In the Rays of the Radiant Star

THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – December 27, 2021

In remembrance of the ancient happening of the birth of the Son of God on earth there streams again through Creation a gracious flood of Light which brings to all life the nearness of the Love of God

One plane after another gradually absorbs into itself the luminous band of the radiance of God's blessing

The loving-kind radiance is borne by the angels as a greeting for all the inhabitants of the blessed work of Creation

And every inwardly pure creature receives this grace, in which there is contained the remembrance of the vibration which entered Creation together with that part of the Love of the Son of God separated from God the Father, which then, upon the distant earth sunk in darkness, received the name Jesus

In the drawing near of this power filled with Love a deep stirring is experienced by all who bear within themselves the ability to open themselves to the Light

Thus also always, when an influx from the Divine is near to this earth, all animistic life begins to stir in the joyful reception of this mighty splendour

This time likewise the band of the luminous stream bears within it a becoming luminous which draws near both to the animistic and to the spiritual in this part of the universe

Although this gracious happening repeats itself every year at the same time, in this year's vibrating there prevails a far greater likeness to that which the world experienced two thousand years ago, when the Light accompanied the Envoy of the Love of God on earth to his earthly birth

At that time a star blazing in the sky proclaimed the Son of God, and its rays stirred the inner beings of awakening men, so that at the right time they might be prepared for the reception of the Word of Truth which, made flesh, was coming into this world among earthly mankind

And just as then, so now also there appears in the far distances of the universe a star which already now brings a stirring to all who are able to perceive something of the higher happening

Yet on earth many human spirits still remain asleep, and the number of those who are awakening is still insignificant in proportion to the number of men to be found today upon the planet as a whole

The star in its announced gross material garment is not yet to be seen in the sky, yet from the point of view of the vast spheres of Creation it is already not far off, accompanying the Ray of Parzival upon its fulfilling path of the consummation, appointed by God, of one stage of mankind

Every further earthly year is a drawing nearer to the full impact of the rays of the Star, which is now driven by the wings of the angels, that it may come in the fulfilment of the great promises, when it is to appear for the announcing of the judgment of God

And this year there is here again a decisive year for the Festival of the Radiant Star

The effect of the Light has increased unprecedentedly by a great measure and calls forth among earthmen the manifestations of their insecurity, of confusion and of chaos, just as inward immaturity or even dark reprehensibility manifests itself exactly and lawfully in many straying human spirits

This pressure will go yet further, and precisely the approaching Festival of the Radiant Star will bring to mankind on earth further blows which will draw near to men in order to knock roughly upon their spiritual inner being

Under this living pressure the spiritual inner being will either suddenly awaken, or there will come about a short circuit in the ensuing thought-attunement of such a man who obstinately sleeps on

This happening will come, because under the power of the luminous rays there arises in everything human-spiritual an unprecedented tension which must finally manifest itself in gross material fashion, because thus it is appointed by the demand from the Light for the fulfilment of the Judgment of God

The spiritual spark in man shows itself as directly magnetically attractive for the multiplying power of the Light mentioned

The Light hastens to the spiritual spark out of the very nature of its kind, that of the helping Love of God, wishing to surround it and to permeate it like a rescuing wave

From all sides therefore it envelops the spark in order to make it glow through

The spiritual spark will either blaze up with a new joyful power for life, or on the contrary, in its closedness towards the Light, it will lose under its pressure all its own remaining mobility in intuitive perception

And this even when man in his day-consciousness knows nothing of it

Everything happens wholly self-actingly, following the Laws of Creation, which manifest themselves in it down to the smallest particle to the confirmation of the great wisdom of God, in which mankind, the living as well as the lifeless, is spiritually sifted

The pressure of the Light can manifest itself as a blessing in the case that the spirit opens itself and the power will be able to stream through it as a flow fulfilling the principle of giving and taking through childlike purity

That is, that the man whose spiritual inner being awakens becomes one who gives further through his kindness everywhere and under all circumstances

In the case, however, that the inner being remains closed, the Light will nevertheless penetrate into man and in his enduring immobility will call forth an excess pressure which immediately thereafter brings about ruin

Such ruin can have many shapes

Since the demand of the judgment shows itself above each single human spirit, it then holds good that it takes into account all the merits and all the weaknesses of men, such as we may find in their manifold oddities

The ruin will then manifest itself in direct proportion to the weaknesses, that is, to the failures of the virtues in man

Each has the cause of his spiritual slackening in something different, and therefore with each the development will also unfold exactly according to the conditions of his own endowments, down to the smallest shades

From the point of view of society as a whole, however, the difference among men will play no part, for the fundamental consequence for the majority of men who remain closed in their inner being to the streaming of the Light is that the Rays of the Radiant Star will cause a pressure upon the generally weak spot of the greatest part of men, and this is their intellect and their rankly overgrown world of thought

However varied the shapes it will take, the essence lies in the fact that sooner or later there will come about in the greatest part of men an intellectual short circuit

Thus mankind will gradually be stricken by a chaos of thought manifesting itself for the most part in a complete lack of objectivity and in an inability to see the cracks in the thought-constructions of ordinary reasoning

This will of course bring the necessary consequences in the ever more ailing course of everyday affairs

Bound up with fear, indeed even with terror, it will thus finally enter into the life of many men as the complete collapse of their existing life

Thereafter it will bring an avalanche of unforeseeable deeds which will lead to a still greater confusion in human society

Blessed are they who will remain standing peacefully in it, with the ability of a healthy objective consideration and above all with a strong inner trust in God's help in the highest distress

Here more than one reader of these lines surely calls out that it is surely already here, that he has been observing it for some time in his surroundings and in the whole of society

But all this is still only the first shoots of the failing of the intellect, which will become ever more evident to all the spiritually awakened

All homogeneously afflicted men will not behold anything unusual in it, because with them too the same phenomenon will manifest itself as with the other intellectual men

Ever more grotesque manifestations of the self-contradicting conduct of single men and of the whole of society will accompany the everyday course of things

It will be heightened to the point of unbearableness for all

In this lies also that promised confusion of all human tongues at the close of the announced end of the judgment of God

Although none of the men mentioned will any longer command any learned wisdom, nor even the most elementary clear mind in his decisions, the majority of intellectual men will nevertheless, up to a certain degree of the forms, regard it as a normal happening

For together with the heightening of the happenings there goes hand in hand a growth of dullness

A great shift of thought in the downward direction, like falling rocks, will drag down with it all the sleeping and the lukewarm

But in spite of all that has been mentioned, every man alive in spirit can only welcome the increasing pressure of the Light, for in spite of all the forms of desperate folly which show themselves and which are unworthy of human conduct, this pressure brings a way out and a dawning of hope in the hitherto gloom of the earthly existence of man

Precious is this time, which brings the possibility of a great turning and also of the full completing of the path of the spirit for its ascent towards the Light

It is a deliverance such as the human spirit can never rightly appreciate

We find ourselves in a supremely blessed time, when every endeavour of the spirit finds loving-kind support from the Light

It suffices for the human spirit only genuinely to will to strive for Good and for the Light

For every man striving towards the Light it suffices only to step forward with courage, and everything will come into his path as a thousand helping invisible hands

But even men of pure heart, who strive for higher values in their life, behold in the happening around them, through their excessive material preoccupation, only a confirmation of the ruin of the earthly world, and therefore many of them have not within themselves sufficient courage to step out resolutely towards a new life

Many men hesitate, and on the contrary there grows in them an apprehension before every further daybreak as to what this day will yet bring

Yet they have no sufficiently conscious inkling that behind all this there labour the arms of countless hosts which already now are creating the world of the coming age, where precisely that which we see in earthly fashion will no longer have any place for its application upon this earth

The pressure of the Light flies far ahead, and that which earthly sight beholds, on the basis of the inner attitudes of men, as the present it comprehends, that is, as reality, is in truth the past

Simultaneously with the present the future is already being woven by the Light, which contains for one man victory and for another collapse, exactly according to what their long-standing inner volition is

There is still all too much lacking in the reasoning of man of that ability to see forward, wherein inner brightness and purity, if these are found in man and in his conduct at the same time also by the Light according to the Laws of Creation, can and are to be in him the anchorage for the certainty of victory

Every single day brings countless opportunities for progress in the spiritual widening of the knowing of the lawful happenings in Creation

Thus all who make use of this upheaving time of all life on earth for the drawing of further inspirations and of new vistas upon the path towards the spiritual home may, under the helping pressure of the Light, unfold and make luminous their perceiving of the perfect course of the work of Creation

In spite of the difficulties in the outer earthly world, in this there lies for every inwardly living spirit a strengthening and an advance towards victory

However much the course of events in what is material must perhaps travel through baneful bends, the victory is nevertheless already here which was promised to all who work lastingly in concord with the Light

The condition in this, however, is not to let fear and apprehension into one's circle of thought

Fear at once brings a narrowing in the outlook of the spirit, just as do wrath, envy and hatred

Thereby there comes about literally a collapse of the outlook which perhaps only a moment before had maintained in man the consciousness of the certainty of the connection with the luminous heights

Where fear comes, whether for oneself or for one's dear ones, for possessions and for one's whole earthly existence, there the spiritual consciousness plunges at once down into the narrow circle of the material plane here

The darkness knows very well this weak spot of human wavering in mistrust towards the Light, or even merely in the trust in oneself, and thus in this present time of the fermentation of all forms it strives to call forth in the inner being of spiritually open men uncertainty and apprehension as to whether the victory of the Light will really come, because everything that happens around seemingly bears witness to the contrary

Therefore so greatly needed is that certainty of the victory of the Light abiding lastingly in the inner being of pure men

It is at the same time shaken and corroded by the darkness with the insidiousness so proper to all whisperers, until even with strong spirits it comes to a wavering between trust and mistrust as to whether the victory of the Light on earth will come or not

Precisely in this lies the hardest struggle of knowing men in the present time

That weakening by the darkness of men already spiritually open is conducted with the greatest insidiousness, so that that unconditional trust in the victory of the Light may be shaken through an all too earthly viewing of the happenings and of the forms

Yet precisely a livingly experienced trust in the victory of the Light is an inseparable condition for the confirmation of the real knowing of an awakened spirit, it is its armour and also the most precious power in the battle which is demanded of all knowing men

Thus again and again there is opened in the inner beings of many men a wound which should already have been closed by the power of a complete trust in the victory of the Light

Therefore away with this mistrust of the Light and of its ways, which are fulfilled through the animistic streams always, whenever men stand in a living connection with the Laws of Creation in their thinking and in their conduct

How indeed could the darkness conquer if in man there is a pure will for a life pleasing to God

Why it is so easily possible here on earth to shake in knowing men this trust in God's loving-kind greatness and wisdom, that is a question for all fulfilling servants in Creation

Every man must answer for himself

He needs also to deal with it within himself, for in this lies the question of his own battle for the Light

If he goes rightly into himself, he will then find that unrest and mistrust spring in him from the fact that he himself does not yet stand at all moments in the full connection with the Light as is needful

There may also be mirrored to him his own insufficient fulfilling, which in the depth of his inner being he intuitively perceives, but his outward comfort holds him back and leads him to languor there where he should long since have shown his Light-irradiated unambiguity in some deed or in some attitude towards life

Where, however, there abides in the inner being of a spiritually living man the ability of self-conquest in weaknesses and in wavering, there also there will never be a ground for a mirroring which is the expression of mistrust in the fulfilment of God's promise in this earthly world

The ignorance of the animistic weaving, of the labour and of the real power of the animistic servants, and thereby the lack of knowledge of their superiority over all human undertakings, is also often a ground for a wavering of the same kind as was the case with the Jewish people, who, led by Moses, began at the first opportunity always to hesitate in their trust in the mission of Moses from God

Today with many it is almost the same as it went on in the small, narrowly matter-directed way of thinking of the Jewish people in the time of Moses

And thus, when now again a strengthening comes through the possibility of participating in the Festival of the Radiant Star, which brings down to the earth floods of the Love of God, everyone needs to turn into his inner being and to illumine within himself all the recesses in which there abides hidden a mistrust of the victory of the Light on earth

Whoever lets his spirit, in an exultant opening, ascend upwards to meet the streams of the radiant Light which at the Festival of Love descend through the whole work of Creation does the most right thing for himself and also for this world of other men

Into his inner being, together with the Ray of the Love of God, there will be able to enter a peace such as he has not known until now

The peace of a blessed breath of the spiritual home will descend into the soul of everyone who at this year's Festival places himself wholly in the trust in God's leading of the worlds

It will become for him an important armour for the ensuing time on this earth, for the forms and happenings will, in the intensification of the pressure, lead all unanchored men to the state of a psychic derangement and to ill-considered deeds

Thereby with these men the immensely precious earthly body will also suffer great harm, which in its nervous and circulatory constitution cannot bear an excessive long-lasting strain

Men in their mistrust of the Light expose themselves to the danger of a total unsettling of their body, which will manifest itself only in further difficulties and ailments at a time when it is needful that the body of a spiritually awakened man should form a firm and sure daily support for the spirit in its ripening through concord with the great harmony of the work of Creation

And the embracing rays of Light working at the Festival of the Radiant Star bring healing power and recovery also for the material bodily vessels of men

In the Ray of the Loving-Kindness of God, which descends downwards through Creation, there is contained a portion of healing for everyone who opens himself to this wondrous kind of streaming

It is therefore the all-embracing nature of the helping radiation which descends in the Rays at the Festival of the Radiant Star hither to this earth and to all its inhabitants

This streaming draws near without men knowing of it, for it is brought down in stillness, and one can perceive only the delicate singing of the angels which accompanies the streams of Love and makes the spaces of the worlds resound

The condition for the connection with this streaming is a complete trust in the Light and in its victory in all the places of the work of Creation

Whoever therefore longs for a support and a strengthening of an unprecedentedly wondrous kind for his spirit and for its coverings right down to the plane of the earthly body, let him prepare himself in a silent trust which is to permeate him wholly, as an unshakable faith in God's help and victory

Only hours now separate this part of the universe from the fulfilment of the recurring happening of the Festival of the Radiant Star

For those who wish to fulfil their task of the sublime value of pure humanity here on earth there holds good: “Human spirit, now is the time that through thy reborn endeavour there may be more Light here”

More Light

More Light was and always will be the inseparable companion of Jesus' words

More Light offered to one's fellow men for the mutual helping of one another

More Light in the inner being, in thoughts, in deeds, that is the condition for everyone

Only with such an approach is it possible in silent stirring and in trust to await the coming of the Ray of the Love of God at the time of the Festival of the Radiant Star

Let therefore the spirit of man, festively made bright by a renewed will for Good and for the Light, kneel down and join his hands in prayer

Thus is he to be found at the festive hour by his Lord and Creator, the Holy God
