THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – May 11, 2026

For many people it still remains a mystery why they were born and what meaning their life on this earth has, and also what will come when one day this life of theirs comes to an end

It remains an empty place in the mental disposition of the majority

And unfortunately only very few people are able in the course of their lives to find at least a part of the answers to the persisting questions

In the case that some people then believe they already have the questions about the spiritual world answered, it is often only a general intuitive sensing that something continues after death, or perhaps also that a person believes he will one day possibly return again in another incarnation to this earth

This knowledge also has several variations according to how the individual philosophies and doctrines of reincarnation treat of it

In reality such a thing is no knowledge whatever about one's own spiritual origin

They are only tiny fragments and particles in comparison with the complete knowledge which should long ago have been self-evident knowledge for the whole of mankind

The splinters and fragments are regarded by people as great knowledge of the Truth

Many individuals already consider these things something quite extraordinary and therefore think that they already know enough about the spiritual world

By speaking about it from time to time with people of the same kind they create for themselves the impression that they are further than the majority of mankind, and they reassure themselves that their inner being is far better acquainted with it than is the case with the others

It has, however, in no case become something that is a true possession of the inner being in experiencing, but it is only a mental attitude or an opinion

This is because they lack the complete knowledge of the Truth, which alone enlivens the inner being and awakens the spirit to movement

Their supposed knowledge is received only at the level of mental comprehension, but it has not carried over any further so as to unite with living intuitive perception

It is so, for otherwise everything spiritual would have become an inseparable part of their daily life

Necessarily therefore whole parts of the knowledge needed for the awareness of one's own spiritual nature are lacking

And many people have adopted for themselves as an excuse the idea that they will after all have time for these things when their earthly wandering has come to an end

For their own relief they have adopted the prospect which depicts that immediately after leaving the earthly body they will learn something more about themselves, about the world and also about God, and that most of their questions will as a matter of course be answered for them

They have set within themselves the idea that only then will there be the right space and time for them to occupy themselves with their own spiritual nature

At first glance it is reassuring, which is however only because this idea is often repeated among people and has thereby gained in strength to be believed

In reality, however, it may be compared with the deceiving of a child on the part of its parents, if these were to depict for it the picture that here on earth it need devote itself to nothing, that it need acquire no knowledge of this earthly life, since absolutely everything will be graciously provided to it automatically and without effort, including food, clothing and the full comfort of life with the delights and joys contained therein

Just as every more conscious person must smile at such an assurance given by parents to a child, or even consider it harmful, so likewise appears that assurance to those who believe in an afterlife, that the knowledge in all the serious questions about the meaning of existence will come to them quickly on the other shore, without their inner being having to exert for it its strength and will for searching and recognising through the highest experiencing of the soul

By many people there is also expected a kindly spiritual helper who within a short while in the beyond will perfectly explain everything to them

Over whole millennia, in the endeavour of people to deceive themselves, very many false expectations have already been called forth which have confused many a naively trusting person

Instead of a joyful ascent into the luminous planes the soul must then, not far from this universe, laboriously free itself from the threads of deceptive expectations, which quite needlessly delays it on the true path upwards

Instead of the fulfilment of expectations there comes a gradual awakening from the notions which the soul brought with it into the beyond

The Christian assurance about heaven and its blessings after death has likewise become a soothing opium for those who believed in the sacrifice of Christ and that they had thereby undoubtedly secured for themselves after their earthly death a life in Paradise

It is truly sad

And all this moreover applies only to those who really take an interest in such a thing

The majority of other people then remain entirely unfinished in the vitally important questions throughout their whole existence in the earthly world

Everything really important is pushed aside, and there is a great number of those who resist even a brief conversation about anything that lies beyond this earthly world

Therefore a great part of them also feel disquieted in apprehension whenever the talk turns to earthly death, which after all must inevitably come one day for everyone

Such a state testifies only to all manner of confused notions concerning the spiritual nature of man

In this we may perceive a great ignorance of everything spiritual

It is hard to admit that in man there will again occur the forgetting of everything past through which the soul has already gone before on its former paths

And because the earthly end does not at the same time mean the enlightenment of the soul, it holds true that the maturity which a man carries within himself in earthly life will continue in him afterwards at exactly that degree which dwells within him at the time of his departure from this earth

The degree of knowledge is not changed by the passing over into the finer planes

The passing over into another degree of experiencing in the finer worlds therefore brings no change in the value of the human inner being

The soul remains ever the same as it was in the earthly body

No miracle of sudden insight occurs, nor any bliss-bringing assumption into heaven, as is often expected

The only change lies in the fact that the earthly strong influence of the material intellect ceases to work

All the limitations of the brain which formed the greatest part of the earthboundness do indeed fall away, but afterwards there still remains in man the state of his inner maturity, such as he carried within himself during the time of his earthly life

To some people the release from the influence of the intellectuality of the brain can be of help, but it does not remake their soul to a greater awareness, nor to a higher nobility of character

As the soul is in the body, so it will also be after the passing over into the beyond

With a great part of them the knowledge about themselves will thus remain entirely weak, and the awakening at least to the original knowledge which the soul had before its incarnation will last for some time

What has impressed itself into the soul through what it made its own in earthly life, or also in its earlier existence, is carried further, for it is not so easy for the soul to shake off lightly on the other shore the habits it has acquired

And therefore all narrowness remains in man, if with the highest endeavour he did not already here on earth strive to free himself from it and to raise himself higher to a wider outlook

Baseness endures further and leads the soul exactly to those places where, according to the inexorable Laws of Creation, there is only everything homogeneous

The soul does not suddenly become conscious and noble if it has previously made its own superficiality and coarseness, or even all manner of cunning against other people

The passing over to the other shore changes the soul in nothing, but only brings out its true qualities

Not even the best help of the otherwise patient luminous helpers can do anything in the beyond for such a soul as carries within itself an unconscious narrowness or anything of the base kind of human qualities

At first glance this knowledge is crushing for those who have believed in the fanciful notions of redemption through Christ, or who foolishly expect the dissolution of their consciousness in the divine bliss of nirvana

Nothing of the kind can occur, for even in the beyond there are no other laws than those which are known here on earth also, and the human spirit can never enter into the divine, nor dissolve itself in the divine, without this meaning its extinction

All this testifies only to the insufficiency of people in the exertion of their strength in coming to know the work of Creation of which they are inhabitants

It bears witness to the lukewarmness of the soul

And to the soul there remains, according to law, its degree of consciousness such as it carried within itself before coming to the other shore

Without one's own living movement there is therefore no way forward either here or there

The knowledge of the Laws of Creation tells that already during the time on earth it is possible to begin to change all this, if there is in the inner being of man sufficient resolve, patience and will for it

Progress forward is bound up with the mobility of intuitive perceiving and with the most living experiencing of all the important knowledge about the work of Creation of God

Already this should lead the inner being of every man to the conscious ennobling of himself, for every step in the unfolding of his personality which is truly carried out by man in harmony with the Laws of Creation brings a gradual becoming luminous

Thereby a shift in one's own value also comes about, which manifests itself in pure thoughts and in inner and outer conduct in which a lived compassion may be found in balance with justice and objective consistency

There also always develops in man the ability to reflect more deeply into the connections

This will gradually bring the freeing from superficiality and also the ridding of all the habits of acting in a short-cut manner and thus irresponsibly

The resolve to mobility forward through one's own ennobling is the key to the beginning of real changes towards the opening of prospects upwards

Only through one's own active movement towards new prospects of the Truth can the knowledge of the wondrous work of Creation be widened

In this work upon oneself the CIRCLES OF THE PEACEFUL are precisely to help, which will soon begin to form as a part of the great spiritual enlightenment

Hitherto the will to support the human spirit in its widening of knowledge about the work of Creation has been lacking here

But in the near future this is to change, together with the coming to earth of the fulfilment of the promised spiritual enlightenment

This fulfilment of the great spiritual enlightenment is brought within it by the Ray of God in Parzival, who is to be found in close proximity above the material worlds

The radiation of the Ray of God in him suffices for the settling of all the human habits hitherto to the degree at which everything wrong will be forced away from the earth

This will bring an unprecedented pressure upon everyone, yet it is to be welcomed, for it leads to the awakening of one's own mobility within

In this all fears as to whether such a thing is possible are to fall away

The hitherto existing dullness of receptivity towards high spiritual values is to be overcome

The doubts about everything supra-earthly, which set themselves like barriers in the way of the awakening of many people, will be removed

From all sides it will press urgently upon man, so as to testify to the forgetting of the great knowledge of primeval times

The awakening of the seekers will come suddenly with unexpected great force, like a tidal wave after a great convulsion

That which for millennia was put off by many people will become for them the most sought-after treasure

In a trembling feverish longing there will blaze in many people the striving for knowledge about the meaning of their existence

Many will long to make good their debt in this, because all at once they will see before them their own backwardness in the most important values of humanity

The great awakening draws near

It will come because before long the hitherto ponderous walls of materialism, as we know them to this day, will collapse

A complete convulsion will take place in the world of thought, and that will awaken millions of hitherto sleeping souls

However hard it may be to believe at this present moment, it will come

The hands of the animistic weavers of the threads of human fate work at it day and night

And in this a change will take place, for the hitherto existing ways of people, which always proceed predominantly from a lack of trust in the victory of the good, will gradually change

The belief that the good pays for a man will become self-evident in all thinking and acting

In the human world the consciousness will gradually take root that a change for the better in the life of people is really possible

It will be something self-evident to recognise that this has from time immemorial been the path supported by the Light for all human striving in which there is good will

As trust in the good grows in many people, the whole existing direction in the development of mankind will turn round

Also those who today work among people as the proclaimers of bad endings in all the striving of their fellow men will turn their disposition round, and they too will support in the first place good prospects in everything that is directed towards the Light and towards God in the knowledge of the Laws of Creation

To the first place among people there will come again, after millennia, the trust in the victorious outcome of every honest striving towards the good

It must become an experienced happening already here on earth, for only that will bring strengthening and a shift in the awareness of the human inner being

And that will bring courage to many others who today doubt and waver in their thoughts about the meaningfulness of life in this world and about themselves

Every day will become a new opportunity consciously to take part in the shaping of beneficent thoughts for oneself and for others

The victory of the good will become the prevailing power in everything and for everyone

For this everything is now set in the threads which are tightening and bringing to the earth convulsions which must first bring the dissolution of all the mistaken notions and opinions of people

This will happen at the same time as, alongside it, the enthusiasm of people for the recognition of the true connections about the meaning of their life on this earth and in the whole work of Creation goes forward in its strengthening

That which for millennia lay beneath the stifling shroud of ignorance will become the most sought-after value

Everywhere the refreshing Truth will be demanded as the way out of distress there where petty human opinions have foundered

The hunger for the Truth will come as the natural consequence of the awareness of how parched and starved the human inner being is in that which is most precious, which should always have filled it completely, that is, in the knowledge about itself in relation to the outward space of the work of Creation

Like a new sun the knowledge about God Himself will rise over mankind as never before

The hitherto existing gulf between men and God, artificially created by the unconscious indolence and negligence of many on the one side and by malicious distorters on the other, will be removed

The taking refuge in the Fullness of God's Love will become the most inward state in man everywhere where he fervently seeks help and consolation in his questions about himself

There will come the understanding of the necessary independence in the recognition of oneself and of the whole work of Creation

All this will lead to a brisk movement in all matters of human intuitive perception and perceiving

The support of this movement will become the object of the daily mutual support of people among one another

In this the CIRCLES OF THE PEACEFUL are precisely to be the visible vanguard

It is an inseparable part of the fulfilment of the great spiritual enlightenment of mankind in the near future on earth

And that will also come to pass

Not far off is the time of pure exemplariness as a helping kind of mutual strengthening of people towards ascent

The time is coming when this will hold true:

Not struggle, but the mutual helping of one another

Not hostility, but the fervent will to mutual understanding

Not imposing and fettering, but support towards conscious independence

Not the principle of tempting human weaknesses, but the principle of strengthening every welling up of pure intuitive perception, so that the inner being grows strong and the self-assurance of those who through their simple existence strive towards the Light may only grow further

Such it will be when the time of spiritual enlightenment comes on earth
