Celeine, despite the delicacy of the radiance of her light in comparison with Apollo, is immeasurably important for the growth of the plants upon the whole Earth

There is no plant which would not need the touch of the light of Celeine

If the light of the material body of Celeine attains wholeness, that is to say the full moon, then with the assistance of the Elves and above all in the weaving of the helping radiation of the exalted Siphe there streams through the plants a special cosmic force which brings to ripeness precisely the most precious qualities of the plants

The herbs gain the power for healing, the fruits are penetrated by the full savour of juiciness, and in the blossoms there gathers the highest delicacy of the fragrances

In the time of the full moon the leaves, the blossoms and the fruits are strengthened and grow strong, whereas in the time of the new moon the roots increase and grow mighty in the soil

All this is given already through the earliest times, when Celeine began to accompany Erda upon her wandering through the universe

Already at that time, when the density of the body of the moon had finished forming itself, Celeine descended from the heights of the gardens of Asgard along the threads led by the Alphar and through her coming breathed into the matter of the moon the peculiarity of her radiation, which we shall find nowhere else in the universe

Her fragile delicacy predestined her to a working in passivity, but nevertheless she vibrates in a species of radiation which the whole earthly world here needs most urgently

It is given from the beginning of her working that her light is in the highest degree needful for all life upon Erda, so that everything may ripen to full worth

Thus man too needs this radiation at every time of his age, and not only that, this radiation is bound up precisely with the place where he lives and whither the ray of Celeine ever falls exactly as it is needful at the given time

In that the body of the moon is set towards the Earth always with the same part of its countenance, out of which a quite definite light falls upon the peoples there, Celeine then receives through her other, averted side the radiation coming at the same angle out of the far distances of the universe

This setting of the countenance of the moon towards the Earth came to pass at the time of the collision with the comet which the spear of Hareiars had sent forth

Before this impact of the comet the moon turned independently upon its axis, almost one and a half times in an earthly day, and brought to the Earth yet another, far more blessed radiation

At the time when the gentle hand of Haetheine steadied the material moon back upon its course, a peculiar phenomenon occurred, in that Celeine inclined herself permanently with only one of her sides towards the Earth, and thus she turns but once in a long time, so that in her inclination she follows the Earth

Efredite looked on at all this from the vicinity of the planet of Astarte, which she visits from time to time, and she now relates that Celeine inclined herself thus in order to hide from Erda her wounds caused by the shattered comet which struck into her

In reality, however, it is a consequence which is again only a great fulfilment and which confirms the wisdom of the decision of O-dio-nar, for the halting of the independent rotation of the body of Celeine weakened the radiation of men, which before that had given them a higher power over the animistic ones who work directly in connection with Erda upon the Earth

Through the halting of the own rotation of the body of the moon men thus lost the power of working with which they had ruled the great giants and also the smaller and the smallest animistic ones, such as the Elves and the other servants

Men, however, received the gift of a new radiation which supports them more in the spiritual drawing of forces out of the far distances of the universe

Through the body of the moon there streams a radiation which mediates more strengthening for the soul-part and the spiritual part of man than formerly that more animistic radiation was wont to do

When one day men ripen spiritually to that height where they will already stand wholly in harmony with the Laws of God in Creation, then Haetheine will set in motion a small portion of matter which through its light impact upon the moon will again lay power into the direction of its turning

There will also cease that rocking which remained to the material body of Celeine from the time of the fall of the empire of Atlantis, when Haetheine with her power halted it in its deflected circling around Erda and returned it back to the original distance

Then there will come a truly blessed time of the being of mankind upon the Earth, when thanks to their wisdom men will be able again to attain the full co-operation with the animistic servants

Until that time, however, men have the possibility of seeking and of finding the connection with these animistic servants through their receptive humility and highest purity, because their dominating power is weakened

Thereby it is made impossible for earthly men ever again in their failing to work falsely with their dominating power upon all the near animistic

In spite of all this there is here a great blessing which Celeine transmits with her radiation to earthly men for their ripening

It is the moon, Celeine, who in the time of the nightly calming lets the peoples and the men born among them ripen towards their inspiration and their receptivity in quite specific abilities, which then determine their further development upon the Earth

If we have a sunny day, when the rays of Apollo glow down upon the Earth, then the night on the contrary is cooling, and through the body of Celeine there can work the radiation of the outer universe prepared for the growth of other parts than those which grow in the sun

In the night-time, when through Celeine the radiation comes to the Earth, the Alphar form in the astral plane the archetypes which in the gross matter ripen only afterwards beneath the light of Apollo

And it is not a question only of the happenings in the natural world of plants and of living creatures, but it is here also a question of the happenings in the threads of fate of continents, of peoples, of lands and of individuals

Out of that which flows to the Earth through the body of Celeine there is woven, in the stillness of the moonlight, something new which is yet to come

Many a man lies down in the evening with the inward conviction that in the night his affairs will move forward, and therefore with some decision he waits until the break of morning

And indeed, overnight much has truly ripened and has gained a new dimension, without his having been able withal to do anything materially in the earthly matter

These are the fortunate ones who hold fast the inward connection with the streams descending from Celeine to the Earth

In her streams there is contained growth, strengthening, ripening and above all the spiritual advance in their life

They are connected with the radiation of Celeine in the right attunement, and thereby the time of night is for them always a certain blessing

It is a true wisdom rightly to rely upon it that in the time of the working of the rays of Celeine the spirit, in connection with the body, gains for itself in the night the possibility of bringing from the Vaenen new threads in which it may ripen and ascend upwards to the Light

In the night-time there take place extraordinarily blessed happenings of the joining on of new threads and at the same time also of the loosing of threads already ripe and lived out

It is so because in this time the earthly consciousness does not disturb so much with its restlessness in thinking, and because it is not able to meddle with and to hinder these exceedingly delicate happenings which take place around the inner being of man

The excessively strong radiating of the day consciousness often wholly disturbs the delicate joining of the threads which are brought to the inner being of man

We speak here of the delicate threads which are joined on under the effect of the helping radiation of Celeine, from which it is surely already evident to the readers that the most receptive herein will be above all women, and such women as still hold in their inner being the refined capacity for these happenings

Together with the radiation of Celeine, strengthened above all in the time of the full moon, there comes also the radiation of Astarte, which has its material anchorage in the planet which men call Venus

This planet is from the beginning of its existence administered by the animistic servant Astarte, who has her spiritual and primordially spiritual archetype with the servants who bear the same name of the exalted species – Astarte

Of this servant, however, we shall yet speak separately, when the time comes in which she herself will make it known that her glorious service may be brought nearer to the knowing men upon the Earth

For now this mention of the servant Astarte suffices here, so that women in particular may attune themselves more to that pure delicacy which is precisely a part of the connecting threads that draw near in the time of the whitely glittering light of the full moon

Precisely at that time many mothers can also perceive how these threads circle around their small and also their bigger children, and how there joins itself to their beloved children that which will afterwards come to them, at a certain time, also in material experiencing

These are the so-called intimations, or also premonitions, which many a mother feels, very receptively bound up with the fate of her children, and in fervent love she strives to help them fight through the way for a brighter and more blessed life upon the Earth

In this attunement many an earthly mother becomes so receptive that not seldom she may behold in the ethereal how around her sleeping child there move the ethereal figures of the Vaenen, who are both of the feminine and of the masculine species and who bring to the child that which we may call the little threads of fate

In these threads there is woven for the child everything that it will experience in the near and also in the more distant time, and the fervent intercessory prayer of the mother, who at that moment may divine beforehand the troubled fate of the child, is able at least in part to change the directness and the harshness of some threads

Many a mother bears this also in her subconsciousness, and therefore she often urgently warns her children against the rashnesses and the wrong ways of life, because in her inward echo the experience of the perceived moment of the joining on of the threads by the Vaenen is still living

Herein it may be said that with mothers who preserve their inward purity and who above all bear within themselves a fervent love for their children, there is often fulfilled a certain higher protective instinct which grows not out of earthly apprehension and fear, but out of an inward perceiving of something that is “in the air”, which at the same time, however, is in no way describable nor to be grasped for an intellectual description and explanation

It must here be added that this degree of receptivity is not bound only to the earthly mother as such, but it may be a question of anyone who bears within himself the inward capacity for delicate intuitive perceiving

Thus it may well be the grandmother of the child, an aunt, a godmother or even a hired nurse, or a wholly other person who on one of the following moonlit nights, after a previous meeting with the child, may experience something of the kind

It may even come to pass that this receptivity comes also to some man who is sufficiently refined in his perceiving and who is permitted to experience something thereof

In every respect we may say that it is a happening blessed from the Light, for such experiencing always brings a higher vibrating of the intuitive perception, whereby a warning or a help in some matter can be transmitted sufficiently early

Through all this there can become ever clearer to the reader the recognition of how everything around us is a living happening, how everything in a glorious interconnection completes and supports itself, and especially how out of all this there arises the great recognition that earthly man is constantly watched over and has around him countless protections, which he often truly forcefully and wilfully breaks through, so that in the end he comes into a heavy experiencing which grips and stifles him, because the threads of the Vaenen, which bring something out of past times, could not therein be redeemed by him only symbolically, but the experiencing had in the end to come in its full and often harsh power

The time of night is therefore especially lovingly helpful, when the radiation of Celeine comes to the Earth and when in the peace of sleep new experiences are prepared which await the time of some morning awakening

Thus in the morning there appear quite suddenly, for instance, the first manifestations of an outbreaking illness, and the body awakens into a wholly new radiation which calls for an experiencing of a new kind upon the way of man

Everything that had been planned by such a man until that time becomes all at once, under the pressure of the new circumstances, null and secondary

But also the contrary: with the morning light of the sun in the windows an illness may all at once be lost and man is freed from long-lasting afflictions

The first tidings after the dawning sometimes also bring quite unexpected clarifications of complicated events, and it then works as though the breaking of the sun bore a message of victory

The radiation of the solar disc of Apollo is at this moment only a symbolic supporter of that which came to pass precisely in the night, when the Vaenen drew near along the strengthened rays of Celeine and were permitted to loose the past from the present, for the inward predisposition of man gave the occasion for it and the radiation of Celeine brought for the accomplishment a sufficiency of quiet and kindly brightness

The men of ancient days knew all these delicate vibrations descending to the Earth through the streams of Celeine

Therefore they also valued the night-time as more than merely a time for the rest of the body

They knew very well that in the time of night there come to the surface forces which are hidden during the day

These were not forces which they would have feared and sought to avoid, but it was for them the peculiar sounding of calling worlds, which they received with humility and reverence as a natural part of life

Not in vain are those men spoken of who do not wish to sleep at night and who disturb others with unseemly noises, as disturbers of the nightly peace

Of that peace which is necessary for the healthy weaving of the streams of Celeine and thus needful for the individual as well as for the whole of society

Woe to those men who misuse the quiet peace of night for their foul deeds and who in this time cause harm to their neighbours

The Vaenen then weave such threads of the evil-doers as doubly heavy

He who seeks out the peaceful night-time in order to do harm and to disturb at the time when those streams out of the universe descend to the Earth, bringing an advance in the development in nature and also in the judgments of men, he is in the eyes of all that is animistic a true evil-doer, and he has also rightly to fear that which is to come

The night upon the Earth is appointed for peace, so that the weaving of the higher worlds may flow freely and in a helping manner to men upon their ways through life

He who in the night-time leads an attack against other men, who begins a war and wishes to cause harm, he will never be victorious in such a battle, but all the radiations of the universe will always turn against him

Such a one will in the end be overcome and destroyed, for through his conduct he has broken the unwritten covenant of the whole universe, that the night is here for the radiation of the delicate weaving of the animistic species

Here many will ask: and what of Thonorun, is he then not a disturber in the time of the nightly peace, and what of Orkanos with his sons, or perhaps the working of the other elements in the night-time upon the Earth

The answer is simple: these high animistic servants fulfil in this time always the will of the animistic species, wherein also in their work there is contained a certain radiation penetrating from Celeine to the Earth

They would never begin their work without also receiving the consent thereto from the side of Celeine

Let men also call to mind the cleansed night sky, when all the sultry clouds are blown away by the storm and into the brightness of the nightly landscape there emerges the light of the moon, which brings its calming radiation

Therein the answer is contained, for in the animistic world there are no opposites and no antagonisms, but there is here always only harmony, leading in the upward direction ever more distinctly and more directly

In the end everything that happens in the universe and in the climate upon the Earth hastens, like one single symphony, into the hands of the highest animistic administrator of all things in the Subsequent Creation, into the hands of O-dio-nar, who again only fulfils the Will of the Father of all

Perhaps one day men will recognise that fairy-tale quality of the work of Creation, into which they were permitted to awaken in the awakening of their spiritual spark

Then they will value everything that happens around them and which today many still do not recognise, and which therefore they also do not understand in the least

But already the change draws near which under the pressure of the Light will move all this a great piece forward

The approaching change brings the spiritual awakening of man and thereby also a complete reversal of his hitherto view of this world

Together with the bitterness and the chagrin over how he could have overlooked all this for so long, earthly man will at the same time be enchanted by his new seeing of the world

This new seeing will then, in its glorious liveliness, for ever strengthen him only to a joyful and thankful walking upwards to the Light
