Strengthening On the Path to the Luminous Goal

Now it is needful that yet one more important realisation should ripen in many spiritually inclined men who long to help in the coming enlightenment upon this earth

It is the realisation of a hope-filled strengthening, which is to become a part of all the helping working of the Light for the present time

The Light and the Truth in the hands of the human spirit are to take on an entirely new form of creative activity, bringing the all-embracing victory of good to this earth

Herein lies that promise of the New Age of the Great Enlightenment of Mankind, which is coming to this earth

The new working for the Light is to proceed out of the beneficial union of the knowledge of the Truth with a hope constantly held out for a turn towards the better, as a manifestation of the Grace of God for everyone who longs to find the way to his ascent

It is something which alone can today bring the so greatly needed strengthening to this earth

All that is said today in connection with the Truth, with that higher strengthening power of the Light, helps men to free themselves from many fetters of their former wrong direction

Strengthening is inseparably bound up with everything that comes by the most direct way from the heights of Creation into the materialities

Pure spiritual working is now to bear within it visibly the reflection of the luminous heights

And in the heights of the blissful worlds of the spiritual spheres of the work of Creation there is nothing which does not at the same time bear within it reinforcement and strengthening for all that is weaker and still developing

Peacefulness and peace, directed patiently towards the result which lies in the liberation of all the spiritual out of the tangle of paths to be found in the material parts of Subsequent Creation, that is the working which descends from the gardens of Paradise

It is therefore evident that what is today to be recognised by all men upon earth, in the multitude of spoken and written words, as coming from the Light, needs always to bear within it this great condition – it will bear within it the pure and mature manifesting of the Truth in the form of a life-giving strengthening

By this men can guide themselves quite clearly in their discernment of what here on earth belongs to the Light and what does not

Where the needful maturity and purity are not to be found in the working of a man who speaks of spiritual values, there that pure strengthening power of healing effect will always be lacking which conveys a clear way out and thereby also hope

Where the ray of hope granted for the ascent of every inhabitant of the work of Creation is lacking, there the Light can never be, and thereby neither can the Truth

The Truth contains as a whole everything that is needed for ascent, and thus it inseparably contains also hope and strengthening for every single creature, if he will use the bestowed power for the purest unfolding of his abilities and thereby for his ascent

This is because the Truth, proceeding from God, contains everything that is needed for all life in the work of Creation

It bears within it support for all inhabitants, for all beings and creatures, without those distinctions which we see here on earth and which could spread among men only because the Truth is not rightly recognised here, still less does it penetrate into the life of all men

The existing ways of many men who speak of the Truth prove that in what they set forth as their knowledge it cannot be a question of that great, whole Truth which comes from the Holy God

It is then only a weak grasp of small flashes of the knowledge of the Truth, which, however, instead of a building up can provide only partial fragments resembling the crumbling stones of steps that lead upwards

Flashes of a partial understanding of the Truth have been here on earth since the beginning of mankind

Fragments and splinters of the Truth without the whole knowledge, however, bring men as a result only unripe fruit

Immaturity is thus the accompanying condition of mankind here

Many of those who speak of the Truth have not reached with their spirit the level of its all-embracing scope

With their descriptions of its splinters they do indeed create the impression of a certain knowledge of the Truth, but in reality they never bear within them the true connection with the whole outlook necessary for the ascent of the human spirit

Therefore today too there are many blind paths which will never have within them the connection with the Light

Although outwardly many tidings of God also appear seemingly helpful, they bear within them empty places which cause confusion and starvation to the receiving spirit

In many respects they are wrong paths

Where, for instance, belief in God leads a man to hatred towards other men, towards those of another faith upon earth, there there cannot be a single word of any knowledge of the Truth

Whoever remains haughtily rejecting his fellow men, or who even hates them for their otherness and is capable of hurting them, of harming them and of humiliating them in all the ways that are known upon earth, has not the Light within him, however much he sets himself up before others in the role of a proclaimer of the Truth

Let everyone be sufficiently attentive to this, for it is found both in the great deeds of nations and in the smallest impulses of a man

Where in a man the capacity to harm, to destroy and to cause pain to others awakens, there a hidden irritability lives, there an unbalanced soul persists, and therefore there can be neither maturity nor a right knowledge of God and of His Will

The Light and the Truth cannot dwell with a man who acts in such a way that he does not strive for his own part to be in every respect gentle, maturely exemplary and kindly in all the respects of pure human conduct

The Laws of Creation will not permit such a thing, that with this man the spring of the Truth could be found, which always dwells only there where the volition to give refreshment and strengthening abides

In the conduct of such men a distortion is then lived through, and not the Truth

It always shows itself outwardly as a weakness in the working

Thereby also all endeavour to awaken men who seek the meaning of life is in the result greatly lowered, indeed it is almost made impossible and never attains the desired result as it does when a pure strengthening permeating everything can stream to the earth as the companion of the proclaiming of the Truth

The Truth, in the right, that is, in the pure and wise veiling in words and in forms of deeds, will always bring refreshment and strengthening for the courageous striving of good men for a better world

It may also be put thus, that only a working which truly comes to the earth from the Light and is rightly formed for all men in the mature working out of the recognised Truth bears within it the promise of a way out of all the hardships of the human world for every inwardly open man

Only a procedure unfolding in this way holds within it, for the coming time, the promise of God's blessing

It is an effect which comes into consideration only in the case where the knowledge of the Truth is at the same time filled by those who mediate the Truth, by their own selves, with the refreshing effect of a wise strengthening

The Truth needs to be passed on in a manner which shows not only the right direction for freeing oneself from everything erroneous, but at the same time it needs to be given in words and deeds bearing within them hope and reinforcement for the confirmation that changes can be realised

Precisely for this reason it is that strengthening power which is the miraculous stream still sought by men, which quickens and pours in new enthusiasm for entering upon the right path

Yet everything needful is here

It rests in the happening in which the human inner being becomes truly and purely swinging in harmony with what belongs to the human spirit

That means to live in an all-embracing pure creative volition

This happening, in the form of the conduct of human considerateness, is at first almost always outwardly invisible

This is because the happening of strengthening unfolds from above downwards, streaming out of a more luminous, that is, at the beginning a finer and thereby less visible vibration, into a denser swinging which at last is also visible and also comprehensible to the understanding of men

It may be called the miraculous happening of the transformation of spiritual gifts which bear within them the possibility of shaping ways for the Light upon earth

It is a true mastery of the spirit in the case of him who is able to be a pure creator of channels for the Light which needs to reach the earthly perception of men

Men in general have today become insensitive towards everything finer

Yet with every man it happens that refreshment and courage for a new striving for a change to the better come to him also, if he opens himself to this strengthening power, though it be at first only by the smallest measure of accessibility

Only a small catching of the strengthening power in the openness of the spirit now suffices for many happenings at once to unfold which can lead to the complete inward awakening of a man

It is precisely that great working of the Light directed towards the awakening of millions of human souls still asleep

Through the inpouring of the strengthening power much obduracy is dissolved, and gradually there loosen many dogmas that have persisted with the human spirit through perhaps whole millennia of his path to maturity

The strengthening power is indeed miraculous and beneficial, for at the beginning it works first quietly in the very inner being of the soul, before it grows stronger so as then to enter further into the more perceptible consciousness of thought

In this too lies its healing power

Just as there is in it a seeming quietness and delicacy, there is at the same time contained in it the unshakable victory of the Light over all baseness and evil

The condition for this is openness and at least the smallest volition of the spirit to listen to this life-giving power, in which lies the call of the distant past that the spiritual spark, as the very germ of man, surely remembers

Everything that streams from the heights of Creation in the vibrations of the Will of God bears within it this strengthening

Therefore such a kind of vibration always needs to be preserved, so that the strengthening of the Will of God may at last sink also into words and sentences of the earthly kind

For this it is needful to work one's way, in earthly striving, up to that degree of swinging which is the condition for the connection with the high swinging that bears within it the streaming from the heights

And precisely such channels are the concepts and words used by men here on earth too in all the affairs of the common wandering through life

In this is hidden the essence of the great art of the mature spirit, which draws near only to that man who longs with his whole heart to swing in harmony with the Will of God, so that he may be of worth in the great happening of the Light upon earth in this present time of enlightenment

Whoever therefore longs today upon earth to work in the Will of God needs to make his own the streaming of the strengthening for the spiritual refreshment which is now to come

The world of earthly mankind hitherto finds itself for the greater part upon a blind path

And there are also already many men who perceive this ever more clearly with their inward intuitive sensing

Their inward echo of the spiritual spark, still only quiet and timid, seeks to come more to a conscious grasping in thoughts

And that is the right course in which the enlightenment of the coming age germinates

For them too are appointed all the helps in which the knowledge of the Truth and at the same time a great strengthening for the courage to step out upon a new path are to stand side by side

For this many helps are prepared from the Light, which will come later still to many men

So that all this may penetrate into the world of thought surrounding this small earth, it is needful to seek and to find words and concepts which through their swinging can work as a vibration quickening in its manner

It is the inpouring of helping forces from the finer spheres into this dense world of thoughts here, in which these finer forces first need to anchor themselves, so as to grow yet stronger, to ripen and gradually to flow over into the wider consciousness of men

Whoever attunes himself rightly to it can observe in it that important wall of Light which draws ever nearer to us

The wall works as a sharp dividing line between the existing world and that which is now coming for the liberation of many human spirits out of the captivity of the misery of soul and of matter here on earth

In it works a sharp severity demanding a fundamental change in the wandering hitherto, and at the same time beside it works precisely that strengthening which is the bearer of spiritual hope and of the resolve for the needed change

Therefore we may speak of the coming enlightenment, for it is the inescapable developmental course of the approaching happening

It is a lawful happening which works independently of the existing volition of men upon earth

The Light will come and will be carried through by a Will which is higher than the volition of the humanly spiritual kind

So that all this may work in a saving manner, that is, in a certain degree of the Loving-Kindness of God, it needs at the same time to be contained for mankind in a form which will be graspable through the setting of thought

Therefore there is now so much that is new, woven in with a care proper only to the Light, and in such ways that a bridging is formed for the comprehension of those men who are at least in part open to it

Although it is not yet visible today, it is already working now and contains literally whole miraculous worlds which draw near to men, so that they may gradually open themselves to them in an inward release from all the dogmas of thought hitherto

It is a precious time of great transformations, contained in the words and new concepts which, like seeds, appear also upon the pages of the Way of the Grail

The seeds contain a worldwide prospect of a new existence upon earth

And just as seeds, when laid into the soil, need first to put forth shoots and rootlets in order to unite with the surrounding density, so, wrapped in strengthening, do the seeds of the spiritual knowledge of the Truth work in the texts published on the Way of the Grail

It is a glorious fulfilment, which in its partial measure now brings an advance for the development of the happening upon this earth

It is not yet sufficiently visible, but in the coming time, in union with the Word of Truth, it will come to a degree which will bring the first greater breakthrough in the world of thought as the appearing of new prospects for mankind

In reality it has already been working for some time, and those who are more receptive can already today draw from it that strengthening power for themselves and for other men

For several years already there has been working the swinging of an entirely new approach to the understanding of the work In the Light of Truth

It is a swinging which bears within it, together with that needed strengthening, an ever greater measure of enthusiasm for the building up and the creating of a new living upon earth

Gradually, by the inflow of this new understanding of the work In the Light of Truth, there is washed away the past setting of the thought forms of those who were permitted to come to the Truth before, a setting still too narrow, in much rigid, and thereby unusable for the building up

This is not described here in order to designate anything of the past as wholly bad or perhaps as harmful to the Light, but it is brought here to bring nearer the recognition and understanding of the happenings which point to how the development willed by the Creator manifests itself

We are a part of this developmental period, in which the inflow of Light coming from the Ray of Parzival works as a strengthened stream opening the historic window of the universe to a great advance forward for every creature

Everywhere around every man there are many helps which bring him the opportunity for progress forward in all the directions of human spiritual maturity

It suffices only to reach out for these helps and to turn them to account in a genuine striving for change

But even those who still hesitate now can nevertheless observe it, for the events around us are beginning to set themselves into ever greater movement

Soon it will be a movement which even a few years ago was unthinkable, and yet it will be an inseparable part of the experiencing of the passing days

No one will any longer be able to doubt that the course of the everyday world now takes place in an entirely different kind of vibration from what was the case ten or twenty years ago

This is not due perhaps to technical progress or to new scientific findings, as some men still today try to explain it, but it is due to the movement of events which permeate from the working of the forces of Creation invisible to earthly eyes

These forces contain within them a clear result and goal which will in the end be carried through, for it is independent of the direction of mankind hitherto

Everyone can be an observer of this development, indeed he can be a direct participant in the transformations taking place which bear within them a great advance in the understanding of the Truth, which needs to be turned to account for life here on earth through human intuitive perception, thinking and conduct

Indeed it can be quite everyone who perceives it so for himself and is at the same time a direct participant in this age of enlightenment

He can join in it through his own strengthening, with which his own spirit is perhaps so saturated that he has matured for the gentle, strengthening imparting of the wisdom of the knowledge of the Truth to other men

The field of activity is wide, for it contains within it the knowledge of connections which as yet upon earth bear no comparison with anything else

The enlightenment is to bring to all who are open to letting strengthening, and with it a refreshing power, penetrate into their inner being together with the hope of a way out of distress, a knowledge of the work of Creation such as has never yet been seen upon earth, and which is contained in a uniquely singular manner precisely in the Grail Message

This knowledge needs subsequently to be transformed into a new spiritual manner of life of men upon earth

It needs to pulse through everything that man does

And in the case of the human spirit this is not possible otherwise than through gentle nobility of character, childlike joyfulness and at the same time through the wisdom of a high kind of understanding of life

In this lies now the urgent call from the Light to those who came to earth in order to help in the great work of the enlightenment of the human spirit

Everything is prepared

Now there is waiting only for the joining in of those men already awakened within and pledged to the Light

In them slumbers the beginning of the new age which is soon to come

Therefore the wall of thought is very soon to be pushed aside which still hinders the complete awakening and the recognition of the great spiritual task of those who came to earth in order to bring the world here, through themselves, nearer to the Harmony of the whole work of Creation
