Everything in Creation is a manifestation of radiated Light

The work of Creation is the transformed continuation of God's Light, graciously radiated beyond the boundary of the divine sphere for the bestowal of life upon the spiritual species, and as such it vibrates in lasting connection with the Will of God

This connection with the Will of God is brought about through the gate in the Castle of the Grail

Through the Grail the radiation of the Light advances onwards and forms the planes of the work of Creation

Radiation is therefore the essence of life for all beings to be found in the work of Creation

Every conscious and also every unconscious particle of life in the work of Creation likewise manifests itself through radiation

It makes no difference whether we call this radiation warmth, cold, movement, activity, working, or on the contrary immobility and rigidity, all of it is radiation which arises from the participation of the Laws that take a lasting part in the great flowing of the Life of the work of Creation

And just as it is with all forms of beings and creatures, so too with the human spirit radiation is the manifestation of his volition

Man is therefore no exception, but like all the other inhabitants of the work of Creation he manifests himself first of all through his own distinctive radiation

The volition of the inner being of the human spirit is always radiated out into the space of the work of Creation

The radiation which forms itself out of every slightest stirring of volition links the human spirit with the space of the work of Creation, and this through the fulfilment of the Laws of Creation

This linking through radiation holds for all the degrees of the coverings on the journeys through the Subsequent Creation

Through all the coverings by which the spiritual core of man is surrounded, the volition of the spark of the human spirit penetrates outwards in the form of radiation

The volition, or also the will of the spirit, passes as radiation through all the coverings, which it influences either in their accord or in their discord with the surrounding space of the individual planes, exactly according to the measure of purity and harmony of the volition

But the coverings themselves are likewise composed of radiation which is homogeneous with the surrounding space

Woven by the animistic servants, they enclose the fundamental spiritual inner being of man in order to make movement and development possible for the spirit in the various planes of the Subsequent Creation

These coverings are composed of the substance of the radiation of each degree of that plane from which they come

Although on the level of homogeneous perceiving they appear to be factual, perceptible and tangible, they are nevertheless still radiation

This holds also for the level of the gross material earthly world itself

Matter here too is in reality a kind of radiation, which however is perceived by the earthly senses of man as the material density of substances

This gross matter is therefore not a substance but a kind of radiation which, in a certain cooling, has become a denser precipitate

Although in its ponderousness the precipitate of radiation may appear very far removed from any human conception of radiation, from the standpoint of the work of Creation it always was radiation and remains so

Here too, therefore, the spirit of man is surrounded by radiation, towards which he himself radiates through his volition

Radiation calls forth movement, and thereby the forms change, which we call gross material happening

The volition radiated out by the will of the spirit reaches into the radiation of the density of the body and finally sets it into the movement of thoughts, which we call thinking, into the movement of sound, which we call speaking, or also into the movement and the whole expression of the body, that is the deed

All of this is the manifestation of the radiated volition of the spiritual inner being and of its coverings of the animistic and of the soul degree

There is therefore no difference whether the spiritual spark wears a covering of the animistic species, of the ethereal degree, or whether for a certain time it finds itself in an earthly body

It always holds that at all degrees of the various radiation of the coverings the most important thing is the radiation of the volition of the spiritual spark, which alone has the power to alter the path of the spirit's development towards maturity or towards perdition

The volition issuing from the depth of the spiritual inner being is the sole thing determining the further course of the path

That men know either nothing at all of this very important influence of radiation springing from their own inner being, or only confused fragments of knowledge, is the result of the severance and the straying of the thought-opinions of this earthly world of men from the other parts of the work of Creation, where radiation is always the fundamental manifestation in all happenings

Radiation in its living form is a glorious happening which, the higher it stands in the spheres of the work of Creation, the more immediately it shapes visible forms

The living radiation of the spirit is fulfilled automatically, and the more distinctly the more permeable those individual coverings are, or then the spiritual planes of life themselves

The finer the coverings, the easier is their permeability for the radiation of the spiritual volition, and the more living can be the outward forms which are the reflection of the inner being of man

If therefore the spirit strives for beautiful volition, then his appearance and his form in the finer planes also gain automatically in beauty and in nobility of character, as an outward reflection of his inner volition

So it is at all degrees of the finer coverings, only into the covering of gross matter itself, which through the fault of men has sunk lower than it stood originally at the beginning, does the radiation penetrate outwards into the outward forms only laboriously, belatedly, and often indeed it does not penetrate outwards into the outward forms of matter at all

The density of the outward gross material body weakens the penetrating inner volition and not seldom brings it to a halt at the finer degree of the soul body

But so it was not meant to be originally, nor was it so at the beginning of human existence on Earth

Here on Earth too everything was more living, more translucent and through its radiation more connected with the other planes of the work of Creation

The earthly body in particular once reflected the inner spiritual volition more and more strongly, and this not only in form but above all in health and in a sufficiency of energy manifesting itself in the harmonious outward radiation of man

But through the directing of human volition solely upon the coarsest degree of materiality this changed, the radiation of matter itself became more remote from the Light, and thereby everything necessarily became less permeable to the higher radiation

Today it is so that the inner being does not penetrate outwards, because with the lacking simplicity and childlikeness it lacks the power out of the spark to overcome the coverings as far as the outward manifestation in the earthly

But like everything in Creation, this unhappy state too can be changed for the better, and through the free, unhindered inner movement of the spirit's volition the way can gradually be opened for a more living and more translucent radiation to penetrate into all the coverings, including the earthly body itself

Joyful are those men who in part achieve this even today and out of whom a pure and joyful volition shines through all the parts of their coverings

Their earthly body is more permeable to the Light, and thereby there can be added to them what to other men remains, alas, withheld

In its original endowment from the animistic preparers the earthly body carries the disposition to grow ever luminous in its harmonious outward radiation while it follows the spiritual development towards the Light

This becoming luminous always shows itself in a harmonious brightening of every line and movement of the face and in the lightness and grace of the movements, but above all the pure radiation of the spirit shows itself in a childlike lustre in the eyes

All of this is easily perceptible, and it is only a matter of occupying oneself with such a thing

The radiance of the eyes, the mildness, brightness and fullness of peace in the features of the face, the grace and lightness of the body's movements, all this holds of course with regard to the age and the karmic limitations of the given person

The most distinct radiation of the spirit through the body can however always be found with certainty in the childlike radiance of the eyes

Where this is lacking, there the spirit sleeps or is oppressed by the radiation of the intellect

With a little receptivity it is possible to make these signs of spiritual awakening in a person one's own

Yes, radiation can truly be perceptible here on Earth too, for it is only something forgotten

Forgotten because the capacity to express intuitive perception has been weakened, the capacity which is able to catch all of this, since by its species it comes out of the human spiritual spark

It is therefore only a question of penetrating to the inner being within oneself and of striving for the purest possible receptivity to all kinds of radiation, so that this capacity for the clear and sure recognition of the radiation of all things, creatures and happenings may return to man

At the very beginning of this path of return to the quickening of the capacity of perceiving stands above all one's own liveliness of radiation, which opens the ability to catch the higher kinds of radiation

We may say that the quickening of this perceiving of radiation in life is the most precious equipment for all right decision in the relations with other people

The recognition of the fine manifestations that unfold in the radiation which issues from a person's motives under the most varied circumstances of life is the foundation for advancing rightly through life

Not seldom the sparing of oneself many difficulties depends upon it

Intuitive perception is the foundation of all knowing, and it is only needful to approach it with a simple inner perceiving of the childlike kind of purity

Let us but observe the happenings as they run their course

Whenever the spiritual inner being truly longs for something, for instance whenever there dwells in the spirit a pure and fervent longing for lofty ideals, then this longing is at once also a radiation working out into the space of the work of Creation

It is an automatic happening, and the spiritual inner being commands this kind of working completely, much as is the case with the breathing of the earthly body

It is not possible for the spirit to will something, or on the contrary not to will it, without its manifesting itself at once as radiation

The radiation works simultaneously in two directions

In the first direction it issues outwards from the inner being, yet at the same time this outward-issuing radiation of the spirit works at once as a magnet attracting homogeneous radiation out of the outer space of the work of Creation

The spirit radiates outwards from within through his volition and thus attracts the outer radiation which is closely homogeneous with that which issues outwards from the inner being as manifested spiritual longing

The happening of radiating and the magnetic attracting run their course simultaneously, for the Laws working in the work of Creation act at once without delay

We may say that many happenings continually interweave here, through the way in which men work upon one another or upon the other creatures and beings, whether through the volition of the inner being, in thoughts or in deeds

The finer influences too, out of the planes of the ethereal, of the animistic, or indeed out of the spiritual working of the other inhabitants of the work of Creation, stream according to the Law of Homogeneity towards man, either for his help or for his weakening, according to how the rudder of the volition of man's inner being is set

For the development of the spirit and for his path the decisive thing is his volition, which lies fully within his command

Just as a lever in the hand can be moved in the one or the other direction, so it is with the spiritual volition, which can be turned the one way or the other

The two basic directions are either the direction towards the ideal, towards the Light, towards the good, or the direction which moves away from the ideal and leads away from the Light into the darkness, that is towards the evil

It goes without saying that each of these directions calls forth different consequences in the kind of radiation attracted out of the outer space

The longing for the pure and the luminous attracts harmonious radiation that furthers the creative, but volition of an ill kind, or of evil, attracts discord, dissension and destruction

The lever lies permanently in the hands of the spirit's volition

Whereby it is good to know that fundamentally the spirit is moved by the will towards good, which enables him to come to his first self-consciousness and to the initial development that lies in the awakening of the spiritual spark

The human spirit is thus from the beginning inwardly set towards good and harmonious volition, which unfolds out of the longing to prove himself in the work of Creation according to the inspirations and the exemplary ideals that influence the spiritual spark at the very beginning of its conscious existence

It is in reality in no way difficult to receive that radiation appointed by the Will of God for the furtherance of all pure life in Creation

Actually every creature already carries within itself as a foundation the capacity to receive the radiation coming to it out of the heights of the Light as a gracious bestowal of power for life

For indeed the natural world of the animistic shows, everywhere where it remains in connection with the pure radiation out of Valhalla, how simple it is to draw the needed radiation for the full worth of its life

It may be said that only men have made this receiving of the helping radiation difficult for themselves, indeed have almost closed it off for their joyful working, and this precisely in this life here on Earth

The human spirit must always radiate something through his volition, and this radiation, in proportion to its pure luminosity, draws back radiation out of the luminous spiritual planes

This radiation has the capacity to pass through all the coverings and to work for them as a refreshing stream

The covering of the earthly body itself too, however dense and impermeable its radiation may appear at first glance, is in its foundation open to the influxes of radiation out of the luminous heights

When the exalted servant of Valhalla, Hermetes, entrusted his helpers with the forming of the basic building particles of gross matter, permeability to radiation of a higher kind was left in their ordering for ever

Therefore the higher radiation of the finer streams can always pass through the human gross material body without this being felt by the nerves or by any other of man's senses

These streams of radiation pass between the smallest building particles of matter which we know as atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons, and indeed also the still finer intermediate degrees bound to gross matter, that is the astral building archetypes such as the quark and pre-quark particles

Through all these particles, which themselves are again nothing but radiation woven and skilfully joined together by the helpers of Hermetes, higher kinds of radiation stream without great hindrance, radiation which can be of benefit to them if the will of the human spirit is open to it

The higher radiation of ethereal, of animistic, but also of purely spiritual origin can stream through the smallest building particles of gross matter, because through its fine difference of species it finds enough room for permeation between their field of force

And if the will of man's spiritual inner being is at the same time rightly set, then these streams can bring strengthening, healing and, in an unprecedented manner, a quickening together with a rejuvenation of the whole organism which is formed by the covering of the radiation of gross matter

All this the servant Hermetes wisely arranged in the fulfilling of the task of forming the gross material universe, which was assigned to him by the great and faithful animistic servant of God the Father, O-dio-nar, who is the ruler of all animistic creating and weaving in the halls of Valhalla

Thus in the human body there is still very much room in every radiating particle of the atom for the flowing of finer radiation

In the end this radiation also influences the condition of the outward body

Men should attend to this with the greatest conscious earnestness

For if a person's volition is set upon commonplace and predominantly low aims and wishes, then under the Law of Attraction only low ethereal streams flow between these radiating particles of the atoms, streams which take away the particles' own energy instead of quickening and strengthening them

But if there burns in a person a volition of a more joyful and guilelessly purer kind, then, even though the volition is predominantly directed towards material aims, a little radiation out of the animistic planes above matter may come for the quickening of the body

Of such people it is then said that they have an almost unheard-of zest for life, and they become a cause of wonder to others as to where so much vital force in them comes from

The essence lies in the setting of their inner radiation and volition, which is still able in part to vibrate in a certain joy, courage and enthusiasm for more meaningful work in the material world

For the most part this work is of a manual kind, and not seldom it is raised by the will of such people into an art

Especially with the old masters of the most varied crafts we can perceive that their work was carried out with zest and with enthusiasm for the beauty of the result

If then the spirit is able, above this his enthusiastic union with creative zest, to awaken within himself the volition towards a high aim of the spiritual kind, and if he holds to this direction under all the circumstances of life, then radiation of the spiritual kind can gradually descend to him and permeate his whole being at all the degrees of his coverings

In the end the high spiritual radiation penetrates into the gross material body itself, where precisely through the most receptive bodily organ, which is the blood, it passes through all the atoms of which the individual cells and thereby also the organs of the body are composed

Let us recall again that the radiation is so fine and so living that it passes with ease through all the parts of the coverings including the earthly body, if only it is drawn by the pure volition of a person striving for a life of nobility and for a virtuous attunement of his wishes, in which he pursues ever more strongly the fulfilment of the Will of God, without his himself having to feel anything special thereby

If there is in him no receptivity for the finer coverings, then this happening is fulfilled without the manifestation of any special sensation

Let us add here at the same time that this receptivity can be gradually awakened and, like everything, can be developed to the full degree of a distinct participation in the happenings within one's own body, or even also in the bodies of other people

In the time to come there will be very many such people, so that with their perceiving they may help towards a greater openness in those who would otherwise be threatened that their body, under the pressure of experiencing the most varied influences, of which there may be thousands in a lifetime, would close itself for a long time to the flowing of this radiation and thereby bring upon itself a danger to its bodily health

As was mentioned, the spiritual radiation, which is quickened each year anew by the fresh influx of the Power out of the Holy Spirit in the Grail, brings refreshment and rejuvenation into the radiation of the gross material covering of the body

If then all the grave karmic threads have already been laid aside in the life of such a person, there appears a phenomenon which brings lasting health, renewing itself ever anew together with the influx of forces out of the spiritual planes of the work of Creation after the filling of the Grail with the Power of the Holy Spirit

The bodily covering may then remain continually rejuvenated and filled with a power and energy which overcomes all that sets itself up out of the outer world as possible obstacles formed from the radiation of the commonplace or perhaps even low thoughts of the volition of other people

The spirit then, just as the body, remains freed from all of that

Radiation of an ugly kind slides off his own strong radiance of purity and finds no possibility of taking hold

Evil itself must remain far removed from the translucent radiating power which rises into space out of the fervent spiritual volition of such a person

The homogeneity of the luminous kind flowing towards his being then brings ever only new power and a healing irradiation of all the coverings including the earthly body

And all of this is possible only in the fulfilment of the very simplest understanding of the working of that lever of volition, and if this is permanently set towards a pure and lofty aim, then nothing else at all is needed than to walk forward in trust, in the most living manner of life, in an ever more conscious knowing of the glory of God's work of Creation

Everything therefore always lies in the hands of man, more precisely in the hands of his spiritual inner being, which alone determines the whole development of the events on his path through the Subsequent Creation

Men should grasp that much of what happens to them comes solely and only from themselves

Where they interweave with other people, there was given to them the knowledge of the Beatitudes of Jesus, which are to raise them above the bitterness of the earthly world and to fill their hearts with the ability to forgive

Only in the knowledge and the understanding of these great connections, which always and only have their beginning in radiation, lies the knowing that contains all that is needed for reaching the firm steps upon which their own ascent of the spirit and also the healing of the body can begin

In the influxes of the luminous Power into the work of Creation, pouring in with regular pulses like the blood in the heart, everyone who recognises the glorious strengthening refreshment and the life-giving quality contained therein may then use these influxes to fill his spirit and all his coverings, the bodily one included, with new power for the next part of his path towards the spiritual heights

Whoever makes this his own and is able therein to experience the fervent thanks of his inner being, transformed into deeds of goodness and harmony for all the other creatures in Creation, already walks in the direction of the heights, and his path will bear him automatically, as on mighty wings, only upwards

Step by step he will also find all that is needed for him to become himself a support for all that is still weaker and less sure, which again will bring him only the lawful influx of blessed power

Blessed are those men who hold the knowing of the work of Creation and of the Creator alive within their inner being and ready for lasting radiation in all directions

Such people are especially needed today, for the long-persisting sickliness and disharmony on this Earth calls for radiation which will at last bring a little healing and strengthening among men
