How to Receive the Happening Above the World Here

In the universe the chasm which has hitherto gaped between this earthly world and all the other parts of the work of Creation is beginning to close

Despite the continuing baneful striving of mankind, this happening fulfils itself as an important part of the development in this section of the Subsequent Creation

The chasm which was hollowed out over long millennia by the narrowly materialistic direction of the life of men upon Earth is to be closed, so that the full blessing of the Light can again stream to this Earth

For millennia men have worked to sever this world from the harmony of the work of Creation, and they then made for themselves upon Earth their own rules, which under the evil allurement of the darkness moved ever more swiftly away from the Laws of God

Thereby there was finally created that severance which showed itself every time some envoy of the Light came into this world, and also then, when the Son of God and the Son of Man stepped upon Earth

The chasm gaped like a wound separating the life of men upon Earth from the Light of God's activity

And in the earthly ordering of conditions there were formed all those laws which were to serve only those who resolved to set the material world above the purity of the spirit and who thereby at the same time became vassals of the darkness

Woe to him who sought to bridge this chasm between the earthly world and the luminous parts of the work of Creation

At once he was persecuted, and everything was done to restrict him in his earthly activity for luminous values and to render him incapable of bringing more Light to this Earth

In the case of both Sons of God that attunement of the conditions here, turned away from the Light, showed itself against their earthly coverings with the utmost force

At the moment when the earthly path of the Sons of God reached the taking up of the helping task for all men, the severance of men immediately formed itself each time into an unceasing persecution of both Sons, until by the force of earthly power it compelled the divinely unsubstantiate radiation anchored in the body to leave this gross material plane

Thus it had to remain at the very edge of the possible preservation of this Earth

Only upon the threads of the animistic did this part of the universe hang for a long time, like an almost severed part of the Tree of Life

The spiritual was encircled by the darkness, and all attention was fixed upon crippling everyone in whom the slightest striving awakened to bridge that ditch which had been made

But this is now changing, for, guided by the Wisdom of God, the time has come for the healing of the wound still open in this section of the Subsequent Creation

And this closing, this healing in the spiritual sense, comes through the flood of Light which draws near to the Earth in the Ray of Parzival

The Eye of God the Father looks down from the heights in the lustre of blinding Light upon this happening, which follows His Will

The fulfilment for this small part of the materialities has come, and now the lasting wound will close under the activity of the luminous hosts, out of which a wall of Light is formed that advances ever closer to the Earth

The fulfilment comes from above downwards

It is therefore not a work accomplished voluntarily on the part of men, who should themselves have striven with all their strength to fill up the hollowed chasm through a healing, restoring multiplication of their purest volition

Only thus would it be right, because therein the natural path of blessing would be at work, blessing which could then come from the heights to this Earth

But this does not happen, for through complete exhaustion from stumbling along wrong paths everything human-spiritual upon Earth already lacks the capacity to raise itself upwards with a clear direction towards the Light and in a truthful knowledge of the Will of God

From the Earth upwards there rise only few luminous threads which bear within them the manifestation of an enduring volition to raise the Earth closer to the higher streams that bear more strongly the effects of the Laws of the Will of God, which work with blessing in all the luminous planes of the work of Creation

Neither is there here a sufficient joyful stepping forth to meet this approach, as it should rightly be

It is above all only the struggle for themselves which still compels some not to give up the flickerings of the flame of their spiritual spark

The spiritual trembles within the inner being of many men, but it has no strength for a flight upwards

None of men has yet been granted sufficient courage for that truly purest fervent volition which bears within it, in all-embracing enthusiasm, the longing call “More Light”

Rightly it should be men who, for the compensation of all their guilt, would in this time strive with a thousandfold multiplied endeavour to restore the destroyed threads connecting them with the Light

But so it is not as yet, and therefore there is that incomprehensible gracious help of God the Father, who sends the Light in the form of the Ray of Parzival and of the hosts of His faithful luminous servants from the spiritual and animistic planes, whereby He now brings over this Earth happenings which may be called loving help and stern judgment at one and the same time

The happening which approaches is the extending of a helping hand to straying mankind as a whole, and it is also a grave summons to a turning for each individual man upon his path through the Subsequent Creation in the section of Ephesus

Above the horizon the Light shines like the morning of the resurrection, and at the same time through its nearness it already begins to strike everything which does not stand firm in its demand for purity and for the natural mobility of all creatures

Thus all-embracingly are the channels being built from the Light which are now to bring about the renewed connection of the life upon this Earth with the other parts of the work of Creation

The actual shaping of the happenings will then take many forms which will hardly correspond to the conceptions of those who await changes in life

Everything will be far simpler, because it will unfold above all from the inner being outwards in every man

Nor is the coming happening that which some men who believe in God expect in their naive distortion, namely that everything, earthly men included, will now be automatically raised upwards in the Love of God towards a better existence

But in the clear insight even of earthly men themselves it must become apparent that against such an opinion there stand, with sharp effects, the Laws of Creation, if these are to be accepted as incorruptibly Just for all creatures

Where the soil within man is not prepared, the approaching happening cannot work benignly, as is generally supposed among those who profess the most varied religious communities

Where there is lacking in man at the same time the most fervent pure striving in the fulfilling of the human-spiritual expression towards his fellow men and towards all creatures in nature, and also in the small things of every day, there all conceptions about the Love of God rest upon a wrong attitude of man towards God

Belief in Christ, taken as a sufficient warrant for God's forbearance, regardless of how these men think and act towards their fellow men in daily life, is a self-deception which stands in sharp contradiction to the just settlement of all the threads in human doings

Anything of the kind the Laws of Creation do not permit

In this respect the folly of many believers is on the way to a heavy collision with the happening which is coming

To receive Christ surely means in the first place to penetrate rightly into the Word which He brought, to make it wholly one's own and to live enduringly according to it

The same, however, holds good of the Word of Truth of the Son of Man in His Grail Message, brought once again to this earthly world

The penetration into the Message of God shows itself in the human spirit as a complete transformation in his approach to life

But such a transformation, with everything belonging to it as the visible manifestation of a new approach to life, has in reality been accomplished by none of men

There is still lacking for this a portion of the necessary enthusiasm which would bring that indispensable portion of willingness to give to other men wholly unconditionally one's kindliness and one's creative will for a harmony vibrating in accord with the Light

The enthusiasm for this step needs to blaze up in the spirit and then to penetrate from the inner being outwards, without being weakened in its radiance or even halted by the thought-obstacles of the intellect, or perhaps by some ingrained weakness, among which belongs for instance the preferring of oneself wherever man decides some question of advantage between himself and other men

Such a thing he then needs to be able to confirm every day, every hour, indeed in every moment, for only thus does he prove that his spirit has grasped the principle of life in the luminous heights, where those dwell who have laid aside all their guilt and were permitted to enter the spiritual home

To this state of attunement of spiritual enthusiasm he needs to ripen within himself through knowledge and through the free acceptance of the true principle of life

Battle and struggle in this, however valuable they may be, are yet always only a sign of insufficient radiance of the spiritual spark in man, a spark which lacks the necessary inner will towards maturity

Only there, where man lives the attunement mentioned enduringly, where in free volition he strives to be such as human life should look according to the Words of Christ and the Grail Message, only there can one speak of a complete transformation and of a stepping out towards ascent

And the approaching luminous wall formed of the hosts of luminous heroes surrounding their King Parzival in His Ray requires of mankind a reception only in this pure kind of volition

Everything will be otherwise, which will soon show itself in the intensified perception of many earthly men as an awakening in the inner being through the pressure of conscience

The chasm gaping threateningly between the earthly world and the other parts of the glorious work of Creation will in the near future be joined again in the fulfilment of the promise of liberation for all those who in pure and fervent volition seek the Creator and His All-Wise Will

It will not, however, be to the jubilant joy of mankind, as it rightly should be, for in a pure spiritual striving for lofty values such help from the Light should be nothing but welcome to men, because it would be perceived as a life-giving strengthening of the effort expended in that upward direction

Yet from anything of the sort the majority of men are sadly, by their whole disposition, far removed

That is also precisely why that deep chasm gapes between the world of earthly men here and all the planes of the work of Creation which the Light fills with its radiance

And that is also why even now, shortly before the approaching arrival of the Ray of Parzival into the nearness of the Earth, mankind as a whole remains wholly forsaken by all the loving helping threads from the Light

Therefore there is here, in the spiritual sense, fog and darkness, although after millennia of its activity upon this Earth mankind should have stood at its spiritual summit, in order to welcome joyfully the upward shifting of the universe in the opening of a new prospect after the promised turning of the worlds

The Light should always have been welcomed by men in their spiritual nature, for the Light means Life for the human spirit

In the Light there is contained, for every spiritual spark out of which man unfolds into the shining flame of his spirit, a streaming which in the fulfilment of the Law of Homogeneity should be the most strongly resonating and the most powerfully attracting magnet

In the Light there dwells the nobility of all the virtues which can always enrich the human spirit and give him much that is new upon his path

Therefore men should welcome the Light in a joyful, inwardly stirred trembling, for to every pure creature it brings nothing but strengthening and support

It should be a festival of the spirit when it is at last uttered with plain certainty that in the Ray of Parzival there comes to this Earth “More Light”

Only the purest raiment of the soul and the most solemn sanctity should permeate the inner being of every man who wishes to bear henceforth the designation of a luminous human spirit

What the state of the human spirit is in its great majority can be recognised by everyone who only looks about at society today

The joining of this earthly plane of existence, in which men find themselves in bodies, will bring above all a pressure which will be felt as inner unrest and confusion, leading in many men to rash deeds which they themselves cannot even imagine today

The first waves of this have already arrived, and in their effect they resemble a great sieve of God, which sifts out which of men will have their place upon this Earth for the further time of the happening

In the fulfilling of the Will of God this work is entrusted to the animistic activity of the exalted Aesir, of the Vaenen and of the Alphar, who in the streaming of heightened power spin with accelerated speed the threads radiated out from the volition of men

The sieve repeatedly recedes and draws near, and it can still be called only the announcement of the development to come

This will happen through the effect of the narrowing of that gaping chasm which has hitherto separated earthly men from a direct and enduring connection with the higher streams of Creation

The streams of radiant Light sent out from the planes directly above coarse matter will bring within them an intensification of the pressure of the Laws of God upon all men

Those who are inwardly pure and who in the wakefulness of their spirit act in their lives only gently, sincerely and creatively with others are at least in part inwardly prepared for the approaching connection, which at its beginning will bring a literal irruption of the luminous Power upon Earth

Nevertheless the happening will bring an unexpected shock for everyone, for there is not upon this Earth a single man who would be prepared to bear this Power as everything spiritual within him should rightly bear it in receiving

Instead of a joyful absorption of the luminous Power mentioned, it will at first bring a pressure which will be almost beyond bearing even for those who are otherwise good

But those men who have within themselves a sincere longing for God's nearness, a longing which then lives not only in their words and thoughts but also blazes under all circumstances as the pure brightness of spiritual will, these will swiftly grow accustomed to it and will in the end also be permitted to rejoice at the closing of that separating chasm, just as would have been the case from the very first moment had they been truly prepared for it

But because men rather resemble those heedless virgins mentioned in the parable, who forget to replenish the oil and take no care at all to keep their whole lamp in purity, the pressure of the Light will in their case too show itself at first in its effect as too strong in their lives

The Light that has broken into their lives will bring a mighty demand for the accelerated release of all guilt and for the laying aside of weaknesses

With a striving for the pure fulfilment of the task of the human-spiritual race in the materialities the approaching happening could only have been joyfully welcomed

Although under the conditions of an enduring striving of men towards the Light, which would show itself in our acting only joyfully and creatively towards all other life, the very first influx of the intensified Light would have brought an elevation reaching to blessedness, in the present state of all men it will first bring a grave shaking of everything existing

Yet this very shaking will in its own way be liberating, for it will tear away the last dross clinging to many souls which no longer had the strength of themselves to become free and to advance upwards

Despite the initial pressure and the straining pain it will perhaps yet ripen in a part of mankind into an inner elevation and a liberation from the present yoke of baseness and of deadening futility

Perhaps it will come to pass, for a part of mankind still bears within itself the shining little flame of its spirit's longing for the Light

But for this liberating strengthening to come about, all striving within man must already today be quickened, it needs to tremble in a full longing for something which is to appear as the foreboding expectation of the coming liberation from the present confusions and the growing hopelessness

Only there can the shaking take effect upon prepared soil and bring a helping intervention of a higher kind

It can also mediate an accelerated ripening of the human spirit in the understanding of the actual meaning of life upon this Earth

In the end more than one human spirit will yet attain the state in which, despite the initial shaking, an understanding for the grave happening taking place awakens within him, and he will then after all be able, in a certain reflection, to glorify the coming of the Light which makes it possible to reunite this world of men with the great harmony of the Will of God, which permeates from above downwards, one after another, all the luminous planes as far as here, into these distant regions of the Subsequent Creation

This will bring many changes, but at the same time it will be possible therein, from the very first moments, to experience a real ascent and a development in a meaningful direction for the whole earthly world

All at once there will be here an endless amount of room for the application of all men with a good will towards co-operation

It will be so because the building up will bear a freedom from the need of the individual's self-assertion in the hitherto narrow and unhealthy form of temporary advantage, but in the first place there will be among men the knowledge of building up the world here for the purified cycle of souls who will still be permitted to return to this world, and this not only for the unravelling of past threads but also for the opportunity of an accelerated ripening and of the experiencing of ascent in their awakened pure humanity

The awareness of the possibility of ascent here upon this Earth for the further path upwards through the planes of the Subsequent Creation as far as the gates of the spiritual home will bring to awakening a multitude of hidden powers which will unfold in the recognition of the glory that rests therein as the Creator's gift of a possible eternal existence for those who unite themselves with the living flowing of the harmony of the work of Creation

All this, together with the influx of the bright sounding of purity, is contained in the happening which now draws near in order to bring the joining of the earthly world of men, still so desperately severed, with the other parts of the great work of the Creator

But it is already drawing near, and it bears within it the promise of a new refreshing of strength for all who have not yet wholly let the radiance of the spiritual spark be extinguished within them

Despite the initial heavy shocks it will bring an awakening and a rousing of the powers of the spirit which under the pressure of the intellect had to sleep blasphemously, for they awaken only in the moment when man lives by the free decision to give from himself to other men and to the creatures in nature, unconditionally, only the best and the purest for their help and joy

Only in such a case can there come a rousing of powers of an unprecedented kind, when the abilities laid down in the spiritual gifts come alive and before the man thus awakened there begins to unfold a direction which leads him forward in a manner almost of fairy tale, such as he has never known before

Then, with fervent thanks upon his lips, he will after all sink to his knees and glorify Him who sent him all this for his rescue and for his strengthening for the true, real life

That he could have experienced this earlier, at any time before, many a man will not, however, become aware of

And yet it always lies solely in his hands in what direction he sets his volition, whether he prefers that pure spiritual, loving, creating giving to the materially limited manner of experiencing his earthly time, a manner which we may call a foolish squandering of graciously granted precious time

And it is precisely this turning of the lights in his striving that makes it possible for every one of men in this time to stand at the necessary degree of attunement which best equips him for the near moments when there reach the Earth, into coarse materiality, the wholly plainly perceptible manifestations of the radiation of the Ray of Parzival

If therefore man achieves this today already, in an inner rebirth, then he can look with full trust towards the time to come, for it will bring him only the confirmation of his right decision and will add to the visible striving he already shows a precious blessing from the Light

“More Light” is therefore to be not only an inner call for the Light itself and for its coming upon Earth, but it is to be an inner joining of oneself to all those other men who have already today roused themselves to the grave step of going forth to meet the approaching happening of great transformations upon Earth
