THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – January 1, 2025

The year that is now beginning bears within itself the start of a great culmination of many events

The threads of fate stretching out of ages long since forgotten, guided by the hands of the Alphar, now emerge unexpectedly before mankind, in order to be pressed upon it for acceptance

Men have many threads before them, which urgently demand to be lived through and lived out

Now it will surge towards everyone with unprecedented speed, either to release him wholly from the threads of his past, or to leave him surrounded within an experiencing that will seem heavy to him and will last for him as though it were never to have an end

The direction of his path, and where his own life will lead, lies solely and only in each man's own hands

The free will of the human spirit now demands of everyone that with the utmost earnestness he find the true meaning of the concept of responsibility

The responsibility of a mature spiritual perceiving is what must now be brought into the living present of the day

Over every man there hovers the earnest urgency of an awakening of inner vigilance, which is bound up with the possibility of deciding

But the greatest part of mankind heeds this not and goes its own mistaken ways

Therefore the earthly world will become for a certain time a great mill of unheard-of events

Although many already sense that something grave is coming, the effort still prevails to push it aside and to create for themselves and for others the deceptive picture that everything is in order and that nothing is happening

This deceptive picture, upheld with the greatest exertion by all who share in its shaping, will nevertheless collapse

It will collapse upon those men who day after day again and again falsify for other men the notion of the splendour of today's world

It will be a grave period of experiencing for those who do so, for in it one can see the plain purpose of their material intellect to postpone a fall that is strikingly like the collapse of the well-known Tower of Babel

With a thundering crash it will fall nevertheless, in order to end the wretched history of an unworthy manner of life of the developing human spirits on earth

That form of life, unworthy of the human spiritual species, has already dragged on for millennia in its distortion, whose original, all-poisoning root is the principle of temptation joined with the overgrown intellect

Both were given to immature souls by the archangel Lucifer, who thus failed so grievously in his original glorious task as bearer of the light of knowledge

It will bring a harsh awakening to all who never truly concerned themselves with the meaning of their life and only let themselves be carried along by the current of superficiality, in which they sought material advantages for themselves and for those close to them

All these will be awakened by the happening that draws near through the returning threads of the Alphar

But alongside all this experiencing, which, driven by the threads of the past, now comes to earth in order to redistribute the world into a new form, spiritual enlightenment will at the same time spread as a saving hope for all those who long to change inwardly and outwardly for the new age

Spiritual enlightenment brings the only possible way out of the present distress, which yet has countless forms, for exactly according to the Law of Homogeneity it quickens precisely that which works most strongly upon each particular man in the effect of the Law of Reciprocal Action

And it holds true that with each individual man there goes a unique composition of the threads of fate, such as is repeated in no other human being

Many motives and failings fly out of the past towards man, so that he may now recognise them in quickened measure and lay them aside in the active work of the spirit

But at the same time all the good that a human spirit ever showed with genuine ardour towards his fellow men, and thereby made it possible for the weavers, the Vaenen, to catch it into the threads of his own fate, returns in this time in heightened measure and partly balances out precisely that which is evil, so that it may take place only in a symbolic manner of atonement

That is a great promise

Help can be given in many things, provided that man does not in rigidity enter upon a path which even at the last moment threatens to turn everything in a wrong direction

Of these wrong directions there is a great number

Among them belongs, for example, the scientific materialism so widely invoked by men

The opposite of materialism is, on the other hand, religious dogmatism, or even the wholly unhealthy and destructive fanaticism arising from an earthly immature application of doctrines of faith

Although it does not appear so at first glance, it holds true that both, that is science and religious dogmatism alike, have the same origin in the narrowed comprehension of the intellect that men make use of

Furthermore, much confusion about the development of the planet Earth and about the life upon it is spread among men, and therefore many cling to the most varied currents of opinion and to the reflections of scholars, which however, compared with the Truth, are utterly void

Across all human endeavours there is thus present on earth today that very intellectuality which causes, and will yet cause, much hardship even to those men who otherwise strive towards the good

Intellectual striving for the good stands in the end against the great Harmony of Creation, because it refuses co-operation with everything that lies above gross matter itself, to which belongs, for instance, the whole working of the animistic species, without which the blessed result that is so often awaited cannot come, but on the contrary there sets in solely and only a fresh entanglement in the consequences of a limited intellectual understanding

This concerns all progressive efforts to improve the earthly world, such as the very endeavour to alter the weather, artificial interventions in the human body, the reshaping of the foundations of communal life, which in the end must necessarily bring only the complete disruption of human existence on earth

The pushing through of such intellectual endeavours proceeds from the notion that the attainment of good on earth is possible by ways devised by scientists and scholars with their materially one-sided understanding of the world

However good the endeavours may perhaps be at the outset, they nevertheless proceed from a scientific concentration upon matter, and therefore in the end they always lead only to desperate conclusions

These results we can see in the whole use of the chemical industry, in the application of synthetic materials, in the use of radio transmission and in much else besides

Although at first glance it may appear as a call to backwardness when the great error in men's use of the said discoveries of science is pointed out here, in the outcome we can always see the same result, which confirms the blind path of such a development – destructive interventions in the world of nature and in human life itself

The course science has taken hitherto leads necessarily to the suppression of every natural connection of men with the world of nature and thus with the animistic working

All this is precisely the result of human intellectuality, which tore itself away from the original wise knowledge of the Creator's Laws in the work of Creation

Deceiving itself that it strives for the good, intellectuality works only harm, which after a time always appears as the necessary harvest of a wrong sowing, in the form of catastrophes seizing human society

The excuses of the intellectualists, that there were no other possible ways if the material progress of mankind was to be maintained, are wholly barren, for none of those mentioned ever asked what ways in the development of mankind had been prepared by the animistic servants

And these ways were always here, only men passed them by throughout whole millennia, because to intellectual cleverness it always appeared far too childishly naive an endeavour

Co-operation with the animistic servants was banished to the realm of fairy tales

In reality there can be no greater indictment of human intellectuality than that very turning aside from the ways prepared by the Wisdom of God

The Wisdom of God is always first and foremost contained in the working of the animistic servants

Out of their working arose the universe and all the balance at work in the laws of nature

Beside this, the intellectuality of men, severed from everything higher, sooner or later always throws this balance out of true through its working

Thereby the use of the instrument of the brain hitherto, through an overgrown intellectuality, shows itself to be a supremely harmful direction

The results of intellectuality cannot be altered by making amends along the same ways of a material kind, but only by resolutely abandoning such conduct as a recognised old and wrong direction of human striving

Intellectuality is a long-accustomed manner of wrongly using the otherwise very important organ of the brain

In a long-continued endeavour men have accustomed themselves to use the capacities of their brain in a wrong manner, whereby everything more receptive to intuitive perception is suppressed by the force of asserting oneself materially in matter

Intellectuality has become the determining power for where the ways of man shall lead, instead of the original shaping of the ways, whose basic direction was always to be given solely by the intuitive perception, which alone is able to maintain a connection also with all the planes above gross materiality

He, therefore, who has made the intellectual manner his own, or has taken it over through upbringing and teaching, must now strain every power to quicken a completely new, intuitive manner of using the apparatus of the brain

The old manner of life can be laid aside only through that complete inner and outer rebirth which shows itself in everything a man does and in the way he lives

That is not easy, and it demands of the spirit the highest degree of volition, so that earthman may become anew an intuitively perceiving creature on earth

His intellect will stubbornly resist anything of the kind

Intellectuality is to be found in almost all human doings, and has thereby become imperceptible to the majority, for it has merged entirely with everything that belongs to the life of today

It has permeated everything and is found even in many ways of acting of men who strive for the good, as has already been mentioned above

It is like an animal that has adapted itself to the outward conditions in which it has settled

Aware of the constant danger that the vigilance of the spirit might perhaps recognise it, it moves in concealment and with cunning, with a skill that outwardly often appears as almost perfect human conduct

It is the adaptability of the intellect, arising from its capacity for discovering new paths of development

Yet it is only an instinctive dissembling, thanks to which the intellect in many men still keeps the upper hand in its life-struggle with the intuitively perceiving inner being

For most men in these days these two manners of thinking and acting strongly overlap, and therefore many are at a loss how to discern the difference between intellectual thinking and acting out of intuitive perception

They grope in this not only when discerning it in other men, but even in themselves

Many in this respect cannot find their way within themselves

Yet the intellect can be recognised quite simply

Whatever the intellectual man may do, his manner of reflection will in the long run lack that full, childlike-pure sincerity in wishing good to other men, and together with this sincerity the intellect will also always lack spontaneity, that is the capacity to act with joyful enthusiasm in the moment of the present

The intellectual man will bear himself as one knowledgeable in the most varied fields, he will appear wise as he uses his penetrating thinking, yet he will lack the kindling of a pure and spontaneous childlikeness in any seeking of help for his fellow men and for the world

Sincerity in wishing good to other men and the capacity for spontaneity is a distinction granted solely to the intuitive faculty of the spirit

Such a manner will always be practised by those men who have truly been reborn in their spirit

Against this, however, the intellect in the human head fights with every means it has made its own through millennia

Intellectuality will also be that which in the end shows itself in many a man as the greatest obstacle to his opening himself to spiritual enlightenment

Therefore, as a help in the coming happening, in all the approaching experiencing, there will come ever more visibly before the eyes of men the knowledge that above the intellect there is to stand the intuitive perception of the spirit, which among other things shows itself in forgiveness and in mercy towards one's fellow men

The spiritual intuitive perception shows itself in deeds which the intellect would never permit, and therefore it is precisely the intellectual disposition that always stifles the act which offers help to one's fellow men without setting conditions of recompense

The intuitive perception, however, resting upon the trust of the spirit in God and His Laws in Creation, can do such a thing with a childlike joy which it experiences in the very moment of such an act

It will be strikingly visible that wherever men set out upon the way of mercy and of forgiveness towards their fellow men, many helps will swiftly show themselves which otherwise will not be available to intellectual men

Over men who bear an ardent intuitive perception within them more helps will spread than over those who remain stuck in the old forms of learned intellectual conduct

All that is coming can be faced by man only in an attunement of a purely spiritual kind

Whoever cannot do this will remain behind

"Remain behind"

Two words which sound like an ordinary noise, one that for human opinion carries no serious import

For the development of the inner spiritual spark, however, the phrase "remain behind" means, in the consequences of the tension of the threads of fate, a complete turning aside from the direction in which men now urgently need to go

The threads woven out of an obstinate clinging to the old manner of the intellectual disposition will bring man consequences which will press him on to a further, necessarily repeated experiencing that will have to shake his inner being more strongly, so that the spirit may awaken further and rouse itself at last to rebirth

Herein lies the very threat that many men will turn in a wheel which will not let them step out of the old ways of thinking and acting

Their inward remaining behind will lead them to experiences which will push them back, and this being pushed back will bring only a still harder possibility of awakening and of making up for their delay

That is truly a great danger for many human spirits

Yet a way out is always at hand

It lies in a courageous freeing of oneself from all the baneful dispositions in thinking and acting held hitherto, and in the liberation of everything intuitive, which until now had to remain fettered under the relentless, harshly enslaving rule of the intellectual manner of life

The calendar year that is now beginning brings in its vibrations, under the nearness of the Ray of Parzival, many opportunities for the awakening and rebirth of men who until now, in their superficial disposition of life, let themselves be dragged along by those who before their eyes shaped the delusion of the building of the Tower of Babel

It is a year which, in the sum of the years since the earthly birth of the Son of Man on earth, bears within it a number vibrating in an intensified radiation of power

The Power of the Will of God is the force which now pours over from the Ray of Parzival into the threads of fate of individuals and of the whole of mankind

Therefore events will now go headlong forward, much as when the flood surges from opened sluice gates which until an appointed time held back the force of the waters

From the beginning of the new year it will rise, so that afterwards, in the flood tide of the Outpouring of the Power of the Holy Spirit, it may bring a great opportunity for the days of great transformation of those men who open themselves rightly at the time of the Festival of the Dove, which in reality is the dividing line between the past and the new time in the work of Creation

The first effects of the great changes will come, however, already in the time of the spring months

Therefore all men should bear within them a vigilant intuitive sensing for everything that will be brought into their lives by the weavers of the threads

They can stand firm in it as victors if they wholly quicken within themselves the gift of forgiveness and of mercy, and if everything they do for their fellow men they experience in their inner being as a celebration of God

In learning to experience everything through the praise of the greatness of the Holy God, hosts of helpers will be able to come to their aid, helpers who cannot otherwise help those who will not honour and praise the Almighty Creator

Only in this kind of attunement will the animistic also draw near to men again, for it makes not a single movement without wholly praising therein the Father of All

From the smallest servants, the Aglami, who work in close proximity to men, through the animistic servants labouring with the matter of the world of nature and of the universe, up to the highest servants of Valhalla, thus do all those act who by their origin in Subsequent Creation are joined through the primordially created Mercury with the Grail

In all their doing there lies one single song of praise to the great Giver of Life, the eternal God and Lord

And those human spirits who here on earth have attained a higher knowledge of the Truth about God and His work of Creation shall in the days, weeks and months to follow become still more knowing of the All-Wisdom of God

They shall live and work in such a way that in the calm, deep inner peace they practise men may recognise the strength of their spiritual conviction

Thereby help will yet be able to be given to many who in the coming events of the great happening of this beginning year will inwardly awaken and will long to be wholly reborn into a new manner of life

May the protection of God's blessing remain lastingly over all those who are already now permeated by spiritual enlightenment and are willing to help their fellow men
