Despite all the growing confusion among men on Earth, even today there reaches this or that person here and there a distant sounding of an entirely different kind from the omnipresent and close din and clatter of the gross material world

For a while another attunement surrounds him, and he is then permitted fully to experience the omnipresent Light

Suddenly he finds himself in another space and another time

He perceives it as though he were borne upwards, above everything low and earthbound, which in that moment recedes far aside

In his inner being there spreads all at once a peaceful stillness and a clarity of the perceiving of himself

He feels blessed and would wish it to last as long as possible… for ever

Such is the state when a sounding from the heights of the spiritual home gradually descends to a person thus graced

The initial all-penetrating peaceful silence is gradually filled by the gentle tones of a supra-earthly sounding of music

Everything is imbued with the beauty of a dazzling and singular golden, blissful lustre

And then from somewhere a figure draws near, radiating outwards with an inner light

A spiritual helper, coming from the heights, approaches

The nature of his personality calls forth the impression of being surrounded by a loving maturity, which immediately creates trust and security

A wisdom ungraspable by the intellect, radiating from him, fills all the space

The helper speaks

His words form themselves into pictures which resemble the living flow of a stream of forms and shapes hitherto unknown on Earth

Each single picture conveys a whole section of new life-giving knowledge

Knowledge of the spiritual worlds, such as has no parallel on Earth, brings nearer a recognition in comparison with which everything else loses its present significance

All that has hitherto been recognised by men on Earth as the Truth shows itself in reality only as the basic structure of the knowledge of the greatness of God's creating of all life, which in its almost boundless diversity is contained in the work of Creation

That which is recognised on Earth as the Truth about the work of Creation and about the Laws working within it is an introductory description of a great all-comprehensiveness, which hitherto always had to be diminished in order thereby to become acceptable at all to the human brain with its learned comprehension

The Truth known on Earth is, by the very nature of men's comprehension, only a basic outline of the otherwise perpetually undulating happening of Life

It cannot therefore be called the whole Truth, especially in the case of the description of the Primordial Creation, for these are points of support of the basic building steps of the Truth, which in the Grail Message were brought into relief out of the all-comprehensiveness, out of the richness of all that is found in unimaginable abundance in the great radiation of the Light of those planes

The points of support were described as an initial hold for the ascent of the human spirit

Men on Earth have hitherto received the knowledge only of the most important description of the Life out of the Light of God

This is because a wider extension leading more towards its completeness men would hitherto not have been able to encompass and thereby to accept rightly

The bringing of the knowledge of the Truth about the Creator and about the work of Creation to this Earth is always the hardest task for the Light, for the description of the Truth must adapt itself to the given maturity of the men to whom the Truth is presented

There was and always is contained in this the highest sacrifice and exertion of those who, for the sake of mediating a partial knowledge of the Truth, come directly into the materialities

In the case of the Divinely unsubstantiate kind, as it was with the Son of God Jesus and subsequently with the Son of Man, this will remain for mankind an incomprehensible gift of God which on the part of the human spiritual kind it will never be possible to repay

Therefore men must exert themselves to recognise the Truth and also to receive it into themselves and to live it, so that at least in part, through their rejoicing in the benefit which the Truth brings them for their ascent, they may be permitted to radiate into the vibrations of Creation a certain counterweight to the gift of God

They also need to perceive inwardly that this complete Truth about the work of Creation contains within itself far more knowledge than what has been revealed to them of it here in the materialities

Only that is ever revealed for which human comprehension has ripened

In the all-comprehensiveness of existence, and that already merely in the very lowest spiritual planes of the Primordial Creation, they would lose themselves, and the unpreparedness of their inner maturity would threaten them in that their consciousness would be confused in the experiencing of the multiplicity of forms and events, or would even be entirely lost in the multiplicity and power of the Light dwelling there

The degree of development and of maturity forms the path of knowledge from below upwards always as far as that boundary above which there then occurs the loss of a consciousness which is not yet able to stand firm in the power and variety of the conditions of life there

The boundary of the spirit's comprehension can therefore not be crossed too far in advance, for that would disturb the guidance of human spirits willed by the Light

This is the reason why hitherto nothing more precise is known on Earth about so many glorious events and about all the experiencing of the inhabitants of the spiritual planes, apart from those most basic pictures which form the steps that lead the human spiritual spark to the knowledge of God

In part it is also because it is too remote and of another nature in its kind, for which hitherto it corresponded best if one spoke only of the undreamt-of blessedness to be found everywhere in the luminous heights of the spiritual planes

Among other things, for the greatest part of all that fills Life in the spiritual planes words and concepts are lacking here on Earth in human thinking

The otherness of the full-valued existence in the spiritual has, in the human comprehension of life here on Earth, no necessary anchorage formed in words and concepts

The spiritual life is other than that which is a part of the forms and events in the Subsequent Creation

Hitherto the degree of maturity of men on Earth has always formed a boundary to a closer understanding of the spiritual, beyond which it was not possible to advance further

Now, together with the advancing liberation of the spirit from the intellect, the knowledge of the Truth in the work of Creation is again to be moved a small step further

It must, however, also be only very gradual and always proceed from the necessary understanding of the previous foundations of the Truth, for it holds good that this refreshing abundance of knowledge would at the present stage of development often only confuse mankind and lead it away from the fundamental direction in its striving towards the Light

Therefore the All-Wisdom of God has hitherto always patiently granted only vistas which formed important parts of the knowledge that men can and also are to make full use of for their ascent

Whoever, however, longs to advance further may now gradually widen and complete the existing vistas into Creation in an upward direction, provided that he takes care that the original impulse for it is pure humility

If he preserves pure humility within his inner being and remains far from pride in the widening knowledge acquired, which may come to him in the time of the coming enlightenment, he may draw for himself everything that is now granted from the spiritual home as strengthening knowledge

In the radiation of the Light of God there are contained in the spiritual planes, in a single moment, so many events,

that human thinking is unable to grasp even a thousandth part of them, however many whole descriptive books were devoted to it

Every single particle to which concentrated attention were devoted would immediately show that it again bears within itself the possibility of unfolding a whole further independent chapter of entirely new knowledge

And these mentioned chapters moreover always interpenetrate one another at the same time, and thereby form ever new impulses to the understanding of the greatness of the radiated Grace of God, which gave rise to the work of Creation

Real life prevails solely and only in the spiritual part of the work of Creation

The living vibration of the Light penetrating everything directly and undiminished makes the spiritual planes of the Primordial Creation an entirely different place of Life from what is hitherto known to men

The limitation in the understanding of the events of the spiritual planes lies, among other things, also in the persisting bondage of earthly human thinking to this space and time

Not one of these magnitudes, understood on Earth as a three-dimensional picture of the course of the worlds, can be compared with the flowing of Life in the blessed planes of the spiritual home

Life in the Light of the spiritual planes escapes by its very nature men's hitherto earthly comprehension, and in order that it may be made accessible at least in part to the thinking here, it must therefore always be clothed in the three-dimensionality of space and time, whereby the very essence of the spiritual life contained in it is at once lost

Thereby the mentioned necessary narrowing and rigidity comes about at once

Men have not the least presentiment of all that is possible in the spiritual worlds and that is at the same time at every moment entirely self-evident as inseparable from the experiencing of existence there, which however holds good only for the degree of spiritually mature consciousness there

Indeed it is so

For a better understanding of the distance of comprehension prevailing between the earthly and the spiritual world, let only a small vista be shown out of the mentioned abundance of purely spiritual possibilities which are part of the existence of those who are already permitted to dwell in the spiritual planes of the Primordial Creation

One of these possibilities, which for many an earthman is something new and thereby also hard to imagine, is the breadth of the working of the spirit's consciousness, which may be called multi-consciousness

“Multi-consciousness”, or otherwise “the possibility of being permitted, with one's conscious participation, to be in the moment of the present in several places in Creation at once”

To earthmen it is as yet not sufficiently known that in the case of a fully mature human spirit his own will works not only within himself but acts outside his spiritual essence, as a homogeneously full-valued part which can be present in several places at once

Hitherto, therefore, nothing is surmised here on Earth of the fact that a fully developed human spirit, blessed by the Light in his mature wisdom, may in the service of God be incarnated here and there at his own wish through his own will, without his own spiritual core in its full consciousness thereby leaving the gardens of Paradise

The spiritually created, that is, those who did not have to go into the materialities in order to attain their development, or those human spirits who have already reached the completeness of their ripening, can even, for a definite task, be spread out by their will into several incarnations at once, and that in various world-parts of the Subsequent Creation

However incomprehensible this appears to the earthly intellect, it is possible, and it also happens thus from time to time, if such a spirit needs to acquire the requisite knowledge for some kind of service to the Light

The spirit may experience his working for the Light in several places in the Subsequent Creation, whence he draws for himself further knowledge which makes him still more capable of helping in further tasks

Therein the power of his capacity of intuitive perceiving unfolds ever more, and thereby he may grow unceasingly in his blessed knowledge of the Creator

It is only the comprehension of the intellectual kind, concentrated in the present of material thinking, which gives man the impression that this is something impossible

Yet in the planes of the spiritual worlds it may be called one of the natural abilities of the spirit, once he is already fully ripened in his development

The inner spiritual self-consciousness bears within itself unfolded abilities proceeding from the fundamental nature of the spiritual spark

The abilities are continually unfolded through conscious service to the Light

The conscious spirit works in the body and in the soul, and on many further planes besides at the same time, if this is needed for some fulfilment of service to God

The material body containing the radiation of a mature spirit is then connected with an extended ray sent out from his will, which leads to the forming of animistic, ethereal and astral paths, until it finally attains the quickening of the circulation of life in an organism of the earthly kind

The earthly is, in the true sense of the word, the lowest manifestation of life in which the spiritual can assert itself in Creation

It is a living instrument of the gross material degree, prepared by the animistic servants, in which the spirit draws experiencing for his working on further planes

The spiritual will penetrates the nerves and the blood circulation of the body, thereby quickening the body so that it may serve him for full-valued experiencing, and thereby for the drawing of the experiences needed for development and for a greater acquaintance with the Will of God

For the acceptance of these events earthmen are today still influenced by an excessive limitation of the material comprehension of the work of Creation

This disposition of limited comprehension is given partly by the intellect as an instrument for conscious existence in the earthly world, and partly by the spirit's submission to material space, which has impressed the picture of the whole structure of the universe

At the same time it is a sign of the lukewarmness and backwardness of the spirit, who could always and was also always meant to rise above the boundaries of the material universe

The spiritual in man can always rise above this space and time in order to unite itself with the eternity dwelling in the Light

Man, however, fetters himself in the inability to overstep the picture which forms for him the strong mental impression that through his body he is an inhabitant of the material universe

The picture of the universe and of its structure is likewise, in its distortion, incorrect, yet it is deeply ingrained, and thereby limiting conditions were created for the forming of human thinking, which persist to this day

The beginning of this was given by the distorted conceptions of those who in their maturity, in the striving to understand the Creator and His work of Creation, attained only a narrowing of knowledge, and out of it formed a foundation which became too strongly established as the basic picture of Creation and of the Creator, from which men proceeded and still proceed today

From whatever place on Earth it comes, it is always marked by the limited comprehension of the brain's abilities, namely that everything is in some way connected with matter

It is quite the same whether it is the Bible, the Vedas, the old Slavonic or other pagan conceptions of the world and of its arising, it is always more or less a distorted narrowing of reality

If one goes upwards in gradual ascent, then in the human case sooner or later the upper boundary of comprehension is always reached, beyond which the earthman can no longer pass without his mind becoming helpless in relation to a space exceeding the dimensionality of the space-time of the material world

Everything therefore finally remains bounded by a comprehension bound to matter

The Truth also, which was mediated through the radiating of the Ray of Love from God the Father in the Son of God Jesus and subsequently also in the Son of Man, had to adapt itself in its extent to this comprehension of men, so that any effective hold could be granted at all for the ascent of the human spiritual sparks surrounded by several coverings of material layers down to the degree of the greatest narrowing, which is bound to the earthly abilities of the brain

Both Jesus and the Son of Man always proceeded from the soil which, at the time of Their direct earthly working, was set in men as the highest possible degree of mental comprehension

This was always given by the maturity of the nation into which They were permitted to incarnate

That nation, however much it was always the most mature for the widening of the boundaries of thought in the knowledge of the Truth, carried within itself countless limitations of comprehension given by ingrained conceptions

This mental comprehension prevails among men on Earth even now, and therefore even today it is by no means possible to grant all that in reality could be granted

It will be necessary that this should happen gradually over the span of whole generations

Even though in the coming time of enlightenment only a small part of the abundance of the Truth about the life to be found in the planes of the spiritual Creation will always be newly disclosed, it may be expected that this will bring wholly revolutionary changes in the understanding of men on Earth of all their hitherto existing concepts of the so-called “beyond”

This is because under the concept of the “beyond” men today include predominantly everything ethereal, and this stands, as an inseparable part of the Subsequent Creation, under a very similar kind of comprehension as is the case on Earth

Above all it is then the perceiving of space and time, which is always necessarily bound up with material forms in the Subsequent Creation as it was radiated by the activity of the High animistic servants of Valhalla in the forming of the annexe of the seven world-parts

At the beginning, for the new acquiring of an understanding of all that is to be found above the Subsequent Creation, it is necessary to approach with an openness to the perception that the spiritual is of an entirely different nature, if we are to compare it with everything that is of material origin

In the condition of this otherness is included everything that is to be found in the spiritual, that is, every kind of life

To this belong all the qualities and the essence of all events and forms

For some it will perhaps, in its newness, be harder to learn to perceive in this way all that the concept of the spiritual means

Gradually, however, it will become nearer, and in the end many glorious clarifications will be found in it of questions which hitherto had to remain unanswered for men on Earth

Therefore it may be regarded as an advance which is an inseparable part of the coming great spiritual enlightenment

The enlightenment which stands as a blessed promise above mankind on Earth is part of the new building up of earthly life itself, which will come in full measure after the period of the great changes

Everyone should therefore welcome this already unfolding period as the time when everything will change for the better in his life too

As better he may regard precisely this, that a great number of questions which quite recently appeared to him bold or even presumptuous will be answered for him

In the work of Creation, however, there are no unanswerable questions

There are only questions unsuspected, and thereby unasked, in the limitedness of comprehension of the majority of mankind
