Man is surrounded by a creative force of the animistic kind, which enables him to experience the wonder of being in the work of Creation

From all sides he is surrounded by this force, out of which, at the command from the heights of the Grail, arose absolutely everything that is contained in the Subsequent Creation, and thus also all that is to be found in this universe from its beginning to its end

That is something great, with which every human being ought to occupy himself in earnest

The force contained in the animistic creating bears within itself a part of the Divine radiation, which was mediated for Valhalla by a primordially created servant in the castle of the Grail, by Mercury, who is the leading administrator of all animistic working in the work of Creation

Everything, then, that surrounds each of us here on earth therefore bears within itself a small part of the radiation out of the Spirit of God – the Holy Spirit

Not in such a way that God Himself is contained in all things, as people sometimes hold in their conceptions, but in that the radiation out of His Will, a part of the living Light out of the Holy Spirit – Imanuel, is sunk into everything as the foundation for the building up and the development of all forms

Towards this knowledge people will still need to form a right path of thought, which is as yet lacking here

Until this understanding finds its right place in human thinking, we may say that all human dealing with matter takes place more or less wrongly, and thus in a certain sense harmfully as well, however much the efforts of many spring from a good wish

If, however, the basic approach itself rests upon a wrong level of understanding, then all else derived from it necessarily goes along wrong ways

The good volition in the approach of many does not suffice, for in the present time of a more advanced development of life on earth it is necessary for mankind to possess the needful knowledge of all the connections of the great arising and development of the universe

Yet as we may daily observe in the doings of men, the knowledge of the animistic forming of everything in the materialities is nowhere taken into account

The acceptance of this knowledge would have to turn everything completely round in men's approach to their daily activities

Thus one cannot but admit that mankind, even in this so grave time, still does not endeavour to reach the essence of all the fundamental creating of the animistic forces in the materialities

Even those who acknowledge the existence of God and of His worlds above the materialities know almost nothing of the animistic working

And so this volition, good in itself, does not suffice, for in it the necessary condition for a sound accord of human doings with the other parts of the work of Creation is constantly overlooked, an accord which rests in the conscious receiving of all that determines the direction, which lies in the inflow of the force coming from above through the animistic weaving

Yes, to this earth, as also to the whole gross material universe, there comes continually the development of happenings that determines the direction, through the weaving of the threads, which are filled with the power of the radiation of the High animistic servants in Valhalla

Through the failure to listen to these forces that determine the direction of the development, there arises between the doings of men and the rest of the development a rift, which in the reciprocal action always threatens to subordinate all human doings by pressure to the higher demand, that is, to the Great Harmony of the Will of God in Creation

And it is precisely this work that the animistic has in its charge, which in the necessary descending hierarchy of radiation penetrates all space in order to quicken it

In everything, therefore, that original Creative force is contained, which under the hands of the animistic shapes, in simplicity and directness, the links for the arising of forms and happenings that we may call fundamentally natural, or also the forms which shape this world

Whether these forms are living, or whether to the earthly eye they appear in their immobility to be lifeless, all bear within themselves that same basic force for the building up of the worlds, reflecting within themselves the words “Let there be Light”

And it is truly all of it, for wherever the eye of man may look around him, especially in nature, he must behold therein a distant reflection of the Great Harmony of God

Man finds himself permanently in the Work of God, he floats surrounded by it in every single moment, and he could behold the life pulsating in it, if only he wished to see it

Together with this he could then also draw refreshing forces out of everything around him, for through this awareness a wholly different view of the world about him would open to him

Everything would come alive for him and would become an almost fairy-tale flowing, each part linking to the next, as it rightly should always have been

Therefore man is to open himself to this understanding of all that is around him, so that he may pass through it as one who knows

He is also strikingly admonished to this by his guides and helpers, who constantly endeavour to bring him to it, that he may see it more and become aware of it in his intuitive perception as the discovery of a new level of understanding of the whole world about him

In the nearness of every human being there are the Aglami working to this end, who patiently and with great inventiveness strive for the awakening of the human spiritual spark to a greater awareness of the fact that the spirit, and earthman becoming conscious of himself in the material covering of the spirit, is first and foremost an inhabitant of the work of Creation, and only after that a temporary dweller upon earth, that is, a material creature composed of flesh and blood

In their service the Aglami are small mediators of experiencing, and in their living animistic working they are omnipresent, occasional admonishers towards a gradual understanding of the seemingly trifling happenings in the lives of men

Their work consists in this, that from time to time they succeed in bringing even the greatest materialists and the intellectually burdened to a halt, so that these must admit with astonishment that things happen to them too which have no logical gross material explanation, although they quite certainly happened to them and were directly experienced by them

Whoever has ever occupied himself with it even a little must sooner or later admit that he too is from time to time surrounded by an event or an experience which finds no support of explanation within this material plane of life

Alas, many do indeed pause over it and even shake their heads, but they too quickly forget that strange moment of experiencing something which came to pass although it was materially and logically inexplicable

Be it the temporary loss of some object which vanishes somewhere, only to reappear after a time in quite another place, or be it a concurrence of circumstances in some matter, when a broken material thing unexpectedly mends itself again, although nothing essential was done

Much else could still be adduced which has no earthly explanation, and yet it came to pass

Every person has many experiences of it behind him, if only he calls them back to mind

They are events almost striking in their nature, which take place as inseparable companions of human life, admonishing to reflection

In this the Aglami are masters at influencing smaller and greater vibrations of matter, in order continually to point out to earthmen that there is something more here than only the gross material world

People of earlier times knew of these helpers too, and were also able in a certain sense to work together with them, for they knew from experience how beneficial it is to have these animistic helpers permanently near to oneself

Among the ancient peoples the name Aglam was something honoured and esteemed

It was as though, through the uttering of this name, man were bound by something special with a higher force that could serve him beneficently

The uttering of the name Aglam was indeed also a formula for calling these helpers, as a confirmation that man knows of them and that he values their helping service and gives thanks for it

When people were bound in a certain openness with the working of the Aglami in their nearness, many things succeeded better for them than for others

Often it went as far as the degree of small miracles, which confirmed that such a person is bound with the higher forces of the work of Creation

Although the Aglami are the smallest of the smallest servants and have for their work only limited, partial possibilities, they can help people quite miraculously in all the small matters of the day

If something threatens to fall and be broken, it is after all caught in time, for watchfulness is near through the presence of one of the Aglami

Where water or fire threatens in the house, no harm comes after all, but everything is happily averted

What perhaps seemed lost for ever is suddenly found, because the near helper Aglam showed one of the people the way to it

Things otherwise heavy in their material weight become for a moment miraculously lighter, so that they may be shifted to where their place is to be

This, and many further happenings besides, are something real precisely through the nearness of the mentioned animistic helpers, who are appointed as companions of men

Often there is talk of a certain permeability of the otherwise rigid and gross materiality, which opens for a few moments and permits something that appears to the earthly intellect as excluded from comprehension

Owing to this something that was hidden away suddenly comes to light, or on the contrary another thing is lost for a time

To the places where joyfully working Aglami are permitted to be, beneficent thought-forms are drawn, while on the contrary hateful thoughts and curses wishing harm and evil are swiftly dispersed

Also the ground or the garden belonging to a house where a servant Aglam abides in accord with the people living there is full of blossoms and fruits, because the little Elves and Root-sprites or Gnomes are especially drawn by these animistic servants, who mediate to them the radiation of good issuing from the purely and joyfully living inhabitants of that place

But it goes much further still, into truly great happenings

Human neighbours, for instance, who bring only unrest and discord, are suddenly driven by something to move away, so that everything may in the end shift towards more joyful prospects

Or, on the contrary, conditions arise for a change of dwelling for the person who had long endured all this

All this, and much more besides, the small helpers of men, the Aglami, are able to guide and to mediate

But this holds good only with a truly lasting good attunement of the human spirit in the earthly body

Where this is lacking, there on the contrary many things visibly fail to prosper, and sometimes harm even arises, although the intellect strives after the highest degree of consistent safety and of an almost morbid material love of order

Although people may devote the highest attention to all matters of a high degree of order or carefulness, if no working Aglam is at their side, then everywhere all this purely human creating is cast into the surrounding world like a defenceless victim amid the wild working of the elements, which continually call forth happenings running counter to the intellectual striving of men

Intellectual people have long since observed this too, and therefore, on the basis of experience, they often build for all eventualities many-staged safeguards for their human works, especially of a technical kind, which they seek to protect through a consistently working intellect that replaces for them, for understandable reasons, the Aglami who do not help them

It is in just this way that all the technical measures of men arose everywhere where formerly the same was provided by the animistic servants, the Aglami, who however, unlike men, bring into everything, together with the protection, those fairy-tale living forces in which all may then swing as in a true blessing out of the Light

Herein lies a great difference from the human intellectual endeavour, which in every respect is cold and, in a certain sense of the word, also dead, compared with the living weaving of the animistic servants in Creation

Human measures arising out of the intellect are always inwardly dead, whereas the care and the guarding on the part of the Aglami are always a working alive in the highest degree

But people limited by the intellect do not see it and are proud of their deadened technical methods, because they imagine that they have thereby mastered matter and all the possible happenings slumbering within it

That, however, is not true at all, for where something is to arise as the consequence of the threads of fate, there it will arise even if, from the human standpoint, many-staged safeguards stand against the arising of baleful events, events which are then called technical defects, accompanied by the damage and the tragedies that often arise out of them

All this bears witness again and again to the great severance of the earthly world of men from the other kinds of working, among which the working of the animistic kind, to whose administration everything in the materialities belongs, has the greatest share

It is exactly the great host of servants called the Aglami who by an appointment of a higher kind were to care for the human spirit here on earth, so as to lead him, through smaller and greater experiences, to the understanding of the surrounding space of matter as a stage of God's work of Creation filled with life

From their work people could continually have learned to know Creation, and also to draw rightly for themselves in every place a knowledge which is again nothing other than an inflow of refreshing Light for the spirit

There remained here, however, only emptiness instead of co-operation, hostility instead of the accord willed by God between the humanly spiritual and the animistic working together in the materialities

Indeed, many are afraid of something of the kind, because their intellect whispers to them that they would deliver themselves up too far to something unforeseeable, standing beyond the reach of human influence, or rather beyond the dominion of the intellectual will

Thereby people create for themselves an inward hindrance to a fuller experiencing of the world around them, and so only here and there purer children are permitted in part to experience it rightly, as it ought to be

Children can see the world around them wholly quickened, telling its tale through outwardly seemingly lifeless objects or toys given them by grown-ups to play with

Not only in the childlike, naive vision of the world, as is generally supposed, does that richer perceiving of the surrounding world rest, richer than the intellect-impoverished perceiving of closed-up grown-ups, but through the inward naturalness and also the more brightly shining glow of the animistic covering in children the boundary between the inward and the outward gross material world falls away

In their openness everything lives and also tells stories of justice and injustice, of good and of what is far from good, of kindness and gentleness, and also of human coldness and of inward lifelessness in conduct that is far from the Light

It is not the objects nor the toys around the children that speak, but they are the voices of the Aglami, who in the fulfilment of their mission are near to the child's soul and lead it to see and to understand the world as a great story, which is always to tend higher and higher upwards to the Light, whither the inner being of pure children seeks to take refuge in a natural intuition of protection and safety

And so it ought to be not only with children, but also with grown-ups, who can of course give it a higher conscious power out of their spirit, and thereafter carry it over into their own world of shaping among men and of creating the gross material world

The Aglami are always ready around men to lead them to this

Many a one has surely also experienced that those invisible helps sometimes enabled him himself to catch a falling object unexpectedly quickly, or that a cook's work in the kitchen prospers strikingly when she is attuned in joyful thinking towards those for whom she cooks

And it is just the same when people tidy their homes or work about their dwellings, that all may shine in fair order and cleanliness

Not seldom these are inspirations and also helps from the Aglami, whether of the male or of the female kind, who are about the activity of men in all the places of their labour and also in the time of rest

Often it is exactly the promptings of the Aglami that lead a man to an unexpected watchfulness and attentiveness, which immediately afterwards proves foresighted in some sudden turn of events

The Aglami protect everyone who through his inward purity and joyful attunement makes it possible for help to be given him from their side

Their reward for it is the joy of the man who then marvels by what invisible ways this or that was suggested to him, so that he preserved some thing from breaking, or perhaps someone from a painful injury or even from a fatal event

All this falls within the administration of a man's threads on the part of the Aglami, who of course see in part beforehand all that the hands of the Alphar had previously woven as formed threads of fate, which are approaching the man to be lived out

If a man is inwardly attuned more purely and more joyfully, in good humour and in a certain fresh watchfulness, then thanks to the help of the Aglami something may be transposed out of a heavier karmic experiencing into a symbolic experiencing, in which the man then in part consciously experiences that he was preserved from something unexpectedly heavier

From time to time, inwardly moved by it, many a man feels a peculiar urge to give thanks to the invisible higher guidance for the help, without having any graspable explanation for it

And to these small helpers it is quite indifferent whether the person concerned sees behind it the activity of his spiritual guides or even of angels, or whether he simply calls it the higher providence of the universe, of the cosmos, and by many other conceptions of the influence of positive energies

None of this troubles them, because the fulfilment of the result is the turning of man upwards to something higher, supra-earthly

For the Aglami this is always a cause for merry joy, for it belongs exactly to their helping administration of the threads upon the developmental paths of men

For this very reason they are here and work continually around the human spirit incarnated in the gross material world

In their work there is much blessing, which people however neither see nor perceive, although it often happens that these small helpers protected them from something that would have caused them small or even great harm

Because people know nothing of it, they often have no inkling how much of a grave nature was permitted to be untangled around them in a single day, thereby releasing them from the grip of past threads

Only souls in the ethereal worlds, who are permitted to behold something of it, become aware how the path of man is continually accompanied by many helps, and this especially in that time which people in their limited perceiving on earth regard as a dull running of hours and days, when from their point of view seemingly nothing particular happens

How glad the soul then is that in just that time everything flowed on in a certain calm, for if all that returned in that time out of past threads for spiritual experiencing had really had to discharge itself in full force, life would not seldom have been literally turned inside out

That this does not come to pass is the work of many small helpers, the Aglami, who in that moment worked helpingly in the fulfilment of the Loving-Kindness of God, so that much could be untangled above a man merely through his own purer attunement in thoughts, or even only through a small expression of a helping kind of volition towards other people

This is exactly what the childlike vision of the world is permitted to perceive, when everything truly lives and works in a ceaseless flowing of happenings which lie just above the boundary of gross matter

If people were only a little more open in this, there would not be for them a single moment in the time of the day when they wait for something in boredom, or imagine that nothing particular is happening and that their life therefore appears empty and worthless beside those people whom the most varied events, more deeply sunk in gross matter, pursue

Whoever feels himself surrounded by peacefulness in the smallest moments of the day should give great thanks to all the helpers that it is so, for his inner power can thus attune itself the more to fair and creative forms alone, instead of having to face, in unexpected agitation, events which then fling him hither and thither until something is really lived out on this plane of earthly life as well

People should learn to give thanks to all the helpers working around them, because through their work they bring them the possibility of a greater evenness of flow, which people however in their lack of understanding often call dull days

How gladly would many give everything for something of the kind, if their own experiencing could be laid aside symbolically and they could return again out of the current that flings them wildly about into calmer waters

It is always only a sign of ignorance of the great helps of God's working in Loving-Kindness when people, although they hold in their hands the knowledge of the work of Creation, see nothing of what happens around them, and therefore find no reason to give thanks upwards that they are permitted to live a freer and thereby more peaceful manner of life

Although outwardly peacefulness and a gentle flowing of the days surround them, people do not know that above their heads in those moments waves of heavy returning threads often surge, and that only thanks to the deftness of the Aglami, who enable them to redeem something of it upon the subconscious inward plane through their volition for good, nothing of it falls upon their earthly path to strike them heavily and to crush them in that liberty and freedom which is still granted them

They should remember that although outwardly nothing happens, only a little further beyond the boundary of the gross material world a struggle goes on continually for all that finally falls upon the earthly plane of a man's path through life

Oh, how greatly people lack the understanding of that great gift of the Love of God, which lies in the possibility of a symbolic redeeming of past threads

The Aglami can often experience this through their nearness around men, when they are permitted to see how the spiritual inner being of a man protects him through his attunement towards the better from many a happening of reciprocal action, and that already in that same moment the hands of the Vaenen weave out of the man's attunement new threads, on the basis of which the Alphar then form that ordinary everydayness of the days, with which the man, alas, in the lukewarmness of his spirit, is dissatisfied as to how his life unfolds

Even though such a man is not in himself wicked and bad, and even wishes others nothing but good, indeed is ready to help where it is needed, he is nevertheless gripped by an intellectual attunement which leads him to the notion that beside others his life is too monotonous and thereby colourless and dull

Then the hands of the weavers must spin further threads, in their greyness, which does not permit a direct ascent to the Light, but out of which on the contrary there remains the ever-repeating cycle of the necessary returning to the earth

Now, however, this strange attunement of many earthmen will also come to an end, because for some time now the pressure of the Light through the nearness of the Ray of Parzival no longer leaves anyone long at rest

A period will come which will condition the further development for everyone in such a way that man will either be able with his inner being to draw the streaming out of the Light livingly into his life, or else all else will be strongly crippled in its kind of otherness from all that belongs to the work of Creation

Put simply, everything other than that which sounds in accord with the whole of the work of Creation will collapse

In this collapse there is also contained that so often mentioned liberating awakening of the human spirit, who through this collapse gains a great opportunity for inward progress, if he is prepared for it

Then he will also see how in fact he was surrounded the whole time by the Light and by the helps coming out of it, while with his spirit he slept soundly

Blessed are they who are permitted to experience it already today, and thereby to receive the Light of knowledge out of all the happenings that unfold around them
