it will manifest just as with all creatures in nature, although with animals and with all other creatures of nature it will take other ways than with men, who are of spiritual and not of animistic origin

This strengthening will be the confirmation either of accord with, or of opposition to, the great Harmony of the work of Creation

This sifting has also been taking place for a certain time, yet men have still not been able to come upon the very essence which shows itself therein

They are unable to distinguish sufficiently therein the foundation of all the motives in this or that outward action of men

Not the actions and opinions of men, but the manner and the kinds of attunement with which they themselves step into the space of the work of Creation, that is what is subjected to the sifting and what also falls under the necessary consequences which will very soon appear

This will bring an enormous tension into the intuitive perceiving and the thinking of men

The degree it will reach cannot yet be pictured today, for it will resemble a pressure working in two directions

On the one hand everything alive in the inner being and in the thinking of men will be strengthened, so that it may step outwards, thus, simply said, so that it may manifest

At the same time, however, an outward pressure will work within it, which will bring almost immediately the answer whether the kind that is driven under the inward pressure out of man's inner being stands in accord with the Harmony of the Will of God in Creation or not

This will advance in man so far that either he will be purified and liberated, if his predominant volition is filled with good, or it will be driven ever more swiftly forward until it collides with the Laws of Creation, which will no longer let through what is not good, because it would cause harm to fellow-men or to the rest of life

It may be pictured as when a motor-car at full speed comes upon an obstacle which will not let it pass further

A collision must come which shatters everything connected with that driving force, be it the gross material shell, the astral or the soul covering of the spiritual spark out of which the original driving volition went forth

But this too needs to be pictured otherwise than it commonly is in naive imaginings

That shattering has many degrees and also many forms of fulfilment

It is not fitting here to occupy oneself with describing all that may come with it into the life of such a man, who in an ever-mounting feverish volition strives to assert his own will, which stands in opposition to the great Harmony

With every man the conditions of the weak places which will be struck first are wholly different

In one case it may be the health of the body, in another an illness of the brain, another again will be led by means of the threads of the Alphar into unexpected circumstances, so that he may express himself in some way, and on the basis of his expression in the present there will then be set off a swift sequence of happenings which along self-acting ways will immediately fulfil the further development of his path

It may be said that it will indeed always be adapted down to the smallest particles by the working Justice

And as many as there are men on Earth, so many are the wholly unique tangles of fate out of which the further path is shaped

It is certain, however, that it will come about in such a way that man may always still recognise the motives which have brought him where he now stands, and also that he may for at least a brief moment behold the possibility of a change in some decision

That is the grace-filled help of God which is woven into every unfolding fate of man

Whether he sees this help and orders himself according to it is then solely and only his own affair, for therein his free will must of necessity remain to him

For the near future men should therefore wholly still within them all their secondary and inferior currents of thought, so that these may not disturb them in the moment when they are brought close to one of their fundamental decisions

And such a fundamental decision will now of necessity come to every one of the men on Earth

For those who strive for the good in their inner being and in their thoughts towards all life in the work of Creation, so that thereby the ripe luminosity of their spiritual inner core may be confirmed, and for those who are still struggling for their inward balance, it will be a great turning point, or else a strengthened cause of a fall down into the lowlands, out of which it will then not be easy to return again to a nobler humanity

All this is now in the universe

Men could already have caught it up had they devoted enough of the vigilance of their inner being to it, for it is announced by many happenings in the sky, which men, however, designate with the scientifically captivating name of the polar lights

Such a thing is never merely a purely gross material phenomenon

This time too it was to be an announcement of the onrushing power of the Divine kind, which in its inflowing into the universe must in the present time have called forth happenings on the Sun of Apollo and also on many further stars and planets, of which men do not yet suspect the least thing

All of it is solely and only a gracious announcing of the coming of a grave period for life on this Earth

Of that period out of which, however, there will at last arise a great ascent for all who persevere in their striving for the all-embracing volition of good

Whole hosts, however, will alas be stricken in their thinking, which will show itself as the consequence of the rank cultivation of the intellectual manner of reflection

It will be sad to observe, for men otherwise healthy will become ruins in their thinking, which will suddenly betray them and bring them much hardship in unexpected decisions

With many it will call forth a falling of dominoes, in which one inconspicuous thing brings about grave consequences of a great kind

And only a cleaving with one's inner being to a complete freeing from all oppressive thoughts will be the promise that help may draw near to such a man from the finer planes

Today men do not yet suspect even in part how precious a gift is the capacity for inward peacefulness in stillness and in a joyful, wordless connection with the Light

Whoever attains this has his way forward half cleared

He needs only that the violent swings of moods and of ugly thoughts should not in the end turn his way into a wrong direction

In nothing should convulsiveness and overstrain be practised

Under the pressure of the onrushing inflowing of the forces this kind of attunement may bring even a man who otherwise wills the good to such disquiet and to such a tearing away from the present that his originally perhaps purely intended endeavours become fanaticism and tyranny

In exactly the same way, however, this effect will in the end bring the path to a collision with those who feverishly seek to assert only their own limited will towards their surroundings

Therefore with the utmost vigilance of the intuitive perception care should be taken that no one become a tyrant to others, and it matters not whether this holds in the smallest things, which call forth a smile in a man filled with peacefulness, or whether it leads to grave upheavals in society

The stubborn assertion of anything without connection with the Light and with the pure streaming of the forces of God calls forth only tension, which swiftly draws to itself a heightening of the pressure, and again a collision comes about

Inward peace, on the other hand, and a peaceful vibrating of the inner being will draw to itself in homogeneity a great inflowing of a like kind of radiation, which unites such a man with the helping servants who raise him high into the luminous heights

There is therefore a call to a peacefulness full of peace, which, in union with all-embracing good, is the best foundation for the coming time of great changes

Enlightenment will not be able to come at all upon any other soil in man than where inward peace is to be found

Therefore on the Way of the Grail there was also, as a help, the summons to an accelerated transformation of man's inward disposition in the course of 100 days

The Festival of the Pure Lily draws near, and thereby with each further day the possibility grows shorter for men to make within them the change for the better beforehand, as a wise preparation for the happening rising on the horizon

Yet it is still possible, in the complete surrender of one's spirit into the vibrations of the Light, for the spirit at least in part to make up something of what it may have let slip in the previous months through a superficial approach or through hesitation

It is not only an opportunity to free oneself from the multitude of one's own shortcomings, which hang firmly suspended upon the soul and in the thoughts of man in the form of dogmas and of rigid opinions about oneself and about other people

There is contained in it a hitherto uncomprehended preparation for the union with the ascent of all life on Earth

This ascent will interweave hand in hand with a happening which will be perceived as, in a certain sense, a harsh and unyielding rebirth into the new age on Earth

All this is joined in the radiation which rushes through the universe towards these places, for so it is appointed by the All-Wisdom of God

The luminous power is accompanied by hosts of angels who point the direction for the flowing of the blessing and at the same time of the utterly just sifting throughout the whole of mankind

Let all therefore be on watch with their spirit

Soon it will pass over into the very earthliness of this world, in order to judge, and at the same time so that the new building up of an enlightened life of men on Earth may be shaped

Thus in the coming time the collapse of the old kind of intuitive perceiving and thinking of men and the birth of liberating knowledge will go side by side, hand in hand, as a rescuing ray of hope for all who will be open to it with their inner being

It is therefore fitting to call upon all who already now strive for the good to remain in peacefulness, although in the time drawing near many things will come to pass which men would never have expected

In everything, however, it will still be very well possible to behold the effect of the Just All-Wisdom of God, which out of the unsubstantiate radiation of the Principle of Life bestows upon the Ray of Parzival all that is needed for the settling of everything hitherto and for the building up of the new

If observers guide themselves by the knowledge of the Just weaving of the threads by the weavers, they will gradually be permitted to see in everything the strictly guided possibilities of happening whereby this or that thing becomes a gross material reality

It requires, however, the highest capacity for vigilant perceiving and also the needed knowledge of how the Laws of Creation work into the manifestations of the paths of men through their threads of fate

That is a great knowledge, and only a few are already able today to survey it in single happenings

As a rule it is only here and there a flash of something brighter which rises into a man's consciousness, so that he sees more than others

Nevertheless nothing in this space of the Subsequent Creation is ever shrouded in any impenetrable mystery

Everything has a clear beginning and end

Even though the final manifestation is a happening of the highest mobility, in which the most important part is played by the present attunement in the man to whom something of the past returns along the threads of fate, it is always possible to find in everything, down to the smallest particles, the manifestation of the Just Wisdom of God

Precisely here many errors are made on the part of men seeking answers, when their attention is fixed upon the beginning, perhaps far back in the past, although the most decisive thing, which up to the last moment determines the manner and the form of the returning threads that demand to be lived out, is solely and only the moment of the present, and thus how such a man is attuned at that hour

Where the all-embracing volition towards good prevails, thus kindliness, peacefulness and inward joy, there even the heaviest experiencing contained in the returning threads may still at the last be changed into a more merciful kind of living out

But conversely, where for instance threads return to a man demanding only a light laying aside of something past and find him in the present in a disposition of unrest, of anger, of hatred, or perhaps even of a fully conscious volition of evil, there they may in the end manifest quite unexpectedly in a grave manner, hard for his earthly life

The inward attunement in the present therefore plays a far greater part than men have hitherto ascribed to it

If, however, they looked rightly and vigilantly upon all that takes place in the world around them, they could penetrate into it and grasp therein the everywhere working perfection of the Laws of God

It is conditional only upon a good knowledge of how the threads of fate are formed by the weavers, and there is also the necessity of an inward humility, which is needed so that an understanding of happenings that have their origin outside the gross material world may reach the man seeking answers to earnest questions

Answers to earnest questions can thus come only to such a man as does not float in the superficiality of hasty judgments, as is generally the custom

It is conditional upon the highest mobility of the spiritual inner core in intuitive perceiving

Where such striving is in a man, there, into the rightly prepared soil within, a becoming luminous and an enlightenment may then come

From the primordially spiritual Grail countless helps stoop down to men on Earth

Through the radiation surrounding Parzival the fulfilment of all the great promises descends

In this alone men will be able to observe ever more clearly that the Creator in His Lovingness leads everything step by step upwards, towards the building up of the Kingdom of God on Earth

Thereby in many a soul that has hitherto wavered so greatly confidence in God will be restored anew

In this becoming luminous there will then awaken in many men all the capacities laid within them from the beginning, which lead to the recognition of the wise perfection of God in everything that is to be found in the work of Creation as part of the great Harmony
