Gifts of Spiritual Enlightenment At Christmas Time

THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – December 23, 2024

From the Light there descends to earthly mankind a great call:

“Men, in the following of the Loving-Kindness of God always do only good to others in your life, and lead them upward to the Light by the path of your own example”

“And if you are able to do good rightly and lastingly, then do it not for your own satisfaction or to exalt yourselves above others, but solely for the Glory of God

The words resound through space as a message to the human spirit who has awakened out of a long sleep

In them there is contained a vibration of the Light of a high kind

The doing of all that is worthy of blessing is to be carried out in such a way that man does not do it for his own sake, but longs that others may find in it the one reason which drives him to it, namely that it is done by him for the Glory of God

Something of this kind now needs to blaze up into clear visibility in the greatest possible number of spiritually enlightened men

The thinking and the doing of good is to swing wholly in the spirit that all of it is brought to the light of the world in the purest longing that it may serve the glorification of the Creator

To this there now leads, step by step, the knowledge which belongs to the whole wisdom of the spiritual enlightenment

All that comes to man through an ever wider knowledge of the work of Creation is the urgently needed equipment for the possibility of a more alert penetration into the hitherto unrecognised connections of the fate of human life

The knowledge of the Creative Work is in the end to be the fundamental pedestal for a great united glorification of the All-Wisdom of God

All that surrounds the human spirit, that accompanies him upon his paths and grants him ever new strengthening for the attaining of a fully mature consciousness of himself, comes from the All-Wisdom of God

In the whole work of Creation there are nowhere any gaps, there are no empty places which would be for ever inexplicable

Nor are there any mysteries preventing the human spirit from coming to know his Creator more closely

That it could hitherto appear so, men for the most part bring upon themselves in their material narrowness

Also in that in their spiritual striving they willingly content themselves with trifles instead of soaring wholly upward to their God with the use of all the forces slumbering within them

Thereby they could come to know more of the All-Wisdom of God to be found in every particle of the great Work, and through all this they would in the end be permitted to draw near to the sacred knowledge of the Creator Himself

Then a bliss of an inexpressible degree of brightness would permeate them through their spirit being permitted to bathe in the knowledge of the Truth about the greatness and the perfection of the primordially eternal Divine Principle of Life

Instead, however, most men here on Earth remain behind in their inward intuitive perceiving of the Creator

Men are influenced from without through long-formed thought-forms that the way the world of men is ordered today is right, and that in the question of the knowledge of God and of His Will everything is already known, so that in this there can be no further progress

By this way of thinking, however, a wholly erroneous reasoning is maintained

If it were not so earnest it could be called a childish naivety

There is, however, a rigidity contained in it, and this gives reason for fear, for an ingrained rigidity becomes an impenetrable wall in the comprehension of earthly men whenever something new comes to this Earth out of the all-embracing scope of the Truth

However much men think it a sign of a firm faith in God, which He expects of men, as is mentioned in many religious writings, we may openly speak of the expression of an ever-repeated trait of pharisaism

The conception of humility which is to be found in such an attitude is held in an ossified manner, although high in the Light all this testifies solely and only to how lukewarm, and thereby how limited, the present spiritual striving here on Earth is

In reality mankind as a whole still stands upon the lowest degree of ripeness in the knowledge of God

To be upon the lowest degree, however, means to be still only at the beginning

Yet here on Earth all the knowledge of the Creator and of His work could already be much further advanced in the daily life of men

All the generally ingrained traditions and customs could long since have been overcome, which, however often they appear to man as dear and as confirming his unshakable holding to faith in God, are in reality for the most part only a hindrance in the true development of the spirit, who is continually to occupy himself with the recognition of new and thereby more comprehensive degrees of the Truth

It is a binding of oneself to something which should long since have been carried further in a newly widened recognition of the wondrousness of the whole work of Creation

Through the rigid maintaining of traditions which proceed from a naive comprehension of God, the becoming luminous now so urgently needed will never come about

Again and again man is to draw aside the curtains which still separate him from a truly free and clear view upward to the Light

Whoever sits still in a dusk flickeringly lit by candles and waits for something to happen of itself to his advantage appears as a fool who demands that the sun itself come to his comfortable armchair and shine upon his face

The Laws of Creation will not permit anything of the kind

The sun has its place in the sky, and therefore in his darkened room he will remain cut off from its refreshing and healing light

Without movement, which alone makes development possible, no man will advance further

Only because men have not occupied themselves deeply enough with the questions of their life and with all the connections bound up with their spiritual essence, which always rests upon the independence and the freedom of all intuitive perceiving and reflecting, have they themselves closed the door to that knowledge which could be called spiritual enlightenment

A closed door, however, means an obstacle to any progress forward

The way out for a change of the present unhappy state is a courageous joining with the coming spiritual enlightenment

Today man needs only to step forth to meet this spiritual enlightenment, which in the world of thought is already to be found everywhere around him

Together with that courage it suffices for him to reach only a little way before him and in living investigation to begin to occupy himself with all the earnest questions about life which he finds there, so that through the meaningful answers that follow, these questions may carry him ever upward

Spiritual enlightenment always brings progress and ascent if it is rightly used for the benefit of the individual man and of the whole of mankind

And it is precisely spiritual enlightenment that mediates the awareness that nothing is separate, but that everything is joined upward into the one original Source of the life-giving Power

This could and also should lead to the recognition that all which is done by man for the benefit of the work of Creation, and all that is brought to life for the attaining of a purer and more harmonious life here on Earth, is in the end a glorification of the divine greatness

To bear within one's inner being the joy that everything noble and uplifting which is done by the human spirit for others is born in him out of the loving recognition that others can behold in it the glorification of their Creator and Lord, this testifies to a mature advancement of the spirit

Such rejoicing is also like a blazing lamp in which the life-giving oil is never exhausted

Into the inner being of such a man there may then always flow the Power from the never-exhaustible source of Life

The altar of his spirit will remain permanently illumined, and the Rays of the Light of God will be able ever anew to quicken and to strengthen his inner being for a new and courageous movement forward

Such men God has always willed, and therefore He also sends His helps again and again into the depths of the materialities, where all that is weaker has the tendency to fall asleep and thereby to fade in its inward light

Far into the depths remote from the everlasting Light there therefore went forth also the Son of God, Jesus, and after some time there also plunged down a Ray of the living Light separated out of Parzival himself, who dwells in the halls of the castle of the Grail at the summit of Primordial Creation

Always these were solely and only the inexpressibly loving helps of God, who grants out of Himself the paths for the mediating of strength even to the most distant parts of the Subsequent Creation

It is in part a divine sacrifice granted for those little flames of spiritual life which sink caught in a thousand threads in the depths, where without the help of the Light they cannot long maintain their own flickering light of life

Just so does life in the materialities appear when seen from the heights of the Light

And therefore again and again help descends to the developing human sparks in the form of a strengthening spiritual enlightenment

And men have only to take firm hold of this enlightenment, so that it may bear them higher out of the depths to places where there is more Light and more Life

Therein lies the true liberation of man

A liberation through the enlightenment which brings the knowledge of the true meaning of existence

The Power contained therein for the human spirit comes from the origin of all being, from the Source of the Light

If it is then received by the human spirit and used for the further spreading of the Light and of the Good, then it is only a multiplying of the original Holy Divine Power

Therefore all good is to be done with the awareness that it is to the Glory of God

If Jesus told His disciples to keep continually the feast of the Holy Spirit in His remembrance, then this again is nothing other than a reminder that in their participation in the radiation of the Love of God they are to do everything only to the glory of Him who sent the Son of God to bring help to the whole Subsequent Creation

By the words about remembrance Jesus meant that men should always think of the fact that everything comes solely from His Father, from the Holy God, and that therefore all our doing which contains good is a participation in the great Law of giving and taking, and is therefore to be done, for its heightening, with the joyful awareness that thereby the human spirit glorifies in the first place the Glory of God

All that is brought to life through deeds of good is to be filled by man with thoughts of the glorification of God the Father

Therein lies the true humility of the human spirit

Thereby there would also swiftly come among men experiences which would confirm to them that the personified Will of Godthe Holy Spirit, Imanuel, takes an immediate part in every doing of good which swings in the Will of the Creator

This because everything would very swiftly begin to return to them as a hitherto unknown, ever multiplying good, which would become a lasting part of their own life

The Holy Spirit would with certainty lead it into their path through the Laws of Creation as a confirmation of the glorious foundations upon which the whole pulse of life in the work of Creation is shaped by the Will of God

It would be almost literally like the opening of heavy floodgates which hitherto, through men's estrangement from the Light, hold back from them the great influx of fulfilling blessing and beneficence granted by Imanuel to mankind for its joyful experiencing of every moment of the present on this Earth

The earthly world of men, hitherto filled with so much bitterness and want, would then very swiftly be filled with beneficent gentleness, with hope and with a joy-filled resolve of men to help one another, for in connection with Imanuel every doing of good would at once gain a visible strengthening

Through a knowing connection of men with the Holy Spirit the world would be flooded with a Light such as this small planet has never yet received

Now at last we approach the time when this will also come to pass

How many men will in the end be able to take part in it depends only upon each single man himself, for the decision rests in his free will

Since, however, many men still err and waver, helping thoughts have for some time been circling around the Earth, which mediate the possibility of a connection with the spiritual enlightenment

For a certain time now it has been worked at from the Light that the spiritual enlightenment may come into the nearness of the greatest possible number of men

A great number of luminous hands weave and guide the fates of men so that they may come into the nearness of the knowledge of the Truth contained in the work The Grail Message

This brings much good fruit, which is born and gradually ripens in human hearts

It will gradually come into effect, for the Light already penetrates along paths which had to be shaped over a certain time

These paths, however, are already completed

Nothing now hinders their becoming fully passable, for in the great happenings in the universe which belong to the administration of the animistic weaving everything is already in the right state of ripeness

And if everything goes on along the courses set by the animistic weaving, then it may be said that this year's Christmas is evidently the last which mankind experiences in a manner resting upon the old customs

In the coming years the world will undergo fundamental changes

The knowledge of these coming changes may therefore be regarded as a gift granted for this year's Christmas to all those who are open in their inner being

It also rests only with them whether they join the direction of development which now shows itself as the only right one and as swinging in accord with the Holy Spirit

This coming direction of development rests in the living knowledge of the work The Grail Message, which is fervently made to glow by the human spirit in the doing of mercy to all those who need strength and encouragement

Only out of this can a new world be born, swinging in the blessing and the protection of the Holy Spirit, Imanuel

May this penetrate to the hearts of all those who are ready to hear it

At every moment help can be granted upon all the levels of the working of the human spirit

In intuitive perceiving, in thinking, and of course also in the visible doing of that which is right, and thereby automatically also good and beneficial in the high sense of the Justice of God and of the Love of God

Every mature man will find his place of activity, for it is to show itself everywhere men are to be found

In this visible doing there is to be contained that so long awaited proclaiming of the Truth of God

If it is experienced in pure fervour and if there is contained in it the awareness that it is done by man to the glorification of God, then a great blessing from Imanuel will be able to pour into it all

The spring months will prepare the soil in many men so that the Festival of the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit may become a new kind of experiencing for men in participation in the whole glorification of God the Father in harmony with the other parts of the work of Creation

After a long time that heightened streaming of the Holy Power from the Grail will draw near to the Earth

Everyone will be able to experience it in himself who bears within him the rightly prepared soil in his inner being

Thus already today, in the days of approaching Christmas, some may have in the knowledge of what is coming a gift for their spirit

They may look forward and rejoice that before long the Earth will clothe itself wholly in the Light of God through the immediate nearness of Parzival

May this be a reason for an inner and an outer mobility of the highest degree

At the same time may the sacredness of stillness spread over everything, in which the true spiritual enlightenment may be born

May all be glorified in a true worship of the Creator

Above the Earth there may be heard the great call of all the luminous servants

Glory to God in the highest, and peace to men of good will!
