With a bright, refreshing light there shines the planet which belongs to the servant of purity Astarte

Its place was from the beginning so appointed that here in the universe it should through its nearness always be within reach of the earth

It may be said that together with Erda she is a certain companion in the common service of mediating a very important radiation for the life of the human spirits here in this part of the universe

The place where it circles was chosen at the behest of O-dio-nar by the servant Hermetes, because its gleam is to be a lasting reminder to earthly womanhood, so that this may draw for its fulfilling life the radiation of the Light and of Purity

Astarte works through the planet which men know today as Venus

The servant Astarte is connected with this planet by a radiation descending downwards through the planes of the work of Creation from the highest gardens of Purity in the primordially spiritual planes

The Gardens of the Pure Lily are the place where Astarte too, as a servant in the primordially spiritual, serves in one of the temples whose service is appointed for the strengthening of the principle of pure womanhood in all the planes of the work of Creation

The service of the faithful Astarte is permeated with a delicate, lasting strengthening of all that, in the kind of the open receiving of the pure streaming from above, works into the further planes which lie at greater distances from the starting-point of the Light

This principle is a picture of the pouring over of the pure streams, which may be likened to the ever lower overflowing tiers of a terraced fountain of water

It is a weaving of the refreshing confluence of living streams of brightness and of translucency, which touch strengtheningly all that makes it possible for them to enter

Together with this streaming and weaving of the radiation of Purity there descends a quiet sounding of glorious tones, which strongly touch the inner being of every woman who has not yet lost her gift of the fervent volition to serve the Light

Astarte bears in her name all that is needful for a pure, kindly working womanhood

She may be called the morning light of true womanhood in the sky here

And the morning star of true womanhood she truly is, for she shines in the sky like a lasting reminder of the alertness with which every woman is to bear within herself the pure connection with the Light

With this radiant star in the night sky there is at the same time connected also the servant Efredite, who weaves the rays supporting the task of earthly womanhood in its animistic kind of fulfilment

In the weaving of Efredite there is contained the strengthening of the animistic kind for the earthly woman, so that she may become the pure bearer of new life

Thus precisely over the star Astarte, through which above all the primordially created Astarte herself works, there inclines at the same time also towards the earthly woman the animistic Efredite, supporting in the purest animistic endeavour the forming of the ways towards the new generations on earth

At first glance it is a strange union of two radiations, which with earthly men may even create the impression of a contradiction, for the fulfilling of the noble task of pure womanhood on earth is of course never conditioned by motherhood

Earthly womanhood does not have its foremost task in motherhood, but in the first place it is to be the sacred bridge for the receiving of the streams of Purity, for their anchoring for life on earth

The most important part of the fulfilling of the task of pure womanhood therefore does not need the radiation of Efredite for itself, but it is the radiation from the primordially created Astarte which is to be received by every woman first of all from the heights of the Light

The union of Efredite and Astarte in the common anchoring upon the planet Astarte needs to be seen thus, that for the fulfilment of the earthly loving love of two people, which is to precede motherhood, the condition for the woman is always that inward purity which she may receive precisely through the servant Astarte from the spiritual heights

By this reversed view it is evident that for motherhood there is willed from the Light also that purity which should always be fully experienced by the woman in all the moments of life

In order that earthly motherhood may stand within the blessing of the protection of the Light, there first need to be maintained for this by every woman within her inner being the pure strengthening streams from the spiritual heights, which descend hither to these places through the mediation of Astarte

In reality it is Purity streaming from Irmingard herself out of the castle of the Grail, whence she inclines to the island of Lilies, upon which Astarte works as one of the host of servants

And this radiation prepares the way for the uplifting of all earthly life through the mediation of purely receiving womanhood

Only after that comes the task of Efredite, who through her share of the animistic radiation directs everything on earth towards the maintenance of the race in the continuation of the generations

Thus there is to stand before the gaze of the woman the right primal image which the Creator bestowed upon earthly mankind when He made it possible to experience the pure love between man and woman, that love which leads from the first spiritual accord of two people gradually and thereafter to their earthly drawing together and union

And for this first spiritual accord the planet Astarte stands precisely near the earth, so that that harmony may be supported in which the supporting radiation of Efredite, which fans the fervent love between man and woman, is preceded by the pure high spiritual radiation of Astarte, so that this love on the part of the woman may always be cherished in the highest purity of her intuitive perceptions

To these pure intuitive perceptions of the woman there is then to join itself also the knightly strength of the pure motives of the man, so that thereafter all that is needful for the beginning of the earthly motherhood of the woman may be fulfilled

Precisely for the maintaining of the purity of motherhood it is needful to bring the high supporting streams of spiritual purity from the primordially spiritual heights of Creation, which form the way for the subsequent working of Efredite

The high intuitive perceptions and the inward vibrations of pure joy of the woman who awaits a child are exceedingly important for the bringing of luminous spirits to this earth, for the purity of the intuitive perceptions forms the bridge for the spiritual homogeneity of the soul which is drawn to the forming little body of the child in the womb of the earthly mother

And therefore there is here this union of two streams of forces, which spins the flow of the threads that follow in their several degrees the two parts of the task of earthly womanhood

The one part is the receiving of the pure spiritual streams of the Light for the whole uplifting of life on earth through the mediation of womanhood become luminous

In this the spiritual task of the woman is entirely independent and free of all else

The second part is then the earthly motherhood of the woman, which is given precisely to her, for together with the receiving of the pure streams she has all that is needful for that glorious fulfilment of the task which was laid into her hands by the Creator

And precisely this second part is provided for by Efredite with her strengthening radiation of the animistic kind

In order that this motherhood may unfold in the purest motives, Efredite needs continually to join to her animistic part the streaming of the spiritual kind which Astarte brings

Only in this union is the supporting radiation fulfilled for the earthly woman which can uplift her to the earnest task of motherhood

This holds good here on earth only for the spiritual kind

For all that is animistic in the animal kingdom there holds good independently the radiation woven purely by Efredite alone

Thus for the animistic which is found on earth in the world of the animals Efredite works entirely independently, for to this end she is endowed with all that is needful in order to support in the animistic the working processes which lead to the fulfilment of the instinct of propagation

Only in the case of the human fulfilment, which otherwise in its principle of begetting is the same as in the animal kingdom, there are always to be present the higher intuitive perceptions which uplift all that is earthly into the plane of the spiritually loving drawing together of two people

The one who determines this height is above all the woman, for it is she who decides how pure and how sublime her relation with the man will be

In this matter she is equipped by the Creator with the ability of her intuitive perceiving, and in this she is stronger than the man, who will always joyfully follow her, provided that she first, in her alertness, carefully weighs her drawing near to the corresponding counterpart

In this the woman is to be the quiet one who determines, who decides which of the men shall draw near to her

In this she has as her armour and her strengthening the radiation from Astarte and from Efredite, which help her and support her in her strong task of holding purity and sublimity in these matters on earth

It is purity and grace which today need just as strongly to be reborn in her and to give her back the dignity which she had in the beginning, but which under the influence of Lucifer's urging she laid aside in the supposition that it would always be better for her and for her offspring if she followed above all the wealth and the influence of the man

Thereby she turned her pure gift into a curse, for she thus severed herself from the radiation of Astarte, and the isolated radiation of Efredite supporting propagation she then twisted into desire, which she needed to evoke in those men who in the earthly world stood in her eyes through their strength in predominance over the others

Under the pressure of Lucifer the purely earthly striving came into predominance over the spiritual, because this appeared to men as desirable for their short time of earthly life

Thus the condition of spiritual noble homogeneity was entirely distorted, and everything, instead of striving upwards, began to sink into baseness

The spiritual yielded ever more to all that was more successful in an earthly way, which, however, at the same time under Lucifer's temptation used for this success a way that stood at variance with honourableness in all dealings

Coarse rudeness and calculating cunning entirely outweighed with the men the knightliness and the nobility of character, because they were the more sought after by those who in their immaturity craved to become the rulers on earth

And these rulers, often very immature and dishonourable men, who with the help of Lucifer's satellites gained earthly power and earthly success, were sought out by the women for the securing of offspring, without regard to their strong deviation from the spiritual direction towards the Light

Instead of rejecting all the base and cunning dealings of the men, the woman accepted them, because in this she saw advantages for herself and for her offspring, which was to issue from such a union

The woman turned the rudder of her gift downwards to the earth and thereby in the end cut herself off from her own strength

At last she fell from the royal throne of the servant of spiritual purity into the role of a maid and a serving-girl subjected to the wishes of the man

In the earthly the man will always surpass the woman, and thus there was gradually reversed also the original ordering appointed by the Creator, and the man with his coarse strength set himself in all things above the woman, who for him became above all only an instrument for the maintenance of the race

Yet in fact thereby the wish of the woman was fulfilled, who let herself be deluded by the crafty serpent and by his persuasion that the most precious thing which a woman can experience on earth is motherhood

The radiation coming from the planet Astarte lost the connection into the sublimity of the primordially spiritual gardens of Purity and became for earthly mankind for a long time only a symbol of a purely gross material union in the earthly conception of bodily desirous sensuality

Unlike the brighter radiation of Astarte, which womanhood on earth abandoned, the radiation coming from the animistic Efredite remained here and was ever more dragged down and glorified by men in a manner which originally was to belong only to the animal kind in its purely fulfilled instinct of propagation

This led at last to the despair of Efredite herself, who at the beginning of earthly mankind was still permitted to rejoice in the fineness and the spirituality in which her radiation was raised up by womanhood itself, which heeded the high radiation of the Purity of Astarte

In pain she remembered Holda and the ancient pure servants who at the very beginning of mankind held fast for themselves the connection with Astarte

In horror at the dreadful fall of gross material womanhood and at the loss of the beautiful radiation of the Light, which refreshed even herself, this delicate servant begged for help from Astarte and also from her animistic mother Herferide, that an intervention might be made against the disposition of earthly men, who set even her herself into the impure stream of their thoughts

But the influence of Lucifer upon the earthly woman was at that time too strong, and the direction which had been set slid the values of men ever lower, until at last, through their succumbing to the instinct of propagation, all that stood around it was dragged down beneath the level of the animals

In all that accompanied mankind through life there burned the craving for power and for the earthly seizing of the woman by the man in the fulfilment of that longing to which Efredite was bound as the bearer of love

No matter in what order this stood, it always became at last a part of almost every conversation of men

Earthly womanhood added to this also the cares for the children and for the family, which became a burden greater than she could often bear

This, however, was only because into this manner of life for the greatest part all women flung themselves, for they supposed that only thus would they go rightly through life, if they gave themselves to a man and founded a family

All the radiation of the planet Astarte was sought out as the confirmation of the best support for this manner of life of woman and man

The conception of a fulfilment of the task of the woman otherwise than through an earthly life for the man and for the offspring appeared gradually as something torn out of naturalness, however much the radiation of Astarte called to the woman for the liberation from the fetters thus set

The devotion to the spiritual manner, the free-mindedness in the seeking of the higher pure mission of womanhood and above all a woman without offspring, this was depicted by the majority of the inhabitants here as a grave failure of the woman in her “sacred mission”, as it was presented by all, including the expositions in the churches

No one sought behind this the pressure of the impure hand of Lucifer, who, delighted at the fall of the woman into the trap he had set, thus avenged himself upon the Light and distorted the bright and passable ways originally appointed by the Creator for the human spirits in the Subsequent Creation

Out of the Light, however, there was patiently woven a radiation in whose predestination there lies at last the victory for earthly womanhood

Astarte and Efredite work from the heights into which they temporarily withdrew, and their weaving passes over the ever stronger radiant gleam of the small planet in the neighbourhood of Erda

At last, after the great cleansing battles, there will awaken again in womanhood on earth that longing for the cleansing of the great jewel which in the beginning the Will of the Creator laid into the spiritual spark of the woman

There will again be recognised the weaving of the pure streams which descend to the earth over the radiation of the planet Astarte

From the heights of the Primordial Creation there descends an ever more urgent call to earthly womanhood

It is the delicate sounding of the song of purity which descends to the materialities from the halls of purity on the island of Lilies

Astarte, again after a long time, is permitted under the protection of the Ray of Parzival to draw near to the awakened earthly women who long for the pure fulfilment of their mission, which lies in the weaving of the threads of Light for this world

An ever greater host of luminous women seeks the answer to the quiet sounding within their inner being, which rings like little bells bearing the sound of joyful pure tones

It is the call of Astarte, who in the strengthening from Irmingard now draws near to the earth, in order to touch the inner being of the women who have not yet entirely lost the precious gift of the Creator

Therefore there shines so brightly that clear star which rises as the first in the night sky and also as the last vanishes in the paling morning gleam, when the fiery team of the disc of Apollo is already drawing near

In the last time every woman may observe how the trembling of the gleam of this star above the horizon speaks to her inner being in a quiet strengthening towards the true service of pure womanhood

Blissful intuitive perceptions permeate the inner being of the women who perceive ever more clearly their important task here on earth

In the fulfilment of this task these women can at last raise up also the purely animistic task of Efredite and thus give back to her working the radiance and the lustre which it bore within itself at the beginning of mankind on earth

All can be returned back into that height to which it has belonged from the beginning of the arising of the materialities

High above earthly womanhood there hovers that step from which the woman, in her pure grace and in her renewed modesty, is to work as a servant of the Light and of Purity on earth

The coming time, however, will bring an acceleration of many happenings, and womanhood will ripen into its original task swiftly and without too much delay

At the beginning it will be painful, for it is not easy to free oneself from the enslaving pressure of Lucifer's influence, but it will go forward ever more easily and more swiftly

The renewed grace of womanhood will unfold as a bright gleam of Purity above this earth and will bring a free, liberating breath to many women

In joyful awakening the man too will follow this reborn graceful womanhood, for he will recognise that only under this stream of purity can he himself also rouse himself to the true knightliness which he has lacked for so long

A new Light rises above the horizon every evening, when the radiance of Astarte appears as the first shining star in the sky

Every evening thus announces the coming of a new being of mankind on this earth

The time is here for the woman to look into the bright Light which descends to her from the delicately radiant planet Astarte
