The universe belonging to the great cycle of the world community of Ephesus has again moved forward in its development

As they turn, all the stars and planets which influence life on this Earth have also newly set their radiations

Through their radiations there stream to the Earth hitherto unknown kinds of happenings which are now to come among earthly mankind

Under the intensified pressure of the Light everything now develops in unconditional subjection to the iron Laws of Creation, which fulfil themselves through the weaving of the animistic servants

Obedient to the animistic forces which drive everything through interstellar space, man too stands upon the planet Earth, and with the turning over of the new year in the calendar he now senses deep within himself that he will be exposed to the intensified returning effects of his former thinking and acting, and that he will be given over to unprecedented happenings and forms which in the coming months will without doubt draw near to him

Gone is the time of his exuberantly blasphemous cries, when only in recent years he still challenged the fate of each newly counted year proudly and self-confidently, in the certainty that success depended solely upon his skill and cleverness

Past is that time when he supposed that the mastery of life was chiefly a matter of money and that the success of earthly life was secured by the strength and power of his possessions

The way in which the greater part of men have hitherto experienced earthly life will collapse

It will come at the moment when the world of men reaches the very limit of the exhaustion of all its own plans

Already now, in place of grand expectations, there is for most men only apprehension and uncertainty, with which they pass through the unfolding first hours of the new year

Dejection now grips the hearts of those who are even a little receptive to the higher happenings in Creation, if they ask what is now to come

And indeed, over the acting of men and their continuation upon the destructive path taken hitherto there has now spread the great vault of the refusal of all the inhabitants of Creation

It is for the first time in the whole duration of the Earth that even the kindliest luminous spiritual helpers, who in love have always only given, stand in silence and grant nothing further of their knowledge and their wise understanding to mankind here, and this precisely at the time when the greatest distress of mankind is beginning

Mankind upon Earth has been left alone upon its path and condemned by all the luminous life in the planes above the materialities

It finds itself at the very end of the road which it entered thousands of years ago under the influence of the fallen tempter

More and more men recognise that the outcome of this false part of the development will be harsh and painful

They also hear the demand which descends to them through the spheres

It is a demand reminding them that the time has come in which they themselves must now make a fundamental turn in their direction, or else they will perish

In place of giving from the Light, the time begins in which the Light makes demands of the human spirit

Rebirth or extinction, such is the call which draws near through the universe

And the very first days of the new year will confirm the gravity of this call

That visible beginning of the awakening of many is coming

First, however, the self-assured conceit in the abilities of intellectual men must crash down, so that thereafter the intuitive perception of those being awakened may speak up with the quiet reminder of the question, “What sense does all this have?”

Only with this question can the path open for a small number of men, the path which with ever stronger certainty will lead them to the recognition of the Truth about man, about Creation, about the creative Power, about God

Under the direct effect of the Ray of Parzival the animistic servants have woven for the year now unfolding the forms of a great part of the returning happening, which will strike with full force at the laws and rules set up by men, which are already wholly remote from true Justice and Love

At the behest of the Lord the Laws of Creation weave into the developing threads of all happenings the condensed compensation of the past

And it will go swiftly forward, for the Light brings into all the threads an unexpected intensification of the mightily quickening pressure

Resurrected will be all the hidden threads which have slept until now, awaiting the call of the Judge

In obedience to this call and in joyful weaving the High animistic servants also strain their powers, that in the happenings of nature too they may bring upon this Earth the visible proofs of who its true Lord and owner is

It will be shown that it is not man, for from the beginning only the place of a temporary guest was allotted to him, one to whom the Earth was lent for a time only, that he might prove pure abilities through which, in co-operation with the animistic servants, he was to cultivate and preserve the soil bestowed upon him

For the animistic servants man was at the beginning a welcome guest, but gradually he became a painfully endured tyrant

What the result is can be beheld by everyone who only wishes to see it

Lamentable is the state of the planet which in its distant beginning shone with virginally untouched brightness like a blue diamond in the universe, a diamond which was thereafter laid into the hands of the human-spiritual, that with its pure and honest striving in the service of God it might raise it up towards the spiritual worlds and cut it into a splendid work

The human spirit, however, failed utterly in its activity, and instead of an administrator obedient to the Light it became a plundering and destroying one

The greater part of its work upon Earth bears the confirmation of conceited wilfulness

Instead of receiving the gifts in fully trusting union with the animistic forces, he tore at everything that was brought into his path and appropriated it without the slightest hesitation, that it might serve him alone and his own intentions

Thereby he enslaved for his own ends all that the animistic beings had prepared for him in joyful giving and in trusting expectation, they who had fulfilled their task of forming in the materialities without a single wavering

As the opposite of this, the world of nature today cries out in despair to Valhalla that an end may at last be put to the state of pillaging and destroying everything which men should have received and used only with fervent thanks towards the animistic life and with a prayer of gratitude towards the Giver of that treasure, the Holy God

And the fulfilment of this desperate cry is coming

Now it rolls down upon mankind, and the threads of the returning fulfilments cross one another and deliver blow after blow in close succession

It will be like a mountain range plunging down, until at last everything merges into one whole unbroken stream of crushing happening

The Light works as a searing radiance, and it compels the spiritual in man to change towards the new in all that remains within the old conceptions of his own exceptional standing

At the same time the animistic activity guides the threads upon all the planes of happening, and thus everything will meet at last in a single point of intersection of events which will bear within them forms that were prepared long ago and waited only for the call

For some time yet the earthly limited thinking of men will regard this as a challenge to battle, in which it will seek to set the intellect, with its utmost polish and with the knowledge it has gained over thousands of years, against everything animistic

Intellectual men still refuse to admit to themselves what it is they stand against and what it is they seek to resist

Were they to acknowledge it even for a moment, they would swiftly abandon everything and, kneeling upon their knees, would beg their Creator and all His servants for forgiveness

But from this the host of those ruled by the intellect is still far removed, and so, in the belief that it will be victorious, it prepares for itself the heaviest part of its existence upon this Earth

We are already within sight of the great defeat of the intellect, which over thousands of years has shown itself to be the greatest enemy of intuitive receptivity, of wisdom and of the harmony which otherwise reigns in all the sections of the materialities, where the animistic beings are permitted to weave in predominant measure only the Will of God for the benefit of all life

This year which is beginning to unfold bears within it the strengthening for the assertion of the power of all animistic activity over the world of men

The beginning year vibrates in the number of Power, and this Power will also be fulfilled as the promised beginning of the preparations for the coming of the Will of God

And that Power of which we have spoken has already been laid with trust into the hands of the High animistic servants

Through the universe roll the columns of the animistic host which set out from Valhalla some time ago

Released and set loose is everything that is to bring mankind the experiencing in which the more wakeful and the purer ones will still be permitted, at the last moment, to awaken inwardly in their intuitive perception

The animistic herdsmen lead their herds of the unconscious animistic towards the Earth, and their radiations already touch almost every one of men

The touch of the unconscious animistic is the preliminary stage of the radiation which is connected with the necessary developmental transformation of the gross material covering of the body

Wherever the body is not able to endure, there the weakness of the gross material covering, leading to its end, will gradually become manifest

For this becoming manifest the radiation of the spirit is the fundamental driving impulse, because in it is reflected that sifting of what may remain and of what must now depart

It is only the beginning, which will continually intensify, until at last men, broken in resignation and in a certain helpless dullness, will await the call of their end

At that time the intellect's volition for defiance will no longer be found anywhere, because the pride wielded hitherto by the intellect will be struck down into the dust

To all this mankind will, in the course of this year which has begun to unfold, only just begin to draw near

As yet there will come only the first collisions and waverings

It will, however, be a decisive turning point, when among men there will for the first time be talk of a happening which in its power will stand above human intellectual abilities

The animistic stands ever more strongly above the will of man

And therefore this time holds a great promise for those who are prepared for change, that upon the approaching day of the Three Kings they may again provide the doors of their dwellings with the sign of the equilateral cross within the circle, joined with the new year's date

It is left to each one whether he bears within himself trust in the protecting power of the sign or not

The animistic weaving, however, will know exactly those motives which guide the hand of the man drawing the sign above his door

And where the inner and the outer stand in accord, there the protection of the sign will stand as a boundary impenetrable to all that belongs to the hardships of the judgment

Therefore it is a question of life to keep one's inner being open to the streaming Light

The Light grows stronger and bears within it the manifestation of the greatness and the might of the Creator, the Holy God

Wherever fervent pure volition possesses within itself an enduring strength free of doubt, there the passage of the animistic herdsmen will show itself as gentle and, in its outcome, strengthening

But where it is not possible for the Light to find purity within the inner being of man, there the host of the animistic will now break in, to shake the gross material anchorage of the spirit and to test the earthly body, whether it can still bear the demand of the strengthening radiation in the universe

Thus full accord is required in man's attunement, from the innermost longing of the spiritual spark for the Light to the outward acting in every moment of the present

In the radiation there must always be found nothing but accord among all the intermediate stages of the coverings of the human spirit

Where there is disunity among the individual stages of radiation, there the smooth flow of the enlivening between the individual coverings is at once interrupted, and this finally shows itself also as an outward ailing of the human body

Either as an ailing of the vital organs or as an ailing of the brain in its thinking

Therefore in everything there should reign complete agreement among the individual degrees of man's volition, so that the nobility of character and the joyfulness of the innermost spark may stream outwards through visible earthly manifestation

To ask for protection, and also to be protected, is possible only for him who with his spirit vibrates enduringly in consonance with the great harmony of the work of Creation, that is, in accord with the Laws of Creation, with the Will of God which works enduringly within them

Everything else stands outside the protection from the Light which is of such importance, because in its very nature it stands against the Light

Men should therefore wish that there be as much Light as possible in their vicinity, for only thus will they be able to pass through all that now stands immediately before them without being heavily struck by it

And this striking will come upon the greater part of mankind, which still appears to be deeply asleep in spirit

Where the spirit sleeps, there at once, from the natural nature of the matter, the intellectual way presses forward, for in this the intellect shows itself like water which floods the empty places not occupied by the spirit

Where the spirit is not, there the intellect is at once

An intellectual attunement means the nearness of collapse, because the volition of the intellect stands almost permanently in opposition to what the Will of God requires for the harmonious fulfilling of the inhabitants of Creation

The nearness of the Light should be welcome out of the simple longing of the spirit for its own preservation

The spirit needs the Light with all that is contained within this Light for it

Nobility of character, joy and purity

The spirit must of necessity take into itself the noble pure joy of existence, just as water and food are a necessity for the survival of the earthly body

What food and drink are for the body, that is for the spirit all that is contained within the Light

The spirit needs the living nourishment from the Light for its satisfying through the intuitive experiencing of nobility of character in consonance with the work of Creation

Thus let everyone who at this year's time of the Three Kings also longs to write upon the entrance door of his dwelling the sign of the cross joined with the new year's date be aware that only in consonance with an enduring pure attunement of the spiritual inner being of himself and of those close to him will this sign work for that place as a protection from the Light

A living connection with the Light needs to permeate his whole house, as it does his whole life, so that the Light can help him in distress and shield him in moments of danger

This is the hardest thing which mankind upon Earth now needs to attain, and which sadly for the greater part of it will not be attained, for it remains in the old way of life, which it also proves with its every volition, in every thought and in the acting that we can behold throughout the whole of society

But the Light is already here and demands entry with the influx of a new Power, unexpected by men, which has drawn near in the fulfilment of God's command

If this Power is not permitted to enter through man's voluntary opening of himself and his reception of its blessed strength by the spirit's own work, then it will break into the life of man and, like a tempest, will scatter all that exists and that resists it through the old attunement

This the new year brings with a new, intensified power which will enter into the life of men, to move them out of the paralysing rigidity in which the majority already find themselves

That this will mean unrest and discontent, strife and hatred wherever the darkness has taken hold within the inner being of men, is self-evident to every knowing, mature spirit

But so it must be, for the Light will no longer leave anything undisturbed

Hence that ominous foreboding of those who still carry within themselves far too much to be compensated from their past

Subconsciously they sense that it will soon come to the order of the day and that it will burn and have a bitter taste

In reality men do not fear the present so much as they dread the coming future, in the foreboding expectation of what it will bring them

Yet in reality the future now approaching brings nothing other than the strengthening of the Light

Thus it brings that which every purely living man should welcome with joy and with open arms

It should be a cause for looking forward to all that comes together with the strengthening of the luminous Power of God in this part of the universe

Every one of men also, if he considers himself honourable and honest, can only rejoice at what is coming

But so it is not

Why is it possible today to behold among men fear, uncertainty and also refusal or even defiance in the expectation of the coming happening

It is because the greater part of mankind does not want the conditions to change which have prevailed hitherto and still prevail in the polluted plane of the world of thought, in baseness, and also in the coarseness and ill-will of the twisted wishes of the many wretched ones whom the tempter has dragged down into the depths of the darkness

A great contradiction opens up in many men who on the one hand would wish earthly conditions to improve so as to be favourable towards them, yet do not want to contribute from themselves even a fragment of the work needed for their own rebirth

For this reason their call for the betterment of the world has no strength either, for it is weakened by their own impurity and thereby in truth by the refusal of the liberating Light

The Light sternly demands the complete and unconditional acceptance of purity upon all the planes of human existence

If with some this condition for the complete reception of the Light, with all its sternly demanding yet thereby solely healing enforcement of the Will of God, is not fulfilled, then none of these men will be able to expect that the Light will protect them and that it will work for the fulfilment of their conception of a better earthly world

Men should set the condition for themselves in the fervent call, “More Light!”

This call, however, is not to be a wish for the coming of liberation only there where men urgently desire it, for the strengthening of the Light must by law touch also that which they wish to keep within themselves undisturbed and unchanged

Now everything which this Light as the messenger of the Will of God brings within it needs to be received courageously and sincerely

The change is to be carried out unconditionally in the individual man, wherever the old obstructs the new

The call, “More Light,” is thus a joyful greeting of the influx of the streams of radiation which come driven towards the Earth by the Ray of Parzival

“More Light” is a command freely accepted for oneself and for one's own change for the better

The exclamation “More Light” is to become the mutual greeting of men striving for personal ennoblement and for the betterment of the whole of society

“More Light!” is the ideal for the new building which can be raised up through the mutual co-operation of men striving with equal purity

“More Light” will gradually penetrate as a joyful enthusiasm into all human doing upon this Earth

So it will be, because the whole of this year which is beginning to unfold bears within it the resonance of the universe, in which vibrates the activity of all the animistic servants calling loudly in every direction, “More Light!”

The year 2022 is the year in which “More Light” will come for all life upon Earth

It brings to all creatures the strength for joy and for liberation

Let there therefore sound in everything that man does, like a song of his inner being, a melody which repeats itself in every key

“More Light”

Let it sound in the spirit as a joyful welcoming of the promise and at the same time as a proud joining of oneself to the whole work of Creation

In the forming of thoughts and deeds it is to become the clear wellspring of the rebirth of pure humanity, and God's blessing will then dwell enduringly with men

Thus with this new year there comes to all, “MORE LIGHT!”
