THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – August 23, 2021

Many men upon earth suppose that this place in the universe is the central point of all happening and that all the angels and luminous inhabitants of the work of Creation gaze in anxiety towards this place with thoughts of the rescue of all men and of their wresting out of the clutches of the darkness

Many men even walk proudly upon this earth in the supposition that the Primordially Eternal God stoops down to them continually, and cares immediately for each individual man, who is immeasurably precious to Him, for he was after all created in the image of God and is thus the nearest whom God has in Creation

Foolish men, unhappy mankind

Yet the reality being experienced in the present days bears witness to the very opposite

Seen from the higher luminous planes there is today no more lonely place in Creation, where the spiritual inhabitants as a whole are left without protection from the Light, than is at just this time the gross material planet earth

This earthly world with the purely material interests of earthly mankind has become a place from which the Light of God has turned away its countenance

The Light had to withdraw because of the conduct of mankind, which for thousands of years manifests itself in ever the same disposition, in which almost with regularity in all grave moments it gave and gives in its decision the preference to the darkness instead of to the Light

In nine cases out of ten men choose the more comfortable path, which is earthly easier for them, yet which at the same time leads them immediately deeper into the twilight, in which the darkness strongly asserts itself

And for this reason there are here no longer any helping hands of the Light, which hitherto in kindly striving always drew near to the earth continually, in order to hold it, together with all the faithless men, in the patience and graciousness of the Will of God, so that mankind might not fall into the darkness, but that before its gaze there might still be maintained at least in part the vista upward, towards the Light

This time of gracious helping of men, however, has come to an end

It came to an end decades ago, when the Son of Man departed from the gross material body of this earth

This change fulfilled itself first immediately in all the spiritual worlds and then gradually penetrated also into the fine planes of the materialities of Subsequent Creation

Now it begins to fulfil itself also in the gross material plane

That the Light has now withdrawn from mankind does not, however, mean that the earth is wholly forsaken as regards all life

That is not so

It is only needful to recognise and to grasp it rightly

The Light is still present here

It may be said that today it is precisely the Light which surrounds the earth in unprecedented power

In the ray of this Light there work today hosts of helpers for the raising of all pure life upon this planet

The helping hand of the Light, however, is extended only there where the soil is made ready for it

Thus the battle which is taking place is directed only to the help of all that in its nature remains connected with the Light

That is all the animistic upon earth and a small part of the humanly spiritual

The help is directed in this direction

Thus we need to grasp that a most grave battle of the Light for this earth is being waged here, yet not for mankind as a whole, but primarily for the animistic Erda, upon whom the anchorage is to be maintained for the further continuation of the development of those human spirits who even now exert their powers so that, in the confusions of the climax of the intellectual collapse of mankind, they may cleave with all their inner vigilance to pure volition and action

Complete inner purity is for the human spirit the given condition that he may remain connected with the Light

For all men who thus strive the helps of the Light still remain here

But only for such

All the earthly offices in the churches and religious movements have no support in the Light

Only the highest endeavour of man to attain pure humanity opens the helping channels of the Light, which can then stream in helping grace to man

It is a simple condition, yet one which strictly divides individual men throughout the whole of mankind

An awakening in the inner being and a cleaving with one's whole volition to pure thinking and acting alone

This strict requirement is now the dividing line which leads the one in strengthening and help upward towards the Light and leaves the other forever alone, without a single gleam of the effective support of the Laws of Creation

Thus sharply and unyieldingly it goes through all lands and nations, it goes through all social strata, through families and also among friends of hitherto

Even there where today only two men are together, the one may be joyfully strengthened, and the other pressed to a desperate struggle for his very self

This dividing line stretches through the whole of mankind and renders it sorted out, whereby the one through their inner purity remain connected with the Light and its blessing will even be permitted to flow to them in an increased measure, while the others enter precisely into a gloomy time of lonely subsisting without the Light

For man, however, it is not possible to live for long without the Light

For no one

Without our being aware of it, we need on our path through life to have around us at every moment the unceasing helps from the Light, for without them, as human spirits who are only now developing, we have no power for our continuance

Let us consider that in the power of the Light there is contained for man both spiritual and animistic help, which he continually and of necessity needs

The human spirit without the Light is like a plant without water

His faculties indeed remain to him, but the influx of living power does not reach him in the needful measure

He must wither, until at last all his faculties perish through enfeeblement

How long man, as a living spiritual being, can endure in his being, that surely every earnestly reflecting reader of these lines can easily picture to himself

The examples we see after all everywhere around us in nature

In the spiritual origin of man it does not indeed happen as swiftly as with a plant, but it nevertheless advances continually forward

All that is hitherto living in the coverings of the spirit will, through the separation from the Light, gradually dry up and fall into decay

That is, unless man still recognises in time that he has remained wholly alone, that he finds himself without the influx of power from the Light, which has withdrawn far from him

Blessed is he who still recognises it in time

Such an awakened one then needs at once to strain all his remaining powers for the renewal of the connection with the Light which is already almost wholly lost

For him it will be a veritable struggle for life

A struggle for the life of his inner spiritual essence

And in this struggle each one must fight only for himself

It is not possible to transfer the inner spark of the spirit from one man to another as something which is transplanted from inner being to inner being

The individual man must glow with his own inner radiance

At the same time he can thus be an example which inspires the awakening of others, but the final decision always rests with man himself alone, with his own innermost longing for the Light

The fulfilment of these pictures in earthly happening is yet still to come, so that it may enter among mankind and sort it out clearly and visibly even materially

It will come by degrees, not everything at once

Yet it will surely come and will fulfil all the pronouncements of the clairvoyantly beholding prophets of ancient times, when their visions, graced by the Light, will be fulfilled to the last letter of their words

For many this coming happening will bring the condition of a complete stepping out of the hitherto lukewarm and superficial drifting through life

His wresting out of his sleep of hitherto will be for him the last act of grace which the Light grants him

He will then need to free himself as swiftly as possible from all the old which he has made his own, for only a short while will be given him for it, so that he may quicken his intuitive perceiving, which alone can help him to step out upon the new path of pure humanity

And this time is coming, to manifest itself in a marked manner already at the approaching Festival of the Pure Lily of this year

The Festival of Purity, which draws near in its fulfilment, will bring a quickening for the one part of men, and at the same time a lastingly visible separation from the Light for the other part

It will manifest itself on all the planes of materiality

All the powers of the High animistic servants are already directed towards this goal

The Light in its sorting effect draws nearer to the earth, in order to bring the separation of the living from the lifeless

All the blows against the darkness upon the earth and around the earth are directed by the warriors of Valhalla to this end

The animistic leads its forces to the fulfilment of the task which was given to it by the Lord

This task is one thing alone – to maintain the earth and the life upon it for all that which manifests itself in its striving as pure and healthy and which in this striving is supremely living

The animistic ones have now the task, under the new influx of the Light, of maintaining only pure life

Life, not unconditionally mankind in its unbroken spitefulness, as it makes this evident by its conduct with every day

This struggle is directed towards the fulfilment of the Judgment, in which everything is to be purified, so that there may again unfold that life which will bear within itself only the enduring promise of blossoming and of blessing

And indeed, first of all there is being liberated all the animistic weaving in nature, which in its faithfulness to the Light is today far more precious than mankind, which so many times over the thousands of years has proved that in its immaturity and intellectual capriciousness it would not heed the loving helps from the Light

Mankind proved this many times throughout the whole time of its being, and manifested its rejection of the Light with the greatest force precisely each time when the Divine entered directly upon this earth

Whenever the Divine entered upon this earth in a gross material bodily covering, there immediately the forces of the darkness working through mankind massed together, that all hostility might be directed against the Light, which was so alien to the twilight of human thinking

The greatness, the all-embracing nature and the straightforwardness of the Word of Truth of the envoys of God always irritated human intellectual thinking, which supposed itself to be the ruler upon earth

The crystal-clear Truth, containing knowledge which surpasses all the petty human reasoning, always provoked all those who supposed that they knew everything best

However gently, matter-of-factly and with a lovingly helping readiness for the strengthening of the weak human spirit the divine Light made flesh always worked, it always caused the seething and the hostility of the greater part of earthly men

Even in spite of this hostility the Light with its love strove to the last moment for the help of mankind, drowning in its own products of the intellect, which always made the path to the Light harder for the human spirit here upon earth

And always the hand extended by the Light was rejected by mankind

Every time stones were thrown at this kindly hand, which offered a simple way out of all the distress and misery of men, in the endeavour to drive it out of the earthly world as swiftly as possible

Thus mankind in its greatest part showed that under the existing conditions of its disposition it is not worthy of further helps, unless it itself is reborn in the strongest striving for rescue

This rebirth, however, it must accomplish out of itself in this most difficult hour of its earthly time

Therefore the animistic is now forbidden to help everywhere there where hitherto it still helped at least in part

With sharpness the rulers of the elements stand against mankind, made ready to let it taste the experiencing of the knowledge of who is here the real ruler and who only a tolerated guest

Gradually it will come, and therewith nowhere any more will kindly help from the animistic ones be extended for a way out for the human spirit

Only with those men who awaken in their inner being can the helping hand from the Light be extended for the rescue of the individual man

The inner Light become luminous in the spirit of man is the condition for the animistic, that only there can it prepare helps in rescue, as this is already being prepared for all the remaining animal and plant life

Mankind as a whole, however, though it does not suspect it, stands alone in the whole universe and in the work of Creation, left without help

The Ray of Parzival bears a clear command

The spiritual which is not reborn must now remain aside, so that as over-ripe and too darkened it may at last descend from this earth into the depths where it belongs, because all the helping forces of the Light must now withdraw from it

The time of the kindly patience of those helpers who hitherto were permitted to help and thus to give mankind the proof of the patience of the Love of God has come to an end

Men did not value it, and through this patience and kindliness of the helpers they held only themselves, without foundation, to be precious creatures whom, according to their imaginings, everything was to serve at the command of God

Yes, according to men who reason thus everything spoke after all of the beginning of the work of Creation, where man placed himself in the highest place immediately after God

This is taught in various variations in all religions

What pride and at the same time what folly is reflected therein is suspected by no one who reads it in the old books, and not even by those who expound it to others as a confirmation of the preciousness of man at the beginning of his entry into Creation

Yes, the spiritual life in Creation is immeasurably precious, glorious, and bears within itself the living gift of the spark, which in its purity is always a refreshment and an enrichment

The Light always cared for this spiritual life and with countless helps strove to strengthen and to fortify the developing spiritual germs in their ripening

For this purpose there also always prevailed around the earth a brisk helping movement of whole legions of luminous helpers

Hosts of helping spiritual and also animistic helpers worked around the earth for the helping of earthly man

In spite of the wavering and the unfaithfulness of men the Light was always here, so that even a single vibration of longing for a brighter, purer life might be caught up and supported

Luminous threads of helps continually stretched themselves through the spheres, in order to bring to the spirits upon earth hope and trust in the help of God

The spiritual was the first to which the precious forces of the Light were given in the struggle with Lucifer's satellites, who sought to lure weak souls into their nets

How many dramatic battles took place therein, earthly man cannot even picture to himself

All the works of earthly artists which seek to express in pictures or in words the struggle of the Light with the darkness for the human spirit cannot even in part capture the reality of the true battles which were taking place the whole time

The human spirit has an immeasurable value for the work of Creation

The condition of this preciousness, however, is the maintaining of himself in his childlikeness, his trust and in pure harmony with the whole of the work of Creation and with the Primordially Eternal Laws which pervade it

The humanly spiritual is from its beginning a tended child of Creation, over whom a multitude of tender hands of helpers from the Light always inclined

The human spirit is a glorious creature, and his paths through Subsequent Creation were always to be led in such a way that in every respect every spiritual spark might be preserved for its being, however much its development leads along stumbling and wavering byways

The conscious “I” of the human spiritual spark is to be preserved

Therefore everything needful was to be done so that the vista of continuance might be preserved for man under the working of the Loving-Kindness of God

Such was always the instruction to all helpers working above mankind

Now, however, the call resounds: The spiritual is to be tended, it is to be helped, yet not unconditionally

What that means, what is contained therein, man does not know and does not suspect

For the majority of men, however, in the echo of this call there comes loneliness

Mankind in its greatest part has now remained alone

It is without the help of the Light, which it so greatly needs for its further being

Yet this condition is only the fulfilment of the many experiences of the Light with men upon earth

Those men who now in their free will must remain alone without the help of the Light have proved more than a thousand times that they reject the Light, that they wish to escape from its reach and will do for that everything which lies in their power

There is therefore not a hair's breadth of injustice in it, if the condition of the withdrawing of the Light has come about for millions of men

They have no value for all that is spiritual, and for the animistic they are now marked as creatures for the hunt

Terribly does this picture ring out, which is however the reality as this shows itself in the Light

The fulfilment draws near along the threads of the Vaenen, when all that remains, which makes the human spirit a human spirit in his free will, in his faculties and gifts which he received for his development, is to be cast into the gearwheels which will remove everything, so that there may again remain only an unconscious spiritual particle, which in dissolution returns into the nebulae below Paradise, for the liberation from the deposits will make it again pure and clear in its unconsciousness

And the animistic is now made ready, in the influx of power at the Festival of the Pure Lily, to fulfil all that the Lord demands of it

Mankind as a whole has attained the state of loneliness in Creation

Only individuals can still swing themselves upward, in order to lay hold of the helps of the Light which are still held in readiness for them

You therefore who now know all that which is to come, awaken within yourself and let your inner being soar upward in the struggle for the Light

Everyone will need the refreshment by the Light

Otherwise he will lose all his powers entirely, will sink downward and will no longer be able to rouse himself to rebirth

Heed not all the insidious and wounding mockery of those who go to the certain ruin of their spirit

It is not in the least worth while to occupy oneself with that which today fills the mind of mankind

All this is already lost at this moment, it tends towards the separation and the loneliness of mankind in the work of Creation

In the highest Justice of God all the warnings will be fulfilled

And for those who are not lost there will then come, in the moment of their highest struggle, the help of the Radiant Truth, to raise them up and to give them nourishment for a new life
