Faithfully accompanying Erda in her circling around the earth, the servant Celeine fulfils her great service

She joined herself to her in primeval times, and since then she moves through the universe together with Erda through all the periods, including the troubled times of human existence

Her body was formed out of particles of the finest star-dust, which joined together in order to form the material support for the working of this glorious servant

The animistic Celeine bears within herself a multitude of bridging rays which incline themselves to all that is capable of a finer inner attunement here upon earth

She is, among other things, similarly to Astarte, the mediator of a pure stream of rays which incline themselves also to the earthly woman and influence her with their strengthening radiation

Her moon wanders in bright nights above the earth and whispers to all who are more receptive her stories of the higher meaning of being

With her peculiar white light she awakens the work of the pineal gland, so that this, like a spiritual antenna, may attune itself rightly and may be permitted to mediate strong and clear spiritual dreams, in which there are found many admonitions and inspirations which may come to men in the time of sleep

Celeine has yet one more chief and very peculiar task in her animistic working

In that it was given to her to wander through the universe together with Erda, upon whom she always works with the strengthening stream of her attracting kind, her light is a tube which penetrates to the earth, so that there, where her radiation falls, everything may come more alive in a pure spiritual attunement

However much she herself works passively, she nevertheless bears within herself an attracting power which she uses at the time when her material body of the moon is near to Erda and when it is illumined by the rays of Apollo, that is, when the moon shines wholly in the full

She receives the rays of Apollo and transforms them through the feminine principle into a strong inspiring

Apollo with his rays warms and drives forward, the moon then changes his transformed light into a cool, seemingly invisible, yet all the more active life

Precisely in the time which is called the full moon her rays are the strongest

Then she draws up from the earth everything that bears water within itself, and thereby she makes not only the water but every creature lighter, more loosened from the earthly bondage

Even though it concerns an almost negligible difference in the actual material weight, there is nevertheless here at the same time an effective happening which may be called a loosening from the heaviness of matter

This freeing from a part of the earthly heaviness is to help all life upon earth to release itself gradually ever more from the fetters of matter, so that in the loosening of these fetters everything might rise nearer to the finer spheres of the materialities

In that time everyone can thus more easily unite himself with those near to him who went before him into the spheres of the finer worlds, provided however that these have not yet ascended so high that it is not possible for the greater part of earthly men to reach thither through the insufficiency of their luminosity

But even so, in that time there come some beneficent souls of those near, that in the loosening in the time of the nights of the full moon they may take their earthly friends or kinsfolk upon walks through the finer worlds

Alas, few remember anything of the kind, for the earthly intellect in its rankness often, at the very close of such an outing, when the soul of man returns again into the earthly body, causes confusion in all the experienced pictures, for it seeks to add to them earthly forms which are bound to the present

Thereby confusion arises, and in the end there remains only somewhere deep in the inner being a quiet echo of some vibration of something beautiful, recently past, which appears as a gladdening remembrance

Celeine observes with joy the streaming multitudes of luminous souls to whom it is granted in her rays to draw near to the earth and to rise again, as though at one moment there worked a kind of supra-earthly moving stairway which in the time of the full moon makes it possible to set out upon a journey with those long near who have already departed from the earthly world

There is in it so much glory and so much helping vibration, filled with a sacred sounding, that men cannot even imagine that something of the kind still happens even in today's times of heavy materialism

Through the loosening of a certain particle of materiality in all the cells of the body there penetrates, in inwardly more luminous men, more of the radiation of Celeine, which loosens the silver cord and thereby more easily releases the soul from the earthly body

It is a glorious kind of blessing which Celeine grants to the human spirits upon earth, of which the ancient peoples knew, but of which today almost nothing is known

Celeine and her moon are the connecting bridge between this world and the beyond

That is that important task on account of which Celeine is here and faithfully accompanies the earth

The sublime servant is filled only with sorrow that men today are no longer able to experience anything of the kind consciously, and that thereby the abyss between them and those near to them and their friends in the finer worlds opens ever wider and wider

Men today know nothing of the possible meeting with their beloved, so long as these are still nearer to the earth and themselves still wait until they may advance higher into still finer worlds

From there they no longer draw so near back to the earth, yet they can ask other friends of theirs, who have likewise already passed over into the finely gross material world, to fetch their dear ones for them and, during a walk in those lovely worlds which fortunately still partly extend around the earth, to convey to them the tidings from those near to them

In this happening there is much that is beautiful and a blessed strengthening for both sides

Thus also it was always to have been, that men might be permitted to maintain the connection with those who were near to their inner being, that they might know of them and not mourn in despair that those who departed are no more and that therefore they will never behold them again

Alas, many endeavours of the churches and also the opinions of the materialists form in earthly men a barrier which separates them from the greater knowledge which is here so greatly needed, so that everything might be experienced naturally and thereby also more fully by all those who have within themselves the predispositions for it

The souls in the beyond long greatly for the continuing connection with those who are upon earth, yet everything that men form around it leads strongly to a blocking, or, in a certain darkening of the inner being, only to the creating of the impression that it is a matter of a kind of ghost-seeking and spiritism, which in many men calls forth apprehension and fear, if not even a vehement rejection and suppression

Elsewhere it is again a foolish mockery, reacting to the abilities of those who are able to unite themselves with the souls of those who have departed from the earthly body

It is, however, the laughter of fools, a laughter which only signifies that these mocking men have lost something which may in reality be called a precious possession, they have lost the receptivity of the spiritual kind

And yet it is something wholly natural, and the departure of the soul from the earthly body may be likened to that picture of someone near vanishing into a mist into which our eyes cannot penetrate

As a personality he has surely not perished, he has only passed through a place where a belt of mist has severed and hidden his personality from our hitherto clear perceiving

We do not see him continually, but we can perceive him and also hear him and from time to time even behold him for a moment, so that we may know that he is still full of power and that upon his further paths it goes well with him

He even almost always seeks to convey this to us, to inform us of his further experiences and, among other things, to tell us how much of the earthly happening is now, from his side of the divide, seen quite otherwise

He wishes to share it with us, to draw our attention to many mistaken views upon the meaning of life, but the said barrier, which is formed in the minds of the greater part of earthly men, is cruelly heavy, and therefore he collides with it

Fortunately there are always upon earth at least some number of men who in the sensitivity of their soul keep the ability to receive it, and these have then already for long centuries held the bridge between the earth and the other parts of the work of Creation, so that it may not wholly collapse for earthly men

And precisely for this bridge, for its use, there has been formed from the beginning of the existence of the servants Erda and Celeine a helping connection which is ever open for earthly men, if they awaken to it and in a natural and pure attunement perceive more of that which happens between these two worlds, between the gross, earthly materiality and the fine gross materiality which, like a nebulous astral intermediate step, surrounds it

That is the chief task of the sublime servant Celeine

At the same time Celeine always grants, at the needful time, her radiation to any one of the high animistic servants who draws near to her with his radiation for the release of some mission from O-dio-nar

A part of these fulfilments takes place likewise in the time of the full moon, but at the same time for a part of the fulfilments the High animistic servants need, on the contrary, the period of the new moon, when the passive radiation of Celeine grants her planet fully for a strong radiation to the earth

In this respect it might be said that the material body of the moon is a kind of guest-house for the other High animistic servants, who use its nearness to the earth for the transferring of their powers

This bridging of powers is used in the spring months by Siphe, who at the spring full moons calls together her servants and distributes to them, together with her power, also the tidings of which of the plants are to have the blessing that year, of which there will be an abundance, of which fewer, and what power and fragrance will work in them in that year

Often she also holds in her hands the message of the sublime Herfeline, who through Siphe lays into certain plants in a given year more healing power than is the case in other years

This is wont to be bound up with the wise knowledge of which of all the miniature beings Haerthemis wishes to release from their hiding-places in that year

All this is known beforehand, and to this end everything needful is already being made ready in preparation, so that all men need not be exposed without defence to the radiation which Haerthemis sends to the earth across the planet of Hareiars, which is known to men as Mars

Of this planet too there will one day be spoken, and it will be shown as a peculiar bridge which leads to the earth the radiation from Hareiars, so that with his assailing pressure he may strike everything unhealthy and weak

Men should know that whenever that planet of Hareiars draws nearer to the earth, then in the near time thereafter, with a certain delay, a heavy period will come upon the earth

But now let us return to the servant Celeine and to her working

Across the body of the moon there work many powers of the animistic servants, of which the men of today's time know nothing

If they knew and recognised it at least a little, then they would honour Celeine and would look up to her quite otherwise than is the case today, when they regard her material body of the moon as interesting only because for them it is the nearest extraterrestrial body in the universe

They even seek to conquer and to occupy it, to settle and to colonise it

And yet they do not know that the animistic powers working upon the moon would necessarily bring upon man a state of unbearable pressure, in which, upon a longer exposure of his kind of earthly body and above all of the brain, he would lose his reason and would flee, without ever wishing to return again

Man regards himself as the lord and ruler of the material world, but of the real happenings around him and even of those which take place within himself he knows nothing, and therefore he often acts like a complete stray deprived of all his sanity

The ancient peoples, through their animistic helpers, knew far more of these powers, and therefore they subordinated their activity to the cycles of the surrounding planets and above all to the cycle of the nearest body, which is in the care of the servant Celeine

They knew, for example, that with the glorious Celeine both the servants of Neptune, Okeanos and Poseidon, are in a certain sense in love

Both of them therefore, in the time when they may draw nearer to Celeine, permit to the element of water quite peculiar manifestations, and if in that time men ask them for help they are extraordinarily obliging and bring it about that the water in the oceans begins to work for man with its power

It carries, for example, the ships of purely petitioning seafarers more swiftly to their goal, it brings to the surface greater catches of fish, or in that time more pearl-bearing shells may be found directly upon the shores of the seas

Also fragments of shining amber are found upon the coasts of the seas, always after the time of the full moon, in a much greater quantity

Thus it is also with still other gifts of the seas, which are brought forth by Okeanos and Poseidon not primarily for men, but for the showing forth of their admiration towards Celeine

The ancient peoples also knew that in an exact position of the moon Orkanos can work with the material of matter, and that this becomes in the end wholly without weight and it is possible to move it as though it were of papyrus, and this even were it a matter of the heaviest granite blocks

Upon still many and many further pictures it could be shown how greatly the existence and the work of man upon earth are bound up with the working of Celeine, who, in that she is passive, is able to bring much into movement

Also the body of the moon itself, in spite of its seeming outward lifelessness, is upon the finer planes of the materialities greatly inhabited

Thus, for example, Celeine maintains the guest-house entrusted to her for many fine beings who help and serve her, and among other things she also grants here the needful intermediate place to many of the Alphar, when they need to withdraw from Erda, or rather from men

It is precisely the Alphar, the small ones and also the larger, whom men with intuitive abilities beheld and behold upon the body of the moon, who often in their fantasising thought that these were some moon-dwellers similar to men, and yet peculiarly other

In the fantasy of men there arose so much that is confusing and distorting about the moon in the nearness of Erda, that it is only very difficult now to write anything which describes the real state

If men were permitted really to behold the animistic Celeine, who appears most gloriously in her flowing white garments, then they would wholly change their views upon the happenings on the moon and would more easily accept the new understanding of the sublime task of this servant

Her being has a fine, nebulous appearance, and through the fine transparent body there shines a white light which seems to opalesce at all the places of her outward features

Her long silvery-white hair also has a wholly peculiar appearance, being like a fine, waving radiation of light

The figure of Celeine bears within itself a peculiar fluid of light which hovers around her and also pervades her

She may be beheld as her figure rises fluidly out of the material body of the moon, or she also appears standing upon the crescent of the waning or of the waxing disc of the light of the moon

Now and then, at the full moon, men may succeed in beholding the countenance of the sublime Celeine in the round outline of light

It is, however, not to be confused with the forms of the furrowing of the craters rising upon the illumined surface of the body, whereby these patches form, seen from the earth, figures that stir the fantasy

The picture which is here described rises up for man only under peculiar circumstances, when on the contrary his sight needs rather to be unfocused, so that it may permit a seeing of another kind of visual perceiving

It was precisely the beauty of her fine appearance that was a part of the great plan, whereby, for the conceit and the self-overestimation of the then strongest inhabitants of the earth, the Erarians and the Armani, Atlantis, already wholly turned away from the Light and thereby corrupted, was to fall
