The Animistic Servants in the Nearness of Inwardly Pure People

Many people have no inkling at all of how important and at the same time how immeasurably blessed is that condition in which, thanks to the attainment of a higher degree of spiritual purity, a great multitude of animistic servants may stand at a man's side in his nearness, forming around him a helpfully protecting radiation in everyday life

Of the animistic servants and of their activity only a negligible number of people on earth know anything at all today

It is well-nigh painful to see everywhere only the ignorance prevailing in this matter, in contrast to how it should be

And even those people who belong to that small number, who do know something, when they speak of the animistic servants only dimly sense all that is contained in their manner of working

Above all, what greatness lies in the exalted name Valhalla

The whole picture of the connection and the co-operation between men and the animistic servants is greatly distorted and displaced by the narrowing of the boundaries formed through the ponderous comprehension of the intellect

Only here and there can someone truly grasp and sense something of it

It is therefore something exceptional to perceive something higher which lies in a more vigorous kind of creating, or even that man should comprehend in it why and how all this penetrates into the materiality around him

Nevertheless it happens now and then that man grasps it in his perceiving

These are then those moments which inwardly more sensitive people call a touch of higher help, in part also a miracle, but most often good fortune which has turned to their side in an unexpected hour of some distress

Yet such occurrences are never a chance happening, nor foolish luck, as is mostly held in the empty conception of life of the majority of people

Always in such a moment the wise working of the animistic servants is present

Precisely in such hours the threads of fate often work in the highest vibration for man, so that through helping hands aid of manifold kinds may come

The one concerned should rejoice over it in pure childlikeness

At the same time he should ever more consciously come to know in it the world of animistic forces hitherto unknown to him, which work helpfully for all purely striving human spirits in this materiality

Many a one has surely been permitted already to meet with it in some form

These were the hours when help came to a man in the grave moments of his distress

And he, not seldom freed through the work of the animistic servants, to the very limit of what was possible, from grave consequences which would have arisen for him in the following years of his earth-life, then says only that fortune was on his side

Yes, he was indeed fortunate that in that hour many hands of animistic helpers were permitted to be around him

Often it reaches even into the smallest trifles which, had they come about as they should have come in full force from the standpoint of the Laws of Creation, would have brought a man so many hardships that under their weight he could only despair painfully over his fate

At the last moment many a man can be helped even in that case where the wilfulness of an evil human volition wishes something bad upon another

The evil volition of men and of ethereal souls turned away from the Light can be deflected by the animistic servants, or its effect so weakened that this volition reaches the pure man only as a breath causing a momentary sensation of inward repugnance

All the rest, originally sent out by him who formed the evil, remains without greater effect upon the one who was the object of his volition, if this one is inwardly pure

The Laws of Creation make admirable things possible for the animistic servants who weave the threads of men's fate

It is otherwise with those people who bear something homogeneous within themselves

In such a case the ugliness and the wishing of evil can fight its way through to the man and penetrate into his nearness so as to influence his path through life

Much of this happening is nourished on the ground of the past paths of people who met at some earlier time, caused each other pain and suffering, and with whom forgiveness on at least one of the two sides has not yet been attained

Then the forces can work, and despite certain efforts to break free of their influence neither of the two sides succeeds in raising itself higher towards liberation

The persisting baseness binds the souls chained to each other and holds them below without any possibility of ascending upwards to the Light

Earthly incarnation plays no great part in this, for these are ethereal influences

And such things do indeed happen to people

Therefore we can see again and again the manifold heavy destinies of those with whom the protection could not manifest itself with greater graciousness

This continually creates a world of apparent injustice, in which some suffer, contending with the most incredible afflictions of health and in the experiences that befall them, while at the same time others are strikingly free of all this

They go more lightly through life in all small and greater matters, although their fellow-men pass through everything only in painful stumbling amid a seemingly unending suffering

Instead of those who go more lightly occupying themselves more earnestly with how it is possible that this befalls them so differently from other people, and using fully the help of the animistic servants so favourable to them for further ascent, they often take it superficially, even as a matter of course belonging to their life

Thereby they themselves weaken the full value of all that help which is invisible at first glance

Yet many ought to bear within themselves unceasingly a fervent thanks for the aid of the animistic servants working around them, who help them unselfishly

With many people such help is given only so that they may one day fulfil something important which they promised to fulfil, and for the sake of which they came to this earth as spiritual servants sent forth

They are helped even though it is most often to be expected that a great part of the people thus graciously led by the animistic weavers will in the end evidently not fulfil their mission entirely as fully as they could

Yet from the Light help is still extended to them through the patient labour of the animistic forces, because these servants were called to help

Thus everywhere around many people hands are constantly stretched out in help

Why then will people not see in all this the glimmerings of that great co-operation which should long since have prevailed far more consciously between the spiritual and the animistic on this earth

The animistic servants joyfully fulfil all that is appointed to them by the Will of God, in spite of men who, although they have some spiritual task here, often go through life thoughtlessly and in their irresponsible ways of acting create for the animistic servants many an obstacle to shielding them from threatening consequences and thereby keeping them in order for the time of their possible inner awakening and their subsequent entering into the service of the Light

If only a more conscious co-operation could prevail in this, then many things could become far more effective in another, much more valuable joint working than is the case with the protection of the inwardly still slumbering people who go astray, although they have here yet some other task than the living of life purely for the purpose of their own spiritual ripening

The animistic ones stand readily prepared for this co-operation

Their help is at hand everywhere where a man who came to earth with some task is to be shielded from the dangers and hardships in this world

It could even be near a man lastingly and without cease, if only he worked rightly in it through his inner attunement

Something of this kind is in reality given to man as a natural state, for from the beginning of their wandering on the path of spiritual development the young spiritual sparks were, at the bidding of the Creator, surrounded by helpers who were always to lead them through all happenings in such a way that, maintaining inner purity, they could emerge from everything as victors, thus ever endowed with precious experiences of the benevolent help granted them through the intermediaries sent to them by God

There is not a single happening in the whole of Subsequent Creation which takes place without the co-operation of the animistic servants

The animistic ones are sent out to this task of helping the human spirits from the regions of Valhalla, or also from the somewhat lower-lying planes of the luminous lands of their starting-point in Asgard

There, in a certain sense, is the birthplace and the origin of the animistic servants, who thereafter penetrate into all parts of the lower-lying planes of the materialities

The materialities are for the greatest part of them the field of their activity

The call from the heights of the Grail led these faithful helpers to the realising of the Will of God in the remote worlds of Subsequent Creation

Therefore men also, as spiritual sparks developing in Subsequent Creation, are well acquainted with the existence of these servants

At the beginning of their path they were permitted to know and to experience it in pure comprehension

It therefore lies deep within the inner being of every man

It resounds like the distant ringing of great tales, of fairy stories and legends

But it was not given to man that he should experience it thus as something distant and past, but that it should become the complete naturalness of every day

It was given as part of the knowledge that around the human spirit and its coverings there is always a great multitude of these helpers bearing an animistic origin within themselves

It is therefore a great challenge that this should become for earthmen here on earth something known and also lastingly experienced

The dividing chasm which the materially directed work of the intellect has created in this needs to be closed

Then the awareness of the all-pervading activity of the great, the lesser and the very smallest animistic servants of Valhalla will become the most natural part of the daily life of earthmen

Now is the time when the trench formed by the intellect is to be levelled, so that the two parts which always go side by side, the spiritual and the animistic on earth, may find cause for close accord, as it should always have been

Therefore the speaking of the animistic weaving is also an inseparable part of the coming great spiritual enlightenment on earth

In order that they may bear witness of it to others who in this will still be seekers, all those who go even a little in advance are to become fully experiencing of the nearness of the animistic servants everywhere about them

From this too there will arise for them many an unsuspected helping experience

There is therefore no reason to hesitate in it any longer

Around men there work unceasingly the weavers of the threads, the Vaenen and the Alphar

They weave the vibrations of volition which through the law of movement are continually born in man on all the planes of his coverings

Intuitive perceptions, feelings, thoughts, deeds

There is nothing that remains hidden from them

They know the human inner being better than most earthmen influenced by the material intellect know it in themselves

With great longing these weavers look towards the time when they will be able to take up in man predominantly only that which is pure and filled with a fervent striving to attain maturity and wisdom

People ought to know of their work, for out of their weaving the happenings in the materialities take shape

They are those who make a man's life either heavy, or light, or at least more bearable, if he strives to learn from his faults and shortcomings

Without them there would be no happenings entering into human life

In this they work together with all the other animistic servants who have charge of the living world which men call nature, matter, the universe

It is a perfect loom in which arises all that, as forms destined for the human world, is connected with this gross materiality

People have no inkling how greatly they are interwoven with the animistic species, through the particles of the unconsciously animistic which are present as the animating radiation of their bodies

And there are also the small and the greater Aglami

The Aglami stand ready everywhere around inwardly more luminous people to help in the most ordinary trifles of every day

Just as of the Aglami, so too do people know nothing more precise of the Alphar and of their important activity in the present time

Of the important task of these servants more detailed connections have been written in separate texts on the Way of the Grail

The Alphar hold in readiness many a thread of help in the weaving of the small events in the lives of those people who long to live purely and who in their consciousness seek the connection with the Ray of Parzival

Everything is prepared, and it is only awaited when the perceiving of earthmen will move forward

The pressure which is driven forward by the nearness of the Ray of Parzival also increases in this, for it is no longer possible to delay in it any longer

There is demanded of those who have more awareness of the work of the animistic servants a trust in the just working of the Laws of God, which are present in their activity in every place

Only now are those great happenings drawing near in fine vibrations, which will only then be able to enter into the material world as a part of it, so surprising to the rigid thinking of the people of today

All those small and great servants of God work with such exactitude that never can injustice be found in their fulfilling

This therefore gives certainty to everyone who strives always to act justly and purely towards the surrounding world, that is towards other people and towards nature, that he himself will receive exactly the same kind of treatment from all the servants of Valhalla

Already in this realisation lies the knowledge of the great help which is near to every man earnestly striving towards the Light

Only there, where for some reason the returning threads of fate or a man's deviation into moodiness can still permit a breach in the protection held by the animistic servants, can something then happen which appears to people as a confirmation that such a thing as protection from the Light over man is not fulfilled

Yet the cause of this is always and solely man himself

The hands of the servants would surely have guarded him carefully, if the radiation lying in the threads of fate had permitted it

It should at last be rightly understood that it is precisely that unsuspectedly delicate livingness of the threads which in the experiences of men so often creates a distrust of the Justice of God

This Justice is always and everywhere present

Through its working it plainly confirms only this, that the present earthly perceiving of men is marked by an insufficiency in accepting the fact that everything in Creation is at every moment a supremely living happening, in which the lasting protection of man rests solely upon his own constancy in the pure striving for good

Precisely in this much is still neglected and underestimated on the part of earthmen

Simply put – people content themselves with only a very small effort to be good

It suffices them that in comparison with the people around them they may for a time consider themselves better than others, upon whom they look as those who err more

Although this is often only the work of an intellectual judgment about others and not the fruit of pure intuitive perceiving, it already quickly creates in such people the impression that from the Justice of God they deserve only the very best treatment, and that therefore nothing should befall them of what they regard as unpleasantness

But the Laws of God do not work in this way at all, for they weave the present and all the experiencing that takes place in it as the resultant of the very finest kinds of radiation

All that the hands of the weavers weave for the moments of a man's earthly experiencing can be regarded only as the most kindly guidance from the standpoint of the higher spiritual goal, which bears within itself the inexpressible value of the promise of eternal being in the Light

Of all this people should always think when they suppose that from the side of their life's fate seemingly only unjust things befall them

Injustice may perhaps still come temporarily from the side of men, through their wrongly used free will

But on the part of the animistic servants we shall never and nowhere find even a single particle of injustice

Therefore all that happens to a man striving towards the Light may be regarded as manifestations of help and of strengthening on his path, as a great message from the small and the great animistic servants of Valhalla

It can always be called only the fulfilling of the Just working of the Laws of God

Every man could be surrounded surprisingly quickly by the protection of the helping radiation from the animistic servants

In this radiation, which is nothing other than the determining radiation of the Laws of God in Creation, there would at once be found help for the bettering of everything that still needs to be lived through and laid aside

The condition for this, however, is constancy and a certain humble patience on the part of the inwardly awakened man

Impatience and discontent corrode this protection, and it would have to dissolve again, even though it had perhaps already begun to form around the man, and into his experiencing everything would come at last in manifestations of a heavier kind of living through

Earthman, without being aware of it, is lastingly borne by a streaming radiation of the animistic kind, out of whose vibrations there step forth the outwardly visible and tangible forms which constitute the surroundings for the life of every man

It is a great task to come to know the meaning and the lawfulness of the forming of this streaming radiation of the animistic servants, to penetrate into the fine threads of its shaping, and thereby to become a knower of all that of necessity comes into this world of men

At the first glance, as also in a lifetime of coming to know, there will always come to man in the end one simple and right conclusion

This conclusion will always bear witness to an indisputable result

Solely the measure of the liveliness of the spirit, which with its strength and purity fills the volition for good, is the key to everything that thereafter befalls a man on his path through life

All the rest can be called only small fragments of partial knowledge, out of which here on earth over millennia there arose the philosophical reflections of men about life which endure to this day

Fragments and particles of the great and yet simple Truth coming to men directly from the Creator are held to be great knowledge about life

Yet the Truth is attainable

The Truth will always speak of this, that the beginning of the path to the liberation of the human spirit lies in his volition for good

The measure of the volition for good, or on the contrary the volition for something not good, lawfully influences every single human destiny

Out of volition there were also born many threads of the past, which press upon man either in his very present or which will lawfully still come in a future time, and the release from them lies in the pure striving of the spirit for all-embracing good

Therefore it is needful for everyone to come to know that work of the animistic servants whose very task is all the releasing of the threads flowing out of volition, for this will bring every earnest investigator only to the confirmation of the perfect Wisdom and Justice of God resting therein, and that down to the smallest particle of every experience

Everything must be repaid and balanced to the last farthing

And this repayment lies in the atonement and the living-out which can begin with the entering upon the path of all-embracing good in man

It needs to be a lived condition of lasting attunement in every moment of being

Let no one therefore deceive himself with superficiality and the suppositions arising from it that it perhaps suffices to be here and there somewhat better than others

Any lukewarmness is taken up and incorruptibly spun by the weavers into new threads of a man's fate

For the entering upon the right direction, therefore, only the living of pure fervour in every moment avails

And that also where people often have no wish for it, because it demands of them a self-conquest for new attitudes towards their fellow-men

If, however, a man achieves something of this kind, then there will also gradually die away in him the condemning criticism of others which is so all-pervading today

Together with this, however, there will awaken a higher receptivity for compassion, and thereby also for the seeking of wise help for all who seek help in the striving for their own change

Whoever passes through this transformation within himself, around him there will at once begin to form a protective circle out of the radiation of the animistic servants, who were sent to him as supporters on his path to the Light

Thereby everything around the man will gradually change for the better

If this does not happen, then his own change needs to be still more marked and more fervently experienced

Then in the end everything will turn to a good result

Under the working power of the Ray of Parzival a man who honestly strives for the change of himself for the better may regard it as fulfilled in advance

As he intuitively perceives, thinks and acts today, exactly so will the threads of his fate be woven, so that already in the near time they may become for him a lived present
