With a special kind of radiation there works upon men the planet which here in the nearness of the earth belongs to the high animistic servant of Valhalla, Hathmes

With its special radiation it surrounds the perceiving of men, for it bears within itself a hidden message that recalls the necessity of closing everything that has arisen, so that progress and ascent may be attained

For much human thinking and acting it holds that the condition for the closing of the past brings with it at the same time the need to redeem all the wrong that went before and to transform it into the right, so that man may advance higher in the planes of the Subsequent Creation

Upon this redeeming Hathmes insists with inexorable power and never gives way in it, for therein lies hidden for him the sacred fulfilment of his service in the Subsequent Creation

Nor can he do otherwise, for he arose to consciousness in this service and therefore knows no other way than that everything, in the sequence of the development of sowing, ripening and harvest, returns again to its starting point

In this principle stands everything that has arisen in the Subsequent Creation, and for none of the creatures is there a possibility of escape

In the Subsequent Creation everything that is to be found here is subject to this cycle

Valhalla alone stands above it with its halls and is exempted from this cycle, for it is subject to the higher order of the great cycle of the Primordial Creation

What is fulfilled in the halls of Valhalla is exempted from the firmly working principle which downwards into the materialities is fulfilled from the place where the three spinners – Urda, Werdandi and Skulda – are to be found

From these places downwards everything is subordinate to Hathmes as the administrator of the sequence of all the happenings that unfold within the bounds of the Subsequent Creation

The worlds which lie within this field of Hathmes' working are subject to his vigilant service, in which he unyieldingly holds everything in the one order of the necessary Law of movement and development and also of the Law of Reciprocal Action

It is all one whether it be a matter of the spiritual or of the animistic

Everything that enters the bounds of Hathmes' working is immediately subject to the wheel of judgment, which he turns as a great circle wherein everything yields to the great law of growth and to the Law of Reciprocal Action

This holds also for the high animistic servants

If in the fulfilling of their tasks these find themselves in the Subsequent Creation, then all of them to the last are subject to the principle which Hathmes administers

Should they wish to be exempted from this principle, then these servants must ascend to the places of Valhalla, where they are subject to another kind of the great laws working in the work of Creation

These great laws work in the same kind, for of course it is not possible that they should be otherwise, since everything is subject to the primordially eternal Will of God, which pervades the whole great work of Creation

The cycle of sowing and harvest, however, which is to be found in the Primordial Creation above Valhalla and in Valhalla, is bound to another great cycle than that which pervades the whole ensuing space of the materialities of the Subsequent Creation

This cycle in the materialities falls under the administration of the Circle of Hathmes, and he administers the principle established from the beginning, in which there manifests the wise Justice appointed for the materialities of the Subsequent Creation, wherein the development of the human spiritual germs is fulfilled from the beginning to their full maturity

Everything that sinks into these material planes unconditionally takes upon itself the principle of movement and development which is upheld by the sure hand of Hathmes

So it is with the high animistic servants, with all the spiritual servants, and so it is also with the human spiritual sparks, which in their acquired maturity can and should swing themselves above the bounds of the Subsequent Creation, where they enter into a new cycle of the effects of the Laws of Creation, which will bring them the true experiencing of the spiritual perfection of being

If the human spirit is permitted to enter the spiritual homeland, then he is surrounded by the working of another kind of the great cycle of the effects of the Will of God

The power of these effects manifests otherwise than in the Subsequent Creation, for in the spheres of the spiritual worlds the human spirit is exposed to the direct pressure of the immediate reciprocal action of his volition

This immediate reciprocal action, however, in his maturity and spiritual full value makes him on the contrary free and thereby brings his spirit a blessedness such as cannot be found in the Subsequent Creation

This is because no threads arise for the spirit which would compel him to a later living-out and redeeming

This law is part of the moment of the present, in which everything is at once judged and strengthened by the Light

Everything is fulfilled at once and immediately, and thereby the free will of the spirit is at the same time unhindered for all his further volition and uninfluenced by anything other than his joyful volition out of the present

For the understanding of this state it is needful to take up the fact that the human spirit who is an inhabitant of the spiritual homeland is a spirit who does not err, one who lastingly swings in harmony with the whole of the blessed place of Paradise in which he is permitted to dwell

Although this lays upon the human spirit the highest demand of maturity and of unconditional lasting swinging in harmony with the spiritual sphere in which he finds himself, the great liberation and joy is bound up precisely with this, that the spirit is in every moment the master of his fate, for he is the full ruler over his impulses, which here bear within themselves only the creative power of joy, purity and harmony

In the Subsequent Creation, however, it is otherwise

Through the connection with thousands of threads, of which he often knows nothing at all, since they are the object of his long-forgotten volition, the past returns with delay to many a spirit in the coverings of matter and moves him often against his own volition to places and into situations which he would not choose of himself, for these experiences bring him the pressure that demands a reciprocal experiencing and thereby the laying aside of the past

Out of this there arises in many men the impression of unfreedom and of a certain brake upon their present volition, to which they would like to give themselves wholly, were they not compelled to experience again and again the returning consequences of their earlier volition

Yet it is only their unripeness which holds them back from the experiencing of full freedom

There is also need of the conscious acceptance of all hardships by those spirits who have incarnated into the densities of matter for the help of others, and to whom in the slowed reciprocal course the cycle of radiation often brings the experiencing of injustice and of the hardships arising out of it

They need only to grasp that this is part of these worlds, and that before they came to these places their spirit knew everything about these conditions

Whether therefore it be an experiencing in unripeness or in a forgetting of the knowledge of the spirit before incarnation, everything bound up with the course of the effects of the Law of Reciprocal Action here is only a wise ordering of the conditions for the development of the human spiritual species in the materialities of the Subsequent Creation

The cycle working here was from the beginning so ordered that the returning of earlier volition should not in its speed become destructive for unripe spirits

And precisely this great cycle is bound up with the service of the wise Hathmes, who, for the nearness of his working beside the servant Erda, chose as the anchorage of his radiation the planet next to his brother Hermetes

Men know this planet under the designation Saturn

In reality, however, it is Hathmes who is bound up with this planet, which awakens so much fear in the world of superficial horoscopes, but also in the case of many serious astrologers

Hathmes took this planet as a place which enables him here near the earth to remind men with strengthened power that they are surrounded by a sequence of happenings in which there lastingly awaits them the harvest from past times of their own sowing, which returns to them so that through its redeeming the development in the fate of man may move forward

The planet of Hathmes is in every respect remarkable and easily recognisable, for so that men might find it the exalted servant chose as his sign the circling rings which, like the brim of a hat, spread far out around the material body of the planet

From there he works and brings to men, through the radiation of his planet, a peculiar perception of unyieldingness and severity which compels everyone to repay all to the last farthing

In his radiation there lies hidden a mighty, inexorable and at the same time blessed principle of the cycle of sowing and harvest

Inexorable because it always brings back the past, blessed because in this returning lies the opportunity of ripening and thereby of advance and development

The sign of Hathmes is the circle portrayed as a serpent that bites into its own tail

It is a circle which in the form of a wise cycle pervades all volition and working of the creatures, and thus also matter itself, driven by the animistic servants throughout the whole Subsequent Creation

Through matter the high animistic servants too are bound up with the principle of Hathmes' guarding of the cycle of time, and therefore they also must fulfil it and subordinate themselves to it

No one is exempted from this cycle, in which the development of all the materialities lies hidden

Only when the high animistic servants in their own nature of the pure animistic kind ascend above matter and return to the halls of Valhalla are they at once released, in their freedom from the burden of karma, from everything that remains beneath them in the materialities

Were one of the animistic ones to fail, and were a deviation from the fulfilling of the Will of God, to which the animistic servants are directly subject, to arise in his work, then there would at once form the necessity of redeeming in the returning of what had arisen, and this would establish a connection with the animistic servant

Such an animistic servant could not return to Valhalla and would be delivered up to the ensuing course of the laws in the materialities, which are here unyieldingly ordered for everything that is sunk into matter

Today, however, this does not come into consideration for any of the high animistic servants, for these are faithfully and firmly, one may even say unswervingly, anchored through O-dio-nar and his service in Mercury, and thereby they serve in immediate connection also the Grail and Parzival

Today there is no power here that could deflect them from their unconditional fulfilling

Lucifer, with his influence which at the beginning he had also upon the animistic working, is today bound, and thereby there is no longer any power that could deflect the animistic servants from their faithful fulfilling of the service to Valhalla and to the Grail

Their power and the purity of their animistic kind bind them to the Will of God as to an inseparable, life-bringing artery of radiant power, out of which they live and in which they work

And this artery is today drawn still more strongly taut and filled with renewed power through the fact that in its nearness here in the materialities there stands the ever-strengthening Ray of Parzival

The animistic servants will in this time fulfil to the last degree, faithfully and with joyful power, all that comes through their hands also to the gross materiality of this earth

But over against these mighty servants of Valhalla there is also the spiritual, which is sunk into the layers of the materialities of the Subsequent Creation, and it has its free will in deciding and forms for itself through its volition and its acting the threads which are subject to reciprocal action

Through the power of the Ray of Parzival this free will is bound by the fact that Hathmes now has the task of returning ever more swiftly to the spiritual in the Subsequent Creation the fruit that has sprung from its sowing

Therein there comes now also a fundamental change for mankind, for this circle, which formerly described great distances at a certain patiently gentle speed of the running radiation of the threads, is today shortening and quickening

In the end it will become ever more striking to men themselves that all that is born in their volition returns to them with great speed within weeks and days, as against earlier times when the radius of this cycle described a time of months and years, or rather of decades and centuries

There comes a quickening which will surprise mankind and will awaken in them a dread of the unexpectedly appearing and strongly manifesting Law of Reciprocal Action

What men will towards others, exactly that will return to them at a speed never known here upon earth

Of course, even with this quickening there will still remain, as against the spheres of the spiritual worlds, an interval of time, for none of the men in their various degrees of maturity would stand firm under a pressure that approached the immediacy prevailing in the cycle of the spiritual laws

Through their insufficient maturity and also their inability to hold within themselves only pure volition, men would have to be shattered upon the power of the working Law of Reciprocal Action before they were able to submit to it with a new attitude

Yet already the announced and now approaching quickening of the return of all that is brought to life through the volition of man will cause a heavy shock to many

A great number of men will, on account of their attitude of hitherto far too proud and wilful acting, be finally shattered upon the reciprocal action of the working of the cycle of Hathmes, for despite the participation of the Love of God, which is woven into it for their comprehension, they will not be able to raise themselves to the purity and harmony which alone would protect them from their own downfall

Many men, even under the effects of the experiencing which will now be manifoldly strengthened, will not be willing to admit that it is they alone and they themselves who bring it about that ever heavier experiencing returns to them

This will call forth only further and still heavier experiencing, leading to the complete crushing of many dulled and malevolent men

The Law of Reciprocal Action will bring it about that these men destroy themselves through their own volition

Thus under the principle which Hathmes administers there is being prepared for mankind exactly that which belongs to it as the harvest of what was sown

Whether it be good or evil, it will always come, driven by the sequence of development within the Laws of God, to a new and quickened return

The good thereby frees the spirit and gives him more liberty upon his path, the evil binds him ever more with new links of the chain to matter, out of which he will one day have to free himself if he does not wish to perish

Over all this Hathmes watches, and his radiation works like a great arrangement of apertures which are set one behind another in many layers

We may picture it thus, that the starry heaven is composed of many layers of discs, each of which has within itself openings for the passage of radiation

As these layers are laid one over another and are turned through the effect of the development brought about by Hathmes, the forms of the openings change, which at some place always let through to man, across many layers, a certain kind of radiation

In this radiation something out of the past can then return to him, and through the weaving of the Vaenen and the Alphar it finally receives also a definite form of experiencing in the material world

If good sown at some earlier time by the human spirit is to return, then it returns at the time for which the given radiation of the good is set

If evil sown is to return at a certain time, then this comes precisely at the time when the turning of the apertures makes the return of this evil possible

If then not enough good has been sown, then at the time of the radiation of the good nothing can come to man that would bring him help and strengthening

But it holds just as well that if a man strives for the good over a long time, then even at the time when the evil could stream to him nothing evil happens in his life, because the aperture lets through no living radiation of harvest out of the sowing

This picture is known to many men who devote themselves with seriousness to the royal science of astrology

They know that many forces return to man precisely through the radiation of the stars, as these, like apertures, are turned towards man and bring him the returning past or a new radiation into the days of his path through life

The quickening described above, however, can no longer correspond to the established cycle of the stars, and therefore there is now a fundamental change

Now there begins to hold a new working of the radiation passing through the planet of Hathmes, such that we may speak of streaming torrents of forces which through their effect bring about the shortening of the cycle that is reflected in the course of the settling of man's volition from its beginning to the reciprocal return of his own volition

The decisive part in this is played precisely by the planet belonging to Hathmes, for he is called directly by Parzival to quicken the course of the time of the harvest returning to man

Men should direct their attention more to this planet, for by its position in the sky it will give a hint of what is to come

For the time immediately ahead it is therefore precisely the planet of Hathmes that is the determiner of what will come to all men upon this earth

The effects of the other stars and planets do not at this time correspond by their position to what will simultaneously happen upon the earth and to individual men

All this is now pushed aside and no longer holds as it held in earlier times

In force there remains only the determination by the stars as these were placed at the moment of a man's birth upon earth, whereby they confirm his predispositions, his abilities, but also his weaknesses

But whoever wishes now to stand rightly as an astrologer for the determining of the near as well as the distant future in the destinies of men and of the earth needs to free himself entirely from everything past, for the stars in their present ordering no longer play the part they played before

Everything is now outshone, with a swiftness expected by no one, by the mighty strengthening of the radiation which the servant Hathmes received from Parzival in a sacred calling

His radiation surpasses all the other stars and constellations in the heavens, and their influence is in part set aside from its hitherto effects precisely through this present calling of Hathmes to bring about the quickening of the happenings in the closing culmination of the Judgment of God upon earth

Only when everything has settled after the upheaving changes in the universe and upon the earth will it be possible in this new age to seek again, in the streaming of the forces of the radiation of the constellations, the rhythm of the cycle of the radiation which returns to man

Then too the stars will bring blessing in a radiation which men will come to know as wholly new, unknown forces bringing health and happiness to all life upon earth

This will be part of the new age which will come after the settling and discharging of all the serious threads of karma of individuals and of the whole of earthly mankind, when only then will it be possible to speak of the completion of the purification and of the creating of the conditions for the new age of mankind

This time, however, will only come after the events which bring great changes in all happening

No one can any longer be guided by what has held until now, for since the calling of Hathmes to the fulfilment of his task everything is otherwise

For this he received, and still receives, new power out of the Ray of Parzival, in which there lies the direct efficacy of the Divine kind of radiation

The Will of God contained in the Ray drives everything forward in its radiance, and he who has charge of the fulfilling of the quickening of the course of all happenings is the faithful servant Hathmes

Whoever is permitted to see the finer happening upon the animistic plane now beholds an unprecedented radiance in the rings circling about the temple which stands here for the service of Hathmes

His dome is lit to whiteness by the power streaming to him out of the Divine Ray, which bears within itself the Will to the fulfilment of all the promises pronounced by Parzival – Imanuel

All that was pronounced for the judgment and the destruction of the darkness, as also the liberation that was promised to those who are reborn in the spirit, all this is contained in the surging power which streams to the earth through Hathmes and his dome, which lies in the planet neighbouring upon the dome of Hermetes

The rings shine, just as Hathmes himself now shines, for the power that pervades him brings him rejuvenation and freshness for the activity which will become the destiny of the whole of mankind

No man can picture how everything is being fulfilled and how everything, in the perfection of the Wisdom of God, hastens towards the time when there will sound through the whole space of the universe the returning words “It is finished”

The hands of all the animistic servants work in an activity and at a speed that is wholly other than men have known during the last millennia

They too are now driven by the Law of movement, into which through Hathmes there has poured the power of Parzival's fulfilment of the Judgment

Through the universe there sound a rumbling, a trembling and the calling of the helpers, who strive ever more often to shake the spiritual inner being of men

How many, however, are there who awaken and seek something higher

The pressure meanwhile grows stronger and will bring something that men have not known until now

The will and the volition of men will no longer run in the courses to which they were accustomed, but will slip entirely out of their control, and they will be compelled to show themselves visibly such as they are in their inner being

This is the heaviest moment, which draws near to every single man

His inner being will be revealed and made visible such as it is, so that in that same moment it may be judged and directed either towards the Light or into the depths of the condemned darkness

But even this is other than men still now picture it and than they expect it

The pressure leads them to the experiencing of single moments, of which the most important expressions of their inner being are the small things to which almost no one pays heed

These small things can be caught only by the conscience of man in an inward flash of the experiencing of something peculiar which suddenly speaks within him

Immediately upon this experiencing there follows a further experience, which calls forth in man a further impression that either brings the collapse of the inner world within him or, on the contrary, calls forth an incomprehensible fulfilment of joy leading to tears of happiness

Thus these moments will grow stronger under the pressure of the strengthened radiation of Hathmes, and the speed with which all this will happen will completely change the perceiving of men of the world they have known

We are now in the opening part of this happening

Therefore let no one look about at how the neighbours around him pass through this time, but direct all the powers that still remain in you to the striving of your spiritual inner being, so that everything you experience may be received in inward peacefulness and brightness, and the result of it may be a harmony radiating out of you for everything and for all

This state can be held within oneself only with the help of trust in the Justice of God and the Love which now passes around every man in order to change this world of men into the kingdom of God upon earth
