Many people live permanently in the conviction that the greatest part of the things in their life are given for them and thereby unchangeable

They are convinced that however much they might strive, the unchangeableness of certain conditions occurring in their life is so firm that on their part it cannot be moved in any way

They take it that nothing can be done to bring about for them even the smallest advance further in their development

They expect that if they are permitted to advance further, it will only be when the surrounding conditions are transformed for them by their leaving this world and passing over into the finer planes of Creation

Thereby many rob themselves of precious forces which are permanently present in their spiritual core and which they also have at hand for the time of their present life here on earth

That is a great pity, for the life of an individual could gradually become other than it is, and the whole world too could already today look entirely different

It is always possible for every human being to change many things towards a better, nobler and also fully spiritualised life already here on earth

The notion of the unchangeableness of things concerns not only the fate wrongly understood by man as unfolding from the stars at the time of his birth, thus astrology, but it concerns the whole manner of the thinking of men today

Men today do not believe in the possibility of any greater changes for the better in their life

They have let themselves be bound too tightly by their intellectual view of the material world, and along with it have accepted narrow material limits to the happenings, which from their standpoint cannot be changed

This concerns not only great changes in society, but also the smallest everyday things that accompany every human being

And yet almost everything can be changed

A whole life can be changed

From the manner of conduct, through the ordering of daily life, nourishment, one's own work and activity, all this can be changed, if only man truly strives for the change

Above all, these changes concern the relations between people on all the planes of their life

Into everything among men it is possible to bring the vibrations of a pure manner of conduct, if only men earnestly will to do so

From the smallest trifles up to the greatest changes in the outward world, everything can be moved further towards a more radiant manifestation of life

For many people the very idea of such changes amounts to a miracle

In the work of Creation, however, the miraculous quality of the happenings is a natural part of all transformations and of all development

Where there is a pure will to change, there may enter in those happenings which men call miracles

Whether it be personal life, family, friends or working conditions, all this can gradually be changed for the better, if only a pure and fervent will to change reigns in the spirit that strives for it

Besides this there is yet a whole range of other things today seemingly unchangeable, concerning matter itself, which still stand entirely outside the present understanding of men

By this is meant not only healing from incurable illnesses, but it concerns also the great working of the world of nature, in which the animistic servants labour

It could work almost like a fairy tale in a man's life, if with his pure will he truly strengthened it and did not fear changes of life on this earth, using for it his pure will, with which it is given to him to recognise the Laws of Creation

It is astonishing how long is the list of things about which the belief in unchangeableness reigns in men, although in reality it is nowhere laid down that these things cannot be changed

In many such matters today's scientific knowledge sets itself as an obstacle, in that precisely in the physical laws so far recognised by science there are firmly given limits

That, however, is only a temporary state, which will swiftly be moved further as soon as the enlightenment of mankind on earth promised by the Light comes

Until now many a person has been broken, on the basis of present scientific evidence, in his confidence in the possibility of achieving changes in some matter which, from the standpoint of the animistic weaving, and thus from the standpoint of a higher application of the Laws of Creation, would after all in the end be possible

That many people thereby bring about within themselves beforehand a constricting of the forces of their spirit and draw needless obstacles into their life, which however are often only inward walls, about that hardly anyone among men reflects

From this there emerges, among other things, the confirmation of how little confidence men have in the Wise Laws of God, and moreover how little they know the power of the will of their own spirit, which is at hand among their possibilities if they are free in the threads of fate

The humanly spiritual species is in reality endowed with truly great abilities, hitherto unrecognised, for the shaping of significant changes within itself and upon itself outwardly

This holds of course also for gross materiality, in which many things are naturally granted by the Creator to be influenced by the will of the human spirit

In these things, therefore, there may come about even surprising changes, which can be influenced and thereby changed by the will of a spirit that is inwardly pure and free

Here, however, it is needful to lay stress upon those words – a free spirit

Therein lies the condition for making possible the above-mentioned changes in a man's life and also in the outward space in which he finds himself

At the same time there also lies in it the answer to why men today for the most part do not succeed in attaining changes, however much many of them strive for something of the kind

The condition for the full working power needed for great changes is that the spirit be free

Free is only that spirit which in every respect vibrates purely in accord with the whole of the work of Creation, for only thus can it also be freed from all past threads of fate

Free in spirit is therefore only that man who is no longer burdened with threads of fate, and thus is no longer in any way weighed down and dragged by them against his will in the experiencing of their effects, in which all his past wrong decisions and deeds must for a long time return to him for redemption, not only in this life but also in ages long since forgotten by him

The returning threads from past ages reach into all new wishes and thereby alter their outcome

This changes at the moment when everything has been redeemed and the spirit is in every respect free again

Of such people, however, there have never yet been many on earth

But there are of course also people striving towards freedom

These can and should wage an honest struggle for their own freedom in reaching the end of the redeeming of much that is past

If they hold out, that moment will surely come

In their striving much help is also granted to them from all the animistic and spiritual helpers who accompany them on their path through Subsequent Creation

Men striving to attain spiritual freedom are going in the right direction, and it is needful only that they persevere

Their nearness to changes is always in direct proportion to the genuineness of their striving to attain the state of freedom of their spirit

A free spirit thereby always stands on its own account already and has before it the prospect of great working and creating on its path

It is therefore no longer bound by any backward pull of the threads which more or less still hold back on their path to the Light those who are striving for freedom

It is also a condition, however, that such a spirit be sufficiently mature within, so that its will may permanently sound in harmony with the Laws in the work of Creation

Maturity is bound up with the ability to intuitively perceive all happenings rightly

Above all, maturity is bound up with man's right vibrating in the moment of the present

This, however, comes about hand in hand with the spirit's freeing of itself, for only he who fits himself into the Laws of Creation can in the end become wholly free

That is because in his decisions he then does nothing that would call forth the necessity for the arising of threads of fate which would bind him back again

Only to such a spirit is it then made possible by the Laws of Creation to bring about through its will happenings with whose resulting manifestations mankind today has as yet no experience

Therewith the condition must always remain fulfilled that although such a spirit works in the exercise of its free will, this will does not lack receptivity, and thereby humility and knowledge, towards the Laws that work unceasingly in the work of Creation

The boundaries of these Laws are as yet unrecognised by men

This holds also for the material world here

Man therefore needs to become free through his inward purity from all his threads of the past, and at the same time he needs to become a conscious inhabitant in the work of Creation, one who knows and thereby penetrates into all the layers of the effects of the Laws of Creation

Only then can there arise before a spirit thus truly free and mature, for whom, in co-operation with the animistic working, new great fields of his activity will gradually open, such knowledge as he previously had no inkling of

Everything will then literally play into his hands, however much it may concern discoveries which today, if described, might appear to intellectually reasoning people as naive dreaming

The compass of this working is truly great, so great that its boundaries are really not known to men now, because the man of today is unable to survey them

In many directions of human life not even one part in a hundred has yet been reached of the possibilities which were granted to him by the Wisdom of God for his working in the work of Creation

All this is made ready for mature and free spirits

Even here in the materialities the possibility of men working upon the life here, in their co-creative attunement with the animistic servants, has by no means yet been exhausted

It is because mankind as a whole, soon after immersing itself in the gross material world, strayed from the path and repeatedly misused its free will towards the animistic working only for base and thereby harmful ends

Gradually men also lost their understanding of the animistic forces, which have the first share in all happening in the work of Creation

They therefore have a share in everything that lies also within the possibilities of the material world here

It may be said that through their narrowed material attitude men have formed for themselves limits of understanding which encircle them like a thousand chalk lines that they do not dare to cross

It is not, however, that men do not dare to cross them out of fear, but because within themselves they have made them uncrossable through their own attitude of thinking

Real forces of a kingly kind had therefore to be withheld from men, and thereby life in this world gradually narrowed into unbelievably small dimensions of human outlook

These narrowed dimensions of the outlook upon life create the need for a desperate struggle for survival amid the many snares of a material cycle which man has not understood

Together with the wrong use of the original great forces of their will, human souls began to drag behind them the returning threads that bind them to a necessary redemption

This necessity of redeeming past wrong decisions drained away, and for many people still drains away today, the greater part of the forces they brought here for the time of their earthly life

Therefore the will of humanly spiritual life appears today as crippled, and thereby, over against the world of nature, as of no account

That too is precisely why men do not succeed in changing many things, for they try to use their crippled will, whereas if they first became inwardly childlike and pure, always joyfully ready to redeem all past faults, then new power for ascent would gradually begin to flow into their will

What appears today as impossible would in the end become changeable with childlike ease

Not in vain was it spoken by Jesus Himself to the disciples that if they had but a particle of that inward pure will which in the world of nature of the animistic counts as a natural part of their service to God, they as human spirits would then accomplish things almost impossible from their point of view

Their will, vibrating together with the Will of God, thus in accord with the Laws of the happenings within the bounds of the work of Creation, would through its power be able to set in motion mighty forces for the upbuilding and the ennobling of all the planes through which the human spirit may wander ever higher on the path to its spiritual home

The Son of God, to make the understanding of that time easier, spoke to His hearers of the faith which enables man to cross over what until then appeared, in the perception of inwardly unfree men, as uncrossable and thereby unchangeable

The faith of which He spoke was, as He set it before the hearers of that time, nothing other than this, that if there is in man a strong inward wish for a good and helpful outcome in some matter, and if this outcome is in accord with the Laws of God in Creation, then it is possible for man to attain this outcome

This faith concerned everything that then, as also today, reached into the life of most people

Whether it was healing, or even directly a raising from earthly death, the finding of a way out of great distress in some matter, or the gaining of strengthening for one's own inward rousing to life

All this is possible, and besides the keeping of the Laws of Creation it is further conditioned only by there being in the inner being of man a sufficiently pure longing for the Light, one which beforehand was able with a single strong decision to burn through, and thereby to burn away, the threads of all that was past and lay there binding the flight of the spirit upward

We stand at the edge of an epoch-making period in which, precisely here on earth, for an ever greater number of people their inward will, used in the purest kind of volition, will become ever more filled with a supporting power that will be able to return to them as they lay aside their former, past threads of fate

Only in this gradual liberation will the returning power come again to the human spirit, and he will then be led by the pressure of the Laws of Creation to use it rightly, so that his volition may always be creative, upbuilding, and thereby also permanently filled with inward humility before his Maker

It will be made possible for men to grow spiritually stronger through the becoming luminous and the stilling of the flame issuing from the fundamental spiritual spark

For people thus walking anew through life, who will automatically have on their side all the helps of the Light, there will then become attainable a working which today still appears wholly impossible

One of the consequences of this strengthened working of an inwardly free and mature spiritual radiation will be an earthly body many times more strongly penetrated by spiritual light

This will enable men to keep the earthly covering granted to them by the animistic servants in a living, rejuvenating current of radiation, in which the body will be permanently filled with renewing power

Throughout life the body will develop as an organism which attains an ever nobler appearance and expression through being irradiated by the spirit

Today it is known that during a man's life parts of certain organs in the body can replenish themselves, as is the case for example with the organ of the liver

It is also known that during life the appearance of the nose and of the ears changes in man, and that these can undergo changes in their size and shape precisely in the time of adulthood

In reality, however, under the influence of the radiation of the spirit all the bodily organs can develop in man to a certain extent, including the seemingly firm parts such as the bones, and those which belong to the bones that form the shape and appearance of the human head

All this is possible within the Laws of Creation, and it can serve the spirit as an imprint of the spiritual radiation into the material covering of the body

The body can be permanently ennobled by the spirit, if this really irradiates the bodily covering granted to it with its luminosity of purity and childlike joy

Already today the proportion of the individual sections in the brain in particular can also change in part, if a man's spiritual essence fully asserts itself and sets the nerves vibrating in a manner that strengthens those fundamental parts of the brain which mediate the impulses of a higher intuitive receptivity into man's day-consciousness

Today these are of course only small steps forward, taken with a certain groping by many who, in the endeavour to be truly spiritual people, strive for something of the kind

If men proceed rightly, so that the animistic servants who tend the earthly human bodies meet in this with as few obstacles as possible from an inward immobility of thought, which is precisely closely bound up with the attitude arising out of the unchangeableness of many things that men with their intellect regard as firmly given, then all this will improve together with the influx of the strengthening Light

The condition for those who now endeavour to lay aside the threads of their past paths, so as to become free through attaining purity of the inner being, is precisely an inward state of childlike trust, attuned in liveliness to the thought that through the radiation of their spiritual nobility of character absolutely everything can in the end become new

That is the fundamental beginning of the changes now setting in, which will also come soon in order to help everywhere where the ground for it is prepared in men

Of this, and of much else besides, there will be further speaking later, so that it may become at least in part comprehensible to the understanding of men today

There are many things that lie here on earth as helps long since granted to men, but all this has been forgotten, for human endeavour concentrated itself into a narrowed point which even today, for many people, lies in accepting a material understanding of existence as one single earthly life

This narrowing of the understanding, together with the intellectual manner of thinking and reasoning, has brought about the state that now reigns on earth, in which that which is in reality destined for further development, be it the human body, nature or the whole universe, is taken by material men either as fixed and unchangeable, or as changeable only through an intervention into matter

That the greatest part of things can be changed and ennobled from within outwards lies beyond the understanding of today's material manner of thinking of most people

Alas, even many people who otherwise are believers in God remain, on account of much wrong knowledge, bound in errors, and thereby make themselves unfree, for they are woven about with threads spun out of wrong interpretations and notions about God and His work of Creation

Although they believe in God, they are for the greater part unbelieving in the wondrousness of His work of Creation, for through the crooked interpretations of doctrines they have let the ability of their own living investigation be taken from them in the search for the Truth, which is always just as refreshing as it is perfect in describing all the parts of the work of Creation, without gaps, errors or deficiencies

Where the Truth is to be found, there a refreshing impetus is always present at the same time for every inwardly living and courageous human spirit

The Truth is not, and never will be, comprehensible for dogmatists, just as little as for fanatics and intellectual people, no matter whether they call themselves materialists or hold themselves to be believers

It is here only for those who are truly inwardly living and who endeavour to fit all that is set before them into pictures forming for them an ever more complete picture of God and of His work of Creation

For such there is given here an ever more widening knowledge, which among other things points to the refreshing content and not to the one who brings it

We may perceive it as a temporarily lowered bridge which comes from the direction of the Ray of Parzival, so that strengthening may be granted to all who are on earth and are inwardly living in their striving

Such a bridge today is, among other things, also the Way of the Grail, which with joy mediates all that is handed to it out of the Ray of Parzival for further use by all those who long to become truly spiritual people, prepared for the coming age of enlightenment on this earth

Everything is conditioned by liveliness and mobility

What is not in accord with the coming, ever heightening demand for a living vibrating of the humanly spiritual on earth will naturally remain aside, for it will still need other impulses for awakening, in which it will either come to life or in the end collapse

Enlightenment will come to this earth solely and only by this way

It is not possible for the beginning of a new cycle, which is granted to all life on earth by God's kindliness, to unfold otherwise than through a raising to a higher movement in everything

And precisely this higher movement will also show how many things were until now in a state of rigidity, which created the impression of unchangeableness

It will bring a movement that will shake down from the great tree of life everything which until now has remained motionlessly stuck in the past
