The Aether in the Universe

That which in the near future will completely change the view hitherto held by mankind upon the properties of matter and upon the manifestations of the happenings that fulfil themselves within it is the new knowledge of the Aether

Beside the Aether itself and its hitherto undiscovered working upon all the life that is to be found in the materialities, there is prepared for the near future the penetration of human knowledge into the happenings connected with the whirling movement of matter

The whirling of matter, which we may also otherwise describe as a phenomenon contained in any relative frictional force of material particles, is an important knowledge for the use of the support of the Aether

The friction of the particles of matter circling in a sucking centripetal whirl is the fundamental knowledge for a wholly new future view of the penetration of the forces of the Aether into gross materiality

This happening fulfils itself of its own accord, and this upon absolutely all the planes that earthly man is able to call to mind

The friction of the particles in a circling centripetal whirl calls forth in the forces of the Aether the impulse to nourish such a material happening again and again with the forces contained in the Aether, whose foundation may be likened to an inexhaustible source

There will always stream from O-dio-nar, through his will, the all-animating force out of which the Aether is formed

So is it determined by the All-Wisdom of God, which in this direction sent to the animistic servant the command and also, in Its loving-kindness, granted him for it out of Itself the eternal Power of God

Therefore it is possible to proceed from this, that the drawing of the Aether upon the Earth as the bearer of healing and driving forces coming into the space of the Subsequent Creation is the way to the gaining of a wholly new spring of forces, of which the present world of intellectual men does not yet wish to know anything

Among other things, precisely this materially invisible and for the greater part also immeasurable force contained in the Aether is otherwise named also as Od, Prana, Chi, Mani-tou and by many other names besides, according to when and where it was recognised by men

But towards all this mankind will gradually mature through the experiences which, one after another, are now prepared for this Earth

The whirling movement calling forth the friction of material particles we find meanwhile everywhere around us in nature and in the universe

It is the foundation of all that results in mechanical and electromagnetic phenomena in gross matter

The whole universe with all its planets, stars, galaxies and clusters of galaxies is like a great machinery working upon the principle of the circling friction of particles, through whose movement there arises a sucking magnetism for the attracting of the forces of the Aether

The circling rotation is the reason for the maintaining of the magnetism for the abiding inflow of the Aether into matter

Only men upon the Earth have not yet succeeded in calling forth this movement in such a way that the matter governed by them is not at the same time braked by higher forces, which they call the forces of material inertia, whose effects were transferred into mathematics and physics in the calculation of the laws of thermodynamics

It has not yet been recognised that if the universe of itself were not abidingly nourished by the forces of the Aether, then in its ponderousness it would gradually come to a standstill and would collapse into itself

This because the particles of matter of themselves would not maintain their circling movement in such a way that the dynamics of their movement could endure even without the inflow of the Aether

It would be so, that by an immense sucking whirl all that exists in the universe would be drawn into disintegration, whereby that which preserves within itself at least a particle of its own aliveness would separate itself from the lifeless, in order to be drawn to the levels of homogeneity lying higher

The mentioned immense sucking whirl would be the last effect of the Aether in the materialities, if it were determined that the Aether should withdraw from the Subsequent Creation back to O-dio-nar

All that exists in matter draws the Aether into itself and needs its close presence for its nourishment

That science has until now not recognised anything of this kind testifies to its lagging behind the actual recognition which alone we may call true knowledge

Until now science is far removed from anything of this kind

In part, however, this may on the side of the scientists be called even a deliberate step, for the endeavour of intellectual men has always been to remove from their pictures of thought the simple grasping of the connection that all that has arisen and endures in the universe is dependent upon the primordial eternal source of all forces, which is with the Creator, that is with God Himself

Rather is it adjusted by scientific ways by means of the calculations of mathematical theories, which never wish to admit that everything in the Subsequent Creation must be abidingly nourished by an inflow of forces which are in origin either of the animistic or of the spiritual kind

Just as life upon the Earth would without the radiation of the sun quickly freeze and come to a standstill in its movement, exactly so would the whole material universe grow rigid and fall apart without the inflow of still higher kinds of forces, to which, apart from the spiritual streaming of forces, there belongs also that kind of animistic force which we call the Aether

Also the Sun itself would without the inflow of the Aether quickly lose its circling dynamics of the friction of the fine particles contained within it, would cool down and collapse into itself

It is again precisely the Aether alone that holds the Sun in its activity through its nourishing

The High animistic servant Apollo knows exactly the effects of the forces of the Aether, which with his help are transformed in the mighty circling of the star into all the kinds of beneficent solar radiation as we know it

We have therefore here also a solar Aether, which is perceptible by many people as a joy-bringing and life-bringing kind of streaming which pours from the Sun towards the Earth

It is a streaming of the Aether which is directed into the Sun

Precisely the material star, the Sun, acts in this case under the supervision of Apollo as a focusing lens receiving the Aether and thereafter directs it towards the goals within the space of the solar system, to which, besides other planets, the Earth belongs with all the life that is to be found upon it

Beside this, however, there is here the abidingly present, inconceivably great ocean of the Aether, in which, floating, there swims the whole vast universe, like a thickened mixture of rotating whirls of dense matter having the form of galaxies, stars and planets, which are to be found within the total infusion of one of the seven gross material parts of the Subsequent Creation

The natural pressure proceeding from the ocean of the Aether works as the primary force for the clustering of the particles of matter into greater wholes and is also the cause of the phenomenon which is until now recognised by men as the effects of the force of gravitation

It will only take some time yet before material science too acknowledges a change also in this matter, that is, that the primary force of earthly attraction is not merely the force-relation of the material parts in the universe, but that it is a matter of the invisible, yet nevertheless abidingly present working of the pressure of the ocean of the Aether, in which all that is grossly materially heavier is to be found

This pressure was also always the beginning of the accretion of gross material particles, which in friction and clustering came to a magnetism, through which a rotating movement arose

The rotating movement of the stars and the planets is the condition for their animating by the Aether for the further development of life, which can thus set in if the other necessary conditions for the arising of cellular or of another kind of life are also formed

This already suggests to every man who reflects livingly and who forms creatively in his thoughts that the power of the animistic Aether is not only the cause of the arising of all the particles of the universe and of their subsequent maintenance in movement, but that it is a power carrying within it also strengthening for all the striving of men, for only there where effort is expended may animation come

In the case of earthly man it is precisely the mobility upon all the planes of the being of the human spirit

Every movement of man residing in his wishes transforms itself into whirling and, according to its foundation, at once draws to itself strengthening kinds of forces

If we were able to see this rightly, then in the human body and around it and also upon the finer coverings of the soul we would with a healthy spiritual vibrating always behold circling movements which have the sucking and the centrifugal radiation of small and of great whirls

They would be whirls of a beautiful luminously radiant colouring, in which, in the case of the innermost glowing through of the spiritual spark of man, a hue of a bright violet kind would for the greatest part predominate

We would also behold only harmoniously formed shapes of whirling cones of varying breadth and length

Through these whirls there enters to man the animating force that he needs

At the same time, through the centrifugal whirls, that is outwards, the force received and worked through by him springs from man back into the outer space of the universe

Every wish, even the smallest, has upon the plane of the Aether the form of a whirling outpouring of radiation

Superficial wishes are of short duration and whirls of this kind quickly disperse into space

Strong inward wishes, however, have a cone-like shape which lengthens far into the distances of the universe, like a living connecting line which as a fine conduit leads back to man the answers and the just fulfilment of his wishes

Through the fact that radiation is given out outwards, it is made possible for man, in proportion to the measure of the nobility of the radiation, to draw new force from the Aether for its further working through

There is in this something admirable, which only in the time to come will men better recognise, and they will also make more their own the mastering of these currents, which today manifest themselves for the most part in the form of a chaotic shattering according to how contradictory the wishes and the goals of men in life are

By a thousand living threads each of the people is bound to his path, which it is needful for him to wander through, for it is nothing other than the fulfilment, forming itself in the Justice of God, of what he himself radiates in his wishes into Creation

The Aether supplies to this its kind of force, so that this may serve the weavers of the threads of fate as the material out of which whole levels and worlds are formed

There is so immeasurably much of it that it is even astonishing how it is possible that men still do not see it

But the answer is contained in simplicity – it is because they do not wish to see it

With those who then strive more towards a penetration into the depths, the great obstacle is, alas, their rankly overgrown, materially disposed intellect

In most cases, however, the will towards the perceiving of the finer levels is small

It may be said that the will towards anything that lies beyond the boundary of gross matter is with the men of today negligible

Were it otherwise, then long ago there would have been formed a way in human thinking for attention to be directed more towards that region which was always to have been the supreme prerogative of exalted human research into the meaning of being

Had sufficient will out of the wishes of men been devoted to it, then all the barriers that stand today in the way to a higher recognition of something so self-evident as the Aether would gradually have been released

Swiftly there would have come about in this a great advance, which is still lacking today, and therefore there is today for the majority of superficial people still maintained the enduring impression that nothing of the kind exists around them

In reality it is only a sign of the blindness and deafness grown out of the long-standing unwillingness to know anything of it

Only an abiding refusal must have brought the greater part of mankind today to where it is, that is to the stage of complete unreceptivity towards the forces of the Aether, which are nevertheless the primary ones for all else that happens in the universe

The crippling of the receptivity of the human survey brought at last upon this Earth the result that the overwhelming majority of people ceased entirely to perceive anything of that which was nevertheless always to have been a natural part of the understanding of all life

But the advance will come without delay

It will come, and this despite the existing dullness of men

The breakthrough is already close before us

It will come through the experiencing of confusion, of hopelessness and of despair, when everything of a gross material nature will show itself as already wholly insufficient for the needs of a worthy life of men upon the Earth

As much of what now exists begins to fail, so at the same time will the new way of true knowledge gradually show itself

All this is a part of the great spiritual enlightenment, which is now the command of the time for every human spirit incarnated upon this Earth

It will demand of every single man the summoning up of the inner forces of great courage for the grasping of the relentlessly harsh recognition that until now mankind with its knowledge stood only upon a very low level of development

Through whole millennia mankind has not moved forward even by a small particle in its understanding of the lawful happenings in the effects of the invisible forces

And yet long ago the valuable knowledge of the effects of the forces of animistic origin could have been used, to which the Aether belongs precisely as the primary force for the joining and the forming of the entire vast system of material universes

Before us stands a great awakening and the recognition that we as men have until now moved forward almost nowhere, compared with where we with our knowledge ought here upon the Earth already to have been

It will be an unsparing blow dealt to the arrogant intellect, which up to the present time supposed that it stood very far advanced in its researches and its knowledge of matter

Through the fact that men who proudly call themselves materialists, in the recognising of the happenings in matter with their ponderous intellect, entirely excluded the Aether as an important force driving everything in the universe, they took the greatest step directed against the right course of development

They denied the knowledge of that very force which they themselves urgently need for their life, for without the presence of the Aether they could not even draw a breath, the blood in their veins would not move even a fraction further, not a single cell would divide for the growth and the renewal of the organs of their earthly body

The supposition that all this happens somehow of itself as a consequence merely of outward physical forces and of chemical changes of substance is just as laughable as when a small child perceives the outward world of grown-ups in such a way that everything in it unfolds of itself, like the fairy-tale story of a puppet theatre

Without the Aether there would not be a single movement in the atom, there would be no molecules, cellular life would not have arisen, no earthly bodies would have developed with which the human spiritual consciousness could unite itself for the material recognition of all the connections concerning Creation, concerning the divine loving-kindness and the Justice working within it, so that man might thereby develop his intuitive perception up to the highest maturity and wisdom

The Aether therefore concerns us more than men today are at all aware

All that follows from this knowledge for us as earthly men we shall yet mention further in gradual steps, which will bring further knowledge widening the connections
