The work of Creation is the eternal home bestowed by God upon the human spirits

The Work blessed by the Loving-Kindness of God grants, through the Laws working within it, only support and strengthening to all life that strives for a pure swinging in its being

It is therefore strange that we find so very few men mature and wise enough to feel themselves under all circumstances content within the work of Creation, patient, and in joyful experiencing kindly towards its other inhabitants

Many are those who in their being find only grounds for angry irritation that some imagined invisible fate forces upon them a life other than the one they would wish

They hold their life to be bitter and unjust

And they blame for it the whole world that is around them

It matters not where such men find themselves, be it the ethereal region or this earthly gross materiality, their inner being is always brimming with the sourness of endless words of ingratitude and malice

They blame for it all the rest of the world and do not accept the fact that the state they experience is only the result of their own attunement

They do not suspect how they thereby set themselves against the All-Wisdom of God

A small shift upwards would suffice for them, and at once the picture would show itself of how at every moment they are surrounded by many helpers who hold them, so that they may not truly fall into the vortex of destruction from which there is no return

A destruction which is likewise neither retribution nor punishment, but the simple and necessary consequence of the Laws fulfilling the path of such a wrong development of a humanly spiritual germ in Creation

Were these men permitted for but a moment to behold how the Loving-Kindness of God continually showers upon them gifts which often step strikingly into their path, and which in their wrong attunement they alone pass by through their refusal and mistrust, or in malice even trample underfoot, then all within them would be shaken, and the voice of conscience imprisoned deep in their inner being would cry out in horror at the recognition of the delusion in which they had long lived

Their notions of a begrudging world, of how their happiness is destroyed, of unjust obstacles that keep all happiness far from them, would show themselves to be the lawful mirroring of their own selves

Among other things there would also be revealed to them the face of their soul, haggard and grey through the long lack of Light, without which every soul must lose the original beauty it bore in its youth, before it fell into that negligence and indolence with which it yielded to the principle of temptation and of evil

At the same time such a soul would see that every flicker of the volition for good at once heals and rejuvenates all those ugly wounds it had dealt to itself

It would see how its whole fate had lain continually in its own hands alone, and what it had made of it

It would recognise what an ungrateful creature it had been within the fairy-tale splendour of the work of Creation

In the first moment this would strike the soul down into the dust and would threaten to crush it utterly at the recognition of the boundless Justice of God, which fulfils itself continually in all things

Afterwards, however, if it bore within itself even a small portion of good will for a change towards the better, it would intuitively perceive how, together with a quickened pure courage, new power pours into it, strengthening it to ever further doing of all that unites it with the harmony of the work of Creation

Like the break of morning, ever more Light would gradually rise above the soul thus reawakening, so as to remain near it with its radiance for every further step forward

But in reality the Light had never withdrawn from the soul, rather the soul itself had formed the conditions under which it could not penetrate to it in its strengthening and refreshing influx of forces

And precisely here we find the immediate effects of the Aether, which works with wholly wondrous effects for all that is spiritual in Subsequent Creation

The Aether formed by the animistic world bears within itself the essence of the creative Power of God, fashioned for the planes of Subsequent Creation

It has already been mentioned that the Aether by its very nature is drawn everywhere where there is movement

In the case of the humanly spiritual kind in Subsequent Creation the Aether works as a self-acting support for everything that wells up out of the spiritual essence of man, and it must therefore always be drawn by the vibrations issuing from the core of the spiritual spark within man

The more these vibrations are in accord with the great Harmony working in the work of Creation as the visible form of the Will of God, the more strongly is the Aether drawn to such a kind of radiation of a man

It works as a fluid upon all planes

Here on earth it then manifests itself above all upon a plane finer than gross materiality, namely in the aura of man

The strength of the radiation of the aura is proportionate to how much Aether is drawn to a man by his own mobility

Mobility is meant upon all the planes of man, that is upon the plane of the spirit, of the soul and of the body

Yet decisive too is the purpose for which the Aether is drawn upon by man

An inwardly living man swinging in accord with the Laws of God will always be the strongest magnet for the Aether working in Subsequent Creation

It is of course possible to perceive the circling of the Aether around a man in part even in one's own earthly covering, for towards such a man homogeneous people, as well as animals and everything animistic, are naturally drawn

Strengthened by the gathered power of densified Aether, such a man can then work as the starting centre of much happening

The condition for this is the original foundation, that is a brisk, radiantly pure spiritual movement

The more luminous this movement becomes, the more strongly is the Aether drawn to the man

These are then forces of an unspeakably mighty kind which can be in the nearness of such an earthman

That something of the sort of an extraordinary force, resting in the working of the Aether in union with man, truly works around a man did not escape the notice of the more receptive people already thousands of years ago

Some men shrewd in intellect observed it long ago and also sought to draw these forces to themselves so as to make use of them

They influenced the drawing of the Aether upon their soul plane, which is also in part possible, although such a force no longer carries sufficient weight

Nevertheless it is possible through the radiation of the soul to draw the Aether and to use its power for great happenings

In time they learned to discern the Aether ever better and also grasped that its effects can be consciously drawn to oneself if the fundamental rule is fulfilled, when a man sets his inner volition in motion for it

They learned to master this manner of drawing more fully and used its power for unheard-of manifestations of their working before other people

The sorcerers, magicians and shamans of old, but also warriors and above all many priests of the ancient peoples, all of them were initiated by their forerunners and teachers into the art of drawing the force of the Aether

Also some people receptive in clear intuitive perception often entered of their own accord into close union with the force of the Aether

Many of them perceived its power upon themselves, which they used for instance also for the healing of their fellow men

For the most part, however, many cunning men always sought gradually to master the force of the Aether and to compel it to work only for them and for their narrowed aims

Often they used its power against one another, and even sought to misuse its effects for the subjugation of other people or for the destruction of the fruits of their labour

Thereby, however, men made the force of the Aether hostile to any later use

Only here and there was this force used consciously for the benefit of one's fellow men or of the whole world

It may therefore be said that it is rather a fortunate thing that men in general, through the influence of the spreading of Christianity on earth, gradually grew unaccustomed to such practices in the course of the ages

Save for very rare exceptions they lost the abilities for a conscious union with the Aether

And yet the Aether is an important force for man if he wishes to attain a heightened degree of working, and this above all for highly noble aims in the service of the Light

It is an inseparable part of the equipment which the human spirit receives as a help in that part of Subsequent Creation, so that he may more easily and in greater measure further the good wherever he is

In its effects there is to be found the manifestation of the near, helping embrace of the work of Creation, provided it is used by men for pure creating and upbuilding

There is Aether enough for man in every place for every noble use

It has already been said that the Aether is an ocean continually replenished from the heights, from which one may draw without ceasing, without the force swinging within it ever growing less

Men can never exhaust the Aether

And just as little can its power be misused on a great scale, for this is now already prevented by the coming of the Ray of the Will of God into Subsequent Creation

The nearness of Parzival permits nothing of the kind

At the same time, however, the might of the Aether is newly blessed by Him Himself, and this for all new creating by the mankind soon to be purified

This is because, for the arising of the Aether, O-dio-nar is granted by the Love of God at the summit of Creation a continually new influx of forces

Springing in its origin from the Divine source, this force bears within itself the promise of inexhaustibility and at the same time a mighty protection against its misuse for evil ends

From the Grail this force streams continually in primordially eternal currents along an animistic riverbed down to the regions of Valhalla

Here O-dio-nar, as the highest animistic servant of Valhalla, receives this force and, through the will of his faithful service, gives it an animistic enveloping for the use of all further life in Subsequent Creation

Thereby the original primordial power of purely spiritual-animistic origin from Primordial Creation pours down into the lowlands of the materialities circling in the planes of Subsequent Creation

O-dio-nar receives this force and in faithful service sends it further

The radiation of Divine origin, which at the summit in the Grail becomes spiritual, is enveloped by O-dio-nar in Valhalla with an animistic covering, whence there arise countless luminous particles which we may call the primordial foundation particles, out of which everything in Subsequent Creation is formed

If we wish to make clear to ourselves how Subsequent Creation arose, we need to picture how, before the visible forms of the individual wholes came into being, the ocean of Aether advanced in its unyielding and seething power, composed of building particles which always in part separated themselves in order to shape the forms

Thus everything advanced in ever further densification, until at last, with the help of the High animistic servants, the planes of the gross material universes were formed

The universe never arose through a primal explosion, but was formed through the interweaving of vortices of Aether, whence came the precipitations of Aether particles which clustered together until they began to attain the first building components of matter recognisable by men

The gross material universe arose through the precipitation of Aether particles

Beside these particles there is also continually present the original form of the Aether, which forms an outer bath for everything coarser

This bath penetrates all things and, like the living power of an ocean of water, forms a lasting embrace for all forms of matter and for the life arisen out of them

Everything abides continually in the earthly invisible bath of the Aether, which in swirling currents and spirals brings development or decay

The simple people of the ancient nations knew a little of this swirling happening, for they met with it in many places in their bond with nature

Unlike the malevolent ones mentioned above, who wished to misuse the force of the Aether, they revered this force in its natural manifestations and gave thanks for its effects, through which they were continually helped by way of the happenings in nature

With the help of animistic and of spiritual guides and helpers they also learned in part to work and to create with this force

So it was at the beginning of earthly mankind

Thanks to this there could arise on earth, in a comparatively short time, a great flowering and ascent of realms forgotten today

The age of Atlantis belonged to one of them

But it was not Atlantis alone

Even before it there were several recurring periods of flowering, when men developed in their spiritual maturity in a state of complete accord with everything else that is to be found in the work of Creation

Thereby they strode from one degree of upbuilding to a further and yet greater flowering

With every new day blessing fell into their lap, and they succeeded in fashioning the greatest works, of which men today know nothing and which they can no longer even picture to themselves

In that time the first men drew fully from the loving embrace of the work of Creation

Each time, however, there came afterwards a wavering caused by the failure to receive purely all successes as gifts of God, and there quickly developed among mankind the conceit that it was the highest chosen kind next after God, whom it almost equalled

Such an attunement had always in the end to direct the effects of the Aether towards the result of its own destruction

After the coming of the Son of God the whole concentration of men was therefore directed towards humility before God, to whom men could draw near only through the highest striving in a pure and simple life

Only thus could men also be shielded from the influence of the tempter and from the already incipient ailments of the developed frontal brain

Therefore much knowledge about the forces of the Aether was pushed into oblivion by the animistic servants and by the spiritual helpers of men

Men were to pass along the path of the daily struggle for survival, so that in this striving they might learn to recognise in the right way the helps of God

Much knowledge was therefore concealed by the hands of the animistic servants, and this in spite of the efforts of the pioneering enthusiasm of individual enlightened men who for centuries sought to penetrate deeper into the folds of the great connections of the forces in matter

The time was not ripe for the renewed acquiring of the ancient knowledge about the Aether

Mankind walked the paths which it had itself prepared

From the standpoint of the knowledge about the work of Creation and about the forces working within it, these paths were the most destitute part of history through which men had to wander

It was so because men had before that wilfully forsaken the path of the childlike simple receiving of all the glorious gifts out of the embrace of Creation

The union with everything higher had thus in the end to be almost lost

There remained only a dim awareness and a half-blind groping after something of which those who sought had no greater knowledge

Although the Aether and its helping power were given to the human spirits from the beginning upon their path of ripening as an aid to a more effective working in matter, the union needed for this was in the end severed

The finding of a new union with this force belongs only to the present coming of spiritual enlightenment

This new time, which now lies before mankind, contains within itself several conditions for the human spirits

In the first place it is the conscious acknowledgment of the fact that man belongs inseparably to the Work of the Creator, and that his being can never endure for even a moment without the helping forces contained in this Work from the beginning

In the second place it is the knowledge, indivisibly important for man, about the omnipresent animistic weaving, which is the shaper and the upholder of the Will of God in Creation

Without the knowledge, and above all without the full acknowledgment, of the weaving of the animistic servants, mankind cannot move further

And precisely in the time of spiritual enlightenment this will be impressed upon men through many experiences which are now coming

When men have grasped all this, then all angry tension will cease within them, malice will pass away, and with it the revolt against the seeming injustice of fate, which in the thoughts of many despairing men could hitherto maintain itself solely by reason of the desperate ignorance of the greater part of mankind

Then men, in a wholly new knowledge, will lay themselves with peaceful joy into the embrace of Creation, and in receiving many helps unrecognised today they will again become knowers of the Creator and of His work of Creation

The inner being of many a man will after a very long time be filled with happiness and with pure hope-filled strengthening

At last mankind will be able to feel at home in Creation, and this in all places

It will be so because men will at last grasp how the threads of their fate are guided by the hands of the animistic weavers always in the most just manner, precisely so as to prepare for each one the path that enables him to ascend step by step into the blessed spheres of the Light in Primordial Creation
